Haw Ed, spill the beans! You know something and you aint tellin!

I think you're on about Jordan Rhodes? Or am I talking pure p*sh?

Miko x {Ed007's Note - I've just explained the Rhodes situation elsewhere Miko. Money is a problem there now plus I have said before I am 99.99% certain he won't move in this window. Talks are ongoing, and at differing levels over a few players for the CF position. NL has said that it is his priority in this window, it is just a case of if any deal can be done. January is always harder to conclude deals.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Pepe is a fkn disgrace ! Never Madrid class.
Was dirty as f77k out his league so had to adopt the Mcculloch way when in this case,
It's amazing how messi stays injury free the amounts of kicks he gets per game is ridiculous! Just gets back up n gets on with it which IMO is great to see, as not many players do this at all. So good on u son, I know you'll be reading this. He's a big tim told me he fancies coming to play for us at some point. This was just after I Kicked piques head in cos shakira was all over me! Lol

Best and worst player this (half) season?

best- wanyama

worst- not sure commons for the dissapointment after last season

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Best is between ledley, wanyama, matthews and forrest....i think all 4 have been fantastic so far

worst i'd say bangura. i know he's not had much game time, but from what we've seen, he doesn't even look like a player im afraid....and he actually cost us money:S

Best -joe ledley
outstanding yet to see this guy have a bad game

first name on the teamsheet and should be made captain

For me its James Forrest with Ledley a close second. I'm not sure about my worst as a few of them, to their credit, have redeemed themselves - Mrs E

Cb

Agree2 Disagree0

Joe ledley then forest,

Ledley the fact he cost nothing just makes me smile. Celtic would be lost without him,as above hope he says for a good few years.

Worst. Cha - don't like him not good enough. Bangura - on a tight rope,seems to score in closer door games but defo not getting a real chance in the starting 11. Needs 90min at least a few times to judge him better. Commons- more intrested in KFC than CFC.

Bhoys let's have a bit of fun in coming up with name for "newco rangers" if things go pear shaped for them and they have to start again.
My idea for a name come from Mr Whyte wanting to expand brand into USA so how about the newco being called K P DODGERS ( for people who do not know area Kinning Park is near Ibrox) and in keeping with "americanisation" ground could be called
Inland Revenue Arena!

Hi Ed great site as usual. No rumours as such just on to say with the exception of Rhodes i believe Neil Lennons signings this month (if any) will be people we not heard of before. Look at the evidence recently Izaguerre Wanyame Kayal Hooper Forster Lustig Fujot Cha Bangure Ibrahim. This to me tells me he has a great scouting team since we can hardly pay fortunes any more I am more heartened by this. Also not includin McGeoch and other youngsters he got in, we in good hands me thinks lol. What u think Ed.
Rayman {Ed007's Note - The scouting network does seem to be doing a fantastic job for the club, in the present and for the future. I still think there will be a signing in this window and most people will recognise the name.}

He is currently with Slask Wroclaw after spending his youth career in England with Bolton (and loans with Luton and Stockport) before returning to Poland in 2009. That is all I know about him mate.}

The lack of imagination from the board regarding the transfer window is more worrying than it seems . We should be signing the best we can afford.buying in January provides a boost to the current season but also next. Champs league qualifiers happen during summer window. Get improvements in now and give them 7 months to settle,rather than 3 Weeks if bought in summer. Europa league showings enhanced the players values along with confidence and ability. To invest to improve is beneficial to the team AND the moneymen, a good showing in Europe next season will add value to players. It is inevitable that most of our players will move on, knowing this is to our advantage by getting a good price and avoid,where possible,good players leaving on frees.

A lack,again,of funding,to me, totally shows the vision the board have for the club is simply to get by and to be better than rangers. This is wrong

Jamie Mac (WANYAMA)

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Well said that man,
Cb

Agree1 Disagree1

In my opinion we don't need to go out and buy top class at an overly expensive price! We need a back up striker and that is it.

Rogne to me is liking having a new player in and the partnership he has with Charlie is working.

Who else would you drop out the starting 11 just now to bring in these players that you think we deperately need?

Agree1 Disagree0

Good post there, I said a couple of years ago that the ambitions and hopes of the support did not match the Board and the views of ex-chairmen and Execs have high-lighted this more and more.
As far as 'being better than Rangers' it may have escaped their notice but we have been 2nd best to a bankrupt club for 3 years and they should be ashamed.
We failed to strengthen when Strachans team needed a boost and today when NL has overcame a disastrous start to this season, the Board shouldn't be complacent, but reward the manager with a couple of quality additions AT LEAST to help finish the job and get the flag back to Paradise.

