It's still not sinking in Ed, they seriously have to open their eyes. We manage a 1-1 draw away in Europa League and they get slaughtered by the BBC - a good night all round. Anyway, why do the BBC have an agenda against Rangers? Why would they? Revelations about Whyte (& associates) and his business practice shows him in a bad light, I felt their dossier on him wasn't very balanced,however there may be reasons for that?

Alastair Johnston revealed he specifically advised against Murray selling to Whyte, he was the Chairman of an independent board so had no ulterior motive other than to ensure the takeover was beneficial to the business and its shareholders. He then revealed he was asked to resign by Whyte to which he replied "No Surrender!". This man is obviously more of a Rangers man than Whyte is, so logic would suggest that any supporter in his position, with the best interests of the club at heart, would have embraced Whyte with his millions if he was legitimate.

What is clear is that Whyte is in a no lose situation and that he will not appeal should Rangers lose the case. My interpretation into that is, he will be quite happy to call in the administrators, reclaim his £18m as primary creditor, Rangers will be under administration and in turn, lose their identity as Rangers Football Club.

He's had previous in this regard with other ventures, broken promises/declarations that have led to businesses being wound up. Have the BBC sensationalised their revelations regarding Whyte, or is there genuine and reasonable concerns?

I could go on, however everything surrounding Whyte remains murky........roll on November, this is getting really tasty!.....Miko....Hail Hail {Ed007's Note - The BBC have no agenda against Rangers apart from threatening court against against GS that he could be Rangers DOF and still work on Sportscene as a pundit. Seems the paranoia has now swung full circle and now it seems all us 'Tims' stories we made up seem quite true. At least journalism in Scotland are doing their job instead of lapping up the succulent lamb offered by their Ibrox paymasters.}

Hey Miko

seen one of your post further down where you state that if Rangers go into admin we would lose all our good players and have to but cheap inferior players.

do you honestly think any of the current Celtic squad would sign for Rangers

Tony

Believable1 Unbelievable0

If you go into Administration..you won't be allowed to buy any players until you come out of it !

Tony - give up on biting the Administration thing, it would set Rangers back years end of.

Tony a hypocrite ?! NEVER
"I am one Rangers who want you to stay in Europe at least up untill xmas"

"i said i dont want celtic to progress and if you are asking me am i bitter towards celtic Well YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT."

both post made on the same day !

let me try and make this simple for you and explain why its not hypocritical to be bitter towards Celtic and at the same time hope they stay in Europe

i want Celtic to stay in Europe up untill xmass for no other reason than in the hope that they pic up a few injurys and lets look at the two weekend results after Europe lost to Rangers then Lost to Hearts and i honestly think that they will drop points against Aberdeen.

if you posted the full post where i said i wanted Celtic to stay in Europe you will have noticed it was part of a post regarding sion and the scenario of Celtic having to leave the competition i was stating that if they had to leave they would still be entitled to around £5 mill so it would be better if they continued and as stated picked up a few injury's to key player and lets not forget the fun we have watching the three stooges at the back tonight was hilarious lol

Tony

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Wh is it you want to see injured ? What a terrible statement to make...

Most of our 'best' players are already out injured anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Now lets see if Ledley picked up a knock that kept him out for a few weeks that would do the 4 in a row campaign no harm and maybe stokes to i never thought of the downside of this big herman munster might pick up an injury and lennon would be forced to drop him same goes for mulgrey and the rest of your defence and we wouldnt want that

PS when i say Injury i dont mean the type izzy or elephant man brown has got im talking slight knocks that keep a couple out over important games and dont tell me you lot would not give a little smile if Jelavic or Naismith picked up a knock just before the OF game

Tony

Agree0 Disagree0

You have only one good player out injured izzy commons aint playing cause Lennon is pissed at him i dont rate brown so which other best player is injured

I think the only thing we learned from (Rangers inside story) was how many of his businesses have failed in the 90s. I think you could have done a better job Ed. I don't know if you remember me asking you about 4 or 5 months ago what is your take on the whole situation at Rangers and you told me basically everything that was mentioned on that program tonight. I was fearing the worse on that program.

