Hey bhoys, not posted for ages. With our new chairman and my family namesake ian bankier a marketing man what does everyone feel about naming the stadium? I am all for it ! We do not have an historic name as per say so for example (the famous grouse arena) works for me. I wish I got a cheaper season ticket just for havin the bankier surname lol hail hail bankier bhoy aka canadian pete {Ed007's Note - Hi Pete mate, nice to hear from you, I hope you aren't in Calgary, heard it has been a bit nippy over there. I wouldn't bother with naming the stadium, it would bring in good money and the fans would still call it CP or Parkhead. It's only another form of advertising.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Exactly ie Newcastles stadium

Glad to see that nut job Balotelli got charged. Couldn't understand why the supposedly best ref (or one of them) dint send him off?? Totally won them the game too!! Im sure you've already discussed this more than you wanted too. Long way to go bud, he'll get his man.Karma CB

Got that sinking feeling that lawell and co are looking across the city to greyskull and thinking, once again, that we've no need to strengthen!
Any thoughts ed!?
MistahB {Ed007's Note - I can't see it.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Not this time.

i would say this is probably our best and last chance to really hammer the nail in the coffin and dominate for years to come. i believe the board realise this as well

Agree2 Disagree0

I would like to think the board have learnt there lesson surely !!
Cb

Wont happen this year
hearing Rabiu Ibrahim is going down a storm with all the management
was told he's as fast as Agathe and as tricky as Lubo

Bhaldrick

Unfortunately he's the size and build of Juninho , not ideal for the cluggers of the SPL .

As every one else just seems to be firing names from the bundisliga at you ed, do u think we should go for mario gomez from bayern, he looks decent lol {Ed007's Note - There was talk last night of a swap deal with Samaras for Gotze. He wants to follow in the footsteps of his heros Paul Lambert and Andy Thom.}

Andy Thom lol, forgot about him!! CB

Alright Ed and all the bhoys, great 3 points at the weekend. Exactly the kind of result and game where you need to just grind out the result, dare I say the kinda game that wins you the league. Plus a wee bonus yesterday too, I had a strong feeling that ur 2nd team (Man utd) would win it 2-1 so a few pennies was just the cherry on top. Oh and the bird was mad for it too! TMI possibly but f*** it! ;) Great weekend. LOL!!Mon the hoops CB;) {Ed007's Note - Hi CB mate. Sounds like you had a nice weekend away.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

U know me bud, I like to keep it quiet lol. Yeah fantastic was at gleneagles golfing even a good day in January! Sometimes u just get lucky, bit like Edus goal lol!!
Free Harry Rednap lol
CB {Ed007's Note - Harry Redkanpper is flyer than a bag of monkeys! A bank account called Rosie47? Sounds more like someone you would meet in certain internet chat rooms!!}

Agree1 Disagree0

CB for once I was actually glad that we commited more fouls than the other team...rather than just let teams 'run at them'. Was a nervy game but ground out result that as you say, wins titles ! - Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes defo to both posts, I was very surprised to see Rod Stewart there? I know he's tim daft but he had to sit there with the rest of us mere mortals. Can't imagine the buddies executive packages are up to much ;) LOL!! CB

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Rosie47 sounded too good to be true, she knew a hell of a lot about Celtic tho lol CB

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur right on "Arry" My father who is a prominent business man tells me there's no way he should be able to get out of this one, he's been caught bang to rights. But you never can tell when uv a wee bit of fame it seems to go a long way. The judge may be a spud!! lol!! CB {Ed007's Note - Have you noticed how many times he drives in and out of Spurs training ground on transfer deadline day? He should be taxed on his bloody carbon footprint!! Us Eds run a sweep to see where he will pop up next.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I do like the way he just tells it like it is tho, can't see him doing that in court tho lol. Cb {Ed007's Note - Have you seen the court's artist impression of him? He looks like Ronnie Kray with streaks in his hair:

Tongue in cheek post here ed lol

Just seen that the SFA have moved 2013 Scottish cup final to a Sunday the day after the Champions League Final is this because
1- They now know that there beloved Rangers wont be granted a UEFA Liecence or
2-They are going to make Celtic play in two cup finals in one weekend

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - I thought of that today if we get to the CL final :-)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah, but I can't see it being a huge logistical problem tbh bhoys.