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the difference between running a company and a football club that seems to be the ma in point a lot of clubs can't get right. But hopefully we will do ok, u only have to look over the road to see what can happen when u start spending money u don't have.
CB

Agree1 Disagree0

We've already signed a right back that can also play centre back, a wide midfielder who still has to undergo a medical and gain a work permit (so likely to be a done deal) and we have a centre back tied up for the summer. Lenny is also trying to bring in a striker. My God, what do you want, Tevez, Alex, etc. Celtic are doing the right thing in a difficult economic climate, with more activity that most clubs in Britain, so well done Lenny and the board. Not to mention the players that Lenny has brought in already have us sitting top of the league and on our way to a domestic treble. Stop bl00dy moaning.

Agree3 Disagree2

It's not about wanting rid of players mate, fact is we are not good enough for champs league as far as doing ok is concerned. I want the team to be improved that's not unnatural surely? We are fairly one dimensional in our play so even a player suited to another style primarily,us improvement as it's another option which we could be doing with in my opinion

Rangers are using the monies that are due to HMRC and other creditors to provide cash flow for the day to day running of the club.

These monies are payments due since Whyte took over the club and are in addition to any monies due from the "Big" and "Wee" tax cases.

Glad you feel the same as I do re 'Sly Spots'.
My family chipped in some time ago as a gift (Royle Family style) so I could watch the games etc.
I took an instant dislike to SSN in particular as apart from an apparent competition to see how many times they can say 'England'; I found it very repetitive and American-esque - if you follow me?
More often than not there is very little to merit a 24 hour news broadcast and often when they break - 'Sky Sports understands......' It is amended or re-tracted later on as they have jumped the gun just to get it first. They remind me of a bunch of gossiping sweety wifes who canny wait to spout bad news and relay the blatantly obvious in a really patronising manner. I can only have it on for short spells during the day (never if Jim Whyte is on).
As far as the gambling goes.... The auld man used to leave me outside the 'Bookies' most weekends with a bottle of garvies cola, an mb bar and a packet a spangles for a wee treat while the regulars barged in and out scowlin and growlin at me.
So that put me off gambling for life but I did learn a lot of new words.
Sorry for rant... Will talk Celtic next time, hopefully when we have a couple of new faces to welcome?

Afternoon ED007, well today is final day of tax tribunal although verdict will probably not be known until March/April. I have enjoyed reading the now famous blog Rangers Tax Case, very informative but also what I enjoy is the corntibution by other posters no silly name calling just discussion from both sides of the fence.
Read today a very well thought out post on the silence of the Scottish press and their reluctance to investigate Rangers problems further. This particular poster quoted Martin Luther King "Let us not worry about the words of our enemies, but the SILENCE of our Friends" That sums up our feeble press men, either not wanting to know or not having the GUTS to find out, probably a mixture of both.
But as well know over the years THE TRUTH WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY OF COMING OUT!
My father always had a saying of "what goes around comes around"
Today Glasgow Rangers FC will find out the truth in that hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - The Scottish media refused to cover the story when it first came out. Their succulent lamb dinners must be sticking in their pallet these days. You can only bury your head in the sand for so long. All the PR spun by friendly churnalists has been rubbished time and time again e.g. deals with HMRC, estimates at Whytes wealth etc. It is now clear that CFC have a credit line sitting at £13 million, that is the amount that Dermot Desmond has agreed with the bank to allow the club's debt to reach before the bank can question it, Rangers have a credit facility for £0.00. They have absolutely no line of credit with any reputable financial organisation. Regardless of the outcome of the FTT, it shows the Scottish media in their true light. Remember it was rats that followed The Pied Piper into the river.}

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Timalloy:great post mate.i remember years ago saying to mates who were on the dark side about this and the stock reply was dm would take care of it.they climbed all over it when we were in trouble,even the "churnalists"(nice ed!) who were green friendly,we all remember the hearse! only now sre they crawling out of the woodwork.even darrel king who im sure has intimate knowledge of murrays colon has to tell it like it is.we have money n a credit line n still rangers fans seem to think we will go under if they do a lie peddled by hugh keevins etc. green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree5

Sorry have to get involved here. The reason the press are not getting involved is because HMRC case's are not public knowledge. What do u want the press to do? Have a guess about wot is gonna happen. Although u mite find that tax blog informative its all just guess work. After 2day the only peolpe that will know are Rangers and HMRC.

Drew {Ed007's Note - The press refused to even cover the story of there being a problem and Rangers fans regularly said 'If it was true it would be all over the papers'. Well it is all true now, and yet there is still spin about deals etc. Where was the Scottish media when everyone else in football was talking about it?}

Agree3 Disagree2

Fair enough Ed ill buy their reluctance to cover the story initially but surely u must agree that there is no point in them just second guessing the outcome of the case when no1 knows the result except the two parties involved.

