If we sign Sinclair we are shaping up to look like a good attacking side with 2 proper wingers. Something we've lacked for a while. But far too many midfielders in the squad.

I am also concerned with the idea that some of our players are regarded as truly aweful . Players need all the encouragement and confidence they can get.

It's good to see Griffith becoming proficient in Europe two goals in 75 hours may show he is carrying his domestic form into Europe .
Many people questioned his ability to score in Europe but I don't really see any difference. Barcelona would be amongst the best clubs in Europe every year and they could not handle the pressure we were putting on their back four, and give up the easiest opportunity for Griffith's to score.

I didn't get a season ticket as my little boy is disabled and could not get appropriate seating for us. However, I feel for those true followers who have bought theses season tickets with the vision that maybe, just maybe the board given the sheer magnitude of our manager. We must all give him time granted, but where does the board stand on his transfer policy. Has he been horse da load of manure. If so he will be off. We could all cope with not being in the champions league if fans were given a vision of told this is what he has budget wise we will build this season with a view to progress into or further beyond the cl stages.

I fail to understand how B Rodgers buying 3/ 4 players would quarantine us Champions League Football.
It's not the name of the player or how much he cost will decide whether we are playing Champions League Football but how well the players who are picked and our substitutes that will decide .

Nothing is guaranteed but he would have a better chance if he got 3 or 4 of his choice in. He has clearly had time to assess the squad and if he thinks we need new players then we have to back him with what he wants.

Or we could do it the Celtic way and let him bring a Swiss Army knife to a gun fight.

How do you know didn't the Turkish Champions Fer . spend an EPL fortune last year and didn't qualify . Doing it the Celtic way means there is always the chance next yr . Buying players with the hope of getting into Champions League, may make the next year more difficult or even impossible .
We have to live within our means.

Got to be one of the first names on the sheet on wednesday for me. We looked a lot more composed with him coming on in the first leg keeping the ball moving and although I'm confident we can win, we need to be patient.

JimTim I agree with you. The fact is they need to take the game to us and we should have more than enough to deal with them. In terms of Bitton, the problem is when he and Brown both play together. One or the other gives us a bit of protection for the defence but both of them just slows the game right down and drains our creativity going forward.

Surely if Brown is played in a more advanced position, rather than alongside Briton it would prevent them slowing up our move.

No it would just mean until the ball passed him in his advanced role there would be no pace. if anything it would slow the game down more.

Speroni, did start in UK with Dundee but he's been mainstay at Palace for donkeys years. Fans this year bit confused about how Hennessey was getting in ahead of him. If you watch Speroni play, you'd see an experienced, athletic keeper who commands his box confidently. Great goalie.

I remember he got injured, and then he couldn't get back in the Palace team after that Davie he was doing well before the injury and like you say the fans loved him but i think there's better younger keepers we could buy instead of him. I would take Marshall back but Lawwell wouldn't pay the money for him.

Maybe B R wanted to sign McGovern when he was free after the Euroes . But we were told on here in no uncertain terms that Mc Govern was not good enough to wear the Celtic top, so Rodgers has looked elsewhere.
He didn't want to upset the experts here😄😀😅.
