The team are struggling to score goals and several players have been under-performing all season.
We seem to start most games well, but if we don't get an early goal, we get predictable and careless.
However, the reaction at the end of that game today shows how much it meant to the manager and players and there was a unity and determination shared with the support I have not seen for ages.
The lack of confidence we have felt and the negativity about the direction we are taking has not vanished overnight, but that result, coupled with the mutton molesters bottling it yet again could be the catalyst to jolt the team into a successful run-in?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

20 Mar 2016 17:04:04
Rubbish, there is no unity among the player, as is evident by their display, i. e. Lack of ambition, no commitment, no passion. The manager can just about see preserving his salary for another year, no by any tactics or inspiration, but by Aberdeen missing the boat. I have said it. Many times before, do not be fooled by RD, he is Elequent and maybe a nice guy, but he is not a manager for Celtic FC, he should have been gone long ago, and not e allowed to put another title at Celtic on his CV.

Maliki, I have to disagree with you, R D is certainly the manager of Celtic and could well be for quite a while . You may not like him and you may think he doesn't deserve the job, but the Board appointed him and the Board will dismiss him if they think his time is up. I don't think R D, is the type of man who is going run away just because the SMSM don't want him continue to lead Celtic ahead of their old allies from Govan . He won't allow the small number of difficult, so called Celtic fans, to shove him out the door, as he strives to return Celtic to their rightful place, despite all the obstacles these difficult Celtic fans erect to stop him .

Agree2 Disagree6

19 Mar 2016 22:28:06
Today March 19th 2016 could turn out to be the decisive day in the SPL . As I watched Celtic struggle against a Kilmarnock side who enjoyed very lenient refereeing 3/ 4 clear cut yellow card offences, Celtic players fouled on way to goal didn't even seem to merit a verbal warning . Ref relaxed in second half and booked Celtic players . Myself and many around us thought the Sheep would be top of the league tonight . It all changed by Rogic magic goal which earned us 3 pts and Rogic a yellow card .
By the time I came down to earth Motherwell had beaten Aberdeen 2-1 . This was unbelievable as we led to believe that the Motherwell team had spent the week on Trolleys at Motherwell's Accident and Emergency seriously ill.
However they were 'Well enough to take control over the sheep and shepherd down the league ladder .
A great wee late present from St Patrick all round.

A PR for Club 29 in Royal Exchange Square just asked me if I was coming in, stating that "David Moyes is in tonight". The guy must be getting desperate, just hanging about hoping Lawwell spots him haha.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Moyes was at the Motherwell v Aberdeen game. I expect the papers will be full of his advice to McInnes and Aberdeen tomorrow.}

19 Mar 2016 23:10:37
I considered going in just to land a wee Ronny Roar on his chin but my much better half was with me. If I'm honest is rather stick with Ronny than have that clown at our club. He's went way down in my estimations after his patter during the week. Good to see the passion from Ronny today albeit after yet another dreadful performance. HH.

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I think he was entitled to enjoy the after match celebrations today.}

20 Mar 2016 00:24:35
Moyes was there watching what he's up against next season.

20 Mar 2016 00:51:33
Anyone with any feelings for Celtic would have to let them out at the end of the game or else he could burst with emotions .
One of the great things about football it only takes seconds to create and score a goal and after all the fiddling around today to come up with a very special shot capable of winning any game is very special and will be remembered for a very long time .

I honestly think Ronny was 1 minute away from loosing his job till Rogic scored that screamer! We won so we will never know but that was poor today! We hardly created 1 chance! Killie probably created the better chances although we had most of the possession. But come on guys it's crap to watch! No fight in the team whatsoever I thought we were just going to limp to a draw cause nobody in the team looked like they wanted to Win! Where has the players passion gone! If we had drawn I think the board would of had to act or risk loosing the league! But like I say we will never know cause we won! And Aberdeen lost so all looks Rosie now! But let's be honest we are horse s**t at the moment don't fancy us to beat anyone!

Super scoreboard on Monday night will be hilarious wee Hugh will be gutted rogic scored in the last minute and Aberdeen and mcoist 2 (mcinnes) shat it again? Celtic fans need to start pointing out to these Scottish football experts on these type of platforms that Ronnie and the man with the magic hat the tactical genius actually have nearly exactly the same numbers this year as in losses goals for against and both teams have vastly more resources than their opponents so why is it only our Ronnie who gets pelterss?

