Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed007, My personal opinion is that it would have been nice if Ally or someone from Rangers FC came out and condemned this article or I am being just too naive? After all Rangers will not want anything untoward happening at Ibrox on top of all their other troubles. I live in hope Ally has already condemned it in tomorrow's papers. hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I think both sets of fans, and the clubs should question the motives of these headline and stories.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Unfortunately it gets everyone talking about NL and Celtic and takes the headline away from their tax issues. Who's to say its not contrived to do exactly that. It does seem to have backfired spectacularly though if this is the case.

Agree1 Disagree1

We let our football and results detract from non-footballing issues so suck it up and try and think of more ways to put us off our game!

Bhoys, lets hope tomorrow's game is all about the football, let's all go there and enjoy ourselves with no aggro.
Have a laugh with beachballs or tax etc but lets show world what we Celtic supporters are all about, supporting our team with a smile on our faces.
hail hail Timalloy

Just sent major snotogram to the daily ranger. Not abusive in any way as that wouldn't do any good but these people need to know they have a responsability not just before old firm games but all the time. If even one of our fans was to step out of line tom this rag would be all over it. They are quick enough to take the moral high ground when it comes to anything we do so hopefully if our great fans and the right minded amongst the rangers fans show their disgust at this article they will apologise {Ed007's Note - Both sets of fans should be condemning this IMO. These 'red tops' and their lackey journalists are making money and reputations off of the animosity and paranoia between the supporters. Their stock is dwindling.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree with the Ed. This rag is under serious financial pressure and they are clutching at straws to get the readership up. Maybe the taxman should check them out :)

sorry ed ,but really have to say that the gers ed is really pi55ing me off now.the amount of posts i have tried to put on their rumour or banter pages,and he constantly blanks me,yet you continue(and quite right too)to let gers fans contribute to our pages.is it just me?surely not.anyone else feel the same? {Ed007's Note - Sorry but I have no control over the Rangers site apart from talking to other Eds. There must have been a reason though.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

On the rumour page is a post. can anyone shed any light on what the fuss about a piece in the daily record.
he let me reply to it and its clear that i am a celtic fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't take it personally mate.

Sometimes my posts don't get through. It no biggie ...

Daviet

Agree0 Disagree0

You must have broken one of the rules in order for it not to get posted, or you are saying something that has already been said.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

I've had bother posting on the Rangers pages as well.

They seem to exclude posts that aren't from Rangers fans or more likely are from Celtic fans and I'm not someone that likes to post stuff just for the wind up so if I post over there it's to more serious discussions but it's kind of annoying especially when you see moronic "haw ma dug's d1ck is bigger than yoor dug's d1ck" type posts getting preference over yours (no offence but some of the guff that gets posted on there over something I'd consider decent, objective discussion is ridiculous).

Often I'd put "I'm a celtic fan but..." or whatever when contributing on stuff - usually with more serious discussions about the tax case or the Bain situation and it's ignored and deleted. Some posts where it's not relevent I've put nothing about my allegiances and it's been posted but sometimes I feel saying who your team is is important as the outsider's perspective is sometimes useful.

Just for the record I've no issue with Bears posting on here so long as it's constructive and/or potentially a laugh but would prefer the majority of senseless wind up posts to be deleted (as it gets boring after a while). Perhaps the editor and/or the majority of Rangers fans over there don't feel the same way though...

Agree0 Disagree0

I kinda agree

Sometimes it's more "fun" over here...

You can draw your own conclusions from that...

i realy got to laugh at you ed here you are again going on about newspapers because they wrote derogatory comments abot neil lennon which i to think is crossing the line but further down this page you and your compatriots are saying the papers are talking facts when it comes to rangers how can it be facts if they quote figures worked out on assumptions of what rangers may owe if they indeed owe anything at all regarding HMRC ive heard amounts ranging from 20 mil to 50 mil if we lose the tax case also can you show me where it says that whyte cant right a chq cause i clearly remember him saying he wrote one for beattie for 1 mil {Ed007's Note - I never said it had been printed anywhere about Whyte not being able to sign any cheques. It hasn't.....yet.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whit....big difference between giving an opinion on money/how a game went/how a player played etc AND inciting hatred on our streets and against one man ! - Chrissy {Ed007's Note - I stopped reading when I saw 'if they indeed owe anything'???? Must be the only Rangers supporter in the universe that isn't sure about owing the taxman, even Shooter has admitted it. It's the penalty to the smaller case he is contesting, he admits he owes the initial bill. I think that shows that money is owed. I'm glad Rangers fans come on here to get educated about their club, their own club's PR is in overdrive to keep their wee raging faces smiling.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahem

