The Rangers FC is now a limited company and not a plc Now this is the bit Im not sure about if Charles Green wants to have a share issue to raise capital will he need to change again to a PLC and if so will that mean another name change

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Im pretty sure that there is a law regarding defunct companies trading again with a name too similar to the original company.When you consider same colours(i presume),same ground(again presuming) and a name very close to the original,something seems strange.........green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree0

Do you mean like leeds utd and fiorentina , who are now called leeds utd and fiorintina , away and lie dooon , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Totally different scenarios and totally different countries/rules.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Englands the same ed , look it up mate , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Leeds were never liquidated though, look that up, and Italian law doesn't cover Scotland.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Rangers Football Club PLC has a history going back 140 years. It has ceased to exist and will be liquidated.

Rangers Football Club PLC won 54 titles, they will never win anymore than that (although it could get less)

Rangers Football Club PLC will not play football EVER AGAIN, they do not exist

Now, why do you think this New Company that has been formed where Charles Green is Chief Executive is the same thing, is it a vampire or Lazarus ? Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree0

Eat Bred, you never told us why you felt you had to change your name, taxman chasing you? Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a newco according to doncastor who couldn,t understand all the fuss over newcos as it was done at leeds , he was drawing comparisons ed , what about the family buisness you mentioned yesterday , same premises same name above the door but different company , a think it would be a huge own goal still to use the name rangers if it couldn,t be done , tedbear {Ed007's Note - Leeds were never liquidated, Papa Smurf saved them at the last minute. You show me anything that says Leeds were liquidated..... Ken Bates done what Craig Whyte done when he bought Rangers, it was a different company that bought the club, there is no club left for anyone to buy.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Mrs E its more a frankenstein made up of all the deat limbs and endtrails from a previous life. Mary Shelley would be proud of what they are doing... only problem at the end of this you wont be able to scream ITSS ALLLIIVVVEEE!!

The Rangers Frankenstein Club should be their name.

I bet you've got Chalie's wooden teeth Ed. Talking about Charlie, I still don't know what the buisness with his sister was, has she got a bit of a reputation or is she as ugly as him? Oh and you really shouldn't want Rodellega at Celtic he's crap, this theory of not getting chances at Wigan is a myth as well, they create lots of chances with their attacking approach, and you know your bad when Di Santo is chosen ahead of you.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - Charlie has got teeth like a melted comb lol. I have no comment on his sister, he takes it all in good banter Smithy. Do you not think Rodallega would do well up here?}

Hi Ed. Not really sure who to ask but as u do such sterling work you seem like a good place to start. I am Celtic daft but due to work, family and geography don't get up as often as I like. As a result I attend a lot of Fleetwood matches and have noticed that they are the only English team without a rumours page.

I wonder if you can point me in the right direction to speak with someone to see if I might be able to take up that berth.

Keep up the great work. Hail hail

Jim Dhoc {Ed001's Note - I will speak to Ed033 about setting it up for you. I am sure Ed003 would be interested in discussing the 'Codheads' with you too!}

Some perspective on the burley quotes. A mate has just reminded me that the reason he left celtic,allegedly,was a rammy with Dalgleish.Seems that after a post match moan in big head burley was having no criticism levelled at him.Kenny then said even my wife thinks your sh*te.This led to Burley digging her out in front of people and giving it large.Later when the transfer was done and dusted he went to a charity shop and deposited a load of designer gear saying he did not want to remember anything about his time in glasgow.I remember the gossip,from a girl working in the players lounge at the time.Might explain his bad attitude to Celtic.It seems he was not that popular among the team at that time.ED007; your good for gossip.anything ringing a bell?............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - Sounds about right GJ, wasn't Paul Dalglish there with his mum? Burley's ego was always massive. He refused my mate's daughter an autograph or pic at a do in the supporter's club on London Road one night. He was not the most popular person at the club during his time there, one of my mates was around the first team (youth player with some 1st team appearances) and didn't have a good word to say about him, it was his attitude to others that people didn't like. I have a picture of me and him and for the life of me I can't remember where or when it was taken, it must have been after he left though I think. I think he asked for the pic :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

EDoo7;Thanks mate,it rang bells as soon as my mate said it.I knew the girl that worked occasionally in the players lounge and she could not stand him.Very arrogant and dismissive of people it seems.Why? Who knows average at best midfield player...........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - GJ I am going to post a pic on the sightings page, it is a pre-season tour of Australia in 1988, George Best is in the Hoops, do you or anyone else recognise anyone else?}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED; The only one that seems familiar is far right might be Graeme Sinclair? The rest are a bit blurry,i'll try and sharpen it up..........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - Thanks a lot buddy. Someone on Twatter said Albert Kidd???... I have sent it to Matt to see if he can help out as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Peirce o leary?

dessybhoy {Ed007's Note - I thought of him, and Lex Baillie.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed, tried to look into this on the interweb, i couldn't find anything about best playing for celtic , but i did find a post on kerrydale st, it is a film of best playing for adelaide celtic in 1988 , and the austrailian side wore the celtic centinary strip, so i don't think any of the guys in the picture played for us..bb {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate.}

Agree1 Disagree0

ED007; Albert Kidd might be a shout,i seem to remember him playing for us in a touring scenario! If true,what a shout from that guy! It might be a load of guest players..........green jhedi

Just a wee word of advice.. Its not a good idea to walk up to someone in a blue top with rfc on it and ask "what team is that? I don't recognise it" you get quite a big ear bashing about having been the people, still being the people and always being the people. Along with other choice words mr Ed won't let me post!

