I know there are plenty Irish pubs in Benidorm but any bhoys know of a good Celtic pub in the Levante area? I'm quite close to the Shamrock and the Bodhran. Any tips? Cheers In Advance!

Had a bad experience in the shamrock man, I'm also one of the most superstitious people out there haha please stay away from there this weekend in particular.

Superstition is like religion. It's all in your own head.

We will win or lose on how we play. That's it. There isn't an invisible man in the sky who has a superstitious dept who oversee coincidences and make you think it's being controlled from some woo woo HQ. ;)

Aw naw, there's a black cat in my house. wait a minute, that's my beautiful wee Sam. False alarm. Phew!

So my "imaginary" ex bear pals have told me of the bets they have put on.
Harzard first scorer (bet may be down already as he is doubtful lol)
group betting of Borussia 0-1,0-2,1-2 at 9/ 4
So they stand to lose REAL money.
Some of these guys I have known for years and they are well aware of what I post on here as I tell them and show them.
An analogy I like, someone said it is like a comedian talking about their mother in law.

No offence Tim but I ain't interested in the slightest about your "ex bear pals" bets.

Mother in laws?

The other night I heard the door being chapped. I knew it was the mother in law straight away as the mice were throwing themselves onto the traps.

Boom boom. Les Dawson.

Dont agree about getting boring. Its good to hear about the other side now and again and Tim's posts are generally pretty good. Keep winding them Tim.

Guys I had to live through the "EBT cheating years" and all their gloating, so when it's our turn to gloat, I give it back to them LARGE.
Besides they are so easy to wind up lol.

Tim, you are often very funny and I think you hit the nail on the head as to what they think and do. Keep it up and for the "odd" ones who don't appreciate, sure they don't have to annoy themselves by reading your posts.

Keep at Em Timalloy. I too have few bear buddies nice guys in the main; but deluded to the point where a good psychiatrist would have their work cut out. Still great fun to be had with all their nonsense. HH.

Craig Thomson being wheeled out for Sunday was as certain as my next shite. I guarantee there will be a good few honest mistakes on display and one or two very controversial moments - and a red card or two?
Not saying he's biased or anything, but just wait and see.

He is the dodgiest ref going and he is bias.

Agree4 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 19:30:08
ha ha guys my paranoia is rubbing off on you, wonder what the EPL players and fans would make of the referees choices up here, down there they only LIVE NEAR the ground, up here our refs travel on supporters buses or are sons of proven bigots yet still get chosen to referee team they support.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Oct 2016 08:52:41
biased? take it you've never seen him referee any rangers games? who would you be happy with? Peter lawell or chris Sutton refereeing it? even a celtic fan like collum isn't enough for the conspiracy theorists on here.

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Oct 2016 14:25:07
I would put money on rangers penalty and red card against us. He has plenty of previous for it.

Cee, do u remember the SFA Cup game when the police had requested that the Celtic score should be kept down especially in the first half and the biased bigoted Thompson stopped L Griffiths running through on goal to give Celtic a free in .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Oct 2016 23:15:29
Cee, sure have seen him referee your games. If he could tap the ball in the net or go down in heap to give you an honest mistake then he would. Bent as a banana and as biased and most arrogant example of one of the people you could meet.

18 Oct 2016 18:23:58
I'm hearing the King of the honest mistake will be in charge of helping The Rangers overcome the mighty Tic.

Just hope Gordon has seen this and gets some penalty practice in.

I hear M Lustig has trained this morning, certainly some people seem to be getting training and match preparation right .
Wednesday's match is the first match that I can remember when the Manager has had everyone fit and ready .

According to reports the Germans could have FOUR key players out for tomorrow's game making it "easier" for Celtic which I do not buy into.
A big club like the Germans will have good replacements and if everybody thinks back to the start of our CL campaign and all the injuries we had, including playing bombscare Ambrose, yet we still got through.
So yes it should help Celtic but only if we take care of business and play our A game.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

18 Oct 2016 16:23:06
I never pay attention to all the pre-match speculation; as all the top European clubs have much better technical players than us in their squads and as you say it is always about how we prepare and handle them on the night. As long as our better players are on their game, the team handle the nerves and the defense/ goalie avoid basic mistakes, we can match anyone at Celtic Park.
This is a very big week for us and two good results will set us up really well for a great season?

Timmalloy I can't agree with you when the Govan giants are missing four players they are not their dynamite selves .

