i see both hooiveld and o'dea scored tonight.i think thats a bit ironic considering the pure trype we have at the minute and they are currently doing well at soton and leeds respectivly

I see hoiveld scored for Southampton and o' dea scored for Leeds tonight. At a time when we are crying out for a centre half it seems 2 deemed surplus to requirements have both scored and seem to be playing well in what is considered a stronger league.
I'm not reading to much into it but it seems to sum up our luck at the minute.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Why do they seem to be playing good? because they both scored good one.

Agree0 Disagree2

Did you read the post. I said I'm not reading much into it but it seems our luck at the minute. Some people are so defensive on this site it's embarassing

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that Hoiveld is in the Southampton team says enough to suggest he is playing well. Do you think any of our current defenders would get into that team at the moment ?

not a rumour but reading this 1 and that 1 are leaving in jan window please take them all along with lennon and get some 1 in that has a clue, lennons record is a joke, worse as mowbray, strachan has done the best job for us spent very little and got us 2 champ league twice, bring him back asap, with some better players,as for bangura there is no way larsson would want us to sign a player like that the boy is RUBBISH,he makes sebo look like a striker

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Wouldn't want strachan near team again ok he won 3in a row but think his time was up he also brought us samaras loovens and brown then went down and made a total mess of boro

Timalloy message from fellow Celtic fan please please stop with the jokes they arnt funny in fact anyone who laughs is not laughing at your jokes they are laughing at you and please stop talking rot if we keep playing the way we are we will be lucky to have 60,000 combined fans over all our home games never mind sion and we will be lucky to make enough money for the police and stewarding bill.

Well seeing you didn't leave a name to reply to.....Tim is much funnier than your ignorant illiterate text.

ED007, quick visit over, until Friday. Going to watch Man City - Villareal game.
One final point about Sion getting reinstated, if we have to play them at Celtic Park, our money men will love it as 60,000 guaranteed, massive tv coverage and extra sponsorship and advertising revenue. Bring it on, Mr whyte look on and weep as Celtic make extra millions ha ha Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Take care mate.}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

That is alot of rubbish tim. We only got just over 30,000 for the Udinese game. So they are NO chance of getting 60,000 for the Sion game. Wishfull thinking on your part lol. I dont think it will be crowd puller for the TV to be honest. Wishfull thinking on your part lol. It sounds good but they are NO chance we will make millions. Lucky if it will be £490,000 if my calculations are correct. Back to the drawing board bud.
Garybhoy

Agree6 Disagree0

Tim do you live in the twilight zone mate when was the last time 60 000 fans turned up to a European game

Agree5 Disagree0

With all the hype that would surround the Celtic vs. Sion fixture happening out of nowhere (and thus people potentially taking more notice of the EL), and a chance of revenge (for both sides for different reasons) I reckon that fixture would surprise a lot of people and get nearer a full house than the Udinese game did and make a decent bit of TV revenue, but probably only guaranteed if it's played at kickoff 1945/2005. 1800 might once again alienate supporters.

ED007, I am in a good mood tonight tied up an important business matter earlier than I thought (I am back in Mrs T's good books, nothing to do with more money coming in....)
Then saw that Mr McIntyre had froze more of Whyte's money ha ha
Then read an article about Rangers could even go into administration as early as Halloween.
Then heard that BBC are finally looking into Whyte's business dealings (I guarantee HMRC will be taping the programme ha ha)
Things are slowly unravelling down Edmiston Drive way, and oh Tony, it may be boring to you but us Bhoys are LOVING it ha ha Timalloy

Evinguu, I have failed miserabely to get a debate on gers site, all I get is abuse.
I will not be back on here until friday but I think I can throw some pointers at you and get a decent reply. LOL Timalloy

Evening ed,

Not posted on here in ages, but first good to see kayal signed a new contract hopefully can get his head screwed on and start playing football again.

Secondly this sion sh*t has to stop its incredible that this farce is still going on and they now talking about 2 extra games it's just a joke.

And lastly I think what happened on Saturday was the best thing possible for Celtic as it will give them a boot up the arse and also show them that they aren't unbeatable.

Hail Hail

Boot up the arse. Should that not have happened at the tail end of last season or even after the St Johnston game this season ? Lee Clark, currently at Huddersfield Town. I know this isn't the type of name Celtic fans will want but either was Alan Pardew at Newcastle and look at them. Gone are the days where we could attract big names and I wouldn't welcome back MON.

Tony that must have been you who came up with the list of candidates for future Celtic manager , Jim Jeffries no chance , Jimmy Calderwood never ever , Nigel Worthington not likely .

Agree1 Disagree0

You wouldnt welcome back mon ,why?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does it have to be a big name all the time? St Johnstone are good at spotting potentially talented managers. So why don't we get someone in with management potential with an experienced Director of Football to advise and be available for advice.

