Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

While I really want us to sign a striker that can hold up the ball and play with his back to the goal, I just read a report saying Tammy Abraham could be available for 10m in January. YES it's a lot of money but I say go get him Celtic although I don't think there is any chance of it happening.

Thought Ralston and young Mickey played very well last night šŸ‘ŒšŸ’ššŸ€HH.

Would be a quality signing for me. Just what we need. We got 20m for Dembele so transfer fee wouldn't be an issue if the 10m is correct. 50k a week though in wages. Edouard just in the pocket behind Abraham coyld cause serious damage and wpuld be a great combination going forward.

Couldn't agree more Jim.

Edouards hold up play for the first goal last night was class. Itā€™s didficult to do anything with the ball when there are no midfielders in support. Thatā€™s why he struggled against Hibs and Salzburg because our midfield were non existent. Give him to the end of the season and he will have improved fourfold. Absolutely doubting one of our best young players. 20 years old and scoring goals + getting assists.

20 Dec 2018 18:28:22
I'm not doubting him Ken no way I think he is a fantastic talent and glad we have him, I'm just saying we could really do with a striker that can play with his back to the goal and maybe bully defenders.
The type of guy that when we are whipping great balls in the box from wide area's they will go in where it hurts and get on the end of things.
That sadly just isn't part of his game just now although it could be in the future. Sometimes I think people forget that this kid came straight from PSG youth team basically.

20 Dec 2018 19:45:22
Not doubting him either stuck up for him already this season and will continue to. A fantastic young talent. I just think he causes more problems in from the left asking different questions of defenders. We looked great with him and Dembele together and I think signing somebody like Abraham wpuld replicate that. Probably better it actually for me. It would still be a big ask though royjac as you say. Shy bairns get nowt but I could easily see EPL interest in him.

20 Dec 2018 20:34:06
Agreed JimTim, before we lost Dembele, he and Edouard looked frightening together. I think the plan was to play like that this season, maybe that's the reason our form dipped at the beginning, as we had to find a plan B.

If we get a striker of a similar style to the Moose, then Edouard will thrive I'm sure. The thought of him and Forrest on either side of a quality target man is mouth watering.

Still think we should have called Moussas bluff and held onto him until the end of the season, think he would have knuckled down once he realised he was going nowhere, it upset Celtics season the way he left, and it didn't do him any good career wise, although it ballooned his bank balance, but that is in the past, I think it would be the worst thing for Celtic to do, to sign someone getting, and expecting to get these obscene wages, Ā£50,000 a week?, does no one else notice the hypocrisy?, food banks, hospital wards not opened, because they can't afford to open them,

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Dec 2018 09:57:20
If someone isnā€™t happy with the level of wages we currently pay at Celtic, it would say enough about them that I wouldnā€™t want them near the club.

We need to send big balls of cotton wool to Brendan to wrap our players up in. Especially when the refs are allowing the opposing teams to kick the #hit out of them.

Bobby the MadHun is by far, the most corrupt official in Scottish football. The man is so blatantly biased, his perceived incompetence cannot be the reason for some of his decisions. That can ony be explained by a man with an agenda.

Call me paranoid? You bet I am when that clown has the whistle.

20 Dec 2018 13:33:22
You just know whenever we get a physical team it's always one of the hun refs that gets the game and allows us to be kicked all over the park.

Just reading that Rogic will miss old firm game due to Australia demanding he fly out day before to join their camp for Asian Cup.

Same happening with Hibs (Boyle and Milligan) for Edinburgh derby. Apparently failing to release player would break FFP rules!?

Is there literally nothing the club (that pay his wages) can do about this?

20 Dec 2018 12:27:16
Not the worst news considering his recent form.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Dec 2018 13:01:53
It's true he his form been patchy to say the least, but he caould have come up with a goal as he has done in these games before.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2018 13:28:31
Heā€™s been a major player for us in these games. If I was the manager, Iā€™d be saying to Rogic, youā€™ve got a big decision to make.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2018 14:31:25
Rogic only plays about 10 good games a season but always seems to do it against Sevco. Hopefully young Christie will be fit for the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2018 15:03:19
Has he had 10 good games in his career?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2018 16:16:08
Bit harsh of Rogic I think. he's scored some important goals for us, namely against the sevvies and of course the winner in the Scottish Cup final. Could be more consistent but then so could most of the squad.

