Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

20 May 2019 20:40:43
Now we are leading up to cup final I predict that come Friday the big leak will come out and new manager/ DOF will be named? To try put everyone off at Celtic from winning the cup. Just my opinion.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

20 May 2019 20:49:11
Said this earlier on rumour page rich wouldn't surprise me mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 May 2019 21:06:53
The media can only announce the new manager or DOF's name if it's leaked by someone from within the club. Why would anyone from Celtic want to put Celtic off winning the treble?

Agree2 Disagree0

20 May 2019 21:20:36
I would not be surprised. I have been checking out the odds for the job Lennon has never outside the top 4 names tipped for the job with Rafa there too could it be possible we could actually get Rafa? For me I think it’s down to either Lennon or Rafa. What do use guys think Eds?

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 22:12:23
ye kev think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 22:35:54
There is always a 'story' before a big game and there will be some sort of attempted distraction/ scandal printed before Friday.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 22:46:32
Ritch T there’s no chance Rafa Benitez is coming to Celtic mate! I see Uve mentioned it a few times on here but please spare urself the disappointment mate. rafa Mourinho and I seen Sutton mentioned Allegri from Juve today! This is Scotland we’re in lads and these guys will not come here! One we can’t afford there wage,2 we couldn’t afford there transfer budgets and 3 our league is mediocre at best! Not having a go at all just let’s get a bit of realism eh!

Agree6 Disagree0

21 May 2019 07:09:52
Originally I had guessed that Lennon would be announced this week after the league was wrapped up. Not something I particularly wanted, but with talk of David Moyes I'd have Lenny in a heartbeat over him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 08:11:27
So if not a Rafa or JM where do we really start to look at Moyes or give the job to Lennon. I might be living in coo coo land there is nothing wrong with trying to do better showing ambition like we did with Rodgers I would like to think that the board may have that same ambition but we will see?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 10:08:15
It's not whether the board show ambition. Its whether these names want to come to us. Sutton has said we approached JM but it ain't going to happen. I would have preferred Clarke over Lennon personally, but prefer both to Moyes. I wouldn't mind a bilic, Houghton or bielsa. I think being realistic bielsa is my preferred choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 10:39:22
Anno bielsa done well elsewhere but his age and the language us he's just failed to get Leeds even into the play offs so not sure the of the clamour for this guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 10:46:38
Lennon has been in job before, won 3 leagues with zero competition, failed big time in cup competitions, football was dire and he failed to really inspire the fans or the team.
I can’t see how he will be any better now plus we have much stronger competition from across the city.
He’s had his day, time for different direction.
Moyes? He’s had years of managing in a high quality competitive league at a level Lennon will never be offered.

If forced to choose between the two it would be moyes for me.

Agree4 Disagree0

21 May 2019 14:38:08
You obviously haven't really thought this through have you?

If that information was leaked, it would need to be leaked from within the club. So someone in the club would do this to try and disrupt the cup final preparations.

I cannot believe that some people would be such avid conspiracy theorists that they would even suggest this.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 14:39:20
I think someone of the calibre of AVB or Rafa could be tempted by the lure of having a chance to get big European clubs' attention again by taking us on a run in Europa or get some results in Champs League like Strachan or Lennon did before the game went totally mad financially.

The safety of us having a low interest in domestic cups next year and the budget we fans feel the board should invest to secure the 10 might be a good carrot.

One of these guys would be guaranteed a couple of medals plus a choice for their next big job. I might be too optimistic but it's an attractive job for managers who can't get an EPL top 6 gig.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 19:23:43
Seen that wee dembele kid awesome next week would love to beat u lot but what a thing to do the treble treble would not feel bad if u lot won think u will we are mince and would be great to see a treble but sorry lads ma wife and family are tic fans have to hope we can do it.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

20 May 2019 21:10:19
Kenny, it’s a cup final. I know we go in as strong favourites but I also remember as an 8 year old in 1971, lying on the couch in tears listening to the commentary on the radio as Patrick Thistle demolished Celtic in the League Cup final. That Celtic team had Jimmy Johnstone, Kenny Dalglish, Bobby Murdoch, Tommy GemmilLou Macari, George Connolly in it. It was only a year after we’d humbled the mighty Leeds Utd in the semi final of the big cup. I hope we do complete the treble treble on Saturday as it’s something special that will probably never be repeated but I’m taking nothing for granted. Whatever happens, enjoy the game and let’s hope everyone goes home safely.