St Johnstone, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Hearts (not Hibs!) have managers who could probably succeed in these conditions. They also try to play entertaining football

So Rangers withdraw all cooperation with the BBC. Citing the poor and biased journalism thay have been doing. Riight ok, so the only media agency pretty much asking questions about rangers off field issues is now banned from dealing with rangers!. Could this be them hitting a bit close to home and disrupts the Whyte PR machine of everything is rosy, we are Rangers we will prevail attitude.

Are they going to ban the radio scotland broadcasts of their games? if so will the money they undoubtedly receive from the bbc to do this, will this also be stopped. Or is it that they dont like awkward questions being asked in press conferences. Will they give up this little revenue? i doubt it.

So what exactly does not co-operating mean then? is it like what celtic done with the record? or will they go the whole hog and ban any dealings with the beeb?

Odd indeed, cant wait till this documentary!

Personally I think the club are protecting their interest in Kayal so we get a decent transfer fee.
Barnes was canned when he lost the dressing room Kenny Dalglish walked when he lost the place and Mowbray was dispatched when he lost to St Mirren. In my opinion NL has an unhappy and un-inspired team. We are struggling to beat ANYONE at present and the McFadden masquerade made him look silly.
Usually we are at this stage of the season and have a wee bad-patch.... But here we are struggling on hoping we hit a GOOD patch!
Between pantomime defending, players apparently wanting to leave and this Europa Farce. It's enough to make your heart go oh oh oh oh BANG!
Anyway, We need a boss that can sort this mess while it is still fix-able.

Jungle Jim

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If hearts win against rangers at the weekend & we lose we could be 4th or worst 5th ! ( that's all ifs & buts tho) a feel since the st Johnstone/commons fall out the teams been down hill. It's either Lennon has blew his top off at commons put everyone in there place (in my eyes) giving them a ballocking & if u answer back or get wide then ur dropped (just my thoughts) or we really miss brown & izzy. Would say more so brown.

This is (more or less) the same team last year that was full of beans that was just unlucky on winning a treble, fast forward to now, beat in Europe,( we do lack in that depo tho)! Lose to st Johnstone, lose to hearts, lose to rangers & are losing 3nil at half time at killie ? ok we got it back but only to a draw ?

Ledley said last week we need to win the next 10 games up to this next old firm game, so far we have fell at the 1st fence.

I think the buck stops at Lennon, don't need to say all the questions that we all ready know, (stokes,Sami, dan, etc) think he done us good to get us out a hole, he either needs someone to learn from or walk. There's 9 games left till the 28th dec how many more points are we going to drop from then till now plus playing in europe ?

Said it b4 if it was MON,GS or TM we would be doing the same thing, fix it now b4 it gets worse

Just a question on this Farce with Sion, If indeed they do get reinstated back and UEFA make up a brand new 5 team group, there is talk of the group starting all over again , does this mean as a club we will make alot more money as a result of this? I understand it will mean more games but at the moment every scottish club needs as much money as possible wherever it comes from? what do you think?

Was saying earlier though, Milliband wouldn't recognise a football if it hit between the eyes.

Today, Monday 17 October at 12. 00, as
requested by the Tribunal Cantonal Vaudois,
UEFA has presented a number of documents
explaining the various possible actions related to
FC Sion's reintegration into the UEFA Europa
League.
After a detailed analysis of the competition
regulations, UEFA's competitions division has
provided several possible scenarios for the
reintegration of the club into the competition,
without replacing Celtic FC who duly qualified
after the confirmed decisions of the UEFA
Control and Disciplinary Body and the UEFA
Appeals Body.
The first option assumes the cancellation of all
previous games in Group I of the UEFA Europa
League, and for a set of new games to be played
within a group of five, following the rules of the
former UEFA Cup group stage with teams
playing against each other either at home or
away. These matches could then be played
between 24 November and 22 December.
The second option allows for the integration of
FC Sion into Group I as an additional fifth team,
but that the results and points of the games
already played in the group remain. Eight
additional matches would have to be played,
starting at the end of November and finishing in
February 2012.
The other options, mainly valid in the case of a
late reintegration, assume that FC Sion could be
integrated directly into the round of 32,
following a qualifying play-off round still to be
defined.
All options provided also analyse every
consequence from an organisational
perspective, such as impact on club rankings,
points attributed and distribution of income.
According to the calendar all the scenarios are
possible, as professional football is normally
played in winter, and many leagues – for
example in England, Scotland and the
Netherlands to name a few – are playing
matches in December and/or January without
any issues.
Some other measures, like displaying the results
of the group as provisional pending judicial
decisions, have also been taken and
communicated to the Tribunal Cantonal
Vaudois.
Of course all these scenarios have one thing in
common, and that is a strong impact on the
other clubs in the competition. UEFA therefore
underlines the fact that the other clubs may
accept these possibilities only after a decision
made by the Court Arbitration for Sport (CAS),
as CAS is the only authority they have all
accepted as competent to rule on sporting
matters in the UEFA Europa League.
All the scenarios studied by UEFA offer the best
possibility of reintegrating FC Sion while
preserving the interests of all other clubs,
limiting damages to the competition, and
offering enough time to ensure a safe
organisation of these additional games.
As none of the suggested scenarios proposes a
first matchday before 24 November, UEFA
believes there is a strong possibility of obtaining
a decision based on the merits of the case in
CAS, provided that FC Sion accepts the CAS
accelerated procedure.
It is clear therefore that should CAS find in
favour of FC Sion, based solely on the merits of
the case of course, UEFA has carried out its duty
by examining all options to allow for the full
reintegration of the club into the UEFA Europa
League, and with full respect for the rules of the
competition.

