Hi ed keep up the good work mate, hi guys avid reader sometimes poster. Quick question if The Rangers go into admin or even liquidation AGAIN lol as the info out there points to. What do you think will be the punishment? More importantly what do you think SHOULD be the punishment?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The SFA will be quietly shi**ing themselves this does not happen. The standard is a third of last seasons points deducted and a transfer embargo. But this is for a FIRST administration, and as we all know this will be THE rangers FIRST admin. This will confirm they are indeed a new club, something the SFA have dodged for far too long.

Their big problem will be if they try and push this same club nonsense. What would the punishment be then? Half the previous seasons points total? Things are very quiet down at the dust bowl at the minute, but not for long I suspect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Note Rayman, there can be no 2nd administration. This is their 1st. There is some confusion here. The original rangers did not manage to emerge from administration and is in the process of liquidation. The club now playing out if ibrox, formed in 2012 is living beyond its means and is facing administration.

Sorry to be pedantic.

Well maybe ed oo could enlighten us to the maximum punishment for a first offence it could not be any other way! Also as we've seen the transfer embargo was written with so many flaws it should be wrote on bum roll paper so mee thinks maximum fine.
GREEN ARMY. {Ed007's Note - If a club goes into administration during an SPFL season it will be docked 15 points although only 10 points are deducted with immediate effect. The balance of five points will be deducted whenever the league’s board deems it would be 'the most effective'.
If a club goes into administration in the close season, the club starts the new season on minus 15 points, regardless of their tally in the previous campaign.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The club playing in ibrox at present is barely a year old. The old rangers is now dead and is under control of the liquidators who have assumed all it's debts and liabilities.

The new legal entity at present playing from Ibrox may enter into administration sometime soon but once it's liquidated then that's the end of it. True another off the shelf company can be purchases and the circus begins once more.

It would appear that no lessons have been learned from the death of Rangers, partially due to ignorance and partially to to the kid gloves treatment that the now dead rangers received from those in charge of Scottish Football. The whole of the Rangers payroll probably is greater that the whole of the wage bill from the other teams in their division combined. Forgive me I do not remember what division they play in nor do I bother to check such is their irrelevance. I wonder how the Rangers will do under the FIFA fair play rules, oh silly me they can't play in Europe.

Maybe they'll go bust another 2/3/4 times, and subsequently have a reason to display 5 stars on their shirts? pea

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought this would get a reply or 2 lol. Guys my point is not wether its a 1st admin or not as I believe this to be a new club, but the obvious way they went about it. Nearly all clubs go into admin thro debt mounting and serious changes in revenue stream and bad decision making but in my eyes this has actually been planned.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sincerely doubt it was planned, if it was planned then they would be much better off today, as of today they are dying again, basically they have been dying since they started to buy promotion back to the big time. It's all just down to the arrogance and the ignorance of "The people" who control "The People"

Agree0 Disagree0

The Rangers fans getnreally annoyed when anyone calls them a new club which they are for sure. I do not understand why UEFA and FIFA cannot come out woth a clear statement about their status. This would put the argument to bed once and for all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Listened to radio a few weeks ago and journalists there said they had been assured it would be a 2nd administration event because the license had been transferred and was not a new one. The old one having already 1 event registered to it. will be a circus when it happens some celts will want harshest punishment but this will leave us open to the well it must be the same club argument and the tribute acts fans will want as little punishment as possible but will leave them open to the see you are a new club argument

I never ever thought I would say this but Craig Burley has written an excellent column in the Fail today . DH

I think the whole laces thing is badly thought out. let's say eight of the team concerned wear them, would questions be asked of the other three? Would that not encourage persecution, which is exactly what the gay community want to stop?

I think the gay community need to understand that you cannot rid the world of people who dislike same sex relationships. Homophobia, like racism and sectarianism, will always be around. I have gay friends who understand this and have come to terms with it.It is just one of many sad facts of life.

Agree0 Disagree0

All this crap about wearing multi-coloured laces is exactly that, crap!
It's nothing more than a political stunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the clubs have said the reason for not keen on wearing the laces is due to the involvement of (we all know the name of the bookies without it being promoted here) then there is no reason to doubt that.

Unfortunately, prejudice and discrimination affects all walks of lives and if this bookies feel so strongly that there is a major issue in football then they also have a duty to speak out and be more specific as well as asking for the laces to be worn to raise awareness.

I cannot speak for all other Clubs but Celtic make an announcement over their tannoy system at every home game that they are a club open to all and I have no reason to doubt this.

This is a worthwhile cause that has been, yet again, hijacked by folk with too much to say on Social media who are all talk and no action and a bookies that I would bet my last quid (pun intended) are only promoting a self interest.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people allow bitterness to make them look foolish (for want of a better word).

