Heard Commons not getting near squad cause he's supposed to have told Lennon he made a big mistake and should have signed for Rangers. Get him out now {Ed007's Note - Garbage, leave the Christmas sherry alone till you gran visits.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Lmao the banter on here is brilliant. Sherry Ed I think you are being very polite with this poster. Buckie more like lmao.
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - LOL, nothing wrong with The Tonic mate.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Commons not needed if we keep Forest mate...squad player at best if he can keep his weight in check.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL, thats a belter of a fib buddy, I think if he did say that to NL that outfit he wore a few weeks back with the neck brace etc would be needed. I don't follow celtic but I could tell you the reason he is not picked appears to be a lack of desire on his part. According to the Derby fans, he has previous for it.

Pete

Agree1 Disagree0

You should ask forest fans first

Bhoys and Ghirls as it is Christmas please tell us about a favourite game or player. here are mine...

Year 1968 I was only a boy when my dad took me to my first European game Celtic v Red Star Belgrade.
Big Jock had promised wee Jinky (who was scared of flying) if Celtic won by more than 3 goals he would not have to fly to return game in Belgrade, result wee Jimmy RAN RIOT, scored 2 goals and set up 3 more as Celtic won 5-1.
Year 1979 Celtic v Rangers, if Celtic won they won the league. Roy Aitken led by example and even though we were down 0-1 and had a man sent off (usual "honest mistakes" by referees) he led us to win 4-2 and song was born "10 men won the league"
Year 1989 Rangers were going for the treble and only Celtic stood between them in Scottish cup final.
Roy took a shy that was Rangers shy, ball got played eventually to Joe Millar after mistake by Rangers defence 1-0 Celtic win cup and stop treble.
1989 this game and player may surprise some fans as we went out of europe but what a game it was.
Celtic v Partisan Belgrade, our Polish signing Jackie Jackanowski scored FOUR GOALS as we won 5-4 but went out on away goals.
OK guys lets have your thoughts? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Tim mate, there is a thread on Arsenal that is right up your street, garbage jokes are required. On their banter at 23 Dec 2011 18:33:28}

Believable0 Unbelievable5

ED007 took a wee look over there, lucky my "truce" is still on or several knock knock jokes would be coming your way ha ha Timalloy
just remember ED007 all the Christmas Cracker jokes I will be reading over the next few days BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID HA HA {Ed007's Note - You just keep then to yourself mate, PLEASE!}

Agree0 Disagree4

Here ed, Tim doesn't work as a Team Leader in a christmas cracker - making factory does he !?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - If he does he should be sacked.}

Agree4 Disagree0

KB you have found my source of income, I am the one who writes all the cracker jokes ha ha LOL Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Aye Tim, ye're a cracker alright :-)

Agree0 Disagree2

My favourite game was my first when I was 10.......the 1976 League Cup Final when we lost 2-1 to Aberdeen at Hampden. The defeat was disappointing but I'll NEVER forget the passion of the Celtic fans and that's why I'll be a fan 'tiil I die! HAIL HAIL!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cup Final in 1985 springs to mind...We had won feck all for a few years and it gaxe us the springboard to win the league at Love Street the following season in my FAVOURITE EVER GAME.5 NIL AND ALL THOSE BROKEN HEARTS LOL

23 Dec 2011 18:22:41
alright ed how are you looking forward to wedensday for the big match

campbell {Ed007's Note - I'm looking forward to it Campbell. CFC are looking the better team just now but we all know form goes out the window when it comes to the derby. I fancy both teams to get three points this weekend then bring it on. Merry Christmas as well mate.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Aye merry Christmas to you ed am gonna put a wee bet on aluko to score the first goal and rangers to win it would be good if he did score see all your faces drop

Campbell {Ed007's Note - I'm sure he will cover your bet anyway ;-)

Agree1 Disagree1

That's a good one where does he stay a will personally go to his door and ask him to put this bet on am no halfing the bet ether if i win

campbell {Ed007's Note - You walked into that one, I couldn't resist. I think he is staying at Murray Park till he can save up enough for a deposit on a house, paying his compensation wiped him out ;-)

