Ed, we can all see how difficult it has become for the media to get any info on transfer targets since BR came in but I was wondering, as someone who obviously has a source/ sources in the know, if you've noticed info harder to come by yourself?

I know this is negative but am going on what CD has said about trying to get the right players in I think that he could be setting us for a soft landing and not being able to get anyone in hope am wrong but it's not looking good.

What now for Stewart Regan after Michael O'Neill's Sevco style snubbing of the Scotland manager's job?
Maybe he could appoint the U20 coach and declare that he was the man they wanted all along!

Should go straight out and get Tommy wright.

I would give Stevie Clark a chance he has done well with a poor killie team and would have been one of my top picks for Celtic before Brendan came.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jan 2018 22:40:20
I really like Stevie Clark also he would be my choice.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 08:29:06
Would be a pity for our league lose any of the two of them in my eye but both good candidates.
You don't need to be a big name coach who reinvents the game to manage Scotland.
What we need is someone who can really organise a team.
That why Brown done not to bad that was his strength.

Quick question. Andy Walker, Charlie Nicholas, and Craig Burley are drowning. What would you have in your sandwich you are eating whilst watching? šŸ˜‰ (only kidding. You're eating a subway)

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - You lay off Charlie Nicholas, he was my first real Celtic hero and was a great player for us.}

22 Jan 2018 18:25:30
Aye Ed, he was a great player for us. I, like most on here, fell he goes out of his way to criticise Celtic at every opportunity. If it was justified then fair enough but most of it is not. So, CN the player, I am good with. CN the pundit is a disappointment.

Agree5 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer and the champagne's pickled his brain a bit but he's still a good Tim, anyone that's met a drunk Charlie Nicholas would tell you that. He's definitely a bit of a plonker when it comes to the punditry though.}

22 Jan 2018 18:50:57
Tbh I felt a twang of guilt including Charlie in the post as I loved him too. The other two are @rseh0!es tho.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You'll get no arguments from me there, I didn't even like Burley's off field personality when he played for us and Walker's never had a personality, he's always been a boring wee tosser.}

22 Jan 2018 18:51:57
Charlie Nicholas is a Bawbag of the highest order! Cannot stand the guy and the other half wits AG mentioned! All 3 have ruined whatever They achieved while playing for us! And AG Iā€™d be to busy opening the bottle of champagne to eat!

Agree4 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 19:09:33
Champagne Charlie is a 30 pieces of silver person who should never be allowed back in Celtic park.
Everytime the press need someone to talk down our club they have Charlie on speed dial. He was a good player but had no loyalty to the club and couldn't wait to get down south.

Agree3 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 20:40:49
I can't listen to him talk about football as he has zero insight and talks utter pi$h. It is a sad day when Ally McCoist has more insight into football than yourself.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jan 2018 19:57:55
At least Charlie was cool back in the day - flamboyant goal scoring machine
Burley - solid midfielder who played a key role in stopping ten in a row

Both therefore get ā€˜playerā€™ pass marks from me

Walker; in my opinion - shite player, no personality and gash commentary
As my gran would say a wee nyaff.

Right. A bit p! seed off today troops. I had a celtic tshirt on under my overalls today at work and got told by my hun gaffer to zip the overalls up as he could see the word "Lisbon" on my top and that it was agains the company rules to have that on display. This guy had a tshirt on under his overalls! I was livid. Refused his request. Told him if he wanted it covered up he should cover his up. Guys a knob. šŸ€.

{Ed007's Note - You just need to work your way up till you can say what can and can't be worn.}

Meant to say it was a tshirt the boss had on!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2018 18:48:27
OK. I'm getting it now. A certain phrase has been omitted from my previous two posts here. Thus rendering them pretty meaningless. The tshirt my boss had on, had a slogan on it which the "peepul" at the Govan club like to chant about themselves. That OK ed?

Ok guys a wee debate.
After Brendan's comments about Dembele, I was talking to my Celtic Pools mate, we were both of the opinion that we should tell Dembele he will be our main striker in the Europa League, however many games that entails. Also Brendan should say to him that if he wants a really big club coming in for him, the way to do it is score goals and play well in these european games, then come the summer when he gets his big club move, he goes with the thanks and blessing of the Celtic fans and Peter Lawwell who will earn a big fat bonus after we sell Moussa for Ā£30m plus 15% sell on fee.

