Lennon has asked celtic fans to stop singing songs about a military organization. a celtic fan was arrested for singing one of these songs and was taken to court. he was found not guilty as the song did not contain any sectarian words. so unless you know better than the law, then we are beyond reproach.

they must be muckspreading early up here this year as i can clearly smell BULLSH*T

ED, i am not the Derry pele, but honestly i was really cheesed off at Stokesy, and then Izzy, for not passing to the Bold Patrick near the end yesterday. He was going mental at Izzy, So was i , Paddy has got more skill than most players i have ever seen, i really wish he got more of a chance. As for the singing, i have said on here loads of times, it is time to stop it at the football, it's just a bit much listening to Rangers fans having a go at our manager, when they have just won 3iar, Jeezo, give
yerselves some peace, relax, have a wee drink of
champagne, and forget about Lenny for a while! !
paddybhoy {Ed007's Note - I think we all know that there is a problem on both sides, but it isn't all NLs fault}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

McCourt is greedy and he would of done the same hopefully he'll be out the door in the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

ED, none of the singing is NL, s fault! !
paddybhoy {Ed007's Note - I know that Paddy, I was meaning the line of thought that everything that has happened this season was Lennons fault}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you are spot on Neil Lennon does not deserve any of this Bullsh*t and finaly paddybhoy you have answered my question at last Rangers are not the only team with idiots yes the sectarian sh*it has to stop but the slaggin and the banter must stay life would be boring without you lot and i know most celtic fans feel the same about us

God Bless the OLD FIRM and i mean god not Artur Boruc

im here to confirm the Tempalton rumor, i know his younger cousin and he has told me that David is a tim and has heard celtic are keeping and eye on him. for the fan that said we already have kris commons what about if he injured mate. of course commons will be the prefered option but Tempalton would be a great asset and would learn from Commons like Forrest has

HAIL HAIL {Ed007's Note - Do you think he would be happy to sign as Commons understudy? Also Hearts will want top dollar for him and Celtic can't spend millions on squad players, we are trying to offload squad players not buy more especially at the suggested fee for Templeton, who has only made 50+ appearances for Hearts}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I've also heard he is a Celtic fan. Not sure we'll be in for him though. Would be a good signing as the kid has a future but we have plenty of wingers so I can't see us spending big money on the flanks this season and we'd probably get ripped off for Templeton as Hearts hate selling players to the Old Firm.

However if we were to lose say Brown, Ljungberg, Maloney, McGinn, McCourt, and Juarez (all of whom I reckon could leave for the right money for various reasons) who're all capable on the flanks then it might happen but otherwise I doubt it. I'd rather see us bring in a more established winger on a Bosman than blow several million on a prospect and probable non-starter anyway as there'll undoubtedly be one or two available and I'd rather not see us spend big on players that aren't guaranteed starters.

Agree0 Disagree0

U can't even spell his name right pal

So all in all i am really looking forward to next season, I really think Walter Smiths experience was the difference this year, mcoist won't have that.
But i won't say mccoist will flop, he could be a great manager, we will just have to wait and see, but we now know what we are getting with Lenny.

alot of people seem to forget mccoist has been walter smiths 2nd for the past 5 years ? he also spent 2 years with tommy burns At scotland i belive he will make rangers a more attacking force just look at there last 9 games ?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Rangers with a wee bit of strenth in depth will stroll spl over celtic next year. only player i would have from celtic is izagurre (spelling!). this is a terrrible rangers team and we won it again, no just that, we won the double n had a decent run in europe. rangers have the best goalie (mcgregor) in the league, best defender in the league(bougey), best midfielder in the league (davis), best forward in the league (jelavic). 4 or 5 decent players added with our youngsters n league will be won by 12 points or more next year. lennon to get no cash unless he sells, n then sacked by xmas other teams in spl already figured out how to beat celtic. open expansive football got a far better manager/person (mr t burns) sacked when other teams realised get close n don't let them get time to pass (eg inverness, not cutting the grass)
the tiger - beyond reproach - I JUST CANT LAUGH ENOUGH! ! {Ed007's Note - Had to edit that a bit Tiger}

neil lennon definitely taking interest in what he's seen of Jorge Claros and rekindled interest in Georgie Welcome. Izaguirre has pointed them both out and Celtic already had one eye on Welcome last year.