SOME Rangers fans....

daviet {Ed007's Note - I meant the invisible men Davie, the fans that still refuse to acknowledge there are serious problems within their club.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Im talking about the alleged money we owe pending the tribunal outcome and you know it. everyone owes the taxman i owe the taxman from april til now and pray tell how in all your wisdom you know Whyte cant write a Cheque {Ed007's Note - That isn't what you said though, I can only reply to what is actually wrote, my powers of mind reading are waning in my old age. I was told about Whyte's control over running costs. Have I been wrong yet?}

Agree1 Disagree0

Very wrong you said you would get a draw at Athletico and you were told whyte cant write a cheque there is no point tell you how many times you have been wrong Ed cause you got all the power if i or anyone write something you dont like or dont agree with you dont post it and im not talking about sectarian crap or bigoted bile i would not expect you to post it if i gave you 5 examples of when you have been wrong they would not see light of day as i said before you control whats posted so you will always be right because you wont post anything that will cast doubt on your wisdom {Ed007's Note - LMAO, I said I hoped for an 11 each draw in Madrid. and you are questioning my wisdom!!! List the 5 things regarding Rangers finances that you can categorically prove me wrong about. Everything I have said for months has or is happening. John 8:32.}

Right people i'm a Rangers man and i just want to wish everybody who's going to the game/ going out to watch the game a safe trip and return home. I'm sure the majority of us have all seen first hand how these games can bring out the worst in some folk. May the best team win.

Stuarty {Ed007's Note - Cheers Stuarty, and the same to all Rangers fans. Hopefully both fans will do their club proud and it will be the football we are all talking about. And I hope you get gubbed ;-)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Lol, Cheers Ed right back at ye.

I have to say I never really see any bother at the games...its all the Glory Hunters sitting in a house with their wine that you never hear or see from one Old Firm to the next - Chrissy

to all fellow tims heading to the piggery tomorrow.we have already paid too much money to that mob for tickets.lets not give them any more of our good money.dont buy anything inside the stadium.no soft drinks,teas,coffees,bovrils,pies,crisps.NOTHING AT ALL.dont help keep them afloat with our money.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

If you have been to an old firm game you would know that the away fans don't buy anything well 95% of the fans. It's a shame you've never been to an old firm game at Ibrox. You don't know what your missing.

Dear dear! Drinking from the well of bitterness are you? Your making yourself look petulant and childish bud.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously doesn't happen at all stadia.

I remember when I was working at Tynecastle during a Rangers/Hearts game a few years ago there was a major kick up in the away section because they'd run out of pies and the stewards were getting dogs abuse.

True story. {Ed007's Note - I blame alcohol for that. You need to be half canned to eat pies at football lol. Is heartburn included in the ingredients now?}

Good Morning Ed007, saw record headline about who is most hated, Disgusting!
After all Neil Lennon has had to put up, this rag is simply fuelling the flames, for a cheap headline.
I suggest all us Celtic fans write to the Press Complaints Commission about this, write to our own MP in our own area, write to Mr Salmond. I really hope Celtic FC themselves complain and get Mr Paul McBride on the case, this is Gutter journalism at its WORST.
What are these journalists thinking, dont they know they are putting this man's live in danger?
In Lennon We Trust. hail hail Timalloy
Ps no doubt daviet will come on and defend the article - hypocrite {Ed007's Note - CFC are meeting their lawyers today (right now??) Tim. I think there will be an official statement later today

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Malloy

You're showing yourself up for the ignorant buffoon you really are

I will not abide by any of the tabloid (gutter) press. Never had and never will.

In fact, I don't really trust journalists, because there main concern is readership. Not truth.

I'm still waiting for something, anything, which backs up your personal attacks by the way...

daviet {Ed007's Note - I'm with you on the press Davie. I actually fail to see why CFC and Rangers fans buy them. They are preying on the fans paranoia against each other.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Duvet, you are the hypocrite, sorry but first you accuse myself and another poster of false posts, you apologise to one who spent all the previous day lambasting. You claim to be a "moderate" then use words like get a "f" life, knowing the guy was ill, you use words like buffoon, take a look at yourself pal. Hypocrite, Hypocrite Hypocrite. Sorry Ed007, you know I dont attack people personally but this guy is a trouble maker. Timalloy

Agree1 Disagree1

Trouble maker? I just had a telephone call for you, it was the pot calling you black.

