Should Ryan Christie get to play in the final against his parent club should Celtic win (don't want to tempt fate) Thoughts?

In my opinion the boys earned a place in the final, it would be harsh for him to miss out, but alas, business is business and im sure someone higher than BR will decide against it.

Let him play I say, if it was up to me a would never have let him go there in the first place, it was a stick on we'd get them in the final if we get there.

Lawman let's not get too above ourself we're not yet in the final although we should be streets ahead for tommorow footballs football let's get through that first! so scenario we make it to the final it goes to pens after xtra time Christie has to score to put us out it's a no win situation it won't happen no he won't play against us end of let's win tommorow Ryan's our player! another scenario if we hadn't allowed Christie to go on loan he wouldn't have scored would hibs have won pens after extra time? If ure auntie had baws would she be ure uncle there's enough shite going on about this game without Celtic supporters adding to it hail hail another party on the horizon coybig.

Haha thanks Da1888.

no way should he get to play, Celtic paid half a million pound for Christie and we are still paying a percentage of his wage while at Aberdeen . If it was a player owned by celtic that denied us the treble then someone would be held accountable.

23 Apr 2017 11:09:28
I would let him as he has earned the right but if he scored the winner that stopped the treble he'd be crucified. Would he celtic career recover?

We need to be hungry from the start tomorrow, don't let them settle, we have the pace and players to be 2 up after 20 mins and then sit in and hit them on the break I can see 3 or 4-0, broonie if you want to lose the head tomorrow get Miller or garner please and get them good 🇮🇪✌️.

Look at the team - Gordon, Lustig, Boyata, Jozo, KT, Broon, Armstrong, Rogic, Sinclair, Roberts and oh I wish I was Moussa Dembelle (to the tune of Back Home in Derry) . If we play as we can it should be a game won easily ☘️.

That would be my team as well, although I think he'll probably play Forrest ahead of Roberts.
Although there isn't one Sevco player I would want in our line up, I still think that it will be a tough match tomorrow.
The trouble with games where you have to be patient, is that you get more and more nervous with every passing minute. I would love it if we could score early and take the heat out of the game, hopefully the 1-1 draw at Celtic park last month will make us more ruthless tomorrow.

I think all of us to a man think that's our best team . Last season big Erik was outstanding! This season he has dithered n made wrong calls so yes boyata for mechanical. Our only headache ( good 1 to have ) is forrest or paddy? I side with paddy but brendan will go with forrest I think 😔 anyway it will be high tempo from the go! Just hope we go for it from the off rather than keeping possession. Get a goal then play our game.

Forrest will play to provide width. Paddy prefers to cut in and Lustig has never been one for bombing forward so we need Forrest to stretch the game.

{Ed007's Note - Rumours are flying round tonight that Paddy and McGregor will start tomorrow. If that's the case it looks like it's going to be 4-3-3 again with a MF 3 of Brown, McGregor and Arsmtrong and a front 3 of Roberts, Dembele and Sinclair.}

22 Apr 2017 21:44:01
i wouldn't play mcgregor in a street team game never mind play him for celtic he's rank rotten, get big tam rogic in there.

22 Apr 2017 21:52:50
Don't like the sounds of that at all. 4-3-3 just doesn't work well for me, it's always a bit of a struggle.

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed007's Note - Me neither, Steph as you've probably guessed from my previous moans about it.}

22 Apr 2017 23:57:21
4-3-3 can work well if you have world class players like Barcelona do but we don't have the personnel for it. Ball rentention needs to be excellent and you need to control the game in the opponents half. The problem is that without Rogic we struggle to do both those things. I thought he'd be the key man tomorrow but clearly Rodgers thinks differently. Maybe he feels the key man is Paddy up against their young left back and thinks the only way to get him in the team is to add an extra centre mid to give lustig some cover on that side.

Would it not be 4-2-3-1 with brown and McGregor sitting and Armstrong in behind mousa.

I know a few people have said this already but really wish we had kept hold of Johansen. Think he is exactly the type of player who would have thrived under Brendan. Surprised he let him go tbh but by all accounts he wanted to leave.

Agree but barring a signature he was leaving before brendan took charge. Think that's about 15 goals he's scored for fulham this season from midfield. Good chance he will be in EPL next season. hope we've got a sell on claise on him too.

Just turned it on there! That Aberdeen support, or should I say lack of it was pathetic! And I don't want to hear this early kick off rubbish! This is the club who are sitting 2nd in our top league in a national cup semi and that's what they bring! Absolute disgrace. i'm sure they'll still want there equal share for the final but!

Depends which Celtic turn up tomorrow but for me with Rogic back and Sinclair and Roberts looking back to their best of late I think their is a potential pumping coming there way.

The Ball is in Sevco's court though as success for them is anything less than 3-0. I reckon they'll sit in and hit us on the break which is where Celtic could come a cropper with 80% possession trying to break down 12 men behind the ball.

I don't think Rodgers knows how to put a team out to sit in and invite the opposition on to us although the Man City game was all about shutting them down and hitting them at pace and he got it tactically spot on.

We need Dembelle to find his hun scalping form again or Grifiths to pick up where he left off last season. Anyway all fellow TIMMITES going tomorrow take care because in my 50 plus years I've never seen the Hun angrier than he and she is at the moment and there's more chance of running into them getting to and from the national stadium than when playing at Celtic Park or the Crumble-dome.

Let's hope we show them no mercy on Divine Mercy Sunday and that Brendan Brings the Bullfighters Bigots Back to earth with a Bang! We've been hearing too much from UJ recently and would be good if he went into hiding for a while! ☘️.

@jfp88 - still here kid! And if Rangers do the unthinkable and manage another cup victory over Celtic ( I hope you don't chase Brenda out the door same as Bonnie Tyler ) then hopefully you won't be doing a Lord Lucan and graciously come on to accept your medicine. Win, lose or victorious draw it's all about manning up and taking the banter.

22 Apr 2017 14:08:29
UJ, what you call banter with your rivals I call fraternising with the enemy! Unlike Tim I don't have even imaginary friends among your lot and if I want a pal I'll buy a dug! We didn't chase Ronnie out the door he was asked to leave after your skint board told our billionaire shareholder to remember his place.

Dermot then did remember his place at the top of Scottish football and brought in a top class manager in Brendan to keep us their and your mob in their place scratching about the dirt for scraps from our table.

Win, lose or draw UJ. is that a cue for a song? ., are you sure you're not in denial and harbouring a deep seated desire to convert from the dark side to the light? Converts always welcome at Celtic Park UJ but your patter would need to improve.
