Anyone know if Guidetti gets to join the european fray at a certain stage in proceedings, should we progress, etc?

{Ed007's Note - If we qualify he will be eligible, we just need to register him like a new signing in January with our updated European squad.}

Thanks Ed: I was hoping as much.

Johansen played further forward what a difference
and I have to hold my hands up Mulgrew had a good game in that position to. Well done RD good set up hope that was not a one game wonder

That was a lot better today, I think having Lustig and Matthews back, made a big difference, as they are more reliable than Ambrose, who although whole hearted, makes too many mistakes.
I hope with the run of home matches we have coming up, that we can get a run going, and the players can get the self belief that has been missing so far this season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

The balance with Lustig on the right and Emilio on the left was, I think, the main source of our success today. Thankfully Emilio doesn't look to be too crocked.

Just back from Egypt been missin the banter.Great result so well done lads and the manager too. My opinion so far is when we play we destroy teams in spfl easily.Problem is we only done it twice. Also I think when the opposition turn up against us we struggle badly, so can we beat teams who play well against us? Jury out so far. The mark of champions is grindin out results when we not at our best, so this for me is the benchmark for us going forward as we not really done that yet so let's hope so as no team can play well every week.My question to all is if we won the league by under 10 points would this be embarassin? Or even just pipped it by a win or 2 in last few games is this acceptable?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

If celtic won the league on goal difference it wouldn't bother me one iota for we would still be champions.im sure we were not at our best when we ground out victories against Aberdeen, st mirren and dynamo Zagreb.it somehow doesn't matter with some fans when we win 5-0 they will find something to moan about.imo this team are beginning to get used to the managers way of playing, so stop the nit picking and back the manager and the team.killy.

Shame you came back from Egypt lol

We'll stayed Killy this forums at its busiest after a bad result get Ronnie out the door bring back Lennon maybe if people put the same effort into supporting the team thather than moaning abt it some people are never happy lol stokes seems to be getting his form back keep up the good work bhoys this could be a weird season who's to say wee can't win the treble strangers things have happened specially in football hahaha

Agree1 Disagree1

No moaning there Killy just cold hard facts that we have not beat a team yet in the spfl who gave us a game. And where do you get the rubbish that because some us don't take to RD we want NL back I don't think I read 1 post that said that from anyone.

Apologies then I was on hols last wk.

Craig's white just because people on the forum are not happy with Ronnie does not mean they are not supporting the team. I am not a Ronnie supporter and despite the win yesterday my view has not changed. I think it shows how concerned we are when a win against bottom of the league team is seen as some kind of a turning point. I support the team and am at every home game. I have a 720 mile round trip to watch a Celtic home game so let's seperste supporting Ronnie with supporting the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll said johnnymac, rd is being pushed forward as the new murinho, a 5-0 mauling against a team who will probably be relagated this year us is no great feat.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Oct 2014 13:30:55
Who mentioned murinho because I certainly didn't sum people just need to give the guy some slack

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't mind giving credit where its due but I will also post criticism - can't have it just the one way and I'm sure Ronny more than understands that.

Was good to see yesterday and hopefully back to back wins v Astra!

What a difference with no Ambrose in the team, even a half fit Lustig is head and shoulders above him.
Hope the injury to Izzy is not too bad but for Astra game I would play Mathews at left back, keep Mulgrew beside Brown in middle as they offer better protection.
Ronny has a choice up front, does he play Scepovic or Commons in Guidetti's place, I would start with Commons as him and Stokes have better understanding.
Young McGregor looked better today also, the wee break has done him good, with Lustig/Mathews now back surely it is time to send Ambrose on a long holiday.
The team played really well today, but still made no inroads on the teams above them, Delia must now get us going on an 10 game winning run to climb the table.

That's more like it today should have been a lot more though lustig back makes us a lot more stronger at the back just a pity about izzaguire hope it's not to bad an injury past few games been getting back to his best but all in all great performance keep it up bhoys

Terrific first half and a lot of good football; Izzy will be sadly missed as he is the form player and brings out the best in Stokes. There was a difference in the second half without Izzy and Guidetti - even though we took our foot off the gas - it should have been 8 or 9.
Anyway great to see the team getting back to business at what could have been a dodgy venue.
Much better at the back without Efe and Johansen was the busiest player on the park.
Well played Celtic.

