read in papers today, that Miller and the SPL have come to an agreement that Rangers will not face penalties if they become a Newco and he does what he intends to do.
Surely this is against the SPLs own rules, surelt against UEFA rules as the SPL are clearly favouring 1 club.
if this is true then i think its a disgrace, bending the rules to save their own comercial interests is just scandalous, and it also proves that the SPL have always favoured Rangers football club, something that we have all known about for years.
the SPL board are a disgrace and should resign, no favoritism, but then how much has Millar promised them in cash deals, this smacks of corruption
the SFA are just standing back and allowing this, again, the SFA showing their true colours of blue white and red, UEFA must step in and penalise both the SFA and SPL if this goes down

Celtic should not let this slide.Cheating is cheating but if rangers liquidate before the meeting on the 30th the old rules state div3.I still have the feeling Whyte might be pulling strings somewhere..........green jhedi

BILL MILLER looks to have taken another massive step towards ownership of Rangers after appearing to have cut a deal with the SPL to take a newco Ibrox club into the SPL with only limited football sanctions.

Despite the manoeuvrings from Paul Murray’s Blue Knights and Brian Kennedy, the signs are that the American will be given time to flesh out his controversial “incubator” plan as the preferred bidder.

That involves the temporary transfer of assets – Ibrox, Murray Park, players etc – to a new company, but it will not mean liquidation.

The only way Miller’s plan can now be derailed is if either the Blue Knights or Kennedy – or a combination of the two – put together a more attractive proposition in the next 24 hours.

Both are working on that but need to get it in black and white to the administrators.

It all leaves Miller on his way to ownership after he and his advisers held long and detailed discussions with the SPL that appear to have resulted in an agreement of some kind that will allow the American to move forward, knowing the future will not be blighted by restrictive football punishments.

Bit hypocritical there Ed, with your "sour grapes" comment, and then going on a rant about Gerrard. Steven will go down a legend and so he should, scored in every club cup final possible, and won every cup final possible, won a host of medals and played for the same club throughout his career, yes Steven has an attitide problem but so did Keane, you seem to hate Gerrard, there is the difference between me and you, I don't hate any rival teams players, life is to short, I just dislike players who intentionally try and end someone else's career..

Smithy {Ed007's Note - I think Gerrard of old was a wonderful player, a true legend as one of the best LFC players ever produced, but as a winning team I just think Scholes/Keane were more successful. When Scholes and Gerrard are pushing forward who is protecting the MF area?