Drew {Ed007's Note - Ignoring the story didn't make it go away. It was nothing to do with second guessing, it was point blank denial to acknowledge the problem. If the media had covered it by even only using records that are readily available, a lot of Rangers fans might have took it seriously without going into denial. Radio Clyde blatantly denied there was any financial troubles for months and wouldn't allow any mention of it on their phone in. It was all supposedly 'Celtic minded' propaganda etc. I have always questioned the motives of the new board and certain Rangers supporters regarding John Greig, to allow a club legend to be treated like that is nothing short of disgraceful, to vote someone as The Greatest Ever Ranger and then go on to treat him with such contempt because of his ties to the old board shows how fickle and gullible some people really are. I would think that JG is hurting a hell of a lot more about the state of Rangers than ex-Motherwell season ticket holder Whyte is.}

Ed why are you always going on about gambling and s*y sports have you had a difficult past with it or something?
i dont gamble myself not even a footie coupon anymore
but to keep blaming someone else for making people gamble
ie sk* sports is totally wrong have some will power mate
cos sky spor*s is here to stay the whole nation bar you loves
it. Its the real deal,keeps you up to date on transfers,shows you goals etc,so cmon pipe up pal and stop blaming everybody else,gambling is everywhere on telly at the match
Just say NO like zamo did......kbarry {Ed007's Note - I have never had a problem with gambling, I don't or never have gambled apart from £5 on a fixed odds coupon at the football. S*y Sports News is geared towards gambling, anyone who can't see that is either blind or stupid. The only people who love SSN is the type of people who buy red top rags and believe that everything in them is true. Anyone who claims that SSN is reliable obviously doesn't know much about what goes on behind the scenes at a football club and is also extremely gullible. It is a feeding frenzy to keep the masses happy, fill their TV time and meet their contractual obligations to their sponsors (who in a shocking revelation, the majority are gambling companies). As for the nation loving it, I think you will find you are a bit out with that estimation, I know a lot of journalists and people in football that don't watch it and dismiss it as nonsense. Sensible football fans also see it as a newspaper on TV, look through the Man Utd, LFC sites etc and see the credibility it is given on their by normal fans. If you are gullible enough to swallow their lies that is your choice, I prefer to follow reputable news agencies. I take it you buy The S*n as well because it is a great newspaper as well?}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

G'day ed. quite right to cane sky its nothing more than red top for the digital age.when have they ever broke a true story? i wish ppl like kb would wake up n realise this dumbing down of the nation is now verging on the ridiculous.reality shows,celebrity this that n the next thing and the fact that more ppl vote for x factor than an election is frightening! look at the bias n mistruths on fox,it seems to prove that you can fool all of the people all of the time the viewing figures they get are scary.just look across the city and see what happens when you tell gullable ppl every things allright.10m for jellavic?where are the bids? seems hooper is wanted more.i truly dont know how all these bingo,casino channels are allowed like you i bet once a week on fixed odds,i dont have sky n never will. keep the red flag flying mate.for all celts look at the ranger hooper rubbish today.not one direct quote.i rest my case. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - Thanks Jhedi mate, it's always nice to meet others who apply some common sense and intelligence to what they believe and what is credible or not. It's not that hard to think for yourself if you turn the TV off for a while and read a book. Don't get me started on Fox News either lol. People are up in arms about phone hacking etc yet still give their money to Murdoch's empire via S*y and buying his rags?? Society has been brainwashed by the media to lowering their standards of acceptability.}

Agree1 Disagree1

To the above posts. I can think for myself thanks. Hope the BBC are paying you well for the anti S*y propaganda.lol

Agree2 Disagree1

Very true ed
the only two things i ever believe in a red top paper is the date and price,a journalist saying ---- never let the truth get in the way of a good story. giving kelvin Mackenzie a platform on tv is beyond belief at times although the O'Reily factor on Fox News is worse ed

Shaunybhoy:agree m8.seen a bit of the boy watt n he's deffo gonna make it.clever,pacy,nice touch n great game awareness also heard he's a nice level headed kid who still cant believe he's in the hoops.early days for him tho but i think lenny might pitch him in as sub n if we are comfortable put him on.as ed says dont write rhodes off yet the key could be his dad who thinks he night not be ready for the really big move he will get.2-3 years with us getting euro experience n winning things might suit both parties.

The lad Michael uchebo that I apparently being linked with Celtic seems to look decent enough, good on deck and in air, plenty off assists and different types of goal, had a look on you tube, if we gave dearly Murphy a chance then this boy is more than worth it.

Well bhoys and ghirls what do we think of the big CB?
I see Diawara has signed for Seville in a 3mill euro deal surely a steal?? Focus now must be for a powerful proven striker who can add that other dimension to our game when we need it...the nature of the game means at times we need to lump the ball forward and we just dont have the personnell at the moment to offer that.....
Sammy aint the man!
So for the rumours:
I've heard Vardy
Davies
Uchebo

To name but a few...but going by the way we signed the Polish lad we likely haven't a clue who is coming in! I just hope its someone who can make a sudden impact!

Also hope hooperman isn't unsettled by all this transfer talk...

Every game a cup final from here on!

Bring it on

Hail Hail

Hooper to sign 4 year deal 30k a week with option of 1 extra year so if we do need to sell in summer we will at least ask for 10mil