Believable1 Unbelievable10

22 Jan 2018 12:32:00
He should know already that he'll be the main striker - but only if he deserves to be. You can't keep playing the way he has and expect to keep the jersey with Griffiths and Edouard waiting in the wings.

Agree1 Disagree4

22 Jan 2018 12:47:12
We find ourselves in a difficult position having 3 strikers and playing a system that only requires 1. Dembele hasn't looked good this season whether that is down to injuries and his head being in a mess i do not know. Do we play him at the expense of Griffiths and Edouard in the hope he finds form. We can say goodbye to anything over Ā£20m if he does not find form that is for sure. How can we assess Edouard properly unless we play him. I like him and i think he can be a long term success at the club but i have my doubts about the club shelling out Ā£7m based on the odd game here and there. We also have Griffiths to keep happy, a player i rate very highly and as i said yesterday i would be happy going into next season with Griffiths, Edouard, and Aitchison as back up. I'm probably one of the very few that would accept Ā£20m-Ā£25m with a sell on clause immediately for Dembele. That is a huge amount of money. I love Dembele i would also love to see him back on form but sadly i do not see that happening and my opinion is totally based on his injuries and the mess his head is currently in. If he does stay and works hard he can get back to where he was. If he leaves he will leave with my best wishes. The Hat-Trick against the Zombies and his performance against Man City will never be forgotten. To cut a long story short my head is in just as much a mess thinking about what is best for us and him at this current time.

Agree3 Disagree3

22 Jan 2018 12:57:50
Stating the obvious in that post are u not? Brendan shouldnā€™t need to tell him a bloody thing! He knows what his job is and heā€™s well payed to do it! See this not mentally ready Shoite to play against Brechin, really boils my blood! Heā€™s payed by our club to do a job, and that job is to score goals! If he doesnā€™t feel heā€™s ready to do that then move him on for as much as we can get and get someone in who wants to play for us! Thereā€™s not a chance in hell weā€™ll get 30 million pound for him either! He hasnā€™t kicked his arse this season! And I know heā€™s been injured but apart from a couple of games here and there heā€™s been bang average! So Brendan shouldnā€™t need to go having Cosy chats and telling him what he wants to here! Do your job and get out on that park and give 100 % until that day comes u move to another club! Just getting sick of hearing this now honestly! I do rate the boy but weā€™ve lost bigger and better in the past and not done to bad!

22 Jan 2018 13:31:13
Just becoming a pain in the arse now WB! Lol. i love watching moussa bang in the goals for us just as much as everybody else but the fact is heā€™s been miles off top form! Weā€™ve been just as good for him as he has for us to! Gave him the platform to show what he can do in the CL! Just feel itā€™s looking like the big man wants to move on, and if thatā€™s the case we get as big a fee as we can, wish him all the best and move on! But talk of 30 million plus 15% sell on is pure fantasy IMO! If we could get 20 Iā€™d bite there hand off.

Agree3 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 14:36:18
in total agreement LH. I can't get my head around all these figures as I'm still in awe of how much we got for Dalglish or how much we paid for Moravcik or Larson. you could get a full squad for 20-30 million. The only thing that helps me understand that we could get 20-30 million for Dembele is the fact that Morelos of the dead is valued at 10 million.

Agree0 Disagree3

22 Jan 2018 15:46:33
Who's valuing morelos at 10 million? šŸ˜‚ does anyone think they'd knock back 4? Who has morelos scored against to push his value up? Even ciftci scored against us before he got his move.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - There's been an agent (Jonne Lindblom) sounding out English Championship sides about Morelos and the fee's Ā£2.5 million.}

22 Jan 2018 16:31:17
2.5 million? No way they will get that. Moult is a better player than him and scored in bigger games.

Agree1 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 16:39:01
If he's valued Ā£10m then under the Barry McKay formula they'll accept Ā£833,333.

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Jan 2018 16:47:11
Reckon they would accept Ā£1.2m with a 1% sell on fee šŸ˜‚ Zombies.