Ed I asked you a question last night about why is it English teams always have the luck to score last minute goals and the old firm always concede them and your reply was English teams have the Quality to change a game. Well how did Birmingham? I'm sure they said on ESPN that they scored in the 9th minute of injury time. Surely to God we have more quality than them?

i dont get half of the 'fans' on here in a few games lennon goes from the messiah to needs to get sacked but then you suggest making the same mistakes by getting in inexperienced managers if we are to lose lennon and need a new manager id want some one who has experience rather than just a good player with no experience such as larson and hartson that get thrown around on here

Anyone think Wanyama deserves a run?

Class act tonight, played well every other game bar Hearts where he was nowhere near being the worst player on the park and when the midfield is fit I can see him being bit-part as he's been anyway. I'd have him in the team on his form, don't quite know where with a fit midfield but maybe he could do a turn at CB or LB?

ED007, first the game half decent performance, but again our defenders are taking it in turn to make a clown of themselves! It also proves Stokes cannot play on his own up front, he cannot hold ball up, hate to say it but at least Big Sammy can play that role.
Now to the fun part, I watched BBC and was amazed at the shady dealing "Allegedely" brought up and some of the dodgy characters he was working with, any Rangers fan reading this, are you really confident in this man having control of your club. If I was in your shoes, I would be bricking myself, this guy only looks after one person Mr C Whyte.
HMRC will be at this moment contacting BBC for their dossier. hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Nothing I didn't already know Tim, mate.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stokes had a good game but should've scored. He can't hold the ball up or win it in the air but he drew fouls, moved around, caused their defence a fair bit of bother when given the opportunity. Even if not the best option I think he's performed the best of any of them we've stuck up front on their own recently (although IMO Bangura looks to be the one for that job and probably will be when he's used to playing in the team as he's still only had a handful of games and a few short sub appearances).

Well that documentary was a loada crap. Didn't really tell us anything we didn't know already. I don't doubt there is far more to Mr. Whyte than meets the eye but nobody knows any facts yet. All business men who make the kind of dough he has will have made enemies or pulled the odd stroke or two, only time will tell if he has a hidden agenda for Rangers. He looks a slimey wee geezer though, would probably steal the milk oot yer grannie's tea.

Gerry The Ger. {Ed007's Note - CFC fans knew all about it, maybe Rangers fans will realise the truth now, bullying board members etc, 'off the radar' wealth, unscrupulous business history etc etc.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Alright ed. I have a financial background and although i never had any dealings with Whyte or any of his companies he was well known for being a ruthless business man and a risk taker and wasn't particularly well liked because of it. Is he a genuine Rangers fan and does he have Rangers best interests at heart? I hope so but personally i have no idea and only in the fullness of time will we find out. But as for his boatrace, well its not exactly trustworthy is it. A bit too smug looking for my liking.

Gerry The Ger {Ed007's Note - As a genuine Rangers fan why did he but season tickets for Fir Park for years?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerry the Ger, welcome to our Celtic pages, seen a couple of your posts yesterday, looking forward to a good debate with you as your bears on your own site only know swear words.
Gerry, If I was in your shoes I would be really worried where this guy will lead your club to. One point on programme I thought was well made when someone said Rangers have had 120 years of history, if administration happens we lose all that and become "Rangers 2012" good point.
Hope to see you around mate, and of course I am going to love all this, you better believe it, but take care pal Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

I said months back that if the club went into administration the taxman could walk away with nothing and many of you said i was talking mince

Tony {Ed007's Note - Rangers have agreed to the bill, it is the penalties they are disputing. HMRC get their money Tony, no matter what what, administration will not effect the HMRC case in anyway: Extract from a legal document I have in my possession:

'HMRC must have had very strong evidence indeed for Rangers to admit liability for the underpaid tax and interest.'

