As much as I like Ntcham, I think he's proved to be very much a home player and to me he always looks shy with a battle away from home and he really needs to improve this in his game. For this reason and with Rogic missing the Sevco game, my midfield 3 would be McGregor, Brown and Christie for the next 2 games. What's everyone's thoughts? I honestly believe if we win our next two games, 8 in a row is in the bag.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to everyone and a massive well done to our Ed for what he raised for the Hamilton food bank. HH.

Marty I think those 3 will play along with ntcham.

22 Dec 2018 22:08:04
I Agree about Ntcham but he does produce against them. His best games for us is against the zombies.

22 Dec 2018 22:24:05
Patrick if those 3 play and Ntcham then who are you leaving out as it would need to be Sinclair as I can't imagine is leaving out Forrest.

22 Dec 2018 22:30:27
Paddy don’t know so much wouldn’t that bring an imbalance to team I would think Forrest and sinky certs bud?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Dec 2018 07:27:21
I think his poorest games are when Brendan plays him out of position on the right to cover Lustig.

23 Dec 2018 14:21:56
Calmac will play on the left in place of sinclair he always does against them brown ntcham Christie in the middle Forrest on the right.

As it's the season of good will, whoever told me in the Live Chat last week that Johnston wasn't good enough - you are forgiven lol.

Kev whoever said that hasn't been paying attention the boy has bags of talent and can only get better he's still developing.

22 Dec 2018 20:14:26
Last season he was very light weight and got brushed off the ball far too easily.

This season he has bulked up a little and does not get brushed off the ball as easily. However, he still needs to bulk up somemore I feel.

That being said the bhoy does have bags of potential and with the right attitude and application he will go a long way and could be a star for years to come in the Hoops.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 20:19:30
It was actually me that said something like that. But your taking it out of context there Kev.
At the time I was saying he's not ready to play 90 every week, week in week out. He's also needs to bulk up a bit because when out wide ( his natural position) he get knocked off the ball to easy at times.
I stand by that opinion.

Yes that bhoy is a very good talent and he will be a great player for us but at moment he's got a lot to do before being a permanent fixture every week.

But with the likes of him coming through the future is bright.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 21:06:03
Kev he definitely needs to bulk up but u only have to look at Christie putting on 10 kgs in weight he's in good hands and at the right club.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 21:28:08
Certainly is mally but remember it took Christie 2 and a bit seasons to be ready.
He will be a star but we shouldn't expect him to be ready to play all the time at the moment. It will take time but will be worth every minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 22:06:33
I'm only at the wind up Kev. He wouldn't have made the difference against Hibs, that was just a rotten day at the office all round. He's been terrific these past couple of games though and he'd be in starting XI against Aberdeen.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 22:12:11
He's the best young talent to come through our academy for a while. Agree with kev can't expect him to produce every week. IMO this is where Brendan is at his best player development. He will manage the young boy properly.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Dec 2018 22:33:20
The thing about the young hoops performing peter better not think all’s Whell wee still need to strengthen.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Dec 2018 10:56:10
Agree he needs to bulk up as does Morgan but I'd send Morgan out on loan out of the 2 as he needs a run of games more and to find his feet in the premiership we can't offer him much game time with the form of Forrest this season.

Great to see the academy bhoys doing so well long may it continue, Makes me wonder though why Ralston hasn't been given a chance before now? Does BR not rate him? Not trust him? Maybe his attitude hasn't been right? I always thought that night against PSG he played pretty well and hoped we had a player on our hands, I know he got injured for a while but was never given a chance after that until now. Hopefully these young lads can bring the best out of the other guy's in the squad on the march to 10IAR 💚🍀 HH.

It’s really good that the young boys are making an impact, it’s also really good as they all seem to have a great love of the club. Hopefully they push on, improve and we can keep a core of them running through the team. Then hopefully add players like benkovic who seem to love it once they come.

Ralston was given a chance but then got injured. After recovering from injury he seemed to fall out of favour with Rodgers.

Why he fell out of favour is anyone's guess but glad to see him back in contention.

