First time post;

Buzzing for tomorrow night, hopefully end the away duck.

I know we have had different managers and different squads in the past, but again we have a new manager and a new squad, so who is to say we wont flourish away from home? this squad should have no fear, they have came along way since braga (who were no mugs) and have gained experience and added well, as well as trimming some fat.

hopefully sammy can run spartak ragged, definitely missed his prescence and directness against benfica.

would like to see us line up:

Forster

matthews/lustig ambrose wilson mulgrew
wanyama
brown ledley
commons sammy
hooper

Hail Hail! G93

I seriously can't see Mulgrew being dropped, more likely to drop Izzy and play Mulgrew at LB.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Mathews play, rested on Sat and had a precautionary cast on, not heard for sure how close he is to making it.

Other than that I think that will probably be the starting line up, with James Forrest and Miku coming on at some point.

so the final total is £94m from d&p . i see someone saying how many hospitals and schools would that have built. they dont really care about that , no shame,, better to ask the forces champins , how many flak jackets and armoured vehicals would that have bought. disgusting ! lives for titles.. shamrock

Shamrock i'm sure you're sensible enough to realise that the £94m owed would not directly go straight into schools and hospitals, sadly goverment spending dosent work like that. Also i'm sure you share the same outrage towards vodafone £1.25 billion written off by HMRC! Regardless its a disapointing figure to potentially owe but save us the mock outrage of it all.

Agree0 Disagree1

The figure, for Scottish football is truly stunning. I know there's laws against it so why is it being allowed? Why is Green being allowed to say its the same club when it isn't why are they allowed to call it Rangers, wear the blue and the crest when that's blatantly illegal? Screwing the taxpayer of £94.4m and then flagrantly wearing the same strip! It's just plain and simply wrong. Also saying others write off more money isn't a defence that mitigates Rangers guilt at all. The strip the name the crest the history all needs to stop as per the letter of the law. £94m is £15 for every man woman and child in Scotland.

Agree1 Disagree0

They're breaking the law by using all the identifiers of the old club.
They are then saying look it's identifiable as a continuation, so lets legally recognise it as the same Rangers.
Unbelievable flagrant disrespect for the law and an act of parliament. And the police is doing nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I may be mistaken but I believe that until a business is liquidated then the name is not an issue. After liquidation they then have the name etc. restrictions. Still in Admin but about to be liquidated.

After HMRC rejected proposals for a creditors agreement that would have allowed the old club to continue, Duff and Phelps negotiated a sale of assets to a consortium led by Charles Green for £5.5m.

He has since formed a new club which is playing in the Scottish Football League Third Division.

In its final report to creditors, Duff and Phelps states: "The joint administrators have continued to review the claims made by HMRC in the administration.

"The claims are largely made up of determinations issued by HMRC in accordance with Regulation 80, penalties and outstanding PAYE/NIC.

"The joint administrators have adjudicated on these claims and confirmed to HMRC that for voting purposes, their claim will be admitted for voting purposes at £94,426,217.22."

------clearly this club is dead. Charles Green regardless of his rhetoric has started a brand new club which has never previously played in any competition.
The old Rangers is Scotland's greatest sporting shame. And is now permanently in the history books as such. The club name, colours, badges and motifs should be scratched forever by the Scottish people and the Scottish authorities.

D&P £3,121,000 for 7 months work.
Ok if you can get it.

Agree7 Disagree0

No one in the UK could possibly stomach supporting 'same club' argument after this.
A guy tapped me 50p today in Glasgow for something to eat..... Obviously starving.
£160m total debt, honestly it's obscene, sickening, way beyond simply criticising. Withholding these monies due to other businesses and uk citizens is negligent and surely criminal.

Agree5 Disagree0

Biggest tax fraud in Scottish history.

Agree5 Disagree0

The rangers still not out of this yet....just wait to their asked to pay more as it was undervalued ....bust again

Agree4 Disagree1

HMRC have already stated they will be going after the individuals responsible.

Although, the amount mentioned is what HMRC are claiming, this doesn't necessarily mean that's the actual figure of debt. Plus there still hasn't been a verdict yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a £94.5m advantage over all other clubs on tax alone. And they say they didn't cheat!

Agree4 Disagree1

i see the old rangers final tax liabilty has been out at £94 million.
Whist everyone knows that have cheated and conned their way to trophies, spare a thought for the schools and hospital projects that have had to be shelved

Believable8 Unbelievable1

All club colours, crests, badges and history to be immediately stopped as required by the British taxpayer and the people of Scotland.

Im sure wee Craig Whyte did not run up this amount of debt in his time at Ibrox

Agree7 Disagree1

It was run up over 12 years by David Murray. Systematic, bold, premeditated match fixing, every game sustained over a 12 year period.
Thankfully the BBC and STV have started writing its a NEW CLUB started by Green. With £94.4m tax evasion no one can stomach anything else.

Really sorry to hear that Evander Sno has suffered another heart attack. Really hope he's ok.

All the best to him and his family from the other side of the divide.

Bluegenius!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Well done bluegenius, at least there are some people out there who can put football aside for a moment.

Just reading a kinda interesting article about this obsessive attendance watching this season mainly by rangers.

Supporters of all the SPL clubs outside of Glasgow have suddenly noted an unprecedented level of interest in their popularity.

Rangers fans have been poring over crowd sizes at games that don't involve them. Their analysis predictably has reached wildly diverging conclusions. Even more predictably its become all about point-scoring over one another.

Rangers fans have interpreted modest attendances this season as proof that the SPL is an uninteresting waste of time without them. Rows and even whole blocks of empty seats at SPL games have suddenly been held up as some sort of indication of a league in tailspin. Unoccupied stands have been an unchanging backdrop at most grounds for years, if only they had noticed.

There is every reason to believe that SPL attendances will be down this season by no more and no fewer than the inevitable reduction caused by the removal one of the country's two best-supported clubs.

Rangers usual 40000-or-so home averages and 4000-or-so travelling supporters will be out of the equation and the eventual statistics will reflect that
All the attention paid to SPL crowds has been misplaced. The only attendances worthy of note this season have been at Ibrox. Attracting around 45,000 for Irn-Bru Third Division games is absurd given the quality of football they're watching. This is the poorest Rangers team for 30 years and in 1981-82 their 'average' home league attendance was 16,400, their lowest in living memory

Rangers could end up with the highest average crowds in Scotland. If they do, who is it that will never hear the end of it ?

They certainly aren't going to challenge Celtics dominance in Scotland for a while nor will there be European football.

Anybody know if Sportscene veiwing figures are up or down this season ? Especially significant as there is apparently a boycott by the fans who once supported TRFC(IA).

Paddy Malarkey

But will total newco rangers cumulative attendance across the season come to the magic number of 94.5million?

Keith Jackson is at it again his praise
for Chris Commons and Celtic are out
of character for him. Wonder if he has
become a closet supporter. JK

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Trying to keep a job. Trying to have a voice in the top tier of Scottish football. And not just in div3.
Honestly there's not much negative stuff he could put out on Celtic right now and it couldn't hit celtics confidence to benefit rangers.