Agree0 Disagree0

Well somebody's got to lol. Mibbae he fancied the burd dishing oot the pies or even wee Craig Broon, thats a scary thought eh. Or maybe he was pals with Boyle, Well chairman that is not Subo. Now there's a thought eh, i'm surprised he's no tried to shack up wi her for her cash. Seriously though ed i have no idea it could be perfectly innocent, or then again mibbae no.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright Timalloy mate, i've no doubt you will be revelling in this, you don't really try and hide it though do you lol. I think any fan with an ounce of common sense will have serious concerns over Whyte but i'll hold judgement until after the tax case, maybe the guy does have Rangers best interests at heart but he's going to have to do a hell of a lot more to convince me.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerry it is when he tells all you Rangers fans "I'm just off to Monaco for a wee holiday" then bears START WORRYING hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerry, couple of Celtic fans on here keep asking why I go on both sites and wind up you bears, well first it is a banter site and secondly hate all this watp, 4iar stuff, nothing original so if bears say this I give them pelters, no freebies, give it take it, the hilarious thing is most bears on gers site cannot take and go complaining to their ed ha ha, so what do I do? give them MORE pelters back LOL Timalloy I give it but I take it too but I give it back with interest ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Timalloy you are spot on mate. A banter site is surely meant for "banter". If everybody agreed on everything and there was no banter the world would be a boring place indeed. If the tax case goes against us i fully expect your good self, ed 007 and all regular Celtic contributors to give me pelters and if the tax case goes our way you know i'm gonna give you all both barrels. I worked in an office that had 8 people in it. Myself and 7 Celtic fans, i was completely outnumbered and took some slagging but the banter was the only thing that made the job bearable. If you give it you've gotta take it as well. Some folk just cant understand this concept.

Undeserved result for Celtic tonight, got played off the park and Neil Lennon celebrated it like it was a win (HAHA). Still will finish bottom of the table, i'd put my house on it, Celtic fans even gloating about being in Europe means they've stooped to a new low, it's embarrassing. {Ed007's Note - 1-1 result will show up in the history books, where are all these humpings Rangers fans predicted, 3nd in the Europa league if I am not mistaken. I'd be more worried about the BBC1 expose than European football if I was a Rangers fan.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

3rd out of how many ed????
Get a grip ya belter, lol. You take the biscuit sometimes. {Ed007's Note - Didn't Rangers fans say CFC would get a humping in every Europa League game? That was wrong, the money trouble at their club and dubious owner was all made up nonsense, wrong again. Or are you going to blame your ex-mananger's employer now for upsetting you AGAIN and making it all up. The BBC are awaiting court rulings etc from Whyte, if he can afford the lawyers's bills this tim.}}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you are mental.Are you happy that your club is 3rd out of a group that contains 4 teams. Why are you going on about matters that have nothing to do with the point I made. You are too easy to wind up. You should chill, lol. Get a good laugh out of you though. {Ed007's Note - Well it is better than Rangers predictions of no points, no goals, humpings etc etc. So I am as usual very happy when Rangers fans actually show how thick they are, it does seem to be a hobby.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans show how thick they are thats abit strong ed! Were not all that bad and tbf did you reli expect celtic to do anything in europe? Another thing i hate is this excuse evryone seems to b using at celtic europe is costing us the spl . Rangers. Were in it last year and still one

Gazza 72 {Ed007's Note - It's a bring strong calling me a liar and worse, abusing my wife and family because I stated facts (with eveidence) that have now came to light as I said all along. If you don't know the facts but want to resort to name calling me, my wife and family because you can't read or comprehend official club documents then that constitutes being thick and kidding on everything is ok. FFS, was that it? I missed the 'one show' to watch that, must have been a celtic fan as he mentioned only 7 points clear................or did he mean main challengers. It was hardly ground breaking commentary. {Ed007's Note - It depends when the program was made, most of the stuff on it I said months ago.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, in response, I would say Craig Whyte is either a very savvy individual or a complete nut job? It is hardly a low key job as Rangers chairman, if he is up to no good- and everyone watching him- what does he expect to achieve? {Ed007's Note - Look at his business history to see what he achieves.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What he achieves is closing down failing businesses, making promises and keeping his cash, Sound Familiar? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - It does to me Tim, I said it months ago ;-0 but was supposedly making it up ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, behave now. Self praise and all that, in fact did you not tell us that celtic would win the league this season? {Ed007's Note - It's not over yet with the league, but I was correct with the total financial shambles Rangers were/in and everything I said would happen has happened so far.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I will back you up Ed. I asked a question to yourself about Whyte and the tax issue about 4 or 5 months ago and you were spot on with everything that got mentioned on the program tonight. Ed is your real name Kevin Sykes? Only joking mate. He seems to know everything about Whytes businesses. Lol