hail hail

All that does is show that Celtic are laughable and in the Europa league and will be UEFA who look a laughing stock. If Sion are reinstated and become part of a 5 team group, Celtic will just look like the clingers on who shouldn't be there and in that event that would have been confirmed by UEFA and their own mistake. All Celtic are doing is embarrassing themselves in Europe anyway and clinging onto hope that Rangers go into administration to stand a chance of the SPL. Sad, sad times.

Agree4 Disagree1

Morning ED and all :)

please do explain how it is celtic that are laughable in this? apart from the results we could possibly get,, but that comment doesnt read like that to me.

Yes i know we are guff, and really shouldnt be in the competition. Sion were told before the games that they were fielding ineligable players, and they done it,, thus breaking the rules all celtic done was put in a protest and as a result getting reinstated and them kicked out.

Now it could turn out that UEFA were wrong to uphold this protest, or that sion just have the better lawers. How does this show that Celtic are laughable in this debacle? It shows UEFA as that surley? We didnt put us back in as clingers on it was at UEFA's behest and invite, as it says in the article Marco1888 posted. Although we are really not good enough to be there.

This has turned into the farce i and most of us expected. Sion felt aggreived , rightly or wrongly i dont think anyone really knows anymore including UEFA who are now on a damage limitation mission.

That said Sion have broken rules by going to local courts to get decisions so this could go against them at the Court of Arbitration.

A 5 team group would be interesting and i mentioned this a while ago as a possibility along with others. Could mean more money to be made aswell!! also if that happens then would we technically have made it past christmas in europe? lol

Still think there are more twists and turns to go here, I think if Sion are reinstated, they are going to push for court orders and the likes to get Celtic kicked out of the tournament, or put in a claim for the monies we earned to go to them wouldnt suprise me one bit!

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree1

All this does is show Uefa have made provision for Sion to be reinstated should CAS rule against Uefa's decision. Its a paper excercise for the benefit of the civil court ruling. CAS have already ruled against Sion and will do so again. Its got nothing to do with Celtic we are in europe and will remain there whatever happens. I fail to see how any of this reflects on Celtic in anyway. We after all are just the team that Sion broke the rules against, If It hadn't been us It would have been someone else. Also I certainly don't want Rangers to go into administration, I'd much rather they were Liquidated. Send in the bulldozers.

Mark67

Agree0 Disagree2

Dunno about sending in the bulldozers, if the decision is made before 5th november, could we not have a massive bonfire at Ibrox?...... penny for the Whyte

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

The majority of the original post is just pure unadulterated 5hit it pains me to say that Celtic are faultless in all this and if we (Rangers)had been offered another way back into europe we would have jumped at the chance as i said the majority of the post is crap but the part about Celtic hoping Rangers go into administration in order to win the League isnt to far from the truth but saying that if the roles where reversed i think we(Rangers) would be doing the same after all when you look back at the history books you soon forget how the league was won

Tony

Agree0 Disagree1

One word ... Jealously.

I have always said see if it was rangers in our boots we would be sayin more or less the same stuff like just got in the back door, etc same as the tax case if it was Celtic in that state then the rangers fans would be giving us it as much as some of us are.

Back to the sion carry on. Ed u could proberly answer me this, if sion get back in & it goes to mid feb. can Celtic,Rennes, udinese(sp) & Madrid not appeal against it as there's no Europa football in jan so the next time the last 32 teams play would be in feburay while Celtic Rennes Madrid & sion I guess would be there games in jan/start if feb ? Because if that's the case our league chances are knocked as are the other teams who are playing to win the league/europe spot for next year?

Come on you bhoys in green
Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to disagree with the comment that Celtic fans want Rangers to go in to administration in order to win the league. Most Celtic fans wanted Rangers to go into administration long before the season kicked off. The more likely reason we want Rangers to go into administration is we just don't like you's.

Mark67

Lenny i rekon for it to get to that point all the teams would have to agree to an ammended elongated fixture schedule. I rekon UEFA would try to get that one nailed down as watertight as possible, they are starting to sound like they cant be bothered with this anymore and as Mark67 rightly pointed out they are listing provisions should it go tits up.

What Happens if say Athletico disagree to this but everyone else agrees? there could be a long way to go in this, and the most likley outcome is a way for them to enter the last 32 via a playoff, but against whom? so many complications here.

Ed i just cant put my point across in short to the point posts! just hope your servers can take it lol