Bhaldrick you'll put Ed out a job soon, I'm pretty impressed by ur knowledge of Celtic and the current football events. You know ur stuff bud. Go ursel man!
CB ;) {Ed007's Note - You get paid for a job CB. They don't even pay my Prozac or Viagra bill for me.}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED007, Bhaldrick how about this for a game. To do away with "meaningless" friendlies why don't Rangers play Portsmouth LOSER pays both tax bills ha ha (Dallas refereeing OF COURSE) Timalloy {Ed007's Note - With 'Arry Redknapper as guest manager. Mandaric and Whyte in tow together... you couldn't follow those two with RADAR.}

Djibril Cisse is better and would score more goals than hooper & stokes combined

Believable1 Unbelievable2

What age is cisse? A quality player but a bit hit n miss for me, no guarantee his style would suit spl, and is he not a bit disruptive? Not exactly a target man either is he? Then there's the wages..... I'd leave well alone

IMO cisse was gash in the premiership from what I can mind? Not sure bout this one bhoys?!?!

Hi ed,was curious to know if it's defo the shame will not be eligible for euro football next season due to their lazy accounting?and if so why we're they eligible this year?
Love the site thanks . Hoodbhoy {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate and welcome. It is not definite as yet but it is a doubt if Rangers will get a Euro licence for next season. Why they got one this year? I have no idea if I am honest.}

(not a rumour)A lot of attacks on big Sam from Celtic fans , its no coinsidence that his best spell in a Celtic jersey have coincided with a rich vein of form from the team in general .The big man is involved in a lot of off ball play drawing defenders all over the park leaving space and time for team mates and whilst on the ball running at the oppisition can cause them all sorts of bother.

Lennon has shown faith in him and having more knowledge than the average fan has got it right in most occasions!. TTTS

Ed,
this Celic or morvan,mervan or marmite whatever name they put on his jersey .
who decides the price for compensation if it has to be paid?and if they cant afford to pay the money would he become a free agent again?

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - Here are the SPL rules that cover it:

In the event of the two Clubs concerned not reaching agreement on the amount of any Compensation payable, the new Club must, on the date of Registration or, if later, on the date of any first offer of Compensation, pay to the Player's former Club at least 50% of the highest amount offered or, as the case may be, offered, plus VAT at the standard rate. All offers of Compensation shall be in writing and shall be copied to the Secretary by recorded delivery post when they are sent to the Player’s former Club. In the event that the amount of Compensation ordered to be paid by a Compensation Tribunal is less than the amount previously paid in terms of this Rule or if no Compensation is ordered to be so paid then the Club which has received such payment shall be liable to forthwith repay as a debt the amount overpaid or, where no payment is so ordered to be paid, the amount paid, to the Club which made such payment.

A Compensation Tribunal shall be convened and its members appointed by the Board. The Clubs concerned shall provide the Compensation Tribunal with all the relevant information and documentation that the tribunal may require.

Unless otherwise agreed between the Clubs concerned, such agreed terms being set out in writing, signed by both Clubs and lodged with the Secretary, the balance or balances of Compensation, plus VAT at the standard rate, must be paid within 28 days of the date of publication of a Compensation Tribunal determination or, when an award in appropriate terms has been made by the Compensation Tribunal, of the occurrence or the relevant event or events. The Board may require interest to be paid on any balance or balances of Compensation from time to time due for payment and not paid until paid in full, at the rate of 2% above the base lending rate of the Bank of England as same may vary from time to time compounded on the first day of each calendar month.

ED007 I have my serious head on just now, I wanted to ask your opinion on story in Sunday papers regarding Neil Doncaster apparently preparing for any newco football club being formed.
An example he gave was Parma in Italy, but I have read that AC Parma went out of business in 1968, another club AC Parmense then entered division 4 of Italian league, changed their name to AC Parma and even adopted their colours as their own, they then worked their through to the divisions to reach Serie A. If I am correct Doncaster said this precedent allowed a newco to just re enter league but this is surely wrong, going by above.
The worrying thing for any neutral fan is it is obvious SFA/SPL are already discussing ways to help Rangers out of any problems. Also how can Campbell Ogilvie be neutral giving his previous roles at Ibrox?
We all know the press hacks will lobby for Rangers to get off lightly, I even heard Keevins on clyde say Scottish football needs a strong rangers, not just Rangers but a strong one, hypocrites!
I would welcome your opinion Timalloy {Ed007's Note - You are right about Parma Tim. Any 'newco' though would need to apply to join the SPL or the SFL. You only need a majority of 3 votes from the SPL board to gain entry into the SPL. The SPL board consists of representatives from CFC, Dundee Utd, Motherwell, St Johnstone and also Neil Doncaster. The chairman (Ralph Topping) only votes in the event of stalemate (how stalemate can happen I don't know with 5 available votes already). Rangers could be granted entry but face 10-25 point reductions every season for set period of time. Keevins I am not even commenting on mate.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Did we really expect anything other than the spineless SFA to bend over for rankers? i really dont understand why they dont have to start in div 3.keevins is always banging on about how scottish football needs rangers,well let them spread the wealth thru the league system im sure brechin,albion rovers et al would welcome increased gates when they visit.his other arguament is we would sell less season tickets,rubbish,we would fill paradise every week if only to gloat n get stronger for when they arrive back,the question is could they? how many season tickets would they sell? what sort of player would they attract? this could be endgame! if the league bend then the whole credibility of the scottish game is at stake.strange but i dont remember keevins using the same phrases when we were in trouble,the very least they should get is 4 years with a 25 point deduction. green jhedi