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 00:56:14
We have no idea whether big Ronny would have walked if we hadn't won today .
I doubt it, because I very much doubt if Celtic have a replacement lined up.
Our board will keep Ronny until the league is definitely over is. Won or lost . Or else they will run with him another year . A result will not terminate his employment unless it decides the league .
That's the way I see it .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 18:26:29
Stand up for the champions. We were rank today. Some players were so far off it it was unreal. Another clean sheet. Charlie and Erik look like a steadying influence at the back. Brown, commons, CKR and Griffiths were all mince. Nothing the manager can do about that except use subs on the day and possibly drop the serial under achievers for the next game. And talking of sub's, leaving forrest on the bench and bringing Rogic on worked well for him. Some goal!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

19 Mar 2016 18:03:47
Rate Ronnie or not that is game set and match in the title race, 4 point gap eases the pressure right off and they won't be any closer for the rest of the season.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

19 Mar 2016 18:22:18
It's not over until it is mathematically impossible but it is nice to have the gap and put the pressure on them.

As things stand, if the gap remained at 4 until we meet and then we lost against them, it would only be 1 point between us and a nervy run in.

To help settle the nerves, we need to win our game in hand and stretch the lead to 7 and that gives us a good bit of breathing space.

Another point about today and our season in general our weakest position seems to be in the middle of midfield when this should be our strongest considering the amount we have commons biton brown johansen have been below average mcgregor rogic have be OK Christie and Allan haven't had a chance yet looking forward to henderson coming back if I'm been honest. was never a fan of mulgrew in midfield and was always quick to say how bad he was but has been brilliant since moving back I would drop brown and give him the captains armband I know it won't happen but brown looks lost just now.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

19 Mar 2016 17:54:54
I think brown is playing with an injury.

Agree0 Disagree3

19 Mar 2016 18:06:23
I wouldn't have Mulgrew anywhere near the team. A mile to slow and his passing is a joke.

Agree2 Disagree1

19 Mar 2016 18:32:09
Since he has been back at center half how many have we conceded. if brown is injured why is he playing anything less than 100% is not good enough imo.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 18:57:13
Gordo87 we here the exact same thing said about ambrose in the run up to the ross county game.
Mulgrew is far to slow. Better teams will target that.
He is OK as a stop gap but is in no way a long term solution
But rather him than boyata.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 19:44:04
True kev83 I'm not usually his biggest fan but he's been a lot better at cb than anywhere in midfield.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 20:19:26
I think some people just like to moan.

If you look at this logically I think we would all agree that Sviatchenko is the best CB we have just now that is fit. Therefore, the choice is who should partner him?

Here are your choices:

1. Mulgrew
2. Ambrose
3. Boyata
4. Lustig
5. Simunovic

Choice 5 is injured, which leaves 4 options. If you play Lustig it means you need to play Ambrose at RB as Jancko is injured and Fischer is out on loan. So we only really have 3 options. In my opinion Mulgrew is the best option from the remaining 3. If you would also play Mulgrew from those 3, then you need to stop moaning.

Granted he is not Franco Baressi and when everyone is fit I'm sure he will be demoted to the bench for Simunovic. Right now we need to stop this moaning and in fighting and get behind the team and try and roar them onto success. When the season is over, that is the time to assess current players/ manager and discuss possible replacments. As things stand elements within the media and the blue noses want us to fight and implode, let's not give them what they want.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 18:26:03
After a fantastic exciting last minute, wondrous strike, I thought all Celtic fans would have spent the rest of yesterday celebrating what could well turn out to be the decisive day in the League .
Someone has to revert to type and bring up the season long complaint about our inaduacies . Surely some people on here can't really be Celtic supporters .
Can we not have pleasant thoughts about our team, even if they are unrealistic, surely we have highlighted our weaknesses on a daily basis and no doubt will again.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 22:08:17
Firstly kev if browns playing with an injury then he should declare himself unfit and let someone take his place, personally as I've said before i like the boy but think his time with us is coming to an end,
2nd desh, your comments on mulgrew couldn't be more wrong, for the past few weeks he's been oir most solid player along with young tierney
And he's also one of the best passers off a ball at the club,
Ken why do we not just get behind OUR team until season finishes instead of slating them all the time?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2016 09:08:51
Falkirk players play with injuries all the time. It's up to the manager and medical staff to declare he's not fit.
As for mulgrew he is NOTHING more than a stop gap.
Everything that is being said about him was being said about ambrose after he came back in then we went to hampden. Neither is good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2016 16:08:52
Fair play kev but do you not think it would say more about scott brown as a captain to say " hold up i'm not having a positive effect on the pitch, i'm not fit " and take himself out the equation for the greater good of the team, as i said i really like the boy he's done us s turn but i really think his time is at an end.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2016 17:32:46
For all we know Falkirkbhoy brown has raised concerns about it and maybe the manager has asked him to push through.
Martin oneill was famous for that.
Like I said earlier it's the manager and medical staffs job.
The manager must see like we all do that brown is struggling so why pick him?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 17:23:33
As poor as we were today I was pleased to see the reaction of all the players and how they responded to Ronny at full time. Hopefully this wonder goal kick starts a real togetherness, that can push us over the line. Also think we have to start playing Roberts from the start. He's one goal or special mazy run from bursting with confidence and really being a positive influence in our play. Time for everyone to really support the team and cheer the good stuff and encourage when things aren't so good. Hail hail!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

