Any decent person in the world would feel regret and remorse at a sad time like this. Unfortunately there are imbeciles out there who let everyone down. God bless the people and families who have been hurt or even worse killed in this terrible accident.

Agree Marco my deepest sympathies go out to all concerned. I cannot get out of my head that my brother being a big rangers fan travelled with them guys to the league game at ours just weeks ago, he is upset but still here and sadly others aren't RIP Ryan Baird.

Spot on Gordo, just shows how horrible people can be. I will be honest I haven't seen a paper or read anything online, I am going by what you guys are saying on here but it doesn't take a genius to put together, my thoughts and best wishes go out to the guys family at a time like this, rivalries aside we are all human and love the game. no need to be insensitive or lack compassion just because the guy didn't wear the same colour's as we do! RIP Ryan.

To be honest, I think the Man City side are very overrated, and I wouldn't be surprised if Barcelona gave them a doing, if they play as good as they did against us. Got to also say that they're supporters are glory hunters, and are far worse than Man U supporters have ever been.

Agree4 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - When Man City were in the old Third Division they had the 13th highest attendance in the UK of around 30k I'm sure it was and Maine Road only had a capacity of 35k at the time. Man City has the largest support based in the Manchester area and has always been seen as the club of the community, that's why Utd play a lot of their London based games in midweek - so that their support don't need to travel so far on a school night.}

I remember those days ed, but it's a worldwide brand now, that has people flying in and out from all over the world on a 1 match basis. I've a nephew (born and bred in Glasgow) who's 1st team is Man City, just modern football I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's so many tourists and the horrible modern day fans at every EPL matches that it has killed the atmosphere in the stadiums. They treat it the same way they would going to the pictures, they sit with their phone in one hand and one eye on the game demanding to be entertained while Tweeting about how some player should be sold because he misplaced a pass.
Look around Celtic Park these days and you'll see a couple of the roasters too, they spend half the game taking (swear) selfies!}

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I love Sutton as a pundit but he needs to learn that others have their own opinions and they have to be allowed to air them on these type of shows or his career on BT could be short-lived and we lose the only strong-willed, opinionated and vocal Celtic fan in the Scottish media.
Keeping butting in and talking down to other pundits does not go down well with TV execs or neutral viewers. I thought he would have learnt his lesson after his MOTD experience.}

02 Oct 2016 21:02:43
My mate played with big Sutton at Blackburn he told me back then that he always got a great laugh with Sutton because the big man was always up to mischief, noising the rest of the players up for a laugh and that a certain Alan Shearer wasn't very good at taking Chris' jokes lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Oct 2016 00:41:39
It's great to have a Celtic voice giving the Celtic angle on situations in the game . My only complaint with Chris Sutton is that he goes on and on about a decision or lack of a decision . He seems to keep dragging the conversation back to the incident . A discussion after the incident and then leave it to half or full time would be better IMO.

Have to say as much as any of us love our team to the core it's not worth a life, hatred in football is fine when it only applies to football, once it leaves the sport it becomes something else. All supporters of all teams world wide should make it home after watching their team. I just hope the other injured now make a full recovery and any Celtic fans seen or heard trying to use this tragedy for point scoring or to add fuel to the hate fire are swiftly dealt with by and and club.

For me

Too flat
Too square
Too methodical

Good first 20 minutes but then we kept running in to traffic and speed of play has allowed Dundee to get ten behind the ball

When KT or JF get to that bye line it's a different game as demonstrated by KT

Goal looks like coming from a long range shot or set piece or cut back but we only managed that cut back once in first half

Could be our first clean sheet at least. Look solid at the back.

Dembele a little detached. We need to break quicker and keep putting passes in front of players and keep Dundee players running back to their goal as opposed to slowing it down and letting them camp in.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

01 Oct 2016 13:21:14
It is usually a bit flat after a European game, especially one were the players put in so much effort.

My only surprise today was Rodgers did not make a few more changes. Expect Dembele, Rogic and Forrest to make way for McGregor, Roberts and Griffiths early in the second half.

Agree2 Disagree1

01 Oct 2016 14:22:00
professional and as expected tired looking performance
but 3 points in the bag
and that is really all that counts isn't it.

Silly post paradise, Dundee had every play behind the ball. I honestly thought Celtic looked very good today.

Agree2 Disagree4

01 Oct 2016 15:01:33
Thought we run out of legs after 30 mins. Not sure about Roberts this season, maybe needs a few more minutes not having as much of an impact as last season or am I being a little too harsh? Don't think Forrest or Dembele were fully at it today. No complaints by the way after Wednesday we were going to be tiered. Maybe a change of personel with Griff and Roberts on from start, and a couple of changes may have worked but as digibanger says, 3 points is all that matters after Wednesday.

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Oct 2016 14:38:37
After the midweeks efforts i'm more than happy with todays result. All about the points. Now we can recharge the batteries and get ready to go again after the break. Hail hail all.

Defabet

By all means quote me but what did I say specifically that you disagree with ( and quote me ) . What part?

