If my sums are right then lee Griffiths is only 41 goals from overtaking Kris boy's total lee is on 127 goals for all his Scottish teams Boyd has scored 167.

Kris Boyd held the record for SPL top scorer but obviously that's no longer a league. The highest scorer in the new Scottish Premiership is Kris Commons.

Although I now see that you wrote "total" and not "record" lol.

Don't go in for all that nonsense. Soz but the top league is the top league no matter what u call it.
If we were to do that then greats like McGrory, Lennox etc would never get mentioned.

Only a few games tonight so easier to choose. Not great odds but Liverpool should beat Exeter ( yes not hard to choose that lol) go over 2.5 goals also. With the news that the Edinburgh club have no fit goalkeeper going big on EK Thistle at 1/ 2, again also go over 2.5 goals and BTTS also.
In Leicester-Spurs game I fancy a draw but I am also having a wee nibble on Leicester 10/ 1 on penalties. For them to win in extra time is 12/ 1, same as Spurs and also 10/ 1 Spurs on penalties. If you think game will go to extra time you could hedge your bets by taking either team in extra 6/ 1 or either team on penalties at 5/ 1.
Not doing my usual bet on Barcelona as Messi, Neymar and Suarez all not playing. Although I stil think penalty in that game is a certainity, but my money is tied up in games above in Cup in England and Scotland.

So was at the game last night with the girls and was impressed by the football played and the quality of some of the goals, albeit against a poor Hamilton side that stood back and allowed us to play.
Only disappointment was not keeping a clean sheet but the boy took his goal well.
We seem to always play well after Christmas, don't know if it is because the pressure of playing in europe is off but our attitiude is miles better.
Hope we bed in at least one more new player for our CL qualifiers, a player ready and able to step right in to our team.
I am not Ronnie's biggest fan, but I hope he can finally get us through these tricky qualifiers and into the CL group stages and give us fans the chance to see the top european teams once again gracing Celtic Park.

ED can u tell me why the hell we're after another midfielder! Reading this croation boys in Glasgow! It's a striker we need for f*ck sake!

{Ed007's Note - It's no ma fault! ;(

I think he's a holding midfielder. We do need cover for this area.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ a know that ED! Just wanted to see what your thinking was about it. just seems like we're totally over loaded in the midfield even before this boy comes in! It's a strange one.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe it's in preparation for players leaving in the summer.}

20 Jan 2016 16:46:43
Why the hell would we want a striker when we scored 8 goals in our last game?, ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 17:18:55
Especially given mgregor recent performances in that area . Allen looked good last night also . henderson possibly the best when he returns . but the boy is a freebie so nt much of a financial risk but would prefer an attacking / goalscoring mid . maybe the ellounousi tumours are correct and we are going for him getting this boy free leaves cash available? And all the strikers we've been linked to are giants and not of they sorts are usually run of the mill.

We have improved dramatically this month and there is no doubt we have our confidence back and have hit some great attacking form.
Griffiths has fully recovered from injury and there are a few more who are really impressing and imposing themselves in games.
However, we have not won a trophy just yet and we just can't ignore the inconsistency and disappointments of the first half of the season and players who have under performed or are surplus to requirement and there is still work to do.
I applaud the manager and team for recent results and style of play and I hope we continue to impress and flourish domestically and improve the calibre and quality of players on the park.

22 Jan 2016 23:04:27
J J 2 it wouldn't be that easy for us to have a trophy just yet and no level of consistency would have change that .

Wasn't terribly enthused by the Falk link anyway tbh. If we got Elyounoussi in this window and lose a few more who aren't contributing I'd be chuffed.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 15:36:34
Yeah I really hope we can lose a few of the guys that don't cut it get them off the wage bill Elyonoussi would be a great signing.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 15:51:49
Elyounoussi seems to have far more of an end product and is younger I believe. Falk has something like 2 goals this season, he was basically going to be a decent punt due to the askin fee. Elyounoussi would be a really good signing, much more like what us fans have been asking for. We know we can't get fully established internationals from the top leagues but we can at least take the better players from some of the lesser teams who have a bit of CL/ EL experience.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 16:50:13
It is just as hard to get rid of those who are not contributing to the squad as it is to sign players who we hope are going to contribute .