Just catching up this morning on some of the comments since the CL games during the week. It would seem the way Celtic's game has been reported and the fact Celtic fans have not went into hiding is yet again showing bias towards Celtic for daring to say Wednesday's game was not a total disaster and there were positives to take from it. Seems it should be highlighted in neon lights all over the world that Celtic did in fact loss the game as this has been overlooked and the scoreline is all that matters.

This is from the same folk who had a problem with the Celtic 2 - 1 Barcelona scoreline, where the scoreline, yip you've guessed it, should not have been the all that matters.

For the avoidance of doubt after Wednesday's game against Milan, Celtic won 0 points in the group and after the Barcelona game last November Celtic won 3 points in the group. Did anyone think anything else had happened?

No Pyro No Party

This is something I have been directly affected by and as its against stadium laws to take fireworks into any football ground and for a number of other good reasons, i'm dead set against it.

I don't know if anyone seen the Napoli v Dortmund game on Wednesday, let's just say this was like nothing seen in Scotland outside of 5th November. This is what teenagers who are probably responsible for taking pyro's in football grounds are watching and think it looks 'Awesome'. They will wonder what the drama is all about with their wee bit of green smoke. As an adult, I think we know what the drama is.

I seen a bit on twitter etc by some who cannot believe this 'no pyro no party' stance and its damage to the Club. All fine and dandy but why do some of these outraged twits have hate on their own timeline about Celtic's one time rival Club and maybe they can explain the difference to an impressionable teenager. Yeah, a smoke bomb can cause physical pain and damage but so can words written by an adult and read by someone fired up by these words and willing to act.

I would never tell anyone not to have an opinion but surely if you are taking the moral high ground, actually having superior morals would be a good starting place?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the reporting, I think we had a fairly decent press. Most of the dissenting voices has come from the usual suspects. The facts are we lost, as you say, but there were positives. Our ball retention was much better than in any previous CL game, and our shape was the best I have seen it in an away CL game. I was quite encouraged midweek and for a long time thought we might just nick it.

The pyro thing is becoming tiresome now. Firstly I like it.I think it adds to the spectacle of the game. When you watch some games with it's extensive use it can be spectacular. One of the most distasteful parts of this is UEFA show endless clips of pyro in adverts but claim they want to ban it! Hows that for double standards?

The facts are it is banned here.Debate ended. If the club are going to suffer why even take a chance? I don't know the circumstances of how you were affected Mrs E, but as a Celtic supporter you deserve to be heard. If fans complain they must be listened to, we are all on the same team here guys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Mrs E but I'm not getting what you mean. How is the no pyro no party got anything to do with peoples morals and talking about the deady bears. There is no connection there for me

GJ, if i'm honest I don't mind the pyro's either but they are banned and you can get a FBO and arrested.

By pyro's I mean smoke bombs, the bangers are a different cuppa tea.

I don't have asthma or any medical complaints though and being in the middle if the smoke just meant I could not see properly for a minute or so.

It was the other day something was retweeted onto my twitter timeline, someone's outrage over a smoke bomb at Tynecastle. However this person's own tweets was full of hate about another Club and I mean hate, hate. I'm kinda thinking to myself hmmmm double standards here.

@2 I mean, surely writing hate for an impressionable teenager to read and possibly act upon can be nearly as bad as letting off a smoke bomb. Folk that constantly write hate are not exactly a role model fan for the Club either and there's nothing more embarrassing than opening up a newspaper with your morning tea to see a fan being arrested (in full Club colours) for posting online abuse.

The young guys who are probably into the pyro thing are not listening to an older fan on twitter or facebook, if you feel so strongly about them you really have to do more than tweet or facebook.

GJ, my Son and his pals just thought the Napoli v Dortmund fans during the week were fantastic and that's what they are looking at and listening to. Have you seen a Galatasaray v Fenerbahce game! ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe a way forward for this is for the club to take control of pyros? Professionals set off pyros in a safe manner during the game! If it is beginning to become a big issue with the supporters why not introduce it?
The only problem I would have with pyros being let off in the crowd are the people that are setting them off! persons who have no thought or appreciation of other peoples safety let alone their own!
This could be another way for Celtic to lead the others once again and try this! They do pyro shows in the footy over here when a team scores, so why not bring it in at Celtic park?

Watched rayo v barca. Good news is neymar is struggling to fit in, bad news is messi is on fire (should be thrown in jail, like all tax dodhgers). Also the new management seem to be working on their wastefulness in the box, Pedro Rodriguez poaching a hat trick (and was substituted by iniesta!). However, they are vulnerable in defence. Looking forward to playing them. Interesting rendition of YNWA by the rayo fans.
Bring it on!

Does anyone know how to purchase tickets for the Barca away game? Credit and debit card was not accepted.

Thanks

Not sure where you are trying to buy them from mate, as far as I can see they are not for sale yet from Barca or celtic. don't expect they will be available for another month or so. eddiek88
