Thought Hazards red card was a bit harsh. WTF was the bb doing lying on the ball? You can see he tried to kick the ball away but caught the boy, hope common sense prevails and the red gets rescinded . It's a bad day when these boys are told to waste time if the team is winning.

Totally agree the ball boy was at it, unfortunately Hazard had a small dig at him and the whole incident as everybody knows will be blowing out of proportion and the police will get involved then prison sentence will be mentioned. Hope the young ballboy plays the incident down and doesn't go for the the guy to be hounded out of the game.....Stevie

That wee t*t deserved to be kicked he was clearly trying to hold onto the ball and not give it to hazard.

Am I just getting old but the ballBOY was SEVENTEEN! Is that not a touch too old for a ballboy? Harsh, but the kid was at it.............green jhedi

Just read that the ball boy was 17 so hardly a little boy like some people have said and also he posted on twattter before the game that he was there for and I quote " #Needed #For #Timewasting "

Personally I would lf kicked him a few more times.

Reminded me of a ballboy at cappielow, who I know, he tried to waste a bit of time bouncing the ball as morton were a goal up. john fallon shouted 'give us that f+ckin ball' and he dropped it like a red hot brick. I was right next to it. final score 1-3.

Question ED007; Talking to my mate about greens plan to sell the name for £1.5, he's against it by the way, but he raised a good point, if true.Some fans are okay with it claiming it will always be ibrox to them, fair enough and I can see where their coming from, but he claims that ALL tv and radio outlets have to call it by the full, new, official name.It seems Ashleys lawyers nipped MOTD for saying it will always be St James park to them when he sponsored Newcastles stadium.Heard anything about this, or will it be a contracted thing? If you can only call it by the new name then the original will pass by in the eyes of the broadcasters surely?...........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - It will be known as the sponsored name on TV/Radio etc and on matchday tickets and merchandise. It will depend on the contract of course but it will be along the lines of Man City with Etihad.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED007; Thanks mate.I kinda thought there might be a legal requirement to use the new name on any official documents or commentaries.This does raise the issue of fans saying the name won't change to them, where it counts, Europe and TV coverage, the name will be new.If we do go down that road either Celtic park or Parkhead must be in the new title. Or maybe the "Paradise Nike Arena!" Got a ring to it for £2-3m per year for a three year deal!.......green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I actually wouldn't mind what the stadium was 'officially' called, all the fans will still talk about Parkhead or CP. As long as it is a bit classy and not some low budget sports shop that makes a kids jumble sale look tidy. One thing I would like though would be a long term deal, say 10-20 years, it all becomes a bit tacky if the stadium's name changes every 3-5 years. The image of the club has to remain paramount in any deal IMO, I would rather not have a deal than whore ourselves to low end brands for the sake of a couple of million. }

If Hooper doesn't move in this transfer window and Hodgson caps him in the February Friendly, does anyone think he would then sign a new contract.
He would have got the cap he wants and his value would have gone up, as far as Celtic is concerned.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I don't think so cause he would have been called up of not hurt and I don't think he acknowledges that, he would just look at ff and say if he can get in then he can. I think he wants to be in epl to be home, I think that's what Ed has been saying.

It's one thing the SFL allowing Rangers into their bottom tier without footballing history or accounts for four years. But allowing them into cup competitions is another matter. Without footballing accounts they shouldn't be in the cups. Regardless of SFL going against their own regulations. Any team drawn and refusing to play Rangers in a cup is surely within their rights.

My mate told me too have a look at a link he had from the rangers media, I have called them ostriches, deluded, in denial etc, but after a quick read of it...I now beleive they are brainwashed& have chromosomes missing.. Comparing themselves too Martin Luther Kings Birmingham letter, all about injustice!!..They Have Been Condemnd Without Trial...There Guilt Was Pre-Determined....Unlawful sanctions Imposed on them.....It now appears Scotland has a new secret shame, As nobody media etc has the desire too discuss these Injustices Heaped on rangers!!!Elements of the press who had rangers Condemd before the verdict are now urging the rangers fans to Forgive Forget& Move on!!..(I thought it couldn't get any worse)....Its all about attacking& destroying the largest gathering of anti- Protestants trying to seperate country& culture, sweeping injustice under the carpet!!!!Prime examples are Coatbridge(my home town)&Glasgow Council who even use Green& Gold Buses(side spliting, pmsl typing this)It has been flourishing& is deeply rooted.The Labour goverment whitewashed Coatbridge that's what were up against they state.lmao...The assault on rangers is an assault on common purpose& the freedom of benevolent scottish protestant people!...They will never turn the other cheek as the wounds still fresh..Republicans in office& in every corner of postion in scotland.There even paranoid of there own paranoia now.lol..I felt sorry for the genuine support thru all this saga, but if this is the mindset of a deady bear good riddence to the vile toxic establishment! stevo