It is chris. Who wants to pay for a player who can't get a game in the SPFL after all. Was hoping somebody in the Netherlands or Belgium might pick up Derk. Mulgrew to Bolton and a permanent deal for Scepovic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - This window could be the one we finally see the back of Boerrigter - if we finalise a pay off.}

20 Jan 2016 19:33:03
The balls in his court Ed unless we just offer him what he'd be owed. Would be best the player and club cooperate and just find him a suitor and just wave any transfer fee. If that's a done thing.

Everyone who critises RD is not a serco supporter or anti celtic. We don't see things through green tinted specs. He is tactically niave and has failed miserably in Europe His buying policy is hapazard and lacks stucture.
Last season we pulled away from everyone at this time too and but for a poor goalkeeping decision we would have won the treble.
But let's us be clear scottish football is very poor perhaps at an all time low standard. No one is going to stop us winning the league and we should win the cups but for stupid mistakes. Any one of us here could have managed Celtic to the League title in the last 3 Years. So do not slate us for bringing a sense of realism to the debate rather convince us by produceing a strong arguement.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

20 Jan 2016 09:09:49
How can you blame a poor goalkeeping decision for not winning the treble?!, they should of had a man sent off and we should of had a penalty and before Gordon is to blame let's start with Commons for his poor lazy corner, why was only one defender back for the corner, why were caley allowed so easily to run from they're box to ours, half our team are to blame before the ball even gets to Gordon.

Maybe you should watch the goal again!

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 09:47:21
Who's saying you're anti-celtic or Sevco supporters? I love this 'tactically naive' carry on. According to some every manager we have had has been tactically naive.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Jan 2016 12:46:04
You will always get bad refereeing decisions and bad corners but a manager decides who goes up for corners and who stays back and if Gordon had allowed the player to go past him and score we could still have come back to win with 11 men but by giving away a penalty and being reduced to 10 men it was always going to be much harder. Making the right decisions by a management team and the players on the park is the difference between average teams and very good ones.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Jan 2016 14:49:14
So Zidane for head butting the Italian defender matteratzi in the world cup final makes him poor average.?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 15:24:41
It cost them the world cup and he never played again for France that says it all.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Zidane had already announced his retirement from playing before the World Cup so what happened in the final had no bearing on him never playing for France again - he never played for anyone again.}

20 Jan 2016 15:45:33
Jonace Are you having a giraffe?! so what your saying is Gordon should just of stood there and not even tried to get the ball, what goalkeeper in his right mind would just let someone score without attempting to stop it, he should of done better but so should the rest of the team and to solely blame it on him is absurd. Even the best players and teams in the world make poor decisions on and off the pitch. of course you will always get bad refereeing decisions but that was ridiculous, if i remember correctly there was four of them what had a good view of the player and ball. the sooner TV reply's are introduced the better.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 16:56:39
Jonace, some may think you are a little harsh and fond of criticising, poor Ciftci got it after our 8-1 victory last night .
It must have been a long night, very hard to watch the game last night for all those who want R D out.

20 Jan 2016 17:27:34
Oldbhoy, guestion does winning 8-1,mean Celtic are really, really, really good or does it mean Hamilton are really, really bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 18:34:59
Dear oh dear Old Bhoy yet another stupid argument from you. You are saying once again that Celtic supporters want the team to get beaten so Ronnie gets the sack? You just don't get it. I believe all Celtic supporters want the team and Ronnie to do fantastic but some of us believe that Ronnie just ain't got it and it will take more than a win over Hamilton no matter the score to persuade many of the support that he is the man for the job. Let's see at the season where we are and how we fare in the CL qualifiers because if we fail to qualify yet again then there is no where for him to go apart from out the door. So supporters are not wanting Celtic to lose because of Ronnie, but many of the supporters are realists Unlike yourself who holds the Hamilton result up as proof of what a great job he is doing.

Johnnymac, to often you post negative post abiout RD, even after the team play brilliantly, you mighten know it yourself but as a continuous nagger at RD in particular and players in general, you portray yourself as a contrary old Celt that is never satisfied . Last night was a night to enjoy Celtic and have a smile on your face .
