Simpson
McGrain VVD John Clark, KT
MCSTAY CONNOLLY AULD
JOHNSTONE DALGLISH LENNOX
OT
BORUC
MCGRAIN VVD CAESAR GEMMELL
MORAVCIC MURDOCH BURNS
LARSSON CHALMERS LENNOX

Great to mix and match the old and new. These are footballing teams that have skill, speed and bite. Could be on here all night using other names. I have chosen Bobby Lennox as he was fast and deadly, always underrated. Just highlights how many stars we have seen. Good to see other choices/.

Just left the stadium, for me our second string is a long way short of the first team players that they are stepping in for. We need to sign 2 or 3 first team ready players to give us a stronger squad to pick from.

Totally agree dafabet. gamboa mcgregor even Henderson for me ain't good enough, add into that Mackay Steven and there's still a lot of deadwood to get rid of! That's before we even start on ambrose boyata and Ciftci! But Brendan knows what he wants and needs to bring in, and I trust him to do that! With the amount of games we've had lately we were always going struggle a wee bit at some point! And with the constant squad rotation it was always going to be difficult to try and gel! Get through these games until the January break and add 1 or 2 in the window, we'll be good to go again!

I am sure BR realizes he inherited a surplus of mediocrity that do not measure up to his standards - and definitely not CL quality.
However, we do have a strong nucleus of maybe five/ six that have excelled most of the season and a couple more that are improving.
He has only had one 'window' to work with and there will be a clear-out at the end of this season and one or two beforehand.
The performances have been erratic because of the changes - and the changes have been forced because of the ridiculous fixture schedule and when the likes of Tierney, Forrest, Rogic return and Sinclair is fully match fit, we will have a full squad and settled side to kick on after the winter break.
The good news is we are 17 points clear and unbeaten - even when we have not been at our best and that is an excellent effort all round and we know when we do get back to our best, there is nobody here, to touch us - and we will get even better in 2017.

Look the amount of games we've been playing in a short space of time was always gonny have a knock on effect, players are starting to show a bit of tiredness, remember we've played about 20 more games than everybody else let's just get to the winter break hopefully still unbeaten and you'll see us go again HH.

Yes there is some deadwood, but think your being a bit harsh mate. The number of games played recently, plus the fact of a changed team, playing a stubborn thistle on a cold wet night.
I think motivation Is a big thing too, when the league is a canter, and Europe is finished with.

Was thinking today about that old chestnut my best ever Celtic 11 over 50 plus years. Amazing how many of them are fairly recent. To qualify what I've said-KT is in progress to be the best left back I've seen since the best right back I've seen. No need to name him one Daniel Fergus McGrain. In my opinion VVD is potentially the best centre half I've seen along with Paul Elliot and that's with no disrespect to Big Billy. Larsson would always be up front with Dalglish and Wee Jimmy would always be on the wing. McStay would always be in the middle of the park for me but gave up trying to figure out who with. And what a talent Morevick was-possibly the most naturally gifted player I've ever seen at Celtic Park. After Mr. Stein Tommy Burns would be my next choice as manager and it's up to Mr Rodgers to prove me wrong! I gave up trying to figure out where to play Lennox, Hay or Sutton or Hartson etc. and many others. I give up-it's too hard a question 🍀.

VVD McNeill elliott (3 at the back)
mcstay collins johnstone archdeacon moravcik

I always find these comparisons and compilations difficult because like you, I have been lucky enough to have seen numerous great players in many successful teams and periods.
It's even more difficult to appraise them collectively considering the periods they played in and the factors - like caliber of opponent, number of games per season and other circumstances.
The Lions - incorporating the 'nine-in-a-row' players will always set the benchmark for my best Celts, but we have certainly had many stars and entertainers that attracted and delighted the support ever since.

My Ipad can be quite tempermental but I always go to google. type in the game followed by live stream VIP box (celtic v partick thistle live stream vip box) .

Make sure you click the second or third link down with Celtic v Partick Thisle in title.

That should work and bring game up automatically. If it does not load there is a box for more links to game at the top which tends to just refresh the page.

I do it right on KO as before it never tends to work.