Agree3 Disagree0

21 May 2019 14:39:24
Anything can happen in a cup game, but I don't think there will be any upsets this time.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 19:21:48
Not sure where the moyes talk came from but surely we must look away from the usual candidates

David turnbull would be someone we should snap up as soon as possible. Energy, goals, can pick a pass and knows the league. Would be crazy to miss out on him.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

20 May 2019 19:33:42
Good call Kieran, I suggested turnbull a few weeks ago scores a lot from midfield could be a real steal 👍.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 21:08:08
The more dross that Ntcham serves up leads me to think why not take Porto's money and bring in Turnbull with a bit to spare.

Agree0 Disagree1

21 May 2019 03:02:00
Definitely looks a talent Chris. In the ideal scenario would be buy him and loan them Mikey for 6 months/ year now that Hastie is away

Ntcham showed glimpses of what he’s capable of again on Sunday but not consistent enough this year. He’s still young and there’s certainly a great player there.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2019 08:50:29
He’s a talent - keep him.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 18:09:40
Wouldn't mind Moyes in as a DOF IF we bring in a decent head coach.

Lennon is too hot headed, which at times can be a good thing, but there's been too many instances of him falling out with players and not treating player correctly.

Bring in a good coach to deal with the team and let Moyes deal with the transfers.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

20 May 2019 18:54:18
Lennons subs tactics and selections are bizarre IF he was still at Hibs would we be wanting him?!?

Agree2 Disagree0

20 May 2019 19:14:16
I wouldn't have Moyes in to clean the bogs. Moyes could be the rests best chance of stopping the 10, when was the last time this guy had any kind of success? On top of that he has in the past shunned us and is as charismatic as a brick. Just no no no no 😠😠😠.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 May 2019 20:06:39
Lenny has been calmer in the dug out than I've ever seen him.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 May 2019 20:07:33
Moyes and Lennon might even split the dressing room as much as the support going by mixed opinions and comments.

Robdoc, I imagine the Board will decide who they want as manager based on facts and not on rumours started by anti Lennon critics .
Although I think N L could well be one of the best men for the job, I hope he doesn't get it as too many fans have already decided he isn't the right man for the job and will give him and the team dog's abuse even if he is winning the games .
I just couldn't go on to Celic Social media with so much negativity in it.

Agree2 Disagree1

21 May 2019 06:35:47
If you look at Moyes signings in the past it's clear he can uncover a gem fellaini, mirallas, seamus Coleman, Leighton baines etc.

Lennon's tactical ability is lacking as we've seen in recent games and the only reason he's been "calm in the dugout" as you say mally is clearly because he's been told he isn't getting the job.

Chris, I don't think it's rumours started my anti Lennon supporters. If it is then there's been anti Lennon supporters at every club he's managed who all happen to come up with very similar stories and manage to get players and staff to confirm it.

As much as I love lenny for what he's done for the club, he's not the man to take the club forward. However, this new look setup of a DOF and head coach is working elsewhere in Europe so why not give it a go?