Was just having a look at the sevco page and some tit had mentioned that if Celtic and sevco do eventually get the chance to join this proposed Atlantic league it would be the way to stop us winning 10 in a row, just got me thinking. What would you rather have,10 in a row or join a better wealthier league? Thoughts. HH.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

18 Oct 2016 11:56:32
I'm happy in Scotland. Not the greatest league but it is our league.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 12:50:21
I think we're terrible hypocrites at times when we complain about the biggest clubs ring fencing the majority of the CL money and threatening to jump ship and yet we make far more money than anybody else domestically and some fans want us to jump ship to a richer league.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I've said it before, Kev, a lot of the support aren't angry about the big teams breaking away to form their own league, they're angry because Celtic aren't involved. If Celtic were involved they would be delighted. The same people who moan about the SLY/EPL money would be doing cartwheels down London Road if we were invited to join them. They really don't have a problem with the SLY/EPL deal or the money involved, their problem is that Celtic aren't getting it.
I wonder how long the fair-weather supporters and glory hunters would stick around if we joined an Atlantic League and never won a league title again?
Who's to say we wouldn't just be like an Everton or Southampton in the EPL in this Atlantic league? How many supporters will stick around when we aren't the top-dogs or challenging for titles, will Celtic Park sell-out for a Celtic v Copenhagen match where we're 4th in the league and they're 7th?}

I believe any breakaway leagues will have a short shelf life, be it Atlantic or the big boys.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 14:31:57
I would rather play in Scotland, the aim should be to try and raise the standard of our own league.
I read somewhere at the weekend that Mark McGhee said he would be happy to go back to Lanarkshire with a 3-0 defeat, I know that Celtic should always be favourites in these games but surely teams have to be a bit more positive than that.
If that's the attitude of the manager, then how on earth do you motivate your players, they are already beaten before they go on the park with that logic.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 14:55:53
if the powers that be had a braincell between them and restructured the leagues ( 2 / 3 larger leagues ) , i think a lot more fans would stop talking about the breakaway etc, . would remain in scotland myself but got to admit i'm bored senseless playing the same teams at least 4 times a season, if the top and first joined to make twenty teams, surely it would be a more competitive league?, as they would only play us twice, plus we would cut down on the crap that gets flung when we play the first order, hate the money that gets flung at the english leagues but like the idea of a top twenty tier and twenty odd in the next tier ( Epl and Championship) . if we were to follow along those lines i think the league would be more entertaining, plus more competative for the other teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 16:08:06
I personally wouldn't listen to a single thing on a sevco page and it just goes to show there mentality if they want to leave there country because it would stop 10 in a row, it sums them up perfectly.

This breakaway talk is a pile of mince and getting really old.
How long has it been doing the rounds now, 10 15 years?

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Oct 2016 14:29:54
Agree with a lot of what your saying Ed but surely we could be doing more to promote our own league and finding ways to increase our own revenue. How the EPL can justify the money that's thrown into that is beyond belief.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd like to see BTSport get exclusive rights to the Scottish game. They seem to put a lot more effort into their presentation and in general talk the game up more than Sly.}

18 Oct 2016 16:47:46
Going back to your point ed, I will forever be an all seasons fan regardless of league or league position tho can't speak for everyone. I've never actually stopped to think about it but tbh I'd we did breakaway I think I'd miss it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - For the first time in most of our lifetimes there's a chance that Celtic won't win another trophy for 10 maybe 20 years. I don't think a lot of people have given that much thought, what would be an acceptable level for us to finish in a new league before there's calls for the manager's head etc
Will the next generation of youngsters going to enjoy going and watching Celtic and them not lifting trophies or would we be pushing them to sit at home and tune into Man City v Barcelona in the Super-Dooper Big Boys League?
I'm not saying that we'd never challenge or win any new league btw but I'd imagine even 2 or 3 in a row would be rare in any new league, what is there to hold Celtic fans attention if we're sitting 5th in March or April, remember there's no CL to qualify for either.
I'd give it two or three years of not winning the league and Celtic fans would be campaigning to get back into the SPFL.}

18 Oct 2016 16:51:32
I wouldn't be over excited by Atlantic League or any other false partnership. As you say Ed the excitement of middle of the road teams would soon die away .

I was reading Skye's takings in the EPL is now 20% down on this time last year . If that is true, if more and more people went on streams, the EPL itself could be a problem.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - That's good to hear, Chris. I can never understand the people that boycott The S*n yet continue putting money into Murdoch's pocket via Sly.}

Doesn't matter to me who we play.

Not going to lie ed I would be interested in an Atlantic league. This is all theoretical talk, but certainly would find it entertaining.

I don't believe we would be a below top 4 team ever which would be exciting to see the competitive nature of the league. I believe there would be good investment in the league from tv deals as well as sponsorship. It would attract a higher calibre of player to Celtic Park and no doubt would change the style of Scottish football.

I for one look forward to the day when young kids are excited about getting the new Celtic strip instead of a man city strip in this day and age. i'm sure youll agree with some of the points, as i agree with yours regarding glory hunters leaving and lucky to win 3 in a row in that kind of league. But i'd rather watch a competitive exciting league with a different style of football than waiting for a Southampton to hand pick our best players and our team to dwindle down to a bore style of football again.

I would be delighted with both and hope it happens, we are starting off by far the wealthiest and if the league becomes wealthy we should still be the wealthiest and would need to continue to use our wealth wisely and well and keep the strongest squad.