Firstly SFA why was Whyte not investigated under "fit and proper guidelines"
Secondly why has none of the Scottish journalists looked into this before, it looks like not even intensive but simple investigating would have uncovered Whyte's past business dealings, shame on you Keevins, Young, Traynor all a bunch of puppets.

To be honest I thought he had a good game tonight bar the comedy duet with Cha Du Ri which he should've dived for - it's a pass but if it puts the team in danger it may not be percieved as such by the referees and even if it does we give ourselves a chance to stick 10 men behind the ball with a free kick.

The fact Cha had a wee smile about it straight after the incident and at the end with Pitroitpa kinda grates on me as stuff like that is serious for the club's hopes and the fans especially given our shocking defending this year, but I suppose I had a giggle at it as well.

As for Forster, good shot stopper, doesn't do enough at corners though and relies too much on his defenders to clear the ball. A guy of 6'7 should be getting up and catching anything and everything near the 6 yard box and taking pressure off the team.

Craig Whyte: I will see this through

CRAIG WHYTE today assured Rangers supporters he will underwrite an investment of £20million into the club by 2016 but revealed he is open to the idea of other major investors coming on board and fan ownership schemes.

He also denied rumours that the club were running out of money and insisted that, although £3m of cash has been frozen in three pending claims against them by HMRC, former chief executive Martin Bain and finance director Donald McIntyre, there would be scope to make signings in January.

Details emerged today of his first meeting with the four board members of the powerful Rangers Supporters Trust, which took place yesterday at Ibrox.

Whyte who reiterated Rangers would survive even if they are hit with a £49m tax bill in their on-going battle with HMRC even though much of his future plans hinge on the outcome of that case wants to establish a working base for the clubs commercial operations in the City of London, like Manchester United,

Whyte was questioned on a number of topics, and the RST were pleased with his open and honest approach.

Trust board member Mark Dingwall said: The meeting went very well. It was very open and relaxed and Mr Whyte answered all our questions that were put forward on behalf of our members. Everyone who attended was satisfied with how the meeting went. He is committed to engaging with the fans and groups such as the Trust, the Rangers SupportersAssembly and Association.

He is confident regarding the tax case but, if it does not go the way Rangers hope, he is determined to see the club through. He is fully committed to protecting small shareholders going forward, no matter the circumstances.

He talked about the fact Manchester United have offices in London and meeting with the commercial director there to see how they operate. He thinks Rangers have maybe been under-selling themselves over the years and is keen to take advantage of the fact that the club is so well supported across the world. He is keen to expand the Rangers brand.

We have a particular interest in fan involvement and Mr Whyte was certainly very interested in that and the nature of that. It is something that needs discussion, but he was speaking about looking at the model used at Hamburg and also by some Portuguese clubs. He is hoping to go to Hamburg for the friendly and speak with people at the club regarding this matter.

The minutes from the Whyte meeting with the RST reveal ...

ADMINISTRATION OF THE CLUB: The chairman is 100% committed to protecting the rights of small shareholders in the event of the club going into administration.

He does not consider that insolvency is inevit-able, but in any case it will be manageable. He stated as a Rangers fan it would be as uncomfortable and unpleasant for him as for everyone else, but he was confident we would see it through. There is no doubt the club would continue.

THE TAX CASE: The chairman expects the case to come to a head before Christmas, but any outcome would still be subject to appeal.

