Before anyone has a go I'm not a GB member but I do support them. Also if you see the pictures I'd sympathise with any group putting up with this harrassment this is not 80s this isn't football hooligans this is a group who have the right to express their opinions

Firstly well done to St Mirren, and especially Danny Lennon for his quip at Chick Young. Class. Always nice to see the Purple Pests beaten. Hope everyone had a belting St Paddy. I have not seen the Final but by all accounts it was a terrific game to add to what seems to have been a very entertaining week end for the fans. Such a shame we are entering meltdown without that new club eh? Fast track them? Need to be bloody quick as things might be getting even bleaker for them soon. How are those audited accounts working out chuck?. green jhedi

been looking at the treatment of the green brigade now I know not everyone follows their beliefs but one common denominator is they are celtic fans through and through. As celtic fans we should unite together on this and march together not as 1 group of fans but a united front of celtic fans against opressors

Congratulations Danny Lennon and St Mirren. First silver in 26 years.

Kinda rude Hearts fans all leaving even before their guys went up for their runners up medals.

Longmuir was shouting for Rangers. That silver should've been Ally's lol. TRFC on thirty times the salaries of St Mirren.

After reading a post from a Rangers fan yesterday regarding attendance figures, I've had a look at attendances and pricing for both clubs. I'm not sure how clubs calculate their attendances, whether it's the amount of bodies in the ground or the amount of tickets sold, anyway:

Celtic-

Real Average Attendance: 33, 692, Reported Average attendance: 45, 953
Pricing: £26 adults, £12 kids, Adult ST £490-£530, 17-18 yo £265, U-13 ST £50:

The Rangers/ Rangers:

Real Average attendance 37, 083, Reported Average Attendance: Apparently 44,000
Pricing: £16 adults, kids £5, Adult ST £265-£320, Kids ST £85

Throw in cup games at £12/ £5, CL qualifiers at £20/£10, group stage packages at £81/48 for ST holders and £105 general sales, Juve tickets £37 ST holder & £49 general sale; you don't need a calculator to work out who has the greater gate receipts.

I'm sure while all the zombies are counting seats and ignoring their £7m losses which INCLUDE SEASON TICKET SALES, Mr Lawwell is sitting with a £15m profit and no debt. CL TV money and Juve tickets still to be added, players expected to be sold in the summer, this is probably the healthiest the club have ever been financially and a minimum of 6-in-a-row and therefore qualification for the CL.

Wonder if Chico still wants to compare balance sheets?

I've said it all along, I would rather watch my team beat Barca 2-1 or even yesterdays 4-3 game sitting in the stadium by myself rather than watch the stars of Elgin and Peterhead grace the Celtic Park pitch sat next to 60,000 fellow Tims.

It's a good time to be alive!

Has anyone any thoughts on the Murray/Masterton stories that have been leaking lately? In the context of Celtic the loans made available to Murray were not helpful, but look what happened to Murray's club. In my opinion the true facts of the this cosy relationship will never come out. But yesterday did throw a curve ball into the proceedings.

When Chris Sutton made his now famous quote about Dunfermilne, "we knew they would lie down" he was widely condemned. I myself thought it was a silly thing to say but put it down to the disappointment of the day. don't get me wrong, I think the same thought crossed all our minds that day, but for a Celtic player to claim it was sensational. Of course the tabloids were all over this, Chris was caned by them relentlessly, so yesterdays shock slip (?) by Jimmy Calderwood should be investigated.

On Off The Ball, the Cowan and Cosgrove radio show, Calderwood dropped what I believe to be a bomb. He stated that Murray called him and INVITED him to become Manager of DUNFERMILNE. To reiterate, The rangers owner called a manager to OFFER him a job at a club he had no connection with. He did however have a very cosy relationship with Gavin Masterton, the owner of said club. He was the man who threw money at Murray for years.

Calderwood claimed the Dunfermilne job was a apprenticeship type deal, this would ultimately lead to him becoming Manager at rangers. Now Jimmy Calderwood is a Glasgow born rangers fan, nothing wrong there we all support teams, but when put in context it is a strange situation. Is it really so outrageous to think, as he led his team into ibrox on that infamous day, he might have one eye on a job he coveted? Is it such stretch to think he might have told his team and formation to the rangers manager? Now not for one minute am I saying this happened. What I am saying is it MIGHT have. that's surely enough to raise eyebrows. green jhedi

Thoughts on the attendances situation reported by the police?

Celtic have been inflating the figures reported to the public by 30 odd percent, Rangers by 20 odd percent. Apparently the differences are made up of season ticket holders not attending games, so the numbers reported are tickets sold rather than fans in attendance. Controversial either way.

Worth pointing out that Rangers have still had a higher average attendance though.

s20c {Ed007's Note - We aren't interested in counting seats, we leave that to The Rangers/Sevco fans. Try and post about a relevant topic S20c, that is two nights in a row you have came out with boring The Rangers/Sevco $hite. If you pay for a ticket to the Asbestos Midden to count seats that says a lot about the quality of football on show. I thought The Rangers/Sevco fans could only count to 54 anyway.}