welcome was at rangers last year ? didn't impress

Welcome didn't cut it at ibrox.could maybe do a job for celtic tho

Well done to the bhoys yesterday, a great end to the season. I was gutted like all tims about not winning the league, but the changes have been positive.
1. Lenny has brought in some good players ( izzy, kayal, commons, hooper) Wilson and Forrest have also done well.
2. He got us to 2 cup finals, and lost the league by a point, to Walter Smiths experience.
3. He knows how to win old firm games, and now has his first trophy (always the hardest)
4.The fans are united again, and the team are playing football in a style we love.
So all in all i am really looking forward to next season, I really think Walter Smiths experience was the difference this year, mcoist won't have that.
But i won't say mccoist will flop, he could be a great manager, we will just have to wait and see, but we now know what we are getting with Lenny.

Lennon has also signed lunberg, mastorovic, juarez and murphy. he acheived nothing in europe, failed to win the league over a rangers team that couldnt fill the bench most of the season.
i have told you before, lennon is getting no cash until european places are decided. lennon will be sacked by xmas.
the tiger - i just can't laugh enough

Agree0 Disagree0

For Lennon getting sacked by xmas, that sounds familiar!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets face it .you have to back the clown at parkhead. your claiming you had a good season. im a bear and been travelling to glasgow for games the past 35 year. and to hear celtic supporters claim this a good season is even to me pathetic. get real bhouys.stop making excuses for the thug. if a marty o neil had have been there last year.we would have been dead and buried by xmas.

Right ED im back was out on the P*ss having to celebrate with my Septic supporter m8s (as i said before don't want to seem a bigot) thank god they don't win much, anyway that's the pleasentries over and done with now back to the real stuff WATP, LENNON IS SH*T STILL WAITING TO BE ENLIGHTEND REGARDING HOW LENNON CAN SAY ONE DAY THAT FANS ARE BEYOND REPROACH THEN THE VERY NEXT DAY CONDEM THE VERY SAME FANS FOR SINGING INAPROPRIATE SONS ( i will prob see Rangers win the C L before i get an answear to the above question and we know that won't happen)

Tonydom

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Listen toby, you are a Rangers fan, so don't worry yourself about the behaviour of Celtic fans, you probably think reproach is something you put in the end of a 15 skinner.!
As for the Big wan, you are right about that son, just keep on dreaming.
paddybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Here paddbhoy

as far as you are concerned im just another ignorantpersonso i bow to your obvious superior intelect and intelligence and ask humbly pray tell me how you can be beyond reproach on the sunday yet on the Monday your manager is on tv condeming a section of your support for singing inapropriate songs maybe Neil Lennon is just apersonin disguise and part of the conspiracy to discredit Celtic and none of your fans ever sing inapropriate songs. YOU HALF WIT YOU CANT EVEN ANSWER THE QUESTION CAN YOU

TONYDOM

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know what is funnier, you calling somebody a halfwit, or Rangers fans taking the moral high ground on offensive songs. I have said on here many times, we should cut out certain chants and songs at the football .I am not really sure who you are having a pop at, is it at Lenny for speaking out? Why don't you just enjoy your title win, and give your obsession, with everything our manager say's or does, a wee break. Go and have a lie doon son, and don't dream about Lenny!
paddybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one am not taking the moral high ground the vast majority of rangers fans will admit we have a problem with inapropriate singing our club and managers have openly admited we have a problem but none of them has said we are beyond reproach. i am in now way having a pop at Neil Lennon infact he has risen above all this crap that has been directed at him and is the only high profile person at Celtic park to come out and admit there is a problem, as far as john reid is concerned the whole celtic fan base are little angels who only sing hyms at parkhead. no lennon done right and he should be proud of himself for speaking out all im saying is his timing was a bit out as Sunday he was saying you where beyond reproach , Monday he is condeming inapropriate song which by definition tell us that you are not beyond reproach don't you agree

Tonydom

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets put this one to bed paddybhoy in your own opinion do you think celtic fans are beyond reproach? if your answer is yes then what is Neil Lennon on about if the answer is No then that's fine by me. it only means you are no differn't from the rest of us SO WHATS IT TO BE m8 ARE YOU BEYOND REPROACH YES/NO