Agree2 Disagree0

At least he is a true blue he will prove that on wedensday

campbell {Ed007's Note - Yeah I saw that Rangers were the only team he had ever wanted to play for.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I think I might have a look at the odds for the first red card.
The Real KB

Agree0 Disagree0

And who can blame him

campbell {Ed007's Note - Would he dare go down so 'easily' after the last time? It would be a brave referee to award him a penalty IMO. In saying that Smeagol Gollum doesn't need to see anything to give one!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright real KB your propabley better putting a celtic player on for a red card at the end of the day they never stop moaning about refs

campbell {Ed007's Note - Where as Rangers just take the huff and scream conspiracy at the SFA/SPL/BBC and journos who write things they don't agree with in the rags up here KB. If it's good news they believe it but bad news is always made up nonsense.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey campbell, I wished all your bears a merry christmas and everyone is pressing "disagree" cannot think what I have done to upset the poor sensitive souls LOL Timalloy
PS put a tenner on big Sammy scoring just have a feeling

Agree0 Disagree5

Well he did go down quite easily but he did say because he was going at full speed it was hard for him to slow down and i know there was very little contact but anyway i don't like this new rule that a panel can say over rule what the ref says at the end of the day if this new panel things just gonna change everything the ref says there is no point in having a referee because no matter what he says the panel will just take the power of making decisions

campbell {Ed007's Note - I agree mate, it means that you don't actually know what is happening till the during the week after games.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What's your predictions Tim...i'm not thinking past the Kilmarnock game tomorrow - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Merry christmas timalloy you have a good one

Agree0 Disagree4

Alright Mrs E how are you first time i have spoke to you have a merry Christmas

campbell

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E, we Should beat Killie, we owe them a doing. Rangers game I never bet or make prediction in case I jinx them, but I am optimistic LOL Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree4

Ed here is a question for you the season started in July does that mean it ends in April because usually the season starts in august and ends in may

campbell {Ed007's Note - The last game is on or about the 7th of April before the split. The Scottish Cup Final is May 19th.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm good Campbell..stressed out by buying presents but had a wee bacardi breezer now (classy I know) ! Merry Christmas.. are you confident for 28th ?

A guy in my work is a big Killie fan, has his tea in a killie mug & never misses a game. I'm not going back in on Wed if we don't get 3 points ! - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - A Bacardi Breezer?? FFS Mrs you're a grandmother not 15!! You don't see Mrs Brown on the TV drinking Bacardi Breezers. Tut :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lmao Ed. Mrs E you were slagging me about my age lol. You can join me at my wee pensioners club on boxing day if you like lol. You kept that hush hush that you are 78yrs old. Is it your great great grandchildren that has taught you all the lingo lol
Followfollow81

Agree0 Disagree0

Campbell did you hear the Aluko interview, he basically said he would dive againgiven the chance! He also so claimed that every player is a cheat, if they handball, timewaste etc! He never once said he was sorry or that he embarrassed himself or his club!

BTW Merry Christmas all. Hope the foot is healing well Ed, hope you have a better year Majec and Timalloy hope you get a joke book in your stocking!

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

Well Mrs E obviousley yous have been playing the better football in the last 6 weeks but to be honest am quite confident the gers will get a result but you cant say what is really gonna happen an old firm is the most unpredictable game ever

Agree0 Disagree0

FF81..78yrs old & still younger than you ! Love a wee bacardi breezer with my sherry :)) Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

The offer is their if you want to join me Mrs E. I won't hold it against you that you drink the Bacardi Breezers and you are older than me lol.

Lol {Ed007's Note - FFoldyin, imagine the granny out of Catherine Tate but worse, do you really want a candlelit dinner?????}

Agree0 Disagree0

FF'72'...i'm going on the Pensioners bus to Wales in September for the Scotland game ! I'll have a think about boxing Day, I'll look out my good teeth just incase I go. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Mrs great great granny E doesn't look like her? Lol. If the two of us hooked up together Ed we could be called TateThat (Tate & Orange ) lmao. Take care Ed you and you family have a great one.

Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Yeah Mrs I saw it. I can't see anything happening next month unless Zaluska leaves.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haven't always been a big fan of Forster but he's done no bad of late & he is still on loan..NL's a fan though, can you see him signing permanently ? Would love to see the whole GK situation resolved. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - The deal has been agreed for Forster so it will be up to NL next summer if he wants to sign him or look elsewhere. I am not a fan of loaning GKs, a club like CFC should have a recognised No.1.}

Merry Xmas to all who celebrate it -
May the best team win on the 28th (and the other blame the Ref..lol) My Father used to say that when your team lost in an old firm game, it felt like a trip to the dentist - first the numbness, followed by the pain but a few days later it was all forgotten about. Thats how it should be !

Pete {Ed007's Note - All the best Pete, Merry Christmas.}

I hope these Irish sayings impart a bit of wisdom and raise a smile or two as well LOL Timalloy

If you are Lucky enough to be Irish, then you are indeed Lucky Enough!
As you slide down the bannister of life, may all the splinters never point in the wrong direction!
The Irish ignore anything they cannot drink or punch!
May you get all your wishes but One, so that you always have something to strive for!

Finally an Irish Toast or Wish
May your glass be ever Full
May the roof over your Head
Be always Strong
May you be in Heaven
A half hour Before
The Devil knows you are Dead!

Ed whats the deal with commons? I think a fit and on form commons is a great weapon to have ( although we haven't seen that from him this season )

You seem to have made your mind up about him and I would love to lnow why. Im not saying your wrong, far from it I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion which your site gives us the media in which to voice them, I would just like to understand why your are set against him getting a chance.

JGD {Ed007's Note - Since the end of last season he hasn't exactly applied himself to get in the team and hold down a place. He isn't injured so you have to ask why he isn't in the squad.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Fair enough ed, i thought that he was injured

Agree0 Disagree1

With sammy playing like he is atm, theres no way id put commons in ahead of him, maybe he is trying but sammy i dare say it has been magic!

ED007 what is your thoughts on Izziguirre playing against Rangers? I think it might be too soon to pitch him into such a high tempo game we will need him for games in New Year so I hope they use him sensibly.
I hope if K Wilson and Ledley are fit they play tomorrow to give them game time before Wednesday as those two will give us more options. Hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I doubt that Izaguirre will start in the derby match Tim, but stranger things have happened. It depends if he appears tomorrow I think. Wilson and Ledley should feature at some point tomorrow, if he is fit I expect Wilson to start.}

Our defence has been good of late but we all know it is our achilles heel over the course of a season. So seeing as there is turmoil among the Jambos why dont we look at Zaliuskas? He's proven in the SPL and could do us a turn.

ChrisBhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable8

Yeah he is proven is the SPL..........A proven donkey he is worse than what you have.

BB1

Agree4 Disagree0

He's pi** would cause us more harm than good with him in defence

Agree4 Disagree1

Great on his day but very error prone...don't know if having a CB that can cost you a game is worth it as we have 2 or 3 of those already. We need to look further afield than the SPL for the required CB as in truth none of the ones on show are good enough.

It wasn't that long ago we had 6 wide players fighting for the wide berths. Forrest, maloney, lumberg, mcginn, mcourt, commons. Now all we have is forrest, and mcourt and commons who are always injured. Just my opinion but maybe that's an area we could be doing with strenghtening. I know samaras has been doing well on the left but how long will that last? Markiebhoy.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Was only talking about this very same thing last weekend. Forrest is having a 'purple patch' now but I think we are depending on him too much for a youngster and worry he will 'burn out'.
Commons, I reckon is on his way out of Paradise and McCourt is either injured or is cast as a bench warmer by NL.
We seem to be linked to several strikers although we have a fair quota?
Templeton of Hearts or Snodgrass at Leeds may be an option if we can't recall McGinn (who NL does not seem keen on).
Lets hope we get a couple of Gems in Jan to boost the squad and the support.
