Can any of our bhoys in Oz, or anybody else, say anything about the boy Riley McGree? He's been called up for Australia to replace Rogic and Tosh is meant to be looking at him.

jamiebhoy7 might be able to get that info for you jim, his uncle is a youth coach in australia and coached rogic, so he might know about this boy.

Had a wee look at him on youtube on the back of your comment Jim Tim. I know these youtube videos can make anyone look good but he's 18 with only 13 senior appearances so I would say 12 minutes of highlights isn't bad for that game time. Fast on the ball and good awareness of where his team-mates are. The boy looks to have the tools to develop in to a very good player. I would support any effort to try and bring him into the fold.

Just watched Adelaide v Brisbane there Murdoch, couldn't find any clips more than 40secs on google. Crazy last ten minutes where Brisbane's keeper got sent off for an elbow at 96 mins and a midfielder had to go in goal for the pen. Adelaide scored it and won 2-1.
Anyway, on one game McGree looks tidy. Plays in the middle of a midfield 3, good on the ball, finding space with it at his feet and in little interchanges. Quite dynamic. Tried a few worldie long rangers that were poor and started to tire. On the whole, and only on one game, looks promising. Had a good game against a team who are supposed to be a lot better.

Nearly right JT just a different country lol been away for 12 weeks and back less than a fortnight mate and had loads and had plenty to do upon coming back!
JB67 is right as usual lol I have emailed my uncle so see what he says in the next day or so he was right about Rogic and also sadly about Jackson Irvine who never got a chance @ Celtic and yet within 8 weeks of signing for Ross County was the best player in Scotland outwith us and now nearly single handily holding up Burton Albion in the championship with double digit (ish) goals from CH and Midfield!

AG, Tosh McKinlay. He's working as a scout for us now. I didn't know that until I read it was him that was watching Simunovic when we signed him.

He's consistently good for Aberdeen but he's not the type of player we need to take us up a level. Plus a lot of our fans seem to dislike him after the Tonev incident.

{Ed007's Note - So sign a 29 year old mediocre RB and then what? Sell Lustig who has just signed a new 2 year deal or sell Gamboa who is 2 years younger than - and a far better player than - Logan who's not even been here a year?
Tony Ralston in the Development squad is pushing for a first team chance and there's also Sam Wardrop and Josh Kerr who I'd rather give a chance than sign Logan.
The only player in Scottish football we should be thinking of signing is John McGinn from Hibs.}

Agree with the McGinn comment from 007 thought we should have taken him when he left st Mirren remember him being a standout player for them and gave Scot Brown a torrid time have not seen him play for Hibs though.

{Ed007's Note - My mate that scouts for Accies has watched him a lot more than me over the years and said the same as you, D, we should have signed him from St Mirren. I've only watched a few Hibs games this season but he always looks the part and works his socks off.
I know that's still Championship level but we would - and have - happily send our youngsters to Hibs on loan so why not take a punt on him? He'd fit into that wee 'clique' of young Scots besides the likes of Tierney, Armstrong, Henderson, McGregor even Forrest and he would be more than capable of playing in any domestic games for us.}

Only player I would have from Scotland is patterson from hearts.
I rate him.
Good defender and is dangerous going forward. Reminds me of Lustig and I think he will develop into a right good player if his next move is the right one.

Agree witb ed the bhoy ralston could turn out a player for us if he's given a chance and my opinion of logan is purely based on ability and character nothing to do with the racist comments but again he's a knob.

Don't think I would sign Logan just like the look of him didn't realise he's 29.
Just think we need an improvement on Lustig.
If u look at the left hand side KT is always backing Sinky up ad overlapping and are a good partnership and this is our best attacking option.
Right hand side while Lustig is a good defender he seems to let Forrest go and not back him up, there is very little interplay between them.
Just think a more athletic younger right back might be needed.