INWARD INVESTMENT: The chairman re-iterated he will underwrite the investment of £20m by 2016. However, he is open to other investment from other major investors and the fans.

FREEZING OF CASH DUE TO LEGAL PROCEEDINGS: The chairman conceded this makes life difficult with regard to cash-flow, but it will not affect the clubs ability to, for instance, make signings in the January window.

FINANCE: The chairman regards it as necessary to pursue a twin-track approach in the current climate with both cost- cutting and income generation being the keys to financial health.

He used the example of the Manchester United operations base in London where they engage with major corporations to exploit commercial value.

He is actively seeking to establish an office for Rangers in the city of London he regards the club as a big one and thinks its time we started acting in a manner befitting one; believes Rangers has vast untapped potential.

RESIGNATIONS OF DIRECTORS: The chairman said he considered he got on well with both John Greig and John McClelland and he first heard of their resignations was when they were reported in the media. He felt he had not excluded them from decision-making.

FAN REPS: As fans are the major investors in RFC, the Trust favours looking at mechanisms to give them a real say in the affairs of the club.

The chairman is very open to such moves, but stressed the club finances are very much subject to the result of the tax case.

LEARNING FROM OTHER CLUBS: The chairman hopes to visit Hamburg and see how a large fan-owned club like HSV operates.

He also believes the membership system of Portuguese clubs could be worth exploring and which parts of them might be applicable to Scotland.

Whyte was asked about his decision to ban the BBC ahead of tonights documentary programme, to be screened at 7pm, into his takeover and the clubs future.

The minutes revealed: The chairman considered that allegations put to him so far by the BBC were unfounded and unfair.

He is not aware of all of the content of the programme but, after viewing, he will respond accordingly.

He views the BBC Investigates programme as part of a pattern of behaviour on behalf of the BBC towards Rangers and Rangers fans.

Hes astonished that the BBC would produce a programme largely based on internet chit-chat and bloggers.

What's you take on that Ed?
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - Basically he said what Rangers fans wanted to hear. His investment commitment hasn't changed since is initial plans, did he mention the 'warchest'? He hasn't answered ang questions that have been asked for months.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Alright ed, I still say give the guy a chance, if he is a total walter mitty, he is going to be found out big time. I am of, and have always been of, the opinion that what will be will be. This does not mean I believe everything I see or hear, rather to the contrary. Celtic fans are hoping that he is a charlatan and will lead Rangers to rack and ruin. Que sera I say. Time will tell in the end.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would whyte have came out wiv all this guff if the BBC weren't putting out this programme I seriously doubt it ,think he knows ther might b a bit of truth in it and it has touched a nerve with him.....DH

Agree1 Disagree0

To me that sounds like one hell of a fob off!

No answers there, just the same toe the line PR crap hes been spouting since he took over. That said we at celtic get the same thing the AGM being a prime example.

HE has never been able to come out and put any of the doubts to rest, surley someone who is confident of a positive outcome, who when under scrutiny could supply even some evidence to support his statements. But no , nothing just there is a concerted attempt to ruin the good Rangers name, or words to that effect.

Also the underwriting of 20m by 2016, thats the warchest is it not ? just named differently. If the situation were reversed and this was celtic, i would be extremley unhappy with this response, for so many reasons.

The BBC thing, if he has noting to hide then why would this bother him, he should feel confident in the fact that the chit chat is crap and it doesnt matter what the BBC say in their investigation! A pattern of behaviour? what pattern is this, the report on the news that was poorly edited, possibly by a Celtic fan possibly not and just a genuine error in editing. Not really a pattern of behaviour. As i said in another post before this is coming about as it is only the BBC that have been able to ask any awkward questions and he is prob becoming tired of it.

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

A Gers fan here
I think he is worried that the BBC will twist stuff and only give part truth which is all that is available at the moment. The BBC has done it before the interview with Mr MCcoist regarding old firm violence and sectarian trouble where they cut a piece of footage to make it look as AM had a laugh about it, when really the footage had been taken out of context to make the new manage out to be an idiot as for tax case i doubt there will be much said about this as no ones knows the outcome until the case has been to court and that includes Mr Whyte even if he does make vague and open sort of comment that really means sweet F A.

