Oh dear, malcontent over on the dark side, they're giving it tight to McMoist, just as we did to Lennon after Sunday's nightmare. Let's get behind Lenny and win this bloody League because I definitely think there's more drama to come from their side.

If our manager finds consistency in team selection, as we've all said, we should have a team/squad capable of winning! These players should know their responsibilities to the club and should be busting a gut for the remainder of the season. It's what's expected!.....Miko

joe ledley our unsung hero showed tonight that u cant leave him out...always hassling player and good distribution of the ball,takes a touch and moves it on. think back to last OF game last season where ledley was put in the game not 100% fit and lennon left out our most consistent player in commons but this year he left him out and commons not to be in squad. hope lennon learned from it. ledley doesnt get the praise he should.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Correct.....whoever you are. He's tidy and always looking for the ball, keeps it moving. I'm still bewildered as to why he didn't play on Sunday??....Miko

anyone got prices for celts for the treble?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I have had a good bet on multiple trophies for Celtic. We are 11-1 for the treble, 4-1 for SPL & Scottish League cup, 6-1 for Scottish FA cup & League cup. All these prices are correct at the moment with PADDY POWER and are only half they odds with other bookies. Get on quick b4 they notice the boob ( they are still pricing Rangers for the treble lol ) Good luck, Pod

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope u managed to get ur bet on as Paddy power have now changed the prices almost 24hr after everyone else. We are now 6-1 for the treble

Is it safe to come out?
I was staying under here for another few days, but if somethings happened, i'm definately coming oot!
paddybhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

Lol paddybhoy are you 'coming out'. We had a shocker but doesn't change that we beat you on Sunday and you struggled by Ross County. Watch out Inverness are coming for you, and if they succeed the league could be over by Christmas.

GovanFR {Ed007's Note - We might have struggled GFR, but that is 4-2 to us now, the amount of competitions we are in compared to Rangers. Out of 3 tournaments and it's not the end of September..... I wonder what Rangers fans would be saying if they had lost on Sunday as well? Plenty of time to catch up in the league and chase the treble, we are the only team who can do it now after all.}

Only disappointing thing, I wanted falkirk to win in extra time to knacker gers more. hail hail Timalloy
PS just shows you how physical Old Firm games take it out you also {Ed007's Note - I'm not one to stir things as you know Tim but how many cups is that Sally has been put out of this season? It's not even the end of September yet ;-)

That was hard going, but through to next round.
Wonder if Kayal would have played like that on Sunday if he had the armband from the start?
That El Khadouri guy is like a slow-motion Mo Camara and is it in his contract that he's not allowed to heid the baw? - Much the same as big Forster not coming for crosses AGAIN...
Still not playing the way we like but it was a wild night and there was a few nerves out there.
Could have been worse?? But I sure hope it gets a lot, lot better.

Ed007, Not the greatest of games, but Celtic doing what they have to. Bangura only getting 10 minutes again not enough to judge him.
Switching between our game and Milan - Udinese one, Udinese 1-0 as we speak, they look a big powerful team, very well organised. Assamoha looks good, Di Natalie looks the playmaker. If they win they go top of italian league.
See also that Hooviveld has scored for Southhampton tonight. surely him and O'Dea are better than Loovens and Mastolvic. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - It's a win tonight Tim, that's all that mattered. Di Natalie is a fantastic player. Did you see that Ranieri is getting the Inter job? I bet WS is regretting not going to OT in the summer now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Udinese game ended 1-1 they are joint top of Serie A. Looks like Inter will be in bottom 3, early days but still Inter in bottom 3??
I think Europa game next week will be an open game as Udinese look to get forward on every occasion. Timalloy

Ref

part of steve?post

I read one post yesterday from "tony" who called me a liar, and said he "hated everything to do with celtic", this is where it starts, hating celtic, they are known as a catholic team, therefore i hate catholics, it is this mindset we must challenge.
People like "tony" are an apologist for the sectarian hate that goes on and their way of dealing with it is to say it never happens or most is made up.
Sadly in my case it was very real, I urge all right thinking people to speak up against sectarianism in all its forms. Steve (editor has my full real name)

lets get something sorted right here and know i never called you a liar i took you to task over your assumption that glasgow has an anti catholic mentality what i said was depends where in glasgow you come from and not only glasgow but nearly all the west coast of scotland have areas where catholics dare not go and areas where protestants do not go and as for your post because i hate celtic means i hate Catholics you really need some counselling m8

i always thought of celtic a football team not a catholic team yes the majority of supporters are catholic but as far as im aware the team and the club have never had any bias leaning towards Catholics but maybe im wrong

i hate Man Utd therefore by your reckoning i must be anti English.

