Hibs are not what a thought they'd be this year, pretty pish so far.

While fully expecting to swagger into ibrokes and take three points we must be careful. I watched the Thistle game live and freezing from the home of thrills, and let me say the jags were the better football team. Sevco started quickly, seems to be Brother Pedros way, but they do seem to favour a long ball game which i find strange.

The boy Declan (jeeze that must be burning them up) was really pacy and adventurous although lacked a bit of composure on his final ball. Moralles seems like a bit of a find, willing to chase and gets a shot away quickly, but really should get a chasing trying to shut our defence and midfield down.

And that's about it! No one else really stood out, Candeias (? ) looks ok but also can get caught dreaming for me. So that's that.

If we are on it and awake from minute one we will comfortably win, just beware of the first couple of minutes. Lots of pace and shelling balls wide will be the tactic.

FGJ-I have seen nothing from them to suggest anything but a comfortable win for us on Saturday. Complacency is our biggest threat but I am sure Brendan is well aware of this. We have better players in every position and should win at a canter.

We will win Saturday. Here is league cup draw.
Rangers v Motherwell
Hibs v Celtic.
Get your savings on a Rangers home tie to Motherwell. Its in the stars. Or in the balls, not sure which.

BR. Get the cheque book out. Go and buy Molt from Motherwell. Send your Man City striker back. Belive they want £10mill. Forget it buy Molt. Better than Griffiths.

@Johnymac, Moult you are joking aren't you, better than Griffiths? Jeezo remember Ciftci looked decent at Dundee Utd b4 we signed him. PS semi finals played at Hampdump no home ties.

@FGJ The only worrying thing about Morelos is his absolute shocker of a haircut.

22 Sep 2017 03:38:05
guys i have to say Moult seems to have what it takes . Now I know its the SPFL but takes into consideration, that we create so many chances for the strikes.

He scores goals, tons of pace and chases down the ball, just like LG and is a very good age at 25.

There is a very strange mood going on with the currants I work with. Call it blind faith or delusion, most of them actually think their team is coming up to par with us. Even after I pointed out that in both games against Partick, they struggled to beat a side who were playing poorly. I have seen no evidence lately that the cheats eleven are improving. One guy I spoke to had his head firmly back on the ground and stated that in the 30 years he's supported Rangers (didn't have the heart to remind him it was 25 + 5 supporting New Rangers) , it's the worst team he's seen and thinks Celtic will annihilate them.
I remember the pre McCann days when we were awful. I used to stand in the jungle saying this would improve, it had to. We were losing games by the bucketload. I don't think anyone at that time realised how dire things were, we really were days from getting wound up. All this while the establishment looked on, unhelpful and Murray's magical moonbeam tax haven who couldn't wait for us to go bust.
Everytime we hump them, I think back to those dark days and think to myself, GIRFUY!
MON THE HOOPS!

Seen enough of the old version of these
new Glasgow derby games to know how unpredictable they can be but I think the Huns will have a go and will be well shafted by half time after which they will park the caravan in the second half as a damage limitation excercise when the dogs start barking. Strange despite all the excitement about Paddys return Florist must start and will. Think Grif will start too and put the game to bed but have a feeling we'll see a Mousse loose aboot the Big Hoose on Saturday. If I was a loyal follower fae Govan I'd be shittin masel. The gulf is wider than its ever been and will be harder to cross (oh shouldn't have used that word) than the Boyne! ☘️.

I think this could well turn out to be the biggest hiding we have ever inflicted on them. In addition to wanting to tan their arses, there is so much competition for places for the Anderlect game, that I really think we will give them a serious doing.
Watching part of the game on Tuesday and then the whole game last night, the gulf in class is massive. Can't see anything other than a really really comfortable win.

I'm predicting a 4-1 win for us but with Thomson in charge you just never know he's very incapable and card happy. Surely Pedro couldn't survive another £1brox humping.

Loving the confidence bhoys I'm going for 0-4 there Latino players will lose there minds in this game when they get passed off the park lol to many scorers in the squad to predict scorers but I can't wait for it and all the huns I know are bricking it and as one of the brothers mentioned in an earlier post places for Europe at stack! Will b s joy to watch HH Bhoys and ghirls oh and the league cup draw I hope they get to the final would love to give them a record defeat in a final hh.

It's not the paying of taxes that bothers me that all the press seem to be reporting is the issue for me the issue is the non declaration of player payments as by sfa rules all payments to player must be included in the contracts and lodged with the sfa. This wasn't done so the side letter payments make all ebt players ineligible thus 3-0 loss in each of these game. This is why sfa and spfl want to move on and not rake over old coals.

Going on current form and fitness, I'd go with this team on Saturday:

Gordon
Lustig Boyata Jozo KT
Brown Armstrong
Forrest Rogic Sinclair
Griffiths

Hopefully bring on Paddy, McGregor and Moose for the last half hour. I can see 3-1 or 4-1 tbh.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Ntcham for Armstrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 13:12:54
I'd start Ntcham and bring Armstrong on. I'd play Paddy and Dembele if fit all day long.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 13:24:19
If we play a back three, I would have Brown with Ntcham as defensive midfielders; but if we start with a back four then, unlike against Dundee it allows for Rogic, McGregor or Armstrong to push forward.
The only slight problem I noticed last night is accommodating paddy and James Forrest together as I felt Roberts was out of position last night and never had the same impact we know he can and the way Forrest is playing it's impossible to leave him out.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 13:39:51
I think Roberts looked way off the pace last night otherwise he'd have been in my team. Forrest is on fire just now so that's why I'd have him in. Armstrong gives more energy and attacking threat than Ntcham and I feel their set up will only require one sitting midfielder in Brown, allowing Armstrong to bomb forward and help the forwards. Dembele obviously is the main man but I think BR will show faith in Griff.

No matter what 11 we go with what an incredibly strong bench we will will have.

21 Sep 2017 14:13:30
I'd definitely play Griffiths if he's still fit, think he might be sore the day he was limping a lot before he went off.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 15:01:13
It's a good headache to have for sure Kevbhoy. On ability, Forrest gets dropped. On form, he's in. Certainly Stan, to think we could have Griffiths/ Dembele, Roberts/ Forrest/ Rogic, Armstrong and McGregor to bring on; all players that would get in their first XI imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 15:25:08
I think Dembele was rested for the tie and expect him to start. Since Griff hardly deserves dropping I think we'll go out shooting both barrels. Probably that means Paddy dropping out and Forrest as starting, with Ntcham, Sinclair, and Broony filling out the midfield.

Have we got a back line of Lustig, Boyata, Simunovitch and Tierney all fit? I really could see a back 3 to enable an extra midfielder bombing on, and could see any of Armstrong, McGregor or Rogic all making sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Sep 2017 16:21:19
Been very surprised if he plays a back 3 against the Zombies.
Who ever he plays they need to watch for the play acting from Morales, he dives more than Tom Daley.
Our players will need to be sensible and don't dive in to the tackles, the Sevco players and not to mention their fans will be screaming for one of our Bhoys to be sent off at the slightest foul.
I feel Roberts has to play from the start, he will cause the full backs all sorts of bother. Then for the last 20-30mins bring on Forrest when the wee man done his shift.
I suppose that's why Brendan gets the big money to make these decisions and I only make comments on here!
Can't wait till Saturday when Glasgow will truly be Green and White.
