Right before anyone says anything, I've no idea what this guy done and don't condone his behaviour but has anyone seen the guy in a tenement flat surrounded by armed polis, it's the best video I've seen in ages, he summons the sergeant over by shouting, you with the hat c'mere n talk tae me, a want a bag ae cans n a want brendan Rodgers back. šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚.

Bigp I wasn't aware of his situation, that's tragic. Hope the courts take it into account. U can't say his demands weren't funny tho.

Steph I just saw today my pals son state the facts of why he was the way he was on fb. Guy just cracked too much going on in his life? You never know how stress affects you? I split with my mrs last September have seen my daughter for 30 mins in 7 weeks even though I want to see her. My ex is saying if I donā€™t agree to a Wednesday and Sunday every week I donā€™t get her. I work as a manager in retail I canā€™t get that and she knows that? I can sympathise how stress affects you!

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 18:59:58
Big P that video got less funny and was sadder the more I watched it today but nobody was laughing at him. Iā€™m old and ugly enough to know that life can just get too much at times. The guys comments about the cans and wanting Rodgers back were flippantl and the last thing on his mind. What he really wanted was a job to be able to look after his weans. God love him as I said. You and him will both be in my prayers. God Bless my friend nobody meant any offence Iā€™m sure. In fact it would be great if we could find a way of helping the guy out. šŸ‘ā˜˜ļø.

20 Mar 2019 19:08:12
I get it completely bigp. I went through marriage break up 4 years ago and I lost a ton of weight in the space of a few months through stress. What is most frustrating for most people in desperate situations like this is that no matter how hard they try to make things better, theyā€™re continually facing ridiculous hurdles that, in a fair world, just shouldnā€™t be there. I hope you get things sorted out with your daughter because that must be really hard to deal with. Donā€™t give up cos you will sort it out in the end. I hope the courts give the guy a bit of leaway as well cos it sounds like he needs it.

Mate get yourself some legal advice, women don't hold all the cards anymore. I don't know your financial situation but if a lawyer is out the question then at least try citizens advice. She shouldn't be able to dictate your days, she must be a peice of work to use your kids as pawns. I'd end up in the hospital or jail, hopefully your coping awrite with it bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 20:01:44
Get yourself a lawyer and go for parental rights. Saves you dragging kids through court and puts you on equal footing. I did it with my son years ago as I couldn't even take him on holiday without her ok. Wasnt willing to be at her beck and call using our son to control me. Best thing I ever did. Good luck.

Absolutely gutted today been a season ticket holder for the last 15 years never missed a cup game in all that time but never got a ticket for the semi final. I get that everyone on the ticket scheme deserves the chance to see the team in semis and finals but it doesn't make it any easier we should seriously think about moving our games to Murray field and give more fans the chance of seeing these games or invest in Hampden and increase the capacity as both us and sevco could fill the stadium on our own.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2019 21:02:46
Murrayfield is a far better stadium all round. Better capacity, better atmosphere and better layout.

20 Mar 2019 00:15:18
Totally agree Phill I had a great day out there against hearts but logistically we couldn't play a Glasgow derby there with both sets of fans traveling from central/ Queen Street arriving at hay market it would be carnage so for that reason alone it's a non starter but any other tie would be fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 13:37:53
Iā€™m no on the scheme mate and in same boat had tickets for last rounds. Iā€™ll prob get one thankfully. But donā€™t jump on the scheme next season because of it weā€™re lucky with the allocation for this one but if it were people you wouldā€™ve been in a ballot so no better off.

20 Mar 2019 13:39:14
You should be ok to get one Jaw, keep an eye on the website after the 26th, if you bought tickets for the Airdrie and St Johnstone games you"ll be next in line to get one . Can't understand the initial sale, we seem to be getting the whole North and East stands plus half South stand which must be 30 odd thousand, don't believe we have that many on the HCTS.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 14:35:03
I'm hopeful of still getting a ticket I just find it strange how it has been done this time I also found it strange when the sevco tickets went on sale for extra tickets there
was no warning no emails txts or anything on the website before hand then I find out they're sold out by email from the club.

I hear wee bits here and there from you all regarding Ntcham, but what's the skinny? Consensus suggests he's unhappy or unmotivated. I'd really like to hold onto him and build a team around him, McGregor, Forrest, Tierney this summer. I'd try to get Weah on a longer loan (with option? ) too.