My mate, big bluenose, told me about this stuff weeks ago and he blames a mob, I use that word deliberately, called the union bears.According to him they are determined to keep this ulster/protestant nonsense alive. Like the "fleg" protests in norn irn, this is the dying embers of an outdated, bigoted attitude of supremacy.When he started taking his boy this season because of the affordable pricing he genuinely was enjoying it.It seems that now the old songbook has been found and it is business as normal, he will not renew next year.Like many decent rangers fans he thought that this might be a new era, young kids and no sectarianism.It would appear he was wrong..........green jhedi

Hey guys i'm a huge hooper fan, and in my eyes he has more than repaid the 2.4 million celtic paid for him, no one can blame him for wanting international recognition, lets face it, it doesn't matter what he does in scotland mediocre players down south will always get call ups before him for one reason they are playing week in week out in a league that is extremely strong. I believe the EPL will suit hooper's game down to the ground and wish him all the best when he does move on, and I will continue to follow his career wherever he goes.

Champions League Money 2012-13

UEFA has issued its UEFA Champions League revenue distribution system for the forthcoming campaign. The estimated gross commercial revenue from the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup is 1.34bn.

Of that estimated gross commercial revenue, 55m will be allocated exclusively to the play-off rounds, as was the case in the 200912 cycle: each of the 20 clubs participating in the play-offs will collect a fixed amount of 2.1m.

Furthermore, as decided by the UEFA Executive Committee at its meeting of 30 June 2012 on the recommendation of the Club Competitions Committee, a contribution of 40m will be made from the UEFA Champions League club share to the UEFA Europa League club share. In addition, 3m from the club share will be designated to subsidise the solidarity amounts for sides eliminated in the qualifying phase of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Some 75% of the total revenue from media rights and commercial contracts concluded by UEFA, up to a maximum of 530m, will go to the clubs, while the remaining 25% will be reserved for European football and remain with UEFA to cover organisational and administrative costs and solidarity payments to associations, clubs and leagues.

A total of 82% of any revenue received from the same stream in excess of 530m will be allocated to the clubs, with the other 18% allotted to European football and remaining with UEFA for the purposes listed above.

The net amount available to the participating clubs will be split 500.7m in fixed payments and 409.6m in variable amounts (market pool). This will be distributed according to the proportional value of each television market represented by the clubs taking part in the UEFA Champions League (group stage onwards), and will be split among those sides competing from a given association.

The 32 clubs featuring in the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League group stage can anticipate a minimum 8.6m and the team that goes on to win the trophy next spring could collect 37.4m, not counting the market pool share.

Each of the 32 sides involved in the group stage will collect a base fee of 8.6m. Performance bonuses will also see 1m paid for a win and 500,000 for a draw in the group phase.

The teams competing in the round of 16 can also expect to pick up 3.5m each, the quarter-finalists 3.9m and the semi-finalists 4.9m. The UEFA Champions League winners will receive 10.5m and the runners-up 6.5m.

Meanwhile, the winners of the 2012 UEFA Super Cup will earn 3m and the runners-up 2.2m.

Under the solidarity distribution system, every domestic champion club that fails to reach the UEFA Champions League group stage will be entitled to 200,000. In addition, each club that plays in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League will receive 140,000 provided they do not qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Likewise, every team performing in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League will earn 140,000 provided they do not qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage, while each side eliminated in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League will get 140,000.

To break it down for you as of now CFC have guaranteed income of 15.6 million Euros:

Champions League Group Stage: 8.6 million Euros
Win Bonus: 1 million Euros
Draw Bonus: 500,000 Euros
Last 16 qualification: 3.5 million Euros.

