The laughs are never ending:

Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte is preparing to claim millions of pounds from the remains of the old club that collapsed earlier this year, saying the RFC Group he used to buy the Ibrox outfit held a valid security over the assets sold to Charles Green's Sevco consortium.

Whyte is a secured creditor holding a legal charge over the Assets.
This is his insurance policy against Ticketus claim for £25m.
With Green/ Ahmed valuing the assets up to £80m Craig is saying I'll have £25m of that at least. BDO will have to unwind the sale to green for £2m (£3.5m was for players and other things).

ED007 while I am enjoying the comedy emanating from Green regarding the share issue I have two contrasting emotions.
Firstly I am enjoying all the amazing figures being banded about and how a third division club will soon have £100m media rights, then there is the farcical 0890 telephone idea of fans calling premium numbers during a game to speak to Sally in the dugout. (that idea sounds like something our Pat would dream up lol) All the gullible ex bears seem to be swallowing all this guff up.
Secondly I have some sympathy for the genuine fans willing to put money into their club hoping it will help. But especially in these recession hit times and with Christmas around the corner, I hope no bear parts with money they cannot afford and a family has a poorer Christmas to fund the spivs. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - The whole thing stinks of a con. How anyone in their right mind can believe the garbage coming from all corners beggars belief. What exactly are people investing in and what happened to the previous shareholders, are they expected just to shut up and play ball? Generations of families were, very rightly, proud to hold those shares then all of a sudden they are gone with no explanation of to where or why. Fans should think why 'real' Rangers men ran a mile from the deal, even the MSM were running out of people to link to 'multi-million' takeovers of the club. Douglas Park NEVER had any intention of saving or putting money into the club and I will 100% guarantee that. Remember it was Bill Ng's Singapore-based consortium that The Blue Knights couldn't compete with, where did they go to? Could Ng's name have been used solely with the purpose of frightening off TBKs? If I was a fan of The Rangers I would look for group of supporters, including serious money men, who agree to buy the club from Green in five-years time when they can see how committed he has been to keeping up his side of the bargain of moving the club forward.}

Whyte looking to leverage a deal. He won't unwind the asset sale if Green accepts the original Ticketus contract and repays £25m over five years.

The original £18m to pay off Lloyds just simply doesn't go away.

Bill Miller's £12.5m proposed CVA bid would have saved the club. It would still be in SPL with same squad. It was Rangers fans with their vile Internet electronic attacks on him that scuppered their only true hope. They now deserve everything they get. And who orchestrated it?

Agree10 Disagree1

Well documented no CVA would ever have been accepted by HMRC!

Nice to see Barca are giving us some respect. It wont be an easy game but you just never know. If we can steal a point from either of the games I would be delighted.

Barcelona's thoughts are focused on Celtic despite having a league clash at Deportivo la Coruna tomorrow.
Lionel Messi is likely to be rested for tomorrow's match with major decisions to be made at the back with Carlos Puyol out of action for two months with a dislocated elbow.
Barca have taken full points from their opening Champions League matches against Spartak Moscow and Benfica but have taken note of Celtic's win in the Russian capital.
Former Liverpool and West Ham defender Javier Mascherano admitted: Celtic's win over Spartak Moscow is a lesson for us.
We're convinced there isn't going to be a comfortable rival in our group. I was surprised by the Celtic victory in Moscow. For me, this now makes them our main rival for leadership in the group.
I still feel confident we will win next week because the differences between Barca and Celtic are great but we must demonstrate this superiority on the field. Our dressing room is clear on what we have to do ” beat Celtic in both games.
If we manage that, our first objective is over. We're determined to win the group.
The Argentinian added: I know Scottish football and I feel the match against Celtic will not be easy.
The main obstacle is to break the defensive system and avoid the problems we had against Spartak.
It is never easy against a Scottish side like Celtic because they operate a difficult system, with a compact defensive line and good counter-attacking. This is the danger to avoid in Nou Camp.
We have suffered injuries recently, but this is not an excuse. We should be superior to Celtic. It will be a physical match, but if we play with our technical style it is impossible for us to fail to win.
