I see Eboue getting a little stick today; all justified. I beleive he will take time to settle and we won't see him start a game until next season. I was disappointed Hill was not given a place on the bench ahead of Eboue after outperforming him in the development side. How can we expect our own youngsters to believe in themselves if players who are bought in are first choice even if you play better.

Jonace, I suppose when you spend £2m on a player there is a pressure to show that the money hasn't been wasted.
There is a tendency in football where clubs would rather pay money for players rather than go with their own youngsters. Man Utd sold Pogba for around £5m, then spent £89m to buy him back. Chelsea sold Lukaku to Everton for I think it was £17m, and now a couple of years later want to spend £50m to bring him back.
It's as if clubs can only see how good a player is when they play for someone else.

{Ed007's Note - Pogba left Utd on a free after refusing to use one of Fergie's cronies as his agent and the compensation was around £800,000 which also had to be shared with Le Havre where Utd signed him from (a move FIFA investigated) and a couple of other small French clubs.}

There was some expectation and anticipation, as the player came with a good reputation and decent price tag.
However unlike other 'foreign imports' he does seem to be taking a lot longer to get up to speed and looks pretty raw and will probably take a while to develop?

Another 3 points closer to the title probably sums up that game. It's at the point where things tend to become scrappy because we're so close to getting the league over the line. We did enough to win but the international break is coming at a nice time for a few of the players who have looked a little bit tired recently. Hopefully they'll come back ready for one last push for the treble. HH.

Pleased with the result, but too many below par performances, particularly in attack. I'm not sure if it's tiredness as we did seem to be able to move about. Far too many heavy touches, mishit passes, people running into eachother and tripping over the ball. Poor Eboue even fell off the bench lol. So much of our good attacking play has gone through Sinclair who looks like he is in a wee dip right now. Forrest did well for the second, bit offered little else. We're missing Rogic as a CAM, just somebody in there orchestrating things. As a result Dembele looks like a frustrated player. Winning whilst playing poorly is always good though. I think you're right about the scrappiness possibly being from the title being so close though.

Unable to win the league against Sevco, we have the next best thing. Winning the league at the Edinburgh huns. Got this funny feeling though that we will win the league on the Friday when Aberdeen lose to Dundee. After that, never mind the unbeaten run, BR should tinker with squad to get the best possible team ready for the Semi Final. MTH!

Kev agree with you and jim tim but confess to being worried for a few weeks now. Sinclair has been great and in my opinion as good a player if not a better one than Dembele? He has looked poor for 3/ 4 weeks. don't know if he has got bored or its just a drop in form but when he does not play then Celtic don't play. Sounds harsh but i would not have played him today after Rangers performance. Something feels not right. Need to restore the fluid play we produced earlier in the season and do it quick.

Sinclair be back to he's best soon aye it's frustrating because we know the players better than what they've been giving us last few weeks no just Sinclair but it was always bound to hit a spell when we had to win ugly, iam a massive fan of young KT and he's only going to get better but I feel he's final ball in last 2 games been poor yet I hate picking that out because he's only human, we've missed big Rogic at times guy takes a lot a pressure off Dembele when he plays whrn he comes back be good to see, as I said in a previous post think breaks came at right time because a lot a players maybe going through the motions a bit but get this title wrapped up and back them like we've done all season to get this treble. ☘☘☘.

Is it a coincidence that Sinclair's dip in form has happened around the time his Mrs has started working again? I'm not sure if she moved up here with him and moved back down for work?

Would like Brendan to come out now and lament some of the challenges as it's getting beyond a joke. O'Dea should have been red carded for the rugby tackle on Sinclair but that was one of many. Thought KT was off the pace which is so unlike him but thought Kouassi was awful when he came on but still early days for him. Best men I felt were Armstrong and Boyata. One more win and we are champs without a defeat which is incredible although I'm certain we will lose before the seasons out HH.

Definitely thought Kouassi looked out of place on a day where there was few stand-out performances. Time enough tho.

Boyata did well but suspect at there goal although it was some strike.

I fear eboue is going to be another 1 of these players who just doesn't cut it 1 of a long line over the years but time will tell I suppose! Think we should give dembele a break for game or 2 and give Griffiths a wee run!

Think the breaks came at the right time tbh think a lot of a players going through the motions a wee bit but 1 game away from being champions and hopefully just 2 games away from the treble, Bhoy Kouassi been here 5 minutes let's give him a bit a time guys, been a fantastic season so far and hopefully will get better. ☘☘☘.

The boy eboue hasn't even had chance yet neldo yet you've got him shipped out already. we've had it good this season with our performances, because we hit a bit of a dip people on there back. Cut them some slack there not robots.

Van dijk looked hopeless his first few games lads let them adapt and feel they're way into the team and style Scottish footballs a hunner miles per hour.

19 Mar 2017 20:53:12
the boy will need to get up to the speed of frantic scottish football, after the league is won he will probably get a run of games from the start to give him experience of the league, and probably the more promising youngsters will get a run out too, the hard work is done in the league now, hopefully the sharpness will return for the semi then the final.

Its tough coming off the bench into a game going at 100 miles an hour with dundee kicking everything that moves culture shock for the bhoy . give him time he's been here 5 mins.

He does it quite often, talks to players about things they did during the game that impressed him. Some may find it condescending but I don't think that's the intention.

Cheers ed
Streams were poor - paid the now tv voucher price
Wasn't the best value for money, but I'll take three points all day long.
I think BR will show faith and pick the same players until we're over the line, then I think a few changes are needed.
I'd like to see gamboa on the right for a change, griff in for a few, and. If Tam Rogic back pulling the strings- even if it's only for 67mins.
Get the title in the bag and start building for next year.
I was watching macgregor today, I like him although I think he lacks that final element of quality, I was hoping eboue would have that bit extra, time will tell.

His screamer from 40 yards against them 👌 All the more amazing that it was set up by a phenomenal pass from gary caldwell. A rare thing indeed.

Mitch Sean Sookie Nakamura was undoubtedly a talent but for me Van Hooydonk was the best dead ball specialist and free kick taker I've seen at Celtic Park. His consistency hitting the back of the net was incredible in fact I think he was better than Beckham. ☘️.