Agree0 Disagree0

And all i am saying is that no matter what Neil Lennon ever say's or does, your fans still get on his back! Listen to yourself (his timing was out) as i said before, try and enjoy your league win, and forget your obsession with our manager.
paddybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Still no definitive answer just a simple yes or no would suffice

Agree0 Disagree0

Look paddbhoy i am the first to admit that a section of morrons attend rangers games wearing rangers tops and spew sectarian rubish from their mouths and embarass my great club are you man enough to admit the same if so then you are not beyond reproach if not then what is Neil Lennon on about then

Tonydom

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a simple yes or no will do on this one,
Do all Rangers fans have a very unhealthy obsesion with Neil Lennon?
So much so, that even when they win 3iar, he is still the main topic of their conversation. As i said, a simple yes or no will suffice.
paddybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no obsesion with Neil Lennon i have an obsesion with trying to get Celtic fans to admit they have a very real problem with sectarian singing TOO in fact as i said before you should be very proud of Neil Lennon for admiting this problem. anyway it looks like you should go into politics as you are very good at side stepping questions this will be my last posting on this subject as i can't get a straight answer

Tonydom {Ed007's Note - Thank God, I was getting scunnered with the verbal tennis}

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddybhoy the question has a yes or no anwser you deflect like a politican could you be john reid in disguise tonydoms right in the space of 24 hours the man make his speech then next day call for section of fans to stop the nonsense as im not a celtic fan so sorry tonydom can't answer for them kind regards big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - AWWW come oan Rab, don't you start on about it!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on ed007 you know paddybhoys john reid or a member of snp or something like that i have conspiracy theorys of my own big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - I've always been under the impression he was The Derry Pele}

Agree0 Disagree0

No he not he wishes he could earn a living playing footy that me as well and everyone on here that the problem with conspiracy theorys big rab by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon has asked celtic fans to stop singing songs about a military organization. a celtic fan was arrested for singing one of these songs and was taken to court. he was found not guilty as the song did not contain any sectarian words. so unless you know better than the law, then we are beyond reproach.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not to keep this rather tedious thread going much longer, I can clarify that there was nothing contradictory in Neil Lennon's two statements. The first was addressed to the crowd at Celtic Park where, in an emotional speech he was, amongst other things, thanking the support. The backing he has had from the fans will no doubt have been a comfort in difficult time. You don't hear any dodgy singing at Celtic Park so raising the issue there isn't appropriate and would have been an odd way to show gratitude. We have however seen a rise in recent week of travelling supporters chanting Pro IRA anthems, this coinciding with increased tensions in the game. This is what Neil was addressing on the Monday, and rightly so. It should be noted that at NO time did he use the word sectarian. This was added by some of the red tops. Sectarianism is not an issue for Celtic, and to suggest so is a lie. Nevertheless I accept that there isn't any place for pro IRA chants which are morally unacceptable and offensive to many. As for the whole 'yes' 'no' debate (are you pretending to be Jeremy Paxman?) it is a fairly worthless debate. No club with thousands of followers can claim every one is beyond reproach so its obvious that you've got to say no. But what we can say is that we have a good record of positive support, no sectarian history, and have been the only club in world football to receive both UEFA and FIFA awards for fan behaviour. Nobody has a blemish free record, but we are not a problem club As for most Rangers fans recognising the issue, really? All I hear is that its not 'FARE', and all I've heard from Rangers FC is you've to stop it cos now you're in bother, never mind because it's plain wrong and would insult a number of your own players. A previous poster was correct, there is an unhealthy obsession with Neil Lennon and for everyones sake, it needs to stop.

great win yesterday lads GBNL hope there's alot more silverware to come. who's the other player apart from kelvin wilson that's signed a pre contract and is he any good? {Ed007's Note - Adam Matthews is only 19, he plays as a RB and is regarded as a great prospect. Look up youtube and see if there is footage of his 50 yard free kick aginst Watford(???). He was voted Football League Apprentice of the Year which led to someone remarking he was "A shining example to every young player on how to perform on the pitch, and also how to behave off the pitch." With Hinkel's contract up he should get some game time and he is also friends with Joe Ledley.
