Not a supporters' bar but the Irish pub under the train station at Hackescher Markt train station might have it on - central and easy to get to.

The Oscar wylde pub on friedrikstrasse 5 mins walk from the train station

"I hope we don't play Hooper tonight, no point in cup tying him in case one of the big teams comes knocking."

This is a genuine quote from someone emailing in to the tv tonight. Haha!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GRD, have you nothing else to do this evening so you thought you would try fishing!

Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E well his new team ain't worth talking about
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

GRD, I'd be grateful if you could remind me (and yourself!) which league will your team be playing in this season?

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

You got it in one Mrs E!

Agree0 Disagree0

@ ChrisBhoy

Absolutely. Rangers will be playing in the newly named Scottish League One.

Now, if you could answer me this, what has that got to do with my post about Gary Hooper? {Ed007's Note - I'm racking my brain trying to think how they came up with the new names, I'm sure I've heard them before.}

Agree0 Disagree0

GRD if you had any brains you'd be worried about your new club surviving the season, I think come January you would have spent all your revenue. Great times for Celtic ahead we are 20 years ahead of you footballing wise and financially.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha. Ed007 you're right it must have taken them all of 10 seconds to come up with them!

I actually agree with you, no name. Celtic are years and years ahead of Rangers on and off the pitch. No question about it. Anyone who thinks/says otherwise are in denial or just thick. However, in a one off cup game, anything can happen. So I believe DT is right to say what he said.

Alright ed, I know its hard for us to sign young foreign players outwith the EU if they do not have caps for their country. Any idea if it affects players who are maybe 25+, had been capped by their country but are no longer a regular for their country. There would surely be a few players who would be cheap options in the south American leagues like this.
cw-88 {Ed007's Note - Currently a non-EU player applying for a work permit must have played for his country in at least 75% of its competitive 'A' team matches for which he was available for selection during the previous two years, and his country must have averaged at least 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings over the previous two years. If a player does not meet those criteria, the club wishing to sign him may appeal if they believe that he is a special talent (like Wanyama) and "able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in the UK."

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers ed, knew there was something, just wasn't sure of the specifics.
cw-88 {Ed007's Note - No worries.}

God sent a lightning bolt on SEVCO today at Murray Park.

He doesn't like cheating the first sept signing ban methinks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm thinking if SEVCO offered cliftonville their mp training facilities today there wouldn't have been the lightning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fact is sevco could never let them is MP! Can imagine the orange bigoted protesting outside the place stopping then going in!

Ed just been reading about Celtic getting €23.67 million for last years CL . Take it that would exclude tickets, hospitality etc so all in all anice little earner . What I can't get my head around is that Man City made 7 million more than us without even winning a game . How does this work . It seems to be about Market/Pool whatever that is . I also noticed the difference in TV money between the two teams 10 mill . DH {Ed007's Note - The market pool is determined by the value of the television market in each country. There are more viewers in England basically. In the 2011 CL final Barca beat Man Utd yet Man Utd made more money out of the tournament than Barca, only about 2/3m Euros but still more.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does our £20.4 million figure exlude gate receipts etc Ed yeah?

Ed what's your thoughts on the young Spanish boy Sergio Buenacasa looks a class act on YouTube would like to see this one happen as we'll as a proven goal scorer! {Ed007's Note - I don't really have an opinion on it, it is neither here nor there if we sign him. Anyone can look good on YouTube compilations, don't judge a player by that alone, especially youth players. If he does sign he will be a youth/reserve player, after all he is only 17.}

Saw on tv Gossip that City are going to let that boy ibrahim (next Pat Viera supposidly) leave with release clause of £750,000 being touted. Celtic linked in the English Star along with Newcastle, West Brom, Swansea and someone else to be interested. Could do a lot worse in my opinion, boy looks pretty talented. this is the kinda target I would like to see us put in early bid for to try and get ahead of the EPL teams.

Off for a wee day out with the boys then Celtic park.Really looking forward to tonight, something I did not see coming if I am honest.Let's hope we get a big crowd and get in about this early on. No harm to the Cliftonville Bhoys but I want to see Celtic really go for the throat tonight.

I think we have to send a message to Elfsberg, who it seems are the fittest team in Sweden, that we are ready and waiting for them.No Ledley, Matthews or Virgil is a pain but hopefully they will be ready for the next tie.I would guess Balde will start so let's get right behind him from the off.There's a beast in there and we can bring it out.

Lastly, tonight's mascot. Wee Oscar will be well known to Hoops fans.Anyone who has followed this kid on twi**er cannot fail to be moved by him.He has become a bit of an iconic figure for seriously ill kids everywhere.This wee Bhoy is a real hero and one of our own. I think a special chant might be required for him!.green jhedi

Couldn, t agree more gj really looking forward to the nights match, going early as I want to visit kerrydale bar unfortunatly i, m driving tonight as i, m going straight from work, so its just a recce lol, big it up for OSCAR hh ; happynoods

Agree0 Disagree0

Enjoy your day and night GJ, the atmosphere in the first leg was great, hope tonight's is the same.
Unfortunately I can't make it but will be there for the Elfsborg game, Celtic teams of late (and further back than that) seem to take their foot off the gas if they think the game/tie is dead, I'm the same as you GJ, we need to get out the traps early, play our game for the 90mins and send out a decent message to Elfsborg and whoever else might be watching, I don't care if its clifftonville, it's a game o fitba!
Balde has still to turn up, I think Celtic park will be key to this guys confidence and development, good chance for him tonight if he gets a sniff?

Before I start I just want to say I'm a massive fan of Neil Lennon and think he's done a great job and hope he's here for a long time.
However, I'm not too keen on his comments he made about getting a new striker in by thursday so they are eligible for the Elfsborg games.
I know we're pretty much through but I don't like to see us show disrespect to our opponents (as well as tempt fate!). I imagine he wouldn't have been too happy if the Juve team were talking like that after our first leg against them last season.

Henriks Tongue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good point, we would be raging if an opponent treated us that way.
Usually Celtic have more tact and diplomacy with any opponent, no matter who and that is why we are respected in the football world.
It's fine thinking positively and planning for progression, confidently and privately but showing disrespect publicly is not the Celtic way.

Jungle Jim

Depends on the paper you read

Asked what he will do should Bangura's two employers meet in the next round, Lennon said: "Me personally, I will probably speak to the player.
"But I'm not going to try to put any more pressure on him than he is already under.
"I think everyone knows what our feelings are about the situation.
"We're doing them a favour as well as them doing us a favour."
However, Lennon said he would not start thinking about the Elfsborg tie until after the second leg against Northern Irish champions Cliftonville.
"Should we get through the tie, we'll have them watched in the next few days, " he said.

A far more believeable quote I think you will find?

Read we are in for rudnevs, genuinely excited about this he is class. If we do sign him coupled with the 2 we bought already I'd say this was an extremely successful window, gms looks like a no go but I'd still like a lb, but Celtic and lbs well we all know what that's like. People all over this site shouting about a number 10 but we have 2 fantastic players for that position already in commons and rogic. we as a club are definitely moving up in the world.
