Ttb, your'e right about the lack of money for the old firm, but i think it could be a very good thing for scottish football in the long run. The young players from our youth teams will hopefully get a chance, and i would always give them a chance over highly paid, average, players from other leagues. I would love to see five or six players from our youth team, playing regularly, i think we give up on them far to quickly without looking at the long term. I always thought we let simon ferry go without giving him a chance, a right gallus wee player, anyways i hope i am right and the national team could benefit as well.

Some of the rumours on here are nuts, plus David Templeton boyhood heroes Hearts? What utter garbage! Now I can guarantee that's not true. I know his family personally, not his dog or next door neighbours parrot! His boyhood team was Celtic, hes loving it at Hearts at the moment and not looking for a move anywhere. His families only fear is him moving down south as they wouldn't see him as much! Now that is a FACT not a rumour!

doesnt realy matter what team are his boyhood team at the end of the day he won't play for celtic or rangers he will move down south to the epl if he keeps his curent form up. you might know his family personaly but that doesn't mean you know whare he will move to.

also for the other one about whats a rangers fan doing on a celtic rummor forum. well like most pepole i enjoy a good laugh and some of the names that have been mentioned on hear are realy funny like given keane o'shea o'hara anton ferdinand duff van wolfswinkle (spelling) ireland the list goes on and on rangers or celtic will never in the next 5-10 years sing players of this calibre unless it is on a 6 month loan but even that is pushing the boat out to get just one never mind all of them celtic and rangers are no longer big clubs in the transfer market rangers have a debt problem and celtic will have one by the end of this season due to the lack of european football and money spent on players over the past 2 years celtic wil be in debt no doubt about that somewhare in the region of 15 million and rangers debt will come down to about the same level so there is no money to buy or loan any big players the best we can hope to see in scotland is run of the mill chapionship players and players from europe's smaller teams. its a sad state that scottish football is in and it aint going to get any better anytime soon a wish it would but it won't the money just isn't there anymore.

Such are the fables on here, Celtic, Nike blah blah,

Mr Ed, you tell em what they don't like to hear. . the truth

I've heard the same stories about Celtic's super duper sales, ha ha ha , but in all honesty it's another spin from Liewell, remember one thing whenever he gives them his usual fabricated stories. . they bite hook line and sinker, how come their debt is bigger and rising?which AGAIN will be denied, as Rangers deal with Umbro expires at the end of 2010/11, Nike who had a successfull deal with Rangers in the past, both were satisfied then, but with the impending Whyte takeover and Alistair Johnstone's(Rangers chairman)American connections, I don't think I'd be wrong in saying there could/would be a massive deal happening on a far bigger scale than anything that any Scottish club's had before, on the other hand Adidas are also waiting on the wings, they also had a successfull relationship with Rangers before, so you can understand why both of these bastions of the football world want to be associated with the Simply The Best. . . Rangers FC

What Bull Umbro only pay rangers £1 MILLION to put there logo on rangers top as JJB own all rights to Rangers merchandise and will do for many more years and as papers reported with JJB in finantial trouble Rangers would still have to pay big money to get there rights back so NIKE , ADIDAS or any other brand can't offer rangers hugh money as they would make nothing from sales as money will go to JJB.
Get your facts right.

Cha and Ki both to miss old firm game.

Not a massive blow to be honest, althopugh Ki has been playing well, we have Kayal and Brown available to cover and Juarez can fill in at right back.

Delighted to hear that newcastle are allowing fraser forster to stay for the season, it's a good decision for all three parties.
