I personally think we are very very lucky to have dermot in charge, he is a supporter of the club, with the clubs best interests at heart, god help us if we got some american fly by night.

Re;dermot desmond
he could have splashed the cash more freely which i agree, however look at the financial mess that rangers are in at the moment as they nearly went into admin last year, how many of our managers of late could have been trusted to spend large amounts wisely?they appointed 2nd rate managers with no clue of value for money targets, thats what haunts us, if a decent manager had gotten the job before strachans last season with the same cash to spend rangers would not be going for 3 in a row, poor manager choices were the problem.

Re Desmond's investment,

There are many Celtic fans out there, maybe some on here?, that have asked why Desmond has'nt invested more, we all know if the board had spent when we needed to, if they could have afforded to, 4 in a row would have been achieved, he parted with the cash for Keane, why not the year before, when a striker was being cried out for, I did'nt buy into that Lawwell and the board thought Rangers were there for the taking, they would'nt/could'nt and did'nt need to part with the money, I don't think there was any available, again other Celtic fans also believe this.

Your going on about dermot desmonds investment or lack of it, what other club owners of late in britain has invested vast amounts of cash for transfers, not many i think you will find, as for our owner has more cash than yours statement you will also find it was rangers fans who boasted about this, remember the fake rangers bank notes and how you gloated, just accept times have changed as mintys millions have been spent buying(dodgy)titles.

The point being made to the gers fan was, our billionare owners may not invest an awful lot, but they will not let celtic get in the financial mess his team are in .

Concerning Mr Desmond's financial state and regarding his investment in Celtic FC, yes he is a billionaire, he has invested £22m in shares in Celtic FC, now reportedly worth £11/12m, apart from funding only Robbie Keane's wages, £1.3m, not the loan fee £1.5m, the man is no mug, and for what he has seen from the club's dismal performances over the past couple of years, you can understand why he has only invested such a trivial amount out of his vast fortune, so to the children who comment on here "our owner is richer than your's", why has'nt he or the other billionaire invested more?mmmhm! !

Surprise surprise another cover up the linesman getting hung out to dry dallas and macdonald closing ranks its time all spl clubs took on the sfa not just the old firm i am a st mirren fan and we were fortunate not to give away a penalty on saturday when there was a double handball but neither ref or linesman saw anything same as watching celtic st johnstone cup tie you could see clearly without replays that ledley was onside but once again linesman made a mess of things