After that magic performance yesterday I’d have too say only a few tweaks needed for next season, Johnstone looks amazing so quick for me next year he might cement that lw position,

Gk Bain - doolan - hazard
Lb tierney- new cover
Cb simonovic-ajar-benkovic? -new cb
Rb- new rb- ralston
Cm mcgregor-eboue-natchm-Henderson -brown
Cam Christie- rogic
Rw Forrest-shved-dembele
Lw Johnstone-arzani- Sinclair
Striker-eddy-griff-bayo-new striker.
4 quality players in, Sinclair can leave too and won’t need replacing, if rogic leaves maybe a new cam, I can’t wait for the summer window and the start of next season.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

20 May 2019 11:55:26
We need a new CAM. Rogic can’t last 60 minutes never mind a full season. Dembele isn’t ready for full first team exposure. Johnston isn’t prepared for 90 minutes every week. Bayo will likely leave. We need at least 2 new centre backs.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 12:06:35
How you can say yesterday was a magic performance is mind-blowing it was everything an end of season meaningless game was only lit up by 2 great individual goals from Mikey.
Roll on next week and hopefully win the treble then rip that team apart and bring on some vibrant attacking football please whoever the manager is as we can't keep regressing with our current slow build up play.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 May 2019 13:56:53
It wasn't a magic performance and how you can justify saying Sinclair can go baffles me.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 14:04:49
The form of ntcham Johnstone and young dembelle were excellent and bitton had a good game as did Henderson in flashes benkovic was good as well so there was plus points.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 15:13:15
Mind we have, Gutman and Perez still to come in.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 16:25:23
I stand by my comments I thought it was a great game we were playing high tempo compared to the slow play in previous game I enjoyed the game when in the last 4-5 games I’ve just about fallen asleep, as for dembele not being ready that’s why I’ve listed him as 3rd choice as rw and why wouldn’t we let Sinclair go? He’s got one year on his contract and isn’t as good as Johnstone in my opinion or heyes or Arzani so why keep him as the highest earner I’d sell if offer comes in, all got your opinions as Jane I but I stick by everything I’ve said, rogic I agree also but Christie is first choice cam and rogic is good at coming on to influence games if we have an injury in this area we can easily put in shved or Forres in the cam position so I don’t see a need for another one, Bayo won’t leave he’s not had a chance for god sake give the boy a break if he fails to impress during pre season and doesn’t get a game fair enough but I think the boy has to be given a run.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 18:26:15
Nonsense Sinclair is far better than Johnstone, his stats back that up. Your talking bollocks about Arzani being better, he has not even lasted 1 full game. Is it because he has a fancy foreign name you think he is better?

Agree1 Disagree1

20 May 2019 19:19:24
😂 Sinclair is pants, and Johnstone ran a mock on Saturday something I’ve not seen Sinclair do this season so it’s you that’s talking bollox wee man 😆, also One look at arzani in reserve league and brief first game shows me he is far more dangerous than sinky, heyes can cross and run something Sinclair hasn’t done much of after his first season, that was his peak then he’s been balls ever since, I couldn’t care about you stats, stats say kris Boyd is the best striker to ever grace Scottish football so awa n spout stats to someone who cares, Sinky was struggling to get a game under Rodgers in the end he’s lazy and one dimensional end off.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 May 2019 20:37:21
Chrisbhoy, Mikey Johnstone will be a real
Asset in a years time, he needs to hit the gym. He was posted missing in the last 2 games against them at ibrokes. The game yesterday was a typical end of season game which someone like Mikey can shine in. Sinclair is doubled up on time and time again and he still gets goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 21:32:39
Chrisbhoy I think you've been smelling pants the nonsense you've posted on this thread.

Some people are spoiled by Celtic's success in the last 8 yrs and last three in particular . For the 8 year in succession we celebrated winning the SPL and we have people moaning and groaning . I don't know off any team celebrating 8 Championships in a row and still going on to win more .
Surely this isn't time to fault individual players but we should praise the team . One idiot in the stand constantly hurled abuse at our on loan left back.

Great day today.
Wee dumbelle omg I wanted him to take that free kick. Lols.
Ajer should do more of running through players it will come.
So broonie interview lots leaving end of season. Did you see the size of the Celtic squad wage bill has to be halfed
Bain pissed me off that was a rookie mistake he should have known better.
Now let's Finnish it next week I want dumbelle on the bench. Had to watch the game today on you know where I could not believe they stayed with Celtics celebrations at the end.