LET ME SAY THIS MY FRIEND ITS EXACTLY BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT CANT SEPARATE FOOTBALL FROM RELIGION THAT WE HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS BETWEEN RANGERS AND CELTIC.

i bet you there are lots of people who post and read these pages that hate all things rangers that dont hate protestants im sorry for what you and your family went through by a small minority of bigots but dont class every rangers fan the same .

im sorry to say m8 you are not unique there are catholics,protestants,Muslims,Jews and many other people of different colour and religion that went through and are still going through what you have said your family went through because of a minority of intolerant morons.

in my own personal opinion you are a very bitter man that needs to separate football from religion Celtic is a catholic team my sweet A55 look back over your history m8 some of your greatest player and managers were not catholic.

Tony {Ed007's Note - How can anyone hate Man Utd? ;-)

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I can Ed hate the lot of em Man Utd, City Chelsea,Liverpool the lot to much money the amount of money being paid by these teams are spoiling football and whos fault is it mine yours and anyone who subscribes to sky sports if we could get a channel that showed scottish football i would cancel my sky sports.

Tony {Ed007's Note - Supporters of smaller clubs have said the same thing about CFC and Rangers up here for years though, Tony.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If people in a rangers tops are beating you up and giving you sectarian abuse it`s kind of hard to separte football from religion. btw tony hate is a very strong word.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know ed but those smaller clubs like killie etc do benefit from the OF in gate receipts

Tony {Ed007's Note - The EPL fans get better value for money though Tony. Compare some of their prices to up here, £42 for Ibrox on Sunday? It is still the SPL at the end of the day. This is last years prices in the EPL:

johnoconnor.suite101.com/2010--2011-english-premier-league-ticket-prices-a263035

Agree0 Disagree0

What im getting at is the original poster was insinuating that rangers have a problem with their supporters and sectarian attacks i know some ppl who wear rangers tops indulge in these attacks but not all and the problem is not only with rangers as the poster is trying to insinuate please read this link and a brief extract of the case below

i dont class these animals as Celtic fans i class them as Animals wearing a celtic top put a Celtic top on a donkey and what do you have (another Samaras) you have a donkey wearing a celtic top. not a celtic supporter.

but what really pi55es me of is the halfwit saying if i hate celtic i must hate Catholics maybe hate is a strong word but my feelings for celtic go beyond simple dislike, even if i mildly disliked celtic dont mean i mildly dislike catholics. as i have said before i am not a religious person in any way i believe in god but not religion i happen to be married to a practising Roman Catholic who i love and cherish more than life its self i would gladly burn down Ibrox and Celtic park in order to save my wife.

as my wife believes in her faith she had our three children baptised in her faith does this seem like the actions of some one who hates Catholics. maybe im fortunate to be able to remove religion from football as all my in-laws support celtic and i get on very well with most of them or maybe im one of the Rangers fans that come home after getting beat by Celtic and batter my wife then if we beat Celtic i celebrate by battering my wife.

I DONT THINK I HAVE EVER BEEN SO OFFENDED AS I AM NOW TO THINK THAT BECAUSE I HATE CELTIC I HATE CATHOLICS

ive got a m8 who is a protestant/celtic fan and he will tell you he hates Rangers

www.tottenhamjournal.co.uk/news/celtic_fans_jailed_for_drunken_attack_on_wood_green_rangers_fan_1_893225

Boyle and Fullerton, who was wearing a Celtic shirt, shouted: 'Proddy b******' and 'Kill the b******' as they battered him

Tony {Ed007's Note - Was that not a revenge attack Tony after one of the killers had been attacked in a sectarian assault? It's no excuse but as we have said, each side has an unsavoury element that will always drag their respective clubs down. We could trawl the internet and find stories that show the opposition fans in a bad way. Surely we aren't at the stage of 'We might do it but not as bad/much as you'? Very few of these people actually attend matches either.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest Ed the EPL dont have to rely on season ticket money to survive they got Murdochs millions to keep them going