Apparently heā€™s missing moussa šŸ‘€ fact heā€™s been injured so much gives me impression that he will still be here next season I think heā€™s going to be a great player donā€™t buy into half the rumours but then again I thought the snake would never leave šŸ˜¬.

I mentioned previously we were at the St Johnstone home game (I think) and he was on the subs bench and warmed up, but after warm up there was announcement made that he was being replaced on the bench by Mikey Johnston so assuming he pulled something in warm up right after coming back from his lay off which can't really be helped.

Spot on Paul. perfect example of English arrogance who think has been can still cut it in Scotland a la Joey the Budgie Barton, Defoe and our very own Carlton Cole. Bringing them up here just exacerbates their smug attitude. No time be they Scottish, English or Irish who only want to come and play for us when their best days are well behind them. I include the Keanes in that comment. If weā€™re not good enough in your prime like we were for the King of Kings weā€™re not could enough when youā€™re nearing or past the end of your career.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 19:37:34
Completely agree with both of you and it doesnā€™t just go for players. It goes for managers as well. If you thing a middle of the table English team is a step up from Celtic, youā€™re not Celtic class.

19 Mar 2019 21:17:39
You don't have to be a supporter to play for a team, these players are professionals, don't want Bent anywhere near Parkhead, that's because he is well past it, but if he was years younger and at the top of his game, and made that statement, would you still not want him, look at John Hartson, he went to Rangers first, so he could have been the one saying the same thing, so youse lot would have turned him down?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 21:38:18
But heā€™s no top of his game thatā€™s what makes the article farcical.

With modern day crazy transfer fees what price tag would you guys consider for
KT. Around 25 million?
Ntcham 12 million
Rogics 8 million
Calmac 15 million
Come the end of the season I think Rodgers will go for KT and Calmag.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - If anyone was daft enough to bid Ā£8 million for Rogic I'd snap their hand off and carry him there myself in case he got injured on the journey.}

KT and Calmac are too good to be joining Shergar at Leicester plus hopefully theyā€™ve learned their lesson after trusting him once.

19 Mar 2019 18:31:43
Haha Ed. True I call him sick note!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 19:55:31
Rogic gets injured often when playing for Oz. If he sacked that we would get far more games from him. When fit and firing (admittedly not often) he is a fantastic footballer.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 20:03:50
Kt is here for 10 no money will praise him away till thatā€™s done be 23 and have the world at his feet with legend status even at that age actually think he will be captain then.
Rogic Ā£8m lol donā€™t get the hype with him to me heā€™s another samaras 1 good game gets him the next 4 (if no injured) weā€™ve gone with Burke as no9 and Iā€™m with most on here eddy is better in the hole heā€™s far superior to Rogic in that position thatā€™s what I want to see.

Ed just a thought on the manager situation. Obviously we don't know the boards intentions as yet. Maybe they think Lenny is the man to take us forward or maybe not. My question is if it is not to be Lennon will the board at this stage have contacted potential candidates for taking over at the end of the season. I would hate to think that if they do decide to go with someone new that it would be a drawn out process given the short period of time before our European qualifiers start and the rebuilding that is required on the park.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - There will have been some kind of an approach made to Steve Clarke and maybe some preliminary talks with some of the applicants but I still think it'll be Lennon if Clarke turns it down. I really don't see the board pushing the boat out again on a manager at Rodgers level with the wages etc involved.

19 Mar 2019 15:29:57
I hope you are wrong Ed Maybe not to Rodgers level but I hope higher than Lennon I know it sounds like I don't like him but that is wrong I do like him but I just don't think he will take us forward he in my opinion is at Hibs level But not at ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I just see it as a backwards step and if he is appointed are we going back to Lawwell ultimately deciding who we sign, more loans from his son at City?
The only way I would like to see Lennon get the job is if as is expected Congerton leaves then we move to bring in a top DOF to oversee the footballing operations.}