19 Mar 2016 20:22:40
This has to be the team until Simunovic is back:

Gordon

Lustig Sviatchenko Mulgrew Tierney (assuming he is back by 2nd April)

Bitton Johansen? (this is the only one I am not sure off)

Roberts Rogic GMS

Griffiths

Brown and Commons have been utter pish and need dropped as we can't afford to carry them.

Were people saying Rony had lost the dressing room . It doesn't seem so after Saturday, not only has he the players backing him but it seems the ticket buying Celtic supporters are right behind him . IT appears that the old adage those that matter don't mind, R D, and those that mind don't matter .

Great to see a bit of raport back between RD and the bhoys too, although some object to it, you know for this exciting title run in. Most of the team/ squad have had very average seasons, with the exception of Griffiths and Tierney and the new centre backs who look promising [and better than Boyata and Ambrose].
Thankfully, Mulgrew and to a certain extent McGregor have stepped up these last few weeks and made a difference.
However, we need to start playing a lot better to have any chance of the trphies available to us.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 15:26:36
don't know what's going on with Scott brown he just doesn't have the same drive urgency and tenacity lustig doesn't have the pace anymore for full back Commons was woeful but the whole team seem to lack that bit of dig very few tackles being made and just not enough aggression for me but we got the win and it will hopefully give the squad a lift.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 16:08:30
BigD give the squad a lift? poor players must need a cuddle or a wee arm around the shoulder! They are sh**e. No heart no effort. Brown has given up. Griffiths played out wide. Joke. Lucky we got a win. This is Kilmarnock second worse team in SPL. Give the players a lift, they should be getting the sack.

Agree2 Disagree2

19 Mar 2016 16:19:52
yeah and it's a great help when we have people like you in the support that are constantly on the player's and management's back a win is a win 3 point's in the bag and yes it will give the player's a lift and maybe help give them confidence but i bet you were hoping we would lose so you could bitch about it.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 18:23:19
BigD why are you attacking me when the evidence is clear. We scraped a win from the second bottom team in the SPL. You dare to accuse me of wanting Celtic to lose. What do you know about me? Let me be clear, I want Celtic. To win every game. If you need to personally attack me to try and make a point then that is up to you. It is supporters like you that are sending this club backwards. You accept the sh**e we serve up and you think it's ok? Well remember your comments when we go out of the cup to Sevco and then consider if this whole management team are still going to get your support! In the meantime don't say I wNt Celtic to get beaten at any time. Who do you think you are?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 19:38:47
you were the one who replied to my post in a very negative way so don't get all butt hurt when i come back at you i was being critical of some players and commented that the win would help lift the spirit's of the team i think i am entitled to my opinion same as you and i will back my team through thick and thin that's who i am I'm not on here all the time complaining like you saying you want the shite players sacked so get a grip support the team or don't i really couldn't give a monkey's but some people seem to forget that confidence plays a big part in the game and if supporters are moaning and groaning at every little mistake then they will go into their shell and not play at their best so just support the bloody team faithful through and through.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 22:03:10
Big D . Anyone that doesn't understand the importance in confidence building, doesn't understand team sport . Just going back 15 years to the start of this century we have had performamances mirroring today's every season . Probably too many, but today was an example of a game that we never got up to pace . Nobody was sprinting on to passes and passes were often laboured, side ways or back wards . As I said every season we have got bogged down in one game or more in the same way and like today it a moment of magic to win this type of day .
At this end of season, as we are all Celtic fans we should welcome our win today and look forward to our remaining 8 league games with confidence, which will spread to the stands and players .