Agree0 Disagree3

01 Oct 2016 15:47:19
I thought we started very well and took the game to Dundee - and if we had made the breakthrough, or maybe had baby Dallas not made an honest mistake with the pen claim - we might have skated it?
However, we ran out of energy and maybe ideas, until the Captain Brown stepped in and won the game.
We didn't create (and miss) as many as at Inverness, but there is definitely a reaction after CL games, when we keep the same team (give or take) and a few of the players like Dembele, Sinclair, Rogic, Tierney and Roberts etc are still young and new to CL.
Fortunately Dundee offered little and it was good to see the defense cope comfortably all game to earn a rare clean sheet.
As long as we are involved in every competition, there will be games like this, where we have to grind and plug away and it has been a very successful week as far as I'm concerned.

01 Oct 2016 16:20:56
Some people seem to be disappointed when they cannot ridicule us and find fault with the team . After the wonderful end to end 6 goal sharing thriller on Wednesday I think most of us would have expected us to be a little slower, flatter and too methodical . However we got 3 points and a clean sheet and in fact never looked to be in any danger .
Funny I thought winning today and very deservingly so and after going toe to toe with the top team in the EPL would have everyone happy.

O'Connell was only playing at start of season because we were struggling for CBs, which is why we also saw Ajer at CB.

Why Any new take over? What real improvement would any of them make at the moment? We will win the league with the current board and no real investor would come in just to throw big money in to us going a stage further in the champions league because believe me with the money that the top clubs have it would have to be really big money. And as long as the current board keeps helping BR when ever he feels he needs improvement I would be happy with what we have Kidding ourselves on if we think we can win the CL In Europe in reality I would be happy with us being like a mid table team with the odd last 16 and qualify for the CL each year.

some Chinese or Arab to come in change our strip and name Glasgow Keltic warriors with a tartan strip no thanks.

Agree1 Disagree6

01 Oct 2016 16:38:45
Certainly not, no Arab or Chinese person or consortium is going to take us over and throw money at us . They take over EPL teams because they know with the obscene TV money, sponsorship and advertising and their subsequent high profile they can make money . Taking over Celtic doesn't give same opportunity to make money and if any foreign investor did invest in Celtic, they would down size in an attempt to make money.

Agree0 Disagree8

02 Oct 2016 10:11:15
So if an overseas investor (a genuine one who actually has money not a Green or Whyte. ) wants to buy £10m players and invest money to take us to the next level none of you would want that? Absolute nonsense, everyone would love it and be excited by it. We have a billionaire in charge who contributes and invests absolutely nothing its time for new blood to invest in our great club.

Agree4 Disagree0

02 Oct 2016 11:01:06
Jamesbhoy why can't we just enjoy this now. This feels like the start of something special. Its been a long time since things felt so good at the club. We can debate the hypothetical investors, but i personally am going to soak it. We have a top class manager still building a team which has already stood toe to toe with EPL champs, destroyed our newest glasgow rivals, have our first CL point, and we are sitting top of the league clear with a game in hand unbeaten. Stil in all competitions we entered, let the good times roll.

With regards to our lack of clean sheets, I read an interview with Pep last night and he said that earning a clean sheet is something that it is only obsessed about in the UK, while in Spain and Germany its about creating chances and scoring goals. I'm with him on that. I'm happy to concede in every game if we are scoring 5 or 6 at the other end! At our current rate we are on course for 145 league goals this season! That must be a british record at least! COYBIG.

the best attacking teams will concede imo LM, the best football I've seen celtic play was the great man Tommy Burns team, his team always conceded too, newcastle under keegan etc, give me a 4-3 anyday of the week than a boring 1-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Oct 2016 12:28:05
Scoring goals is important but so is keeping it tight at the back.
Both us and city scored 3 goal mid week. That should enough to win any game.
Same as the caly game we score 2 we should win the game.
Clean sheets are important.

Agree0 Disagree1

01 Oct 2016 16:45:49
I don't know why he bought Stones, as he doesn't play him often . On match of the day last season, someone described Stones as the best centre half in the world .

Every manager whose team has just kept a clean sheet will tell u how important they are .
Every manager whose team has won 4-2 will tell u they are not over concerned with a clean sheet as long as they won.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - It was certainly important for us today.}

01 Oct 2016 17:35:56
Ed, why do u think pep is a fraud? Is it because he has walked into some of the best teams in the world without workin his way up the managerial ladder? Or is it sumfin else?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He couldn't fail at Barca, he took Bayern back the way and now he's at a Club with a bottomless pit of money, what has he actually done to deserve the plaudits he gets and lauded as one of the best coaches in the game?
He's also involved in the doping in Spain up to his neck and he himself only had his own ban from during time playing in Italy overturned in 2009 in what was no more than dodgy football politics to keep his squeaky clean image intact.}

01 Oct 2016 17:59:31
True, that Barcelona team could win wifoot a manager, I knew you would have more info on him ie the doping. i didn't know that. cheers mate.