Im needing help from my fellow Tims. Ive been on the Southampton rumours page and there are quite a few small minded deluded fans that think they are bigger than us. One guy rates the SPL in the same bracket as League one. Ive tried to put him right(see comments from 19th Jan) but lets hit back at Southampton site to show them how big a club we are. They are only bitter because they want Hooperman and they are no gettin im.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Heres what to do
go on to the southampton site and post this

just here to wish West Ham,Cardiff and Middlesboro the best of luck in next years EPL.

expect there site to explode with replies lol

Or maybe we cud just ignore it since we all know we are the bigger team and just leave it there.

I wrote about a wee cheeky bid for jelavic and just wondering and I want the true supporters to answer this. Who and how many rangers players would you bid for and get in our 1st team! Rusty hail hail {Ed007's Note - Naismith is the only one I would take.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I hate to admit it but I agree with ed there only Naismith but only if had to pick 1.
On the thoughts of a target man how about teaching Victor to play up there great in air not many centre halves would get the better of him
Welshbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith. And I suppose Fat Sally - to increase the guy at the burger van's profits.

Agree3 Disagree0

Agree with ed on Naismith .Edu would be another as i think he could do a job for us in a Hi-Vis jacket at a turnstile

Bhaldrick

Agree4 Disagree0

Bhaldrick Celtic fans will accept any player with talent and who gives 100% for team, I am old enough to remember when Alfie Conn switched from them to us and Celtic fans responded by singing "he used to be a h.. but he's alright now, Alfie, Alfie, Conn" lol Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree1

Would take Naismith, and McGregor as backup for big Foster.MACCA

Agree1 Disagree0

Timalloy-- 100% agree with you mate as we showed with Kenny Miller although it wasnt direct deal from them. i just enjoy having a little dig in the ribs at the self proclaimed world beaters at the Temple of Doom

Bhaldrick

Agree0 Disagree0

McGregor for backup? lol he would walk into the Celtic team. Jela, Bocanegra and Goian would get a game too. {Ed007's Note - A game of what? Ludo? Tiddlywinks? Dungeons and Dragons? Yahtzee? I wouldn't let they three play my PS3 never mind play for CFC.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Is she on twitter, she take some guy to the cleaners. lol cmac {Ed007's Note - No she isn't on Twatter. She works very hard for her money, she has a very important job and has very influential friends in high up places within football and sport in general. And no it's not what you are thinking!!!
Some of the people from the English sites set up a Facebook page for her.

For any Scots wanting devolution from The Union, now is the time to act !
Cos we are currently undergoing the third English Civil War south of the border.
The Battle of Reebok Fields is entering it's third day also, and the outcome is still in the balance.
The Royalists, following Kenny Kenny, are trying to hold back the Roundheads (it's possibly rumoured led by a mysterious Continental, with dodgy facial hair). It's a close run thing. I'm just taking a breather at the minute. Gone for a cup of tea and a jaffa cake, before getting stuck back in.
Long live the king !

basically what we're looking for is another JVOH (only fitter).

On another note, Ledley should never be played at LB. He treats it like an easy day and doesn't support further up the pitch.

Prob cz its nt his natural position n he's playing safe mate. green jhedi

Well Ed i am a great follower of this site but dont post very often. I would just like the people who have sadly had a lack of support for our keeper recently to relinquish there comments because as far as i am concerned and i feel you are too i would pay the money and get forster on board straight away. I think he is going to be pivitol to the championship push. As you have always said he was neils lennons main target and first choice as a keeper and in my eyes a sound bit of business if we get him for 2m.

Hail Hail

The Happy Turnkey {Ed007's Note - I do think Forster has done enough to win over his doubters again this season.}

Hes won me over and I hope he continues to make me eat my words

Paddy

Agree1 Disagree0

To the Happy Turnkey.At the start of the season i was one fan who didnt like Forster, i thought he was hesitant in alot of areas and it made the whole defence nervous. Forward 5 months, i think the guy is fast becoming the best keeper we have seen at Parkhead in a long time. As good a shot stopper as Boruc without the occasional clanger Artur was prone to. I was calling for Gordon but not now. Well done Fraser. Keep it up pal.
