ed, about the capacity of paradise after expansion.
if the average price of a season ticket is £466 and we have 52000 season ticket holders just now, that pulls in just over £24m
we could expand the stadium to 75000 and sell the season books at £350 to 72000 supporters and make £25m.
i know there are a load more fellow tims out there that would go for the lower season book price as its over £100 cheaper and exisiting holders will be happy with the price drop too.

Bringing in only £1M more per season wouldn't make a great business case for increasing capacity. I'm not sure how much these sort of renovations cost but I'd imagine the club would be looking for them to pay for themselves by bringing in a lot of extra ST money.

granted it's only an extra £1m per season, but the happiness of the fans at cheap season tickets and full houses week in week out would be worth it.
look at the likes of bayern munich and barcelona, they sell out all the time due to cheap season tickets, nothing at all to do with superstars or great advertising revenue :)

The Board have a legal responsibility to maximise profits for shareholders, not to maximise attendance at Celtic games . If the board decides to increase capacity they will certainly not be selling cut price season books .

There seems to be a lot of talk of Jean Kevin Duverne and Srdnan Plavsic being the next 2 incomings, do you know if these are likely Ed? The fee reported for JKD has suprised a few people but it seems like that's the going rate for any youngster showing promise in a decent league. We may still be able to pick up players for a million or 2 in Scotland or Eastern Europe but any player in a country with cash is going to cost a fair bit. It just means scouting needs to be spot on. We can't afford any more Balde's or Bangura's. Disappointed that the Paddy deal seems to be fading. Thought it might when I read that City are selling Mooy for 10mil and have a buy back clause! that's crazy money. I'm sure Real and Barcelona have used this before but usually sell low then buy back slightly higher. This this happened with Carvajal and Denis Suarez, also Morata but his fee was bigger in both instances. Suppose it sums up English football. Buy him for 6mil, give City buy back option of 10mil would have suited both parties I thought.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if they are likely but we have put a bid in for Duverne and Plavsic has been identified as a possible replacement for Roberts and has been regularly scouted but I don't know if there's been any contact with Red Star.}

Cheers Ed. Hopefully get another couple in for the qualifiers then maybe once the group stage is secured we can attract a quality attacking mid who is better than Rogic and McGregor, which won't be easy to find.

{Ed007's Note - People who know a lot more than me about Plavsic say that he will eventually move into playing CAM, maybe Rodgers sees him in there already.}

Didn't crosas have a buy back clause when we bought him?
Sure it was first time I heard of it.

After we were initially linked with Plavsic, a guy who watches a lot of the SuperLiga was asked about him on social media by Celtic fans and said he's decent but never thought the boy was a standout at all. By the sounds of things our scouts have a totally different opinion.

Sure the same thing was said about Jozo.

Hi EDs there are reports that Celtic have not put a bid in for the young French def I take it they are off the mark?

{Ed007's Note - I posted yesterday morning that we had put a bid in for Deverne.}

From what I've seen Ed he likes to cut inside like Paddy so don't think playing CAM would be a problem for him. That's definitely the type we need, and why I believe, and hope, that Hayes isn't Paddy's replacement. He's more about pace and getting balls in the box where as we need someone with guille who can split defences with a killer ball, as well as being able to get to the byline. Really feel we need a player like this, especially when we go 4-3-3 and Rogic doesn't play.

Ah Skinnybhoy, my best mate. 😂

Still waiting on that marquee signing he promised us would happen after we qualified for the CL. Maybe this year!

In their absence I thought I might offer my strong source's claim that KT has bought a flat in Manchester, Armstrong was seen yesterday at Loftus Road and BR has been on phone to The Samaratans with anxiety issues of the Pedro Revolution.