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 00:23:51
Old Bhoy i welcome the win wholeheartedly I think the squad will get a big lift you could see how they celebrated now they can go into training lifted and in good spirits and hopefully as you said go on into the end of the season and wrap it up.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 11:31:03
Old Bhoy and bigd let's see what happens over the next two or three games. The standard of play is poor. We can forget CL qualification again next season if we keep playing like this. We will win the league because Aberdeen won't get enough wins. As long as the gullible keep accepting this dross PL will continue his policy of buy cheap and hope we can sell a player a season for £10 mill to balance the books instead of trying to build a football team. It's clear that you don't really care and are going to accept whatever is put in front of you. That's not supporting that's being a sheep.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 19:25:22
For me champions league is a bonus not a right and seriously unless supporter's stop attending matches en masse then sorry but you'll just have to deal with it and I've said it before on here I would get rid of lawwell Desmond park the Tory lord in fact just get a new owner and board altogether and get people in who want a football team and not people looking for dividends cheques but until then I will continue to give the manager and the players my support.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2016 19:53:58
No Johnnymac, I am sorry you don't seem to understand the concept of how to win the league . In Scotland 3 points are given out for a win and one point for a draw . The points are accumulated and the team with the most points win the league .
Nothing to do with the number of wins Aberdeen have .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2016 13:25:43
Boring boring boring how anyone can watch this crap and say this is good enough i do not understand. What has RD bought to this club poor play poor players no style no creativity no energy no drive no goals no way. No one player gets pass marks so far Lennon, O'Niel, Strachan would be screaming on the touch line at this. How long is this going to continue.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

19 Mar 2016 13:41:24
Jonace

I think we know this I think the silent majority understand that the " punt " on RD hasn't worked.

I believe that there's an inevitability about RDs tenure.

The current " backing " comes in spite off a series of underwhelming performances. There's a recognition that we will be lucky just to complete the season with a 5th title

Failure to win today may see a change as the board will not be prepared to risk the loss of a league title

The fans will try and roar us to success as they know that, if ever a 12 th man was required, it's now given the very low ebb the club finds itself in.

Agree1 Disagree2

19 Mar 2016 14:07:37
We really do look a poor side, it's shocking to say but we could definitely lose the league . We look short on confidence, speed and passing is poor in the final third. I'm not sure if a change of manager would help at this late stage . I thought Aberdeen would bottle it under the pressure but they seem to be enjoying it while we seem to be wilting under it . Troubled times.

Rabmac R D getting attacked in media should be seen by supporters as a good thing . R D is regarded by the Scottish media as a threat to the Rangers supremacy . Keith Jackson is checking to see if he should add Ian Duncan Smith to the Celtic Manager list - he's got everybody else on it😌.

No one with more than 100 brain cells listens to Keek Jackson.

IDS would be better than RD ; he's a bigger name for a start and would have no issue with cuts.

If you doubt that the media currently have a vendetta against Celtic and our manager then you may want to rethink after looking at these stats.

Celtic and ragers have both lost 3 matches in the league.

Celtic and rangers both sit top of their leagues.

Celtic have scored 72 goals and rangers have scored 75 goals.

Celtic and rangers are both competing against teams with vastly lower budgets.

Celtic have let in 20 goals and rangers have let in 21 goals.

Celtic and rangers both suffered a spell when they lost form.

So why does warburton not get ripped apart but Deila does? In actual fact Deila has a better record as he has got to group stages twice in Europe and already won the double and warburton has won no silverware in Scotland.

Rabmac, I text my mate almost the exact post you've just put up there after watching what was an enjoyable final 6 minutes of lower league football (I was watching emmerdale before that) . Warburton is treated like a hero for Rangers having a very similar record to us in the league below!

They might have raised there game for a couple of cup games against SPL teams, but they'll drop points all over the place next season.

I also agree that although we may have had a poor European campaign, when you look at qualifiers and all its an extra 12 games where we have to go further than alloa.

Good point bud!
