Oh I hope we do this lot of cheeky young upstarts tomorrow with all their defiance and no surrender and we are rather peepull? We just do as we have been doing and they don't stand a chance we are better in every area we are a disciplined well organised outfit this season they are just championship level players treading water in the top league for the first time so come on brendan and the bhoys let's give them another doing 🍀🍀🍀.

Hail Hail Ed 007, just a quick question, is the ballad lyrics "The Boys of the old Brigade ", still banned In the SPL?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It never was that I know of mate.}

22 Oct 2016 21:13:48
Is there list of the actual songs that are banned?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The only 2 I know that are banned are the 'Glasgow Celtic IRA' chant and the mythical Ibrox Disaster Song that nobody I know knows the words to or has ever heard being sung anywhere.
Laughingly the only TRIFC songs banned are The Billy Boys and The Famine Song - how's that working out?}

23 Oct 2016 09:55:06
Don't believe the Daily Record as there is no banned list, even the police don't know what is and isn't allowed, which is why you often see court cases crumble without a conviction.

That being said if you sing a song relating to the provisional IRA you are more likely to get into trouble and songs about the IRA are likely to be permitted.

have heard a song sang a few times about the ibrox disaster ed, mostly by wee neds but i wouldn't condone that shite. It's not something widespread or even sung by the fans that attend matches. The times have heard it have put the wee dicks in there place.

22 Oct 2016 19:47:53
I hope any tim going tomorrow stays safe, the girls and I will not be attending (offered tickets but declined)
I am still upset that only Celtic put out the "respect everyone" statement, it makes Celtic look we are worried about our fans causing trouble when we all know if the new club lose again tomorrow their fans will probably damage their future home and toilets.

Just watching Munich against muchengladbach, the analyst was saying they spent 26 million on two players alone this season. Kramer and vestergard . Again shows us where we really are in European terms . They were also saying they had put so much into Wednesday game they have nothing left for tonight's game. I hope we have enough left for the Huns tomorrow.

I have enough left for the Huns and I have trouble catching my breath thinking about running.

Am I missing something. It seems most "pundits" are going for a Rangers win tomorrow. Now I know I'm a bit biased but what's changed sine the last 5-1 humping? Have they suddenly hit a hot streak of form or have we slumped to many a defeat. Confused I am.

It's the Craig Thomson factor lol.

22 Oct 2016 19:12:19
Steven McLean 4th official. they must REALLY need something from this game. ie takings from the final to stay alive.

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Oct 2016 19:27:52
Guys these "reporters" are only pandering to their "loyal" readership who even cares what they think, they are as deluded as the guy on their site today who advocates them splashing out £3m on Defoe they really do live in a parellel universe.
As to the "Thomson factor" I will put up odds tomorrow of an ordering off, penalty etc.

Agree1 Disagree2

22 Oct 2016 19:34:10
I don't think anything has changed since the 5-1 drubbing we gave them. The pundits have probably convinced themselves that Joey Barton was the problem all along and that their win at Inverness coupled with our defeat to Borussia means that they are now the leading team in Scotland.
With logic like that, is it any wonder that the Scottish national team is in the state it's in.

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Oct 2016 21:44:03
We should always pick the formation and personnel that Brendan Rodgers thinks is best suited to win the match, rather than accommodate any footballer.

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Oct 2016 23:01:29
Let the pundits say what they want buddy! This will be the same pundits who actually thought there was a hope in hell they would win the league this year! your spot in mate, there's hee haw changed from last months spankin! I expect a comprehensive victory tomorrow! Maybe not 5 but we'll put this tribute act in there place once again!

LG not getting regular football, anyone else think it will unsettle him? BR saying that he hasn't the dynamics in midfield to play 2 up front. It says more about Bitton than LG. The option should be there to play 2 up front if required.
I'd assume Gk would be high on list and a busy box to box er.
Maybe discover the new Roy Keane somewhere?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

22 Oct 2016 17:04:13
Why is there suddenly a clamour for us to play 2 up front tomorrow when we skelped them 5-1 with a lone striker only 4 weeks ago? We've been destroying teams domestically with the exact same system so far. I'm not saying you're doing the clamouring TTTS btw, just in general.

22 Oct 2016 17:58:21
I'm not suggesting such either Kev. Was just wondering what's going through LGs mind atm. And to accommodate 2 up front, the" dynamics " where would they come from.
Im pretty pleased where things are atm.

Ed thanks for keeping site going. I completely agree with your analysis of wed night. No reason after few more in downs we won't be playin like monchen.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate.}

I'm sick of this Hampden surface, it's an utter disgrace. Already you can see big chunks of turf coming up with just normal running on it. God knows the state it will be in for tomorrow.

Waghorn complaining about being heckled in the park . I'm sure Niall Mc Ginn, Paddy Mc Court and Neil Lennon would have swapped their experiences for a bit of a hackle.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

22 Oct 2016 16:57:04
I think Waghorn is living in big player dreamland, he is at best a mediocre player and I doubt he would be recognised by most fans, and even if he was I don't think he would merit a second glance.

Had the privilege of meeting Paul and Tommy at CP and photos with both and my sons and Daughter 20 odd years ago. Sent more week ends around Glasgow than at home back then. Just happened to pull out a photo of Paul last night whilst hoking through memories. find myself doing this more and more every other week end I'm home. Anyway, what a legend, what a gentleman.

Would really love it if BR played griffiths and dembele tomorrow. It would really throw a spanner in the works as far as how warburton deals with both of them. If they pass the ball about they're back line the way they did in spells up in Inverness recently we're guaranteed to get more than enough chances to score a few goals if we press them high and don't give time on the ball. Roll on tomorrow.

I'd like to see it as well Garry. The problem is they typically play with a forward three sort of shape so we're probably going to have an extra man in midfield/ defence as a precaution. Hopefully we will see the both of them at some point. He had a poor game against but BM and could be jaded but if he's 100% fit, for me, Dembele has to start after his last game against them.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Oct 2016 11:10:51
Jim Tim I think this game is one for Griffiths. Dembele has played a lot of football and Griff is champing at the bit to get on. He scored 40 goals last year in an average side with the way we now lay he can do it again. Also I watched the Daily Record team commenting on the game tomorrow with 2 out of 3 predicting a Rangers win? These are sports journalists or supposed to be. Rangers win? What am I missing. Are these guys so biased they are willing to make themselves look stupid just to defend the Rangers brand? God help us!

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Oct 2016 12:59:43
LG will certainly be hungry for it that much is certain Johnny. I wouldn't put it past Dembele to score 40 either mind. There wasn't anybody to step in for LG last season, that certainly would have helped his own tally, but in terms of the team it's good that we have two players who we know can bang them in domestically. As for those 'journalists', that's about as much sense as I would expect out of some of them.

No integrity

Bring them on tomorrow bhoys.

Jim Tim think you are spot on Dembele is good for 40 goals and to be honest I do rate him above Griff but we sometimes need to give players a wee break even if it's just one game but no complaints if BR starts him. Difficult to judge on Wed but he looked a wee bit short but then again he got very little help. Anyway looking forward to tomorrow. 3-1 to Celtic. There is sure to be a red card for Rangers and a penalty in their favour.
