I think it's great that even though our great captain gets fouled, assaulted. Chopped down at every opportunity he still manages to get back up and control games! He is a true leader. I love the way he rises above it now its that air of arrogance he knows he's better and so do they! Roy Keane is my football hero but Broonie is up there aswell!

Steve, Broonie has earned the right to be remembered as a great Celtic captain.

The problem is if this continues he might not get up from one of them.
If that stamp had landed on his knee instead of his thigh yesterday he could have been seriously injured.

Kev as we get nearer the 10 referee protection will get less.

There's a different angle on the Celtic News Now page which for anyone who hasn't seen it, shows what a disgusting assault it is from Davies. It's a real deliberate stamp on Scott's upper thigh. As you said Kev, if it had been Broony's knee it would have been a possible career ender.
It's now up to the SFA disciplinary board to give this coward what he deserves. If he doesn't see out the rest of the season from the stand, I will be amazed. Shocking tackle.

BigRab did you notice how he tries to do a runner after it on that vid? Coward.

Because Armstrong was going for him. Nothing but a sh*tbag.

There has been talk of how much of an improved player James Forrest has become in recent seasons; however, if you compare Scott Brown from when he joined us to what he has become to the club at present, he is simply irreplaceable as a player, captain and influential figure and one of the best leaders and motivators I've seen.
I remember the initial criticism of how he couldn't pass, shoot or therefore score and his temperament was very suspect with too many incidents, bookings and suspensions. However, over these past 3/ 4 years, he has matured and become a fabulous footballer, that we have come to appreciate and I hope he will be in and around Celtic Park in some capacity when his illustrious playing career finally ends.

JFP, you must've upset a few Huns cos the cheeky wee interlopers keep disagreeing with you.

Spotted that myself Viking Tim. It’s OK upsetting Huns is my specialist area of expertise. Telling the truth is usually guaranteed to get a reaction big you have to make sure you don’t use big words and keep the discussion simple.

OaB hopefully when his footballing career comes to an end there is a place for him in some capacity at CP. We need people like Broonie in our corner.

A cowards tackle, done him when he was on the ground, he wouldn't do it 50 50 if they were both on their feet. anywhere else on his leg and it's a bad injury. Then he nearly runs away.

JFP1888,I agree with Viking Tim you seem too have upset a few of the gullibles with your post about Broony. I couldn’t agree more with what you wrote, other clubs would love to have our Captain. Most of all he did support the club that died and that hurts them big time as he’s become a legend with us.
To all the Sevco fans who come and look at the Champions Banter. Our club has been the SAME CLUB SINCE 1888. can you say the same about Rangers 2012?

I will just say one thing about it, could you imagine the furore if brown had committed the tackle?

GT10 spot on that’s why they hate him more. As the great Mr Stein once said ‘Celtic maybe weren’t my first love-but they’ll be my last’ and we have a stand named after him to forever mark his achievements. Broony is recently on record as saying ‘Their will be NO clubs after Celtic’. ☘️.

Davies' tackle on Broony was an act of anger, bitterness and jealousy because he knows he will never reach the level of our captain. HH.

I know he hasn't had a heart season but after watching Armstrong yesterday I think he would be a big loss if he was to leave in the summer.
He showed great energy plus passion when he scored and was first in for the battle when the challenge was made on brown.
Add to that the talk of rogic going and I think the club keeping them would be as good as a couple of new signings.

Thought Armstrong was excellent yesterday. Certainly brings a lot more creativity to the Team. On top of that with Roberts and Griffiths coming back it gives us more attacking options.

Please remember, Ghuys. we were at home to RC. I say get a good fee for Armstrong and get him out the door! We are well covered.

I remember Armstrong in both the games against city and he was excellent against their superstars but I feel his head has turned to down south as if it hadn’t he would’ve committed to a longer contract. I still think Ntcham is class though.

great player armstrong he should be offered a 4 year deal, and so should rogic.

He didn't want a long contract a year ago jamesbhoy. It's a tough one, I like him but think we need to get as much as we can in the summer. I'm more concerned about losing Rogic.

Not celtic related but dodgy refs aren't confined to our game 😁
Just finished watching the boxing there from round 4 after I finished work. Thought a ref was meant to break non active clinches? The old heavyweight hugs they do. Every time they got close he was in there breaking it up. Fighting at home with a bias that beggars belief. I'm not saying that Parker would of done AJ in but come on. Giving up that reach and that bit of hand speed could of mixed it up a bit. Instead we were all bored to death as AJ kept distance and scored on a jab, when he wasn't in that position the ref reset it so he was again. Bit wiffy in my book. No wonder that division is dead.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - It was a pretty boring fight but most boxing is nowadays imo.}

01 Apr 2018 12:12:53
i think eddie hearn left a brown envelope in the refs room lol, funnily enough there used to be a team from govan who did the same lol, now the new incarnation of that club can't afford a newspaper.

Only way Parker was ever going to win was on the inside. Ref was in every single time splitting it up stealing the limelight. Ruined the fight imo. Povetkin v Price was a better fight.