Magoo {[o]}^{[o]}

Agree2 Disagree0

Hello again Malloy

Seems you've changed your tune a little.

Firstly, NeilT did not identify himself in his post- he seemed like the "usual" git much like yourself who simply wanted to lambast posts with thoughtless mischief making.

Can you see? I did not know he was ill.

Even if I did, in the context of what he was saying (and very much tongue in cheek) I told him a f*cking life!

What's your problem with me exactly? It seems because I have a voice, can argue and won't immediately conform to your warped dogma you dislike me.

You know what? I don't care! I know that may seem hard for you to grasp, but grow up and deal with it. And guess what? Sometimes I swear too! Shock- horror....!

I do, however, have an issue about you lying to others on this forum.

I have asked you repeatedly for your evidence but you can't and won't submit anything... sigh

I also note that you've changed from me telling someone to "f*ck off" to "get a f*cking life". It's a very marked difference...

Anyway... go away and grow up. Then come back and have a grown up discussion if you can Malloy

Over and out

daviet

Agree0 Disagree0

..and if you can't take someone calling you a "buffoon" you REALLY need to get a life!

...and I followed your suggestion and looked in the mirror. I saw purity, handsome-ness and general all- round good guy. Thanks. I needed that pick-me-up. kisses xxx

Tel bhoy 79 Neil Lennon has a good record at ibrox since he took over I am not overly confident but I think we have enough in the engine to see them off whether we played on Thursday or not we played well against athletico and just hope we learned from the way they played we need a striker up front who can ruffle their defence pull them all over the place and I would give big sammy a start too he causes havoc when he plays against them

Hail hail good will conquer evil

if the editor of this page knows anyone within celtic park with any influence or any celtic website editor with any contacts please get them to put pressure on celtic to go public and tell all its support never to buy the daily record again , todays backpage is a disgrace and this sectarian bigoted rag needs brought to its knees {Ed007's Note - The available options are being explored and discussed right now between the CFC family on the internet and at the top level within CFC. .}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I never allow my son to wear his Celtic top on an Old Firm day after the game or anywhere near the 12th July...And, headlines like this don't help. Gullible eejits will read that & think its okay to hate. Its disgraceful..if that kind of thing was on Facebook, the person responsible would be in court - Chrissy {Ed007's Note - Exactly Chrissy. The Record are pandering to the lowest forms of intelligence to boost falling circulation figures:

www.facebook.com/pages/Ban-The-Daily-Record/221063694617364?sk=wall

Agree1 Disagree0

Thanks for that info , hopefully something will get done {Ed007's Note - Hopefully. I wonder how the call screening on Traynor's radio show will be implemented?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright Ed? What's the headline on the back of the record? I'm with you Ed about buying the papers I wouldn't waste my money on the the daily record or sun or any other paper. They stir up trouble all the time. When they've not got anything to write about they fill the paper with (CRAP).
Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - I think this link will show you it FF81, astounding to publish this on the eve of a potentially explosive derby match when the clubs will want the football to be the main focus:

Daily Record's back page is dedicated to reminding rangers fans how much they hate Neil Lennon...gutter press at its best ! And, the restaurant reviewer Tam Cowan basically telling the Old Firm to p**s off so Motherwell can win the league.... Chrissy

Believable1 Unbelievable0

And..rangers fans are on that wee hotline page in the same paper seem to think Atletico are the same as 10 man Dundee Utd ! These folk honestly call themselves football fans BRING IT ON - Chrissy {Ed007's Note - Chrissy mate, it is a rag. Best thing to do is not buy it. I have never bought that or the Sunday Fail since the hearse at Celtic Park and broken crest headlines. As for the author, I wouldn't expect anything less.}

Daily record headline is disgraceful sports editor has put a picture of the taxman beside Neil Lennon with the headline WHO IS MORE HATED AT IBROX Lennon furious about this talk about stokin the hatred eh ed tel bhoy 79 {Ed001's Note - anywhere else it wouldn't be so bad, but it is very distasteful when there is already such bad feeling around this fixture. It is about time the media took their part in helping to calm things down and lessening the hatred. But then that wouldn't sell papers or make news headlines if everyone went along to a match and had a good time!}