Agree0 Disagree0

All this business is starting to worry me as a Celtic fan ! He is defo a man with a plan..it may be his plan won't work out & backfire but from what I can see/hear, the way forward for Whyte is to take rangers out of the SPL. - chrissy

Hmmm just curious the sub text says "Lennon regained his air of defiance last night" and has pic of him with sticking up two fingers from both hands .... nothing else is really said about the matter tho ?

Germinator {Ed007's Note - Maybe they deserved it, or he was mocking Craig Whyte spitting his dummy out ;-0

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe lol ... or suggesting the highest position he thinks celtic can reach this year...... assuming 'well get some injuries

my best mate is james forrest and i play for forres mechanics. he told me last night that ki will be going to aston villa in january and hooper WANTS to go to newcastle. also we wont win the league because we are nowhere near as good as rangers. jelavic, davis, bocanegra.... their quality. c'mon neil sign some good players instead of the likes of ledley and cha du ri!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

What are u on about Ledley is a Star!! Really good player!!

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd have ledley in the middle of the park every game as he is the one who can make the team tick. As for Ki, Villa are welcome to him if we get the right money. He drifts in and out of games too much. He only has 1 good game in every 5. If Hooper wants to go and try his luck in the premiership he will go with my good wishes. He tried his best for Celtic, scored some goals and is attracting interest from the big league. Lets face it, Celtic are not the club they used to be due to the poor standard of the SPL. We can't sign anybody who could play for clubs in the bottom half of the EPL and are left to scour the English lower leagues to try and find a jewel. Lets start bringing the young boys through like Keatings, George and Watt. Lennoxtown has hardly been justified as yet.

Agree1 Disagree0

Did he fone u from France while he was sitting wiv his rangers pyjamas on ....DH

Agree1 Disagree0

Ledley is a decent player infact hes one of your better players has he ever played in the center for celtic thats his best position ?

Lets get this sorted if rangers go into administration they will be deducted 10 points unless they cant complete this seasons fixture list in which case they can be relegated (we know the second part wont happen) it makes no difference if they are put into admin for £1 or £100 million it is still 10 point deduction so as for the dreamers who think Rangers will get more points deduction depending on the level of debt they are in you are delusional. i realise that you must be thinking is 10 deduction enough for us to win the league well bhoys if it aint you really need to have a good look at your management team your players and your board.

lets be honest bhoys worst case scenario Rangers Admin all commercial contracts are null and void 10 points deducted lose the League to Celtic start next season debt free go into the champions League at the same stage as celtic as for players contracts as far as im aware the administrators cant force them to play for another team so their contracts would be made void therefore if they want to play for rangers new owner they can sign a new contract with them if they dont well they move on. after admin rangers should have more disposable cash for wages etc as no debt means no interest payments they would also be in control of comercial products like tops catering etc. so all in all a bit embarrassing but we could be in a lot stronger position than we are now.

Er Tony, were you not the one slating our Timalloy for talking about the tax case, and here is you with a long post about it. Looks like even the sceptics like Tony now see administration looming LOL Neil T

Tony a hypocrite ?! NEVER
"I am one Rangers who want you to stay in Europe at least up untill xmas"

"i said i dont want celtic to progress and if you are asking me am i bitter towards celtic Well YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT."

both post made on the same day !

think well call him Tonymalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, another deluded bluenose......so funny. Your club will not start from scratch next season, what will happen is if the courts find your filthy club guilty of tax evasion, you will owe every penny (£49m) to HMRC. The court will administer this and Whyte will demand his £18m back too as the primary creditor, that'll take you up to £70m.....assets will be sold, inferior, cheaper players will be brought in and the mighty Gers will toil for the foreseeable future....so sad! The club will continue to survive, granted, however your team will win nothing! Enjoy 4IAR! lol.......Miko

Good news for young Scottish footballers..ppfft :-

ENGLAND Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce and ENGLAND women's coach Hope Powell are named as Great Britain's Olympic football coaches for London 2012.

