That puts them equal with Celtic now. One final won one lost. Only difference is both Celtic sides cost 30 grand between them. Before anyone says Celtics wins were worth less the old cup was harder. One bad game and you were out.

ed just bringing back memories(tommy's video) there and do you think we will ever fill paul mcstay's position again.the way he used to command the midfield av no seen for years(except lubo) but mcstay was with us start to finish no doubt one of the greatest ,kb-bhoy {Ed007's Note - Paul McStay is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, as is Willie and Raymond. My mammy used to babysit them when they were wee pups up in deepest darkest Larkhall. If he had took his chance to go to Italy he would get better recognition as one of the best of his generation, and not just by CFC fans.}

I s**t you not this is a post from the shame's rumours page..............Bears, from a good source, Mr Green backed by substantial money from far east, idea is to play hard ball with the creditors, make sure they dont bleed us dry, once the cva sorted the real funding will come in, the newco will have no debt, backed with a huge war chest and the ability to get more money from the banks. Word is they are looking for some kind of asian league with the big clubs from europe like barca, inter, liverpool, the gers and bayern. Heard that drogba yakubu and lampard have already been spoken to before the european cup final. Bad advert for scottish football.
Rubbish cup final.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Ref spoiled any chance of a decent game

Agree7 Disagree0

What a terrible decision that was. Ruined the game. How can referees see things that don't happen ? Hearts first goal was also from a bad decision, free kick leading up to corner. Hearts were the best team but decisions surely helped them. It's getting stupid now. tv is really sophisticated now but footballl is using the same methods as 100 years ago. How about 4 linesmen, 1 on each goal line and a ref in each half.

Agree5 Disagree0

The game was also one sided

Agree4 Disagree0

I think what we need is a mix of american football and crickets way of doing it give each team 3 challenges that they can take but when their done thats you and when either team uses their challenge it goes up to a second ref who can look at diffrent angles, slow motion, etc and give a better decision based on that

bigD

Agree4 Disagree0

This cant continue ,50000 people payed a lot of money to watch that (granted half were happy with ref). the second half was lining up to be a cracker until that terrible decision. jersey pulled outside the box and player trips over his own feet in the box. the ref has too much to do. these decisions are now having as much bearing on the result as players and tactics. a linesman on the goal line would have been right there with an unblocked view. a challenge system as backup would be good. the match wouldnt need to stop. the penalty could go ahead and later the goal chalked off when the incident is reviewed. its important for the boom in match fixing too. its dead easy now for a bent ref to do his work. {Ed007's Note - I don't know about getting a goal chopped off retrospectively mate, that would be a logistical nightmare. I do agree with your main point about change. I constantly say that I don't believe all this conspiracy theory about referees being biased, I just think they are vastly incompetent, and not just in Scotland.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian Black should have walked in the 1st half for his blatant use of the elbow on Leigh Griffiths in the first 15 minutes , the guy is gonnae end somebody's career eventually the way he goes in for challenges , theres hard and fair , but this guy is at best wreckless .

3 big games

Hearts vs hibs
Chelsea vs bayern
West ham vs Blackpool

Thoughts ? Fancy hibs as so far in these cups they have been up sets & just about everyone has write then off.

Bayern - just to the fact that chelsea are so over rated like man city money can't buy success which considering how much Chelsea have spent over the past few years I'll go for bayern 3-1 with chelsea to score 1st

Playoffs - think west ham as they have beatin Blackpool twice this season already & don't think Blackpool have it in them to go up & stay up.

** when I say money can't buy success I mean man city (ie) won the league with a very poor man utd side who had their problems.spending 50m on players & the like won't make a team gel (hope this makes sence lol)

Lenny

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I agree with most of your predictions i also think bayern will win 3-1 but i think robben will score first.I also think west ham will win but i just cant see hibs doing it today as much as i would love hibs to win i think hearts will win 2-0 davie c

I would like to thank Mr Green for his inspiring attitude to fiscally contracted matters. His stance towards the ticketus deal with rangers(IA) shows a man of great vision blazing trails to a new financial dawn.Having read his statement with regards to the crippling season ticket deal rangers face,i have drafted a letter to my bank telling them i also will be "ripping up" my current overdraft and loan facilities.Thank you Mr Green.I bet rangers fans are glad you came along..........green jhedi

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Agree GJ. This guy is embarrassing. Can't figure out what his strategy is.
Pathetic attempt at pressurising the authorities, and conning the fans into paying up front, without any details of where we're going. My main concern is that Whyte is in the background, rumour is that it was Andrew Ellis who brought Green in. Strong possibility(IF) RFC survive, that Green and his gang of Invisibles, pay a couple of million to keep club going, and retain better players, until season ticket money comes in,say what £20-£28 million, then sell better players in January window,no transfer money required for first year, pay Whyte off,(Ticketus money) then get season ticket money for following year, then do a runner.Few bob in their pocket, and RFC back to square one, re Portsmouth.

Good morning all, just up and getting ready to go watch my local amatuer team play in a cup final. Been a great season, they won the league last weekend for the first time in 20 years and today we are going for a double. Hopefully a great weekend for my hometown and a few beers to celebrate. Anyway, I have heard that Dignity FC are looking at releasing a music album to sell at home games, all aimed at raising some much needed funds. The as of yet unnamed album is set to include the following tracks:
1. Simply In Debt
2. The Cash My Father Owed
3. God Pay The Queen
4. Penny Blockade
5. The Cry Was No Reminders
6. All Whyte Now

Should be a massive hit!

why are u all aiming so low when it comes to transfers, if celtic ever want to be in the english league they need to be successful, so going for championship options such as berra who couldnt stop anyone in priemier league would stand no chance in europe where we need to be successful to prove that we would be a profitable option to put into the epl

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Come on, its not a matter of aiming low. Its a matter of being relsitic. We cannot compete on both fee's and wages on offer from middle of the road EPL teams, even bottom half in some cases. If we did try we would be in a situation like our neighbours are currently enjoying.

Yes our club strives to be succeessful on lots of fronts but this desire has to be tempered by realism and also that success cannot be taken for granted.

I would like us to make more of a push to be able to reach the CL on a consistant basis and then strive to maintain that for the obvious financial benifits that it brings. We as a club have missed a few oppertunitys over the last 5-6 years to try and maintain this sort of stature i lude too. However it cannot be taken for granted and sometimes the risks do outweigh the rewards. A well run football club that is pretty much guaranteed to last a very very long time into the future should always be a priority ahead of potential short term gain. Cos success no matter how much you pay for it is not a guarantee.

We are heading in the right direction again of that there is no doubt. A few more years and we may be back in position to compete with the EPL again but it has to be done in a prudent way and not by signing big name charlies in the pursuit of possible success.

Hope that makes sense?

Just wanted to see what peoples opinion would be on this. Given that sky make a huge chunk of their profits from betting ads during games, and if R*****s do get relegated to div 3 in my opinion if they request any changes in the contract it will mean more games played at times when other games aren't on ie Friday and Monday nights and given that most of the other teams in the SPL clearly put finance above the wishes of their fans they will agree to this.