Tony {Ed007's Note - There are clubs in the EPL that are in serious financial trouble, and the like of City and Chelsea will find it difficult under the FFP regs when they come in. It isn't as rosy a picture down there as people think. Though I do agree that SKY's money helps them, we only have ourselves to blame for this after jumping into bed with the failed Setanta deal.}

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you 'HATE' a football team especially Man Utd, with Mr Govan incharge ? {Ed007's Note - Garbage!!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed thats my point exactly the west coast of scotland,rangers and Celtic have a problem with sectarianism not just glasgow and rangers as the poster was implying

Tony {Ed007's Note - I actually think it is a Scottish wide problem Tony, and wherever there is a large Scottish community it seems to be there to an extent. I have seen it all over the UK, and not just through football.}

Agree0 Disagree0

REF:- How can you 'HATE' a football team especially Man Utd, with Mr Govan incharge ? {Ed007's Note - Garbage!!}

What's Garbage ? Not Man Utd & AF is most defo from Govan... What has where Utd's manager's from got do do with anyone not liking them?}

Looks like there will be a lot of changes for tonights game and I have mixed feelings about this as we have came a cropper in previous years in cup competitions with un-tested line-up's at lower division grounds.
Obviously there are injuries and suspensions to cope with and on papaer we should have enough squad strength to cope, but confidence is shaky and the constant changes (in defence especially) can be a handicap against a settled nothing -to-lose team.
I obviously hope we bounce back quickly as I couldn't handle another Mowbray or Barnes scenario.
As I have said before, this is not an over-reaction to Sunday but a reflection on a really unsteady and disappointing season so far. 'Mon The Hoops!

Anyone see the article in the Sun with Brown and the idiots? How pathetic are the papers getting now? Are stories that hard to come by now that all the taps have been taken from the phones !

They manage to publish a full page artile on a picture of two guys that have never clapped eyes on each other standing next to each other.... I have never heard of the group they were a part of (will not even mention their name as it doesnt deserve to be said).

you stated that the figures for an increase in domestic abuse rose when rfc lost- the insinuation being that rfc fans beat their wives because they were unhappy at getting beat. Later you tried to qualify your argument by adding alcohol to the mix.

It is of course quite silly to suggest that domestic abuse is the domain of the knuckle-dragging rfc fan.

I think the subject should dropped on this forum IMO

Dear Mr Editor
I wrote in yesterday and some people questioned my post was genuine, there are some sad people out there, but today I have put my name for you to see.
Sadly in 2011 there is still religious intolerance (and in my famil'ys case hate!)
My intention on rasing the issue was to inform people how wrong this is, grown men attacking children because they are roman catholic. Spitting at my wife in the street, these things were an everyday occurrence.
I have no doubt there are some protestant families going through the same torment as my family, my issue was to raise awareness of it.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Steve,

I know what you are talking about I stay in Livi I am a protestant Celtic supporter and you should see the abuse I get.

Agree2 Disagree2

Why click disagree leave a comment instead of hiding behind a computer mouse. Believe me this is true happens all over the country.

Agree2 Disagree1

I find it very hard to relate to that level of bigotry. I'm from aviemore, Celtic daft, mothers an Irish catholic, fathers a rangers suporting Protestant. My mates are a mix off both. Sometimes things get heated and a wee bit out of hands up here but usually the perpetrators are from the central belt. We have mixed schools up here and that is maybe the way forward in Glasgow and surrounding areas. markiebhoy.

Agree1 Disagree2

Sorry steve but to say that if someone hates celtic they hate catholics is every bit as much of a problem .... simply not true as was said its not just catholics that support celtic. Waht both clubs need to do is distance themselves from religion .... gers ARE NOT a prod club and celtic ARE NOT a catholic club ... its the fans that tag them like this not the clubs.
eliminating that thought process is winning half the battle
Germinator

Agree1 Disagree2

What a tw*t! You are trying your best to stir up crap. I hate Celtic. I do not hate Catholics. I do not believe in god. I have many Catholic pals. To say people who do not like Celtic must therefore not like Catholics is sad and typical of the rubbish being spouted by a vocal minority of Celtic supporters. Stop it!