Lets see what the team looks like ?! - Chrissy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I cant be bothered doing too much research ( as usual lol) but are there not only so many professional paid footballers that you can have in the teams for the olympics? im sure was like this in the past when the likes of saviola was playing for argentina and he was like the star player of the whole olympic tournament? altho this may be beacuse everyone else said no. But this was when he was in the midst of his raise to fame and was the next marradona or batistuta ( he ruled)

so do they not have to mostly pick from the amateur ranks? or only have a 3 folk over 23 or something? never payed too much attention to olympic footie, or the olympics to be fair unless its the womens shot putt or the womens weightlifting pphwwooaaarrr lol .

If its the 3 over 23 rule it will obviously be someone like lampard, terry and rooney or beckham. Followed by stewart Pearces Under 21's a token welshman bale? and a token Irish/NI fellow dunno who and a token scot if the SFA allow em to play.

Beckham as captain ?
Wouldn't surprise me. Jack Wilshire said in the press that he would like to play, though Wenger would probably have kittens at the thought. Yeh, I'd like to see an U-21 type team, with a few older heads in. Charlie Adam for instance.

So whats everyone looking forward to the most this evening?? the game or the documentary? lol

I for one am the game, i will not say what i said before the Killie game, i said we were due a good performance lol so no more predictions from me !!

I just hope to all hell that they go out there and say right lets have a right good go, so what if we get beat, would rather get beat having a go than sitting in and defending, and this is the sort of statements that have been getting made by the likes of Mjalby this week. But i have been over this before also before the Athletico game, They seem to be resting a few players so surley this gives us more impetus to get right in their faces and show em what we can do! cos lets face it we have come nowhere near to some of the form we showed last year.

Fingers crossed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Evinguu..think i'll be taking every game as it comes this season. 5-1 Dundee Utd, 4-0 Motherwell and then the results I won't mention. Safe to safe Celtic will be staying off my coupon at the moment ! Really hope Saturday was a tunring point... Chrissy

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha chrissy youve got a good point, ive been getting slightly cheered up by my work colleague whos coupon has been ruined at the weekends cos of celtic, makes the weekends weve been poor easier to take lol

We are very Jekyl and Hyde in our performance, was noticible last year too where we were only ever playing for 45 mins a game, but getting the results. I think the diffreence is this year teams are saying wait a minute we can get at these guys, where as last year they were well lets sit back and hope we sneak a draw. Celtic arent coping well with teams who are coming out domestically to have a go at them (or even those intent on sitting back, infact anyone who is trying to play a match against them they generally struggle lol) cos they aint used to it. Not an excuse cos all teams should try and win. I just hope we can actually put in a decent performance tonight win lose or draw.

Wont hold my breath tho lol

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Serious lack of confidence... I really want Lennon to stay in some capacity but we're crying out for an experienced head.

Not had a coupon up all season !

Chrissy

Agree0 Disagree0

Me neither Chrissy, it's rippin ma knittin!
Got 4 aways for tonight, Anderlecht, PSV, Schalke and Braga......Miko

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not so sure its a lack of confidence anymore, maybe in defence with their lack of conviction. But it could be a case of overinfladed egos... over inflated egos i hear you say! in a footballer!! shock horror lol .

That said they dont play with a swagger that a cocky over confident buch would have kind of like Rangers have at times. So it could well be a lack of it. Or it could be just a huge lack of determination as i rekon 99% of the time they are going out expecting to win comfortably whilst trying to save their best for another time, and dont have the ability to turn it up a notch when its not quite going their way, Killie game is the exception here.

Remember at the turn of last year, the team were fantastic, they were pushing teams all over the park, and in a lot of cases they couldnt even get the ball out of their own half! that has gone, they back off, back off ,back off and then some more till we are sitting in so deep even a billionaire turnaround specialist couldnt help out ( see what i did there..... ok its a poor analogy lol)
