If we managed to get a young centre back like the lad Van Dijk that's been mentioned as well as another winger I will be pretty pleased with the transfer window as long as we can hold onto our top players, especially Hooper. Centre half area isn't looking too bad. Big Kelvin looked like he was coming on to a game and looked decent in Europe. Ambrose has a lot of potential, fair enough he looked a bit suspect last season but it was his first season in the hoops which comes with a lot of pressure, especially playing Champions League. I think he gets a lot of stick because he looks older than he is, I'm expecting a good season from him. Big Charlie can cover there with ease and we have good youngsters like Fraser coming through. The addition of someone like Van Dijk makes sense as he has a good pedigree with the Holland youth teams, and will keep the rest on thier toes. I would like to see Mackay-Stevens coming in. I feel he along with young McGeough can put good pressure on Commons and Forrest for the wide roles. The spine of the team is solid with Brown, Ledley, Wanyama and Kayal, also Rogic in there as well. That leaves us with Hooper ( if he stays ), Sammy, Balde, Watt and Stokes up front, although I wouldn't be fussed if Stokes were to go and we took a chance on a young striker like Atajic coming through or bought someone from the championship or Europe, probably 2M max. If Hooper leaves obviously we will need to spend a few quid to replace him with class, maybe a Charlie Austin or someone similar. I really hope we don't waste money on players like Given, Dunne or McFadden as we don't need them to win the league and I don't see them improving our squad for Europe. What's your thoughts ed?

Hi ed I've seen that many rumours flying about I don't know what to believe the recent one I heard is about Celtic want jelavic I said its bulls!t. Do u know of any realistic targets we are after thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ah yes, Nikica Jelavic. Croatian geezer. Former Rangers superstar. The scourge of defenders up and down Scotland. The nearest thing they ever got to our very own Henrik (although he wasn't fit to face Henke's boots in my opinion).
The same guy who was banging goals in for fun in the SPL and then found out he wasn't as good as he thought when he moved to the EPL.
Another classic example of a player who commanded a decent fee based on his exploits in Scotland but couldn't deliver on the promise when he mixed it with the big guys.

Failure of Regan and the SFA Board to professionally review Craig Whytes solicitors 330 page dossier on the relationship with Charles Green during the failed CVA of old RFC and subsequent assets purchase from D&P using sevco5088 would be incompetent.
No one who reads the report could possibly come to any conclusion other than both Green and Ahmad were in cahoots with Whyte. And therefore Green's assurances to the SFA to obtain a license for his new club venture were untrue like so many other things he has assured us of.

is it not strange, that the green side of glasgow and the green side of edinburgh, were both losers to cheats that payed wages that they could not afford.

the irony is, neither will admit to wrongdoing, a big boy did it and ran away.

both will still boast, a 5-1 final and the other, numerous titles and cups. but no shame, no remorse

hibs and celtic, we may have won less, but what we won was honest. not tainted. shammy

Stupid response by No.1. It's the exact point being made by the original poster. Everyone else is to blame. even although it has ben proved that many benefited and knew of what was going on behind the scenes. The original poster also mentions that what was one was won fairly. so your Scott McDonald comment is a hopeless attempt to have a dig. About time you stopped seeking to tar our club with the same brush your still trying to clean with turps.

Keep being loyal. we all love watching this! Wonder who's next to get the blame.

Hearts doing a summer admin. Owe HMRC £100k immediately, reportedly. And that £25m to the bank and parent company.
RANGERS, Dunfermline and Hearts, the worst run clubs in Scottish football racking up and walking away from millions in debt. Shameful.

i forgot to tell you guys, this was brilliant, and you should all do it when you go away.
i was on holiday last week and there was an open top bus tour that circled the resort.
we were sitting outside the pub one day. the bus came along. and yes, top deck, front. six wee tims with 2 cardboard / tin foil cups. green and white ribbons. and a league flag. singing the celtic song. I laughed so much I couldn't get the camera out quick enough. an open top tour of the town. superb. shammy

I am really hoping all these mcfadden rumours are a load of crap because honestly i'd rather we just kept Paddy McCourt on the books instead of signing mcfadden. Paddy i'm sure wouldn't be looking the wages Faddy will be on plus Paddy is a fan favourite McFadden is just going to be a waste : (

i said last week I wouldn't pay the money to go to dublin. with petrol, car parking, air fares, transfers, hotel, match tickets, food and drink. would not have got much change from a grand if me and her went.
so instead, i'm just back from celtic park having paid £1018 for two season books in the main stand east upper.

why there?. because that is the only place we could get two decent seats together. I can't say how many are sold, but the only other option for seats together was away up in the corners of the north/js main/js and north/lisbon lions. me and the good lady are just too old to climb all them steps.

the sevconians who said the upper tier was shut, were partly correct. the upper tier sections 414 to 419 are not being sold, unless there is a demand for it. and half of them were not sold for old firm games anyway. because 417, 418 and 419 were for the infestation. and about a third of 416 lay empty for segregation.

i don't agree with this but I can understand why they have done it. it will make the rest of the park busier looking, and it will leave a huge block of tickets with seats together for the big games. for non season book holders. shammy

Dh, I don't know how many those 6 sections hold . 4/5 thousand maybe .

I took part in the Ben Nevis Huddle at the weekend and I would just like to say how well organised it was.
A really big WELL DONE to everyone who took part.
By the way Bhoys and Ghirls, there are some really good videos on youtube if you want to look at the highest ever huddle!

So we have balde and we may get dijk, all we need now is half inch.

With this Celtic will pull off a coup that I have been blessed with for 30 odd year.

see that spivco have been given a vote and a permanent license under new rules and are allowed to play trialists before registration begging the question how can they claim to have a transfer embargo when they have had one window jan 13 when they never brought in anyone

Balde already in, bid apparently made for Van Dijk, I'm liking this new approach by Celtic, let's get our business done ASAP. I suppose with the qualifiers a few weeks away we've not got much choice if we want to qualify for the group stages. With a big powerful striker in and a commanding centre half on the way, what else do we think is required? Ian L

the new set up is a joke Ogilvie voted back in for next 2 years at sfa also rules being made up to assist spivco the game in this country is indeed corrupt and I think it may be time to walk away altogether as it looks like it will never change and is not a level playing field

Please tell me that we are not signing James McFadden this week? He is not the answer and IMO he would be on the bench behind Hooper (if he stays) Stokes (if he stays) and young Watt. If he is considered suitable cover for Hoops and Stokes if they move on then, come on Celtic - why waste time and money on a wee tw8t that turned down moves to us over the past few seasons, and now seems to be crawling back tail between his legs after finding out no one but Motherwell want him. Please god, don't let this guy sign!