I suppose at the moment it doesn't really matter about the past it's about the here and now and the lad is grabbing his chance and hopefully he applies himself properly and goes from strength to strength, I can only imagine how good it feels to do what these you kids are doing just now.

23 Dec 2018 02:34:25
I think BR always did rate him but he also rates Lustig and that’s probably why he hasn’t played much. I think he’ll be a superb player for us and Scotland but a lot will depend on whether Lustig stays beyond the summer. I think one of BR’s biggest strengths is his ability to manage a player’s development.

What a great performance that was. Some of the football we played was a joy to watch.
All players had great games especially Sinclair and Johnstone.
Ralston starting to look like he's ready for a major involvement in the 1st team as well.
Very happy today.

Super performance today. Have to say only for the Dundee keeper it could have been close to double figures. It was great to see the speed of passing and movement today. When they are in that form it's a real joy to watch. Delighted to see Sinclair have such a good game. Ralston and Johnstone looking so comfortable in the first team it's great to see. Roll on the new 2 games ⚽️☘☘🇮🇪.

Got to agree kev 83, to a man everyone was excellent given the changes and normal starters that were missing. Thought the boy Ralston over the last to games has been superb, the boy Johnston looks a right good player and I know I’m critical of sinclair but credit were it’s due, he was superb today, only thing missing from his excellent display was a goal. Hopefully carry the momentum onto Pittodrie then onto Ibrox.

Sinclair hitting form at the right time. Johnstone is in Dreamland like Christie. Both where given a chance and grabbed it with both hands. Ralston is another who has waited to grab his chance and impress Brendan. We have loads of young talented players who will evolve into top players under BR. Hoping for 2 or 3 new faces in the new year.

Excellent performance again today, with IMO McGregor the pick of the bunch - he just seems to get better every time I see him, and as I've always rated him anyway, that's some going. Fingers crossed for six points from the next two games and then I think the league is more or less won.

Anyone have any advice on a ticket for Valencia away? Been a long time attendee at home matches but never been away, Valencia being a long time dream to visit of mine I had to take the chance to go over.

Mike, I’ve been to around 20’ish away European games and I’ve sat with the opposition supporters as often as I’ve sat in the Celtic end. There will be Celtic fans all over the stadium and you’ll probably be able to get a ticket from the locals at a reasonable price. As long as you behave yourself, you shouldn’t get any trouble from the Valencia fans. Enjoy the trip and continue the Celtic tradition of making friends all over the world.

Poor show by the FFA effectively ruling Rogic out for trip to Govan. Clubs pay players wages and should call the shots.

I see young Dembele has scored again for the development squad and will be going on winter training camp with first team, looks like this kid if he can keep his feet on the ground could have a very bright future. I just hope we can persuade him to stay in with the hoops in February.

Also just reading an article from those clowns at talk sport about the Leicester manager and how he may be sacked if he doesn't improve results, and yes guess who they are saying will be a front runner for the job. The article ends along these lines. BR is expected to leave his post next summer with a real desire to manage in the premiership again. These clowns just don't get it do they, I mean these are the same clowns I once heard saying that Stoke are a bigger club than us .

Anyway another 3 points today just the job, 1-0 would do me given the circumstances.
💚🍀HH.

Brendan knows he has a talent on his hands keep him around the 1st team set up keeps him sweet and get him signed up when he turns 16.

the boy seems to have his head screwed on and he has seen young players coming here to be developed and getting big money transfers, such as Dembele, Wanyama. Van Dyke etc. surely if he wants to play in a top league he will be patient and develop here where he will probably get the chance to play in Europe before he reaches 18. Should he decide not to signfor us and go elsewhere he could end up like Feruz.

Over the years, it’s always been a problem for Celtic to keep a hold of their talent and with the obscene amount of money floating around the pub league these days, it should be harder than ever to keep them at CP. However, instead of leaving, they’re staying in droves. I think that’s down to BR and players realising that right now, this is one of the best clubs you could be at to develop. I hope like Forrest, McGregor, N’tcham, Griffiths, Tiermey, Sinclair, Rogic, Edouard. Dembele will decide to commit himself to the club and if he does, he’ll have the opportunity to cement his name in the Celtic history books as one of the legends who won 10 in a row.
