Cheers Geo,
Haven't you got a game against Elgin to worry about? Pure obsession!
And how exactly did (The) Rangers win?
Like to hear your reply with that one.

BigRab

Agree14 Disagree3

Hey Big Rab try and remember this is a banter page. The bears have had to put up with all sorts regading FTT over the past year and a bit since that blog started. Apart from that I would be more concerned about the result tonight and the loss of Wanyama for the Moskow game!!! {Ed007's Note - Banter or not, it's still a fair and civil question.}

Agree3 Disagree5

After Christmas we will still be in EUROPE raking in the ££££m's while newco will be in ELGIN ETC
what a bunch of fudds get real you're only kidding yourselves on and we know it GB Craig whyte :O)

Agree10 Disagree2

Geo...now you know how we felt when we beat Barcelona.

I mean its the same kinda thing, right ?

Mrs E

Agree6 Disagree2

Jeezus! One cracking result against Barca and suddenly it's a disaster we lost to Benfica away! We were narrowly beaten, but we had good spells against a quality European side. Let's get back down to earth with a bump, we lost against a team that are joint top of the Portuguese league, a far superior league to the SPL. We are lacking in quality opposition and have shown so when we can't even beat St J or Killie. Never mind the "European Hangover" BS, We have a squad more than capable of beating these teams. I still think we can do it against the Russians, but it's not going to be easy.
If not, we still have Euro footie after Christmas. Who would have thought it?

So the BTC didn't sink old historical Rangers after all it was Ally McCoist.
SDM sold Whyte a heavily indebted club to the tune if tens of millions for£1.
That club needed to win entry to champions league group stages to survive year on year (£20m extra to break even).
Ally McCoist failed to get into Group Stages and sunk the club.

Bear here, you will note that the tax case has been won. So it turns out all you tax experts from the East end knew nothing about it, what a surprise.

I presume you will now be man enough to apologise for the drivel and accusations of cheating.

Believable15 Unbelievable15

Of course it is cheating. It isn't against the law, as has been found out today, but is AGAINST SPL RULES, which could still see oldco stripped of titles

Agree1 Disagree0

Unbelievable decision from the two male member of the tribunal, clearly never were or intended to be loans.
Oldco Im afraid must now not be liquidated by BDO as £47.5m is officially owed by ex players and Directors. SDM OWES £6m alone.
Incidentally, these employer 'loans' should have gone through Glasgow bankers and not offshore tax free banks. That in itself is possibly illegal.
The Nimmo-Smith investigation is uneffected by this. Employer financial benefits to players hidden. No interest paid and no repayments.

Agree7 Disagree4

Haw haw haw lmfao haw haw haw
And bringing it out 2 hours before celtics big game haw haw
Still liquidated and a brand new club and all EBT beneficiaries legally bad debtors and should be listed on credit agencies as such.

Agree3 Disagree6

This needs to be appealed its clearly erroneous it's like southern judges in Mississippi burning.
But if they were loans why were they not through uk banks and tax paid on the loans? Why offshore? Why have they never been repaid? SDM owes £6m alone. Where's the tax on these loans?
So all clubs that didn't do EBTs now look stupid and lost titles to savvy Rangers? Nah...rubbish........ Liquidated regardless but this decision smells.

Agree6 Disagree5

Aye, congratulations mate!
You got liquidated, lost your club & history and humped innocent service providers and suppliers.
Do you think it was worth it?
God forgive, but If I was a bear tonight, I'd be pretty angry!

I'm hearing the First Tier Tax Tribunal FTTT did indeed land last month and the final tax amount owed by oldco rangers is a bit bigger than the £94.4m agreed between D&P and HMRC last month. More time more interest.
If it had gone in Rangers favour SDM, D&P, etc...... Would have all been in the press solely blaming Craig Whyte for the downfall of the club.
SDMs lawyers are getting paid well and keeping publication of the report back by arguing over certain wording. This is to buy SDM time to dream up some kind of angle. It has massive repercussions for his Murray Group. Paying these lawyers is throwing good money after bad. Get the result out there it's not going to change.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

I dont see what all the fuss is rangers will be liquidated and nothing will be paid back anyway ... green didnt buy whytes shares so he or his new club have nothing to do with rangers

Agree8 Disagree4

They have won the Big Tax case

Celtic are playing in the champions league tonight if you're interested.