19 Mar 2019 16:00:38
God I hope they're not approaching Clarke.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Me too, Kev but the same person who told me Rodgers was getting the job said that as things stand it'll either Clarke or Lennon. Hopefully that'll change in the coming weeks and considering Clarke has publicly stated he won't manage any other Scottish team than Kilmarnock then it's a very short-sighted approach by the board imo. It would be interesting to find out who has applied or who has got their agent to sound things out.}

19 Mar 2019 16:45:05
I hope if its not Lennon then the board will do the right thing and have the new man sounded out talked to and deal done before the end of this season so he can have a look at what we have and what is needed possibly let Lennon finish this season but the new man steps in from then.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 16:54:59
If thatā€™s the level of ambition from the board then I pray to god Itā€™s Lenny appointed over Clark. I know not everyone is a fan of Lenny but Iā€™ve mentioned on previous threads Iā€™d be happy to have him over some of the other names mentioned. On the other hand I also think heā€™s on a bit of a hiding to nothing. For example if he fails to beat Sevco twice or fails to complete the treble there will be a lot of people unhappy if he is appointed. Marco Rose would be my first choice but from what youā€™re saying Ed that calibre of manager looks like a pipe dream.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 17:16:38
When you look at it from both angles, it was a fantastic coup getting someone of Rodgers' class and ability and his record of an unbeaten treble and 7 trophies on the bounce will probably never be beaten for quite some time?
However, while we lapped up the success, he was obviously putting himself in the shop-window - especially when he and Lawell fell out and the working relationship deteriorated.
We will probably never be able to keep anyone of that Ilk again, because of where we play and the cash limitations to attract/ keep top players and as much as it hurts; there'll always be bigger offers from much smaller teams who lack the history and tradition of Celtic but are backed by Ā£B's from TV, Corporate Business or a bored sugar-daddy who needs a hobby.
It is a harsh reality check, that we are talking about NL and SC for the managers job, but the club, has been really rocked by recent events and will not want to go through that again.
As long as we maintain the current dominance it'll be fine, but as soon as the cracks show - we'll see a howling demand for change.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 17:15:30
Youā€™ve been vocal on both options Ed; Lennon and Clarke, but of that is our limit, who would You prefer?

Would there be any value in bringing in Ronnie as a coach?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It would have to be Lennon for me, in management he's the more experienced of the two, he's managed us in Europe and been there and done it with Celtic. Lennon knows exactly what the job requires and the impact it has on your lifeI don't think Clarke would appreciate the level of intrusion in his personal/family life - not to mention the rise in sectarianism that would be aimed at him and his family.}

19 Mar 2019 20:00:02
If it's just they 2 it's got to be Lennon. Clarke has done nothing in the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2019 21:48:15
Donā€™t want either both a backward step. Loving trebles loving the domination and crave the ten more than anything we can achieve. But in these years of dominance ultimately the goal has to be progression each year. Team improving standard of player and performance each year. No doubt both will do the necessary to win games might even tight up in Europe but will we improve? I donā€™t think so love to be wrong. The snake has gone but fk me he definitely improved us and if it werenā€™t for his bull it wouldnā€™t hurt so much. We need a progressive coach at the helm better people than me know who these are and I hope we go that way.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 00:53:22
Welshy, I agree with your post, but what do you think progression would be?
I mean realistically, from where Rodgers took us.

Better signings? Iā€™d say that arguably the easiest part to improve on.

Better results? Better youth set up? Last 16 of Europe? Better on the domestic front?

I donā€™t know the answer myself, which is why Iā€™m asking. It has to be what PL etc. are thinking right now. Do we hire a big time manager and have him implement his new ideas, or do we hire the likes of NL and go with continuity of everything BR built.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2019 13:29:16
Whomever is given the job for me I hope we get someone with good tactical knowledge and isn't as one dimensional in they're setup I really don't like the idea of a manager sticking to the same formation as we have been and team's in Scotland know how to stop us playing now and we still even with Lenny in we're playing the same way when I see them passing the Ball across the backline all the time it infuriates me.

In light of all the garbage flying about 90+6 winner.
I just submitted a pic showing sevco added time games.
I honestly thought both Dundee and Celtic played an extra 6 minutes and not just Celtic.
sevco and all those other eejits having a go at us for one game with an added time. winner . Very short memories. How many goals would their Ā£20 million+ striker have scored without the obligatory 90+4 minutes added? (and don't even get me started on penalties. )