Agree3 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 16:47:49
Dembele is only a young bhoy! How would half of you cope if every second article written about Celtic was about you and 10 different clubs interested in you and an agent on top of that whispering in your ear saying this club and that club want you! itā€™s not black and white, when your in your early 20ā€™s your heads up your arse with out having all that on your shoulders.

Agree1 Disagree3

22 Jan 2018 17:07:22
What id have given to have had that kind of pressure taking home Ā£20,000+ a week at that age. More like him to use the interest as a boost to his confidence. Sorry but i find it ridiculous that his head isn't right to take the field against Brechin. infact i find it embarrassing.

Agree4 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 17:15:16
@LH86 my point was we have a potentially great player in Moussa in our squad, who came to us for the next stage of his career, I have no problem with that. But he is no good to us, sitting on the bench or moping in the stand, he is only 20 and probably has had his head turned by promises of big salaries and sign on fees, I know I would be if I was promised treble my salary. No, if Moussa needs a cuddle then Rodgers should do just that, as that what good man management is all about.
If we can get him back playing and scoring goals, then in the summer his value will increase again.
Talking of values, or fake ones in sevco's case, I had this argument with my 2 ex bear pals, their club look at Celtic and copy everything we do, they see us buying cheaply and selling for a big profit and they want the same. Only difference is, Celtic have signed talented up and coming young players who will command a bigger transfer fee. Sevco, just put a daft figure on a player and HOPE a club comes near their valuation. Their players have NO added on value, except in their daft club's imagination.

Agree2 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 17:15:24
Tierney was asked about Man Utd interest and his response was that he was flattered but would be happy to spend the rest of his career at Celtic. He used it as a postitive. Dembele should do the same.

Agree4 Disagree2

22 Jan 2018 18:57:39
Dembele's scared of an injury stalling any move. I was hoping he had a Stormer of a second half of the season and maybe making it into the French squad for the World Cup but I don't think it will happen if he's not 100% giving his all. Good luck to the lad whatever happens. I would take 20 million and a sell on clause this window.

just scrolling and two names jumped off the page, Naka and Lubo. A few weeks ago, on clyde, they were rambling about the best players to have played Scotland, and these two were not mentioned?

In my opinion, lubo was the most gifted and visionary footballer i have seen at Celtic. I seen Jinky, Dalgleish, nicholas etc, but for me he was the best, not Celt, but talent.

Naka? Sensational dead ball skills, i mean world class, and the touch and composure of a god. His third at Tannadice was sublime, a flick of the boot in a tight space. Genius.

The King will always be special, not just for goals but commitment, but i thought these two were top drawer.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

22 Jan 2018 11:34:50
I believe if we got lubo in his prime and for a longer period then we would be saying he was the best foreigner to play for Celtic ame not larsson.

Agree0 Disagree3

22 Jan 2018 13:42:52
There was just something about watching Lubo that I loved. He seemed to play football constantly in a relaxed way, like he was strolling every game without any effort. That's by no means a criticism, it was just his style. He was a very naturally gifted player, one of those players you looked at and thought how easy playing was to them.
Not surprised the 'pundits' from Snyde never mentioned him but he will always remain special in our memories. The one memory that sticks in my mind was his arse trap against Hearts. I was in the Jock Stein that day and watching that made me think just how confident he was.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jan 2018 16:34:56
I was about 10 yards from him when he scored a corner against st Johnstone. He walk out fae the corner flag to see where the keeper was staring then whipped it in to the net. They asked him in the interview after the game if he meant it and lubo just looked at the guy as if he was stupid.

My Cousin in Boston is on cloud nine
His New England Patriots have reached another Superbowl, GO PATS
His NBA team Boston Celtics are on a good run of form also and should win their Conference.
But sadly his NHL team Bostom Bruins are letting the city down BOO BRUINS.

Why would anyone on here care about NBA, NHL or NFL?
They are the worst sports I have ever watched, full of high fives, pats on the back for making a pass, over commercialised (yes even more than football) and of absolutely no relevance whatsoever to Glasgow Celtic fans. HH.

Tim since u last mentioned Boston celtics, when your cousin told u to lump on, I've kept an eye on their results, they seem to win a few in a row then lose a few. A think they've lost 3 or 4 on the trot. Hardly a good run of form, but maybe everyone else is worse.