At least they can get the loans repaid and pay the small companies they CHEATED out of money. CHEATS THEN, CHEATS NOW, CHEATS FOREVER

Hail Hail Hoops, we are playing in the Champions League tonight, they don't exist anymore, nothing to see here.

Right now lets's forget all about that new club across the city and get back to talking about the might Bhoys!! Enjoy the match ed HH {Ed007's Note - And you mate.}

Agree9 Disagree5

What happened, don't like the fact that the EBT decision didn't go the way you wanted? Now all you do is gloat about our liquidation instead. I am usually fairly even minded about Celtic and give credit when due, I have congratulated your team on the Barcelona result. But after reading some of the posts on here - i hope you humped out of the CL.

@8 guaranteed european football after christmas. enjoy elgin and dont be getting to obsessed. it was only the btc your old club won. best of luck for the future and good luck winning your first trophy

Agree5 Disagree3

Let me get this right. The Ger's win the big tax case and the SPL still see fit to probe the possibility of dual contracts ...mmmm. SPL knew all along that the Ger's were running EBT's which makes it pretty clear to me that they only reacted to possible DC once they thought that ther Ger's would lose the BTC. So much for sporting integrity. VHSS

Agree2 Disagree2

Something tells me that the decision on the Big Tax Case will garner a full investigation into HMRC and why they opted to go after Rangers FC. I'm affraid this is far from over. VHSS

Please correct me if you think I am wrong.

But I am surprised by the amount of unbelievable clicks on many of the posts.

Does this mean we are being infiltrated by jealous Div 3 Newco Fans.

I am not saying that all Newco fans are jealous, just the thick ones who cant see past their own bias.

Not really what I was expecting to read this morning about Celtic lol

'Popular hip hop artist and actor Snoop Dogg wants to buy a share in Celtic after watching them beat Barcelona earlier this month.

The rapper has discussed his plan with David Beckham and claims he'll get the former England captain into a Celtic jersey'

Mrs E

Former England captain David Beckham is leaving Los Angeles Galaxy next month after six years at the American Major League Soccer (MLS) club.

lol. do you know somthing Mrs E.

I don't like too put a damper on a day of such importance but I can see tough times for Celtic the fact is I believe the green brigade before the Celtic board or police fact is when the Celtic fans unite the board is fu,,ed and on on ther way out I personally think ther will be a lot of big business men sitting watching this with great interest so Lowell and mc dirmide be warned and make the right choices as the fans own this club even though it's yous that pocket the money So too the green brigade I'm behind ya

First off...Celtic is a business.

Going back to the AGM last week one member asked for us not to share a sponsor with any other team or even sponsor a charity instead ?

Banker said us having (ie tennents) brings in money how much I don't know but this money helps run the club.

Me personally this guy like many other people don't want to share a sponsor deal with 'sevco'.now we don't have money growing on trees so for this I think it's a bad idea to cut our noses off not to share a sponsor with 'any other team' whether next time round the sponsor might say well we want to just sponsor Celtic and no one else that's their choice not ours.

Also about GB,a member asked if the board could back then more when involed with the police said of things but can't remember what the outcome was it couldn't have been great due to mr not remembering lol Neil Lennon gives them credit so it's only fair the board do too not just for one game against barca

Tonight ..... Before a ball is kicked and see the team sheet would bite the hand off for a draw hopefully a win though

I do love them and what they bring as most do,BUT, they are not bigger then the club, for it is the club that we have all followed for 125years and which have given us lots of great memories. The green brigade do have eyes on them, as they lead the fans, but I do agree about the police. Remember last year we were having charges against fans for nothing while the rankers mob heard on tv singing there vile.
Don't want this to get out of hand when the club is doing so well and the world now looks at us, so let's keep the peace(fans and gb) and let us not start chosing between them and the club.

Just want to wish the Bhoys all the best for tonight. I am in Singapore and have heavy meeting in morning (probably sleep through it as I wont get much tonight) I just hope we are not talking about another Glorious defeat. Qualifying (and beating Barca in the process) will rattle a few cages in Europe. Hail Hail.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Its a dispute between STV and ITV. STV wont pay for their own sporting events, Hence why we get the English teams on Champions League Night. STV wont pay for FA Cup or England Internationals, so we get hit with endless episodes of Midsummer Murders

my opinion on league reconstruction

it a load of rubbish we dont need to change the leagues

just introduce playoffs between spl and div 1

its simple and easy to introduce

if you had to make a change it would be to change the league cup format and/or give it a european spot