20 Dec 2018 21:14:33
I don't think he has been that bad lads. Fine in both the Salzburg and hibs match l agree but everyone was poor there. When Celtic had the recent good run of games when the midfield changed he was flying. He is never going to be you guy for tackling like mad but look for a guy who has the killer pass and he's your man. Very harsh with the 10 good games in his career. The guy scored in all old firm games last season and cup final goals.

Major plus last night was young Ralston.
Had very good game. Defended well, got forward well, lovely finish and handled the physical battle with sammon.
I would like to see him get the next game as well for a couple reasons
1 the game time will do him a world of good
2 it gives lustig more rest, which he ain't really had in a while
I would love this to be the emergence of another long term player from our academy.

Be wary of playing young Ralston at Ibrokes, we need our experienced campaigners for that game, we should ease the lad in .

Agree about Ralston - (mentioned him below with a lot of credit) ; however, I was very impressed with the whole outfield ten last night, with Broony and the team back to their best after a rusty show on Sunday playing some great football and also defending so well, I don't think they even had a shot at Gordon all night - who still has difficulty finding team mates - even with slow deliberate kick-outs.
Anyway; great display and back to the top, even though Lennon's team shot their bolt on Sunday, Sevco showed they're rank at best.

As usual I have got to mention the establishment rep - in this case Madden - and it's easy to complain when they affect games with big decisions or we drop points controversially, but last night he allowed numerous heavy tackles from behind on Forrest, McGregor, Benkovic and Johnstone in particular - waving play-on. The first Motherwell player booked was not until 69 minutes and this is not the first time this season I have seen referees allow rough treatment against us go unpunished - even encouraged? and I expect more of the same in the months to come.

Yet another injury blow last night; one-a-game these days and I hope Eddy is not to serious? I read that we have several missing players back in training and that is encouraging.
We may have to play with Sinclair, or Forrest up front, but although we may lack height and power, we do have the skill, flair and ability to win the next three games, playing the way we do and go into the break in a great position - to strengthen from in the January window.

You sure Ed? I read we'd still have him for Pittodrie.

{Ed007's Note - The Australian squad have to report at their training camp on the 26th so he would need permission from their FA to arrive late.}

Literally the two teams Rogic always appears to be in top form against as well! Ragin.

Good Morning Bhoys! Not posted in a while but still a regular viewing the comments. I'm not normally a fan of buying players from other teams in Scotland but I must say I've been very impressed with the young guy at Hibs Ryan Porteous. For a 19yrd old he has been a stand out in the games I've watched involving Hibs and at 19 he is definitely worth a look. People are talking about Scott McKenna but I prefer the Porteous imo. HH.

20 Dec 2018 08:28:42
Our injury list is horrendous. Motherwell got to kick us with impunity last night as most of these teams do. Understand teams have got to be aggressive and in our faces to compensate there football ability but the refs have to be stronger.

Young Ralston played well. Love to see or full backs bomb forward. Thought he should have been booked for his foul on Forrest. Talk about clearing your lines.

Emilio izaguirre came to Celtic 2010 and deservedly
Was footballs Scottish players and writers, player of the year this was a player who had great pace and bombed up and down the wing great at tackling, and great crosser of the ball, always ready to take a man on, and great positional sense Emilio was injured at home in season 2011/ 12 and came back NOT the same player through no fault of his own, yes he was ok last night, I see critical views of some of our players and it's a case of some of our fans having short memories and yes we tend to wear our hearts on our sleeve, but make no mistake 10 in row is going to get very harder as will any European ties it will come down to fine measures and I believe izzy would be better in the coaching side of our club However in the end analysis In Brendan we Trust.