This does not include any share of the market pool (TV money etc) or matchday revenue.}

michu has signed a new 4 year deal with swansae, and most people would probably agree he has been one of the signings of the summer in english football. Now I for one don't have a clue what swansae are able to afford when it comes to player wages etc, but surely if michu were to leave swansae hed be going to a bigger club than hooper would get a move to seeing as teams like norwich have bidded for him, why not get another year on his deal and be patient till the summer hed bang the goals in get a better move plus it would be better for the club regarding transfer money, I just don't like all this blatant wanting to leave, fair enough if he wants to go its upto him, I know people are saying he wants to play for england etc, but money must also be a major factor in this situation if he's not signing a contract because there's plenty of clubs with him on their radar hed get a deal wether he signed one or not. I just don't see why he's not just met with the club and told them straight what he wants to do instead the club have to tiptoe around him trying to get him to stay.

I've said it before and ill say it again no player is bigger than the shirt and if wanyama or hooper want to leave I have every faith in our prized asset which is John park if he was to leave I think he is worth more to us than hooper or wanyam I believe celtics scouting can find more gems and to turn £900k for wanyama into 10ml+ is and exceptional bit of business, on another note if hooper leaves I don't think Charlie Austin should be pursued alright he's a great poacher and good in the air but there's no room for profit to be made in my opinion I'd sign johnn Russell or Freddy montero and maybe take a punt on agudelo and Rojas as he's been described as the new messi what's your thoughts ed ??

Obviously they were ther to see wanyama... Man Utd don't need any more strikers and darren fletcher is out for rest of season so fergie will want more depth in there also spurs just lost sandro for rest of season so they are looking to do the same.

i see some fannys are wanting boyd back because he was better than larsson.. surely this is proof positive that they are deluded and maybe even deranged . record scorer in the spl, no we can't argue with that, but that of course means stealing another teams history, but we all know they have no shame when it comes to that sort of thing . boyd stats, 6 years at killie average 10.3 goals per season . 4 years at dead rangers av 25.1 goals per season, overall 17.4 gps . international goals 8 . henrick stats . 6 playing years at celtic { I year out broken leg } 26.2 gps . international goals 37 . so going on those averages if henrick had played and scotland for as long as boyd 260 goals . 100 more . boyd left for middlesboro, forest and portland . henrick as we know cl medal with barca and man. you . their life time stats are not that far apart . boyd 1.5 goals per game, henrick 1.7 gpg . the difference is boyd done it over 290 games .. henrick kept it up for 620 games, and at a higher level .. so bears stop being so stupid, boyd shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as the king of kings . panda/porche .. shammy

im free, will play for next to no wages, just enough to get buy and that. good in the middle and out right and can send a nice weighted pass. pacey enough also.
not the best in the air as i'm about the height of jinkys waist with ma hands in the air but hey, all the greats have one flaw right?
seriously, I hope we can keep hooper but i'm confident that russell and mackay steven would be great additions to the forward line until the summer if we lose hooper. Sorry guys but I'm sick and tired about ways to keep Hooper, the guy wants to leave, let him go IMO he's not as good as he's made out, there are plenty of natural goal scorers who would love to play for the hoops. I honestly wish hoops all the best but he can be replaced. I understand where players are coming from when they say they want to play elsewhere, there's nothing wrong with ambition. Look at a certain team in the third div and you ask yourself, where is their ambition? But I think some of the squad should remember Celtic pulled them out from nowhere and they now think they are too good. Just my opinion

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Football agents are the cause of all the problems in the game. All they see are pound signs and may not always give the players the correct advice. By all accounts it looks like we will need to brace ourselves for the eventual big bids that look as though will arrive for Hoops and Wanyama. Reading other pages on here it looks like it could be a bidding war for big Vic with Man utd, Arsenal, Man city, Spurs and a few top sides abroad all said to be intrested. I just hope we can hold onto the big man till the end of the season as he has longer on his contract to go, I have resigned myself to the fact that Hooper looks to be going in this window hopefully 8m or more would allow us to get a good replacment in with a some to spare. With the clubs mentioned being intrested in Wanyama I really think we should dig our heels in for top top dollar, then it's over to John park to unearth another gem or two I hope. maccabhoy