Very concerned about Izzy's injury today, looked like a really nasty one. Would expect Mulgrew to play LB on Thursday against Astra which is a pity because I feel Brown & Mulgrew always form a good defensive midfield partnership (allowing Johansen to play a more attacking game). Great first half today, well done Ronny and the bhoys. Crisis? What crisis?

Much more like it. Look far better with no efe and I know he gets a hard time but with Charlie back allowing Johansen a more advanced role he also let's the cbs get forward from time to time. If i'm nit picking for the time and space he gets emilios crossing has to be better but its nothing we don't already know and like I say i'm nit picking. More of the same in the 2nd half please :)

Delighted with this showing and credit where its due!

Johansen like a different player. Ronny getting a few players back from injury and making a difference woo hoo :=D

The 'stats' are now goals

Believable3 Unbelievable0

What a difference a team without efe ambrose makes! I Geniunely believe this is celtic back to playing the way we should be and have something (provided club back Delia ) to build on.

I hope in january club goes on hunt for a promising youth RB, to act as cover if Lustig/Matthews are injured.

It would be interesting to find out how many big games Ambrose has cost club.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would expect you to know as you have watched Efe closely . Unfortunately for Celtic he hasn't been the only one who has cost us big games
Efe has used his speed in big games and small to divert trouble and stop opponents having a shot at goals, so he has saved us as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think there has been a few players missing as well as Efe in the team, would also love to see a decent centre back to considering Denayer is on loan.

Commented the other day Ronny has been missing most of his right sided players with Lustig, Matthews and Forrest all being injured - trouble is, Matthews and Forrest are a pattern of injuries. Got to agree DN, a RB would be a good addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

And you forgot to mention Chris that I am not the only one who has been watching closely. Please don't try and embaress yourself by trying to defend Ambrose. He is absolutely shockingly bad for both club and country.

Looking forward to the "But it was a poor team we were playing" at the end of this game, what do you reckon ed lol

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm just talking to Ed001 about it in the Eds chat widget, he reckons it'll be nothing to do with Deila, the players are working harder to try and get a move to Bolton with the Chosen One.}

How could it be Deila with his crazy fitness and diet regimes. It's obviously the sugar in the coke that's given the team a spark

Well after 30 minutes, this performance has been brilliant.

Team is looking in a better shape. Lustig at RB, Mulgrew as a CDM, Johanson further forward, Stokes is not a striker but ave been impressed since he moved out left seems quicker and has less pressure to be the saviour in terms of goals.

What a start to the weekend for me anyway. Had my 3rd baby girl on Friday and now the hoops are finally showing some signs of progression.

{Ed007's Note - Brilliant Kev, congratulations to you and your Mrs (beer)

Congrats Kev I'm sure you'll be looking forward to THREE "Boyfriend" talks

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I put this on my nieces Facebook page and it seems to have done the trick so far (add name at ******):

Rules for dating **************

Rule One: If you pull into my driveway and honk your horn you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule Two: You do not touch my niece in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below the neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of ******* body, I will remove said eyes/hands.

Rule Three: I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact, come off during the course of the evening, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.

Rule Four: I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilising a "barrier method" of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate, when it comes to sex, I am the barrier, and I will kill you.

Rule Five: It is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have ***** safely back home, and the only word I need from you on this subject is "early."

Rule Six: I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with ******. Otherwise, once you have gone out with her, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.

Rule Seven: As you stand in the front hallway, waiting for ****** to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. She is putting on her makeup, a process that can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?

Rule Eight: The following places are not appropriate for a date with ******: Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool. Places where there are no parents, policemen, or priests within eyesight. Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce the girls to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka - zipped up to the throat. Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which features chain saws are okay. Football matches (only Celtic) games are okay. Old folk's homes are better.

Rule Nine: Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a pot-bellied, balding, middle-aged, dim-witted has-been. But on issues relating to ******, I am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, a half an acre behind the house and my friend is a pig farmer. Do not trifle with me.

Rule Ten: Be afraid. Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring ****** home. As soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit your car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought ****** home safely and early, then return to your car - there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window is mine.

Congrats matey.

Exactly the start after the International break we wanted.

Johansen looking more like the player we saw glimpses of last season.

Agree too we look decent with Mulgrew. I know there's a lotwho disagree, but of the current squad I like Charlie in the team.

We can play well without Commons;I knew it! No Ambrose too so we might even get a clean sheet!