Agree0 Disagree2

Just stick your head in the sand lads it happens and its not just rangers fans. i was is a pub in edinburgh and a mate said to me alright paddy, this knuckle dragger heard him and gave me abuse just for having the name paddy. he did not even know if i was a celtic fan or a catholic.
the guy was a hearts fan. i am not saying all gers and hearts fans are bad lads. you can call me a tw*t as well, just abuse is a step in the right direction.

Agree2 Disagree0

Germinator in todays evening times, two rangers fans were banned from ibrox for attacking two men simply because they had on a celtic shirt, to the guy, unamed as usual saying "Tw.t" look at the guys post again he is highlighting the problem. We must all condemn all violence. hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

....not read the times, but there isnt a lot that i can do about that ? i still stand by my original statement that we should all take responsabilty in trying to dis-associate rangers as being a prod club and celts being a cath club. As a club I can say that i hate celtic .. i hope that every single domestic game u get humiliated, i hope every game ur manager has a howler, fans are in uproar, get every decisiosn given against you etc i do not (on a domestic level) want celtic to have 1 ounce of success or joy !) I and like 99% of OF fans am able to tell the differenciate between celtic and their fans. I do not wish any harm upon a single celtic fan...however wish celtic all the hard luck and trouble in the world (dont take the trouble word literally you know what i mean).

Germaintor {Ed007's Note - Too many people 'hate' the opposition team more than they love their own. And a lot of Rangers fans 'hate' NL more than their 'hatred' for CFC and love for Rangers combined.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy, unamed as usual saying "Tw.t" look at the guys post again he is highlighting the problem. We must all condemn all violence

... Yes we must condem ALL violence, but let's do EXACTLY that. Why give it an anti Catholic stance? Why not an anti biggot stance? And I stand by my tw*t reference, to say I must be a biggot because I love to see Celtic suffer is pure mischief making. My phone goes nut's whenever Rangers take a doing, my Celtic pals give it large! And you know what, I'm not sure if they are all Catholics or not, coz I don't care! And in a football sense non of us should. Football has nothing to do with it! If you are the kind of small minded thug that would attack anyone for their ethnic or religious views, then you are exactly that, a small minded thug... nowt to do with who you support on a Saturday. Don't mix it up or it just stirs up trouble, which is what I suspect you are trying to do...

Agree0 Disagree0

Standing by your tw*t reference is not exactly helping you is it?
the guy is talking about getting abuse from rangers fans and what do you do?

Agree0 Disagree0

Religion has no place in football.

End of.

Tony, that is at least twice you have accused me of false posts, I am not getting into justify myself except to say I would hope our Ed007 knows when a post is genuine or not. I put my name on all my posts as I enjoy the buzz when "Timalloy" is talked about.
As to you asking me for an apology, if you check back gers banter 11.13 am Monday I did apologise and on celtic site also.
I await your apology with interest. hail hail Timalloy

Hi edd, love this site, I have been Reading with interest for some time now although this is my first time posting. Regarding the previous post blaming nl for the defeat, I can't help but agree to an extent, my main problem was that it appears he set out his midfield 4 with the thoughts on stopping a rangers midfield 5 (as is the the normal way rangers line up against Celtic) hence 3 center mids and a defender, and no wingers to be seen. I never thought I would see the day that NL would lack courage but he did and AM pulled the wool over his eyes I feel by playing an attacking midfield. Get back to playing the Celtic way with at least one winger on the park and with Forrest and stokes together (one can't play without the othe) and it may still come good for us...he has to have the bottle to play them in big games though. Thanks for your time I hope I haven't wittered on to much..markiebhoy.

just a thought if rangers went into administration and had a 10 point deduction they would still win the league by a country mile if sundays display is anything to go by

Believable2 Unbelievable1

To be fair, if it did happen, it might spur rangers on even more so i have got to kinda agree with that.
look at dundee last season, 25 point deduction should have been demoralising yet they fought all season and hardly lost a game.

To be fair, the SPL has been a one horse race for too long now. I suggest we give u'z a 10 point start each season, just to give u'z a wee thrill and to keep Sky interested...

Agree0 Disagree0

I see we have went from 'yous' to 'u'z'....I wonder what players gers will get to keep in the event of administration ? I would say that's more of a worry than the 10pts in the SPL.