"The Rangers FC" and Club 12 they put 5 stars for every name in June

what should happen now ? i don't like to talk badly of the dead , but old rangers cheated this country out of £100m of taxes , money for nhs , police etc, and the cause they paraded at ibrokes the armed forces . { how many would still be alive if their money had bought more armoured plating or bullet proof vests } . and for that they have been punished. they were deducted ten points , and lost their history . but at the same time they walked away from £135m of debt. ... so newco , zombie, the. .... i don't see how anyone can punish them, they have done nothing wrong , if we try to impose sanctions on them , all you will get is their usual whineing s**t , '' kick us when we are down'' .. ''we have been punished enough '' so i say no sanctions , just do not let them back in , that is not sanctions , that is the law of scottish football, start at the bottom. if sky withdraw let them, and we withdraw our subscriptions . would we really miss £2m a year, handy yes essential no. and if teams die before they get back up to the premier league , then they are losers too, becase they are coming back to a less sellable league and less revenues as well... the one thing that can not be allowed is them staying in the spl , debt free from next season, so it's either sanctions , which the will moan about , or the right thing 3rd division..bb

Believable6 Unbelievable1

RANGERS missing millions found -
Following the shock announcement that Rangers have indeed entered into liquidation, the hunt for the money was on. Since Whyte took over Rangers, HMRC themselves are 'in it' to the tune of £9 Million of unpaid tax.

Administrators Paul Clark and David Whitehouse, known affectionately to Whyte as 'Moody-chops' & 'Baldy' or Dumb and Dumber, have been trying to locate the £24 Million pound that has been 'mortgaged' for four years worth of future ticket sales by Ticketus. With talks of offshore accounts, parent companies, tax havens, EBTs (Extra Bung Trusts) and the murky world of Whyte's past being thrust into the limelight, it was inevitable that good old 'Arry (Redknapp) would find himself involved.

"Triffic, wotcha 'xpect me to say?" said 'Arry expectedly, as his car window shut tight when asked how he felt when it was revealed to him, that the missing Rangers money ended up in the 'Rosie47' account.

How did this link come about? Well, it was Whyte himself who made a comment about everything smelling of roses or as the cops soon realised - rosies!

"And that was it" exclaimed Inspector Morse O'Liam of Scotlands Yard. "Thats when we knew to check 'Arry's account. The clue was in that speech, Rosies, not Roses"

Sure enough, there the money was, racking up interest alongside 'Arry's other deals on wheels.

Redknapp re-iterated his innocence to a packed press conference held outside his house, amazingly, later that night!
"I can't even read or write properly" said the man many were hoping would have become England's next manager but there are now strong rumours about him moving north of the border? "I've no idea how much money is in that account" - "I've no idea how it got there, my accountant deals with that" repeated 'Arry

warning to Celtic

Lee McCulloch has warned Celtic that he’s out to regain the SPL title!

In the week that his employers began the process of liquidation the midfielder is already dreaming of another title party.

Newco Rangers have still to sign a player, find a league to play in or produce audited accounts but that can’t stop the ambition that burns within the Ibrox die-hard.

Speaking to the Daily Record he warned: “I’d make it a personal mission to win back the title from Celtic if we’re still in the SPL.”

Despite starting the liquidation process in midweek McCulloch hasn’t heard a word from Charles Green or Newco Rangers.

After confirmation from Fraser Wishart of the SPFA that the players would be free to move on to other clubs it’s expected that most of last season’s first team squad will move on.

McCulloch joined Rangers from Wigan in 2007 and will resist the lure of a return to the Premiership in order to assist his boyhood heroes regardless of what the club is called or what division they are allowed to play in.

“I am going nowhere, I am staying with Rangers,” he confirmed. “Whether we’re in the SPL, the Third Division or anywhere in between I will be with Rangers.

“Since I was a kid growing up in Motherwell, all I wanted to do was play for the club and there is no way I will walk away. It’s the last thing I would do.

“Wearing the Rangers jersey is an important part of my life and I’d never forgive myself if I gave that up.

Neil Lennon has used his twitter account to respond to the tiresome criticism of Craig Burley.

Co-commentating on France against Ukraine should have allowed the former Dundee midfielder to forget his vendetta against the SPL champions but the sight of French substitute Yann M’Vila proved too much for Burley to resist.

Diving in head first Burley quipped: “I watched that player boss the game against Celtic, even though that wouldn’t be hard.”

Unfortunately Burley’s memory seems to have been playing tricks. M’Vila never played against Celtic in the first leg in France and was red carded at Celtic Park.

Celtic drew 1-1 in France despite Cha D-Ri’s bizarre own goal before dumping Rennes 3-1 at Celtic Park.

From his holiday in Portugal Lennon reached for his twitter account to note: “A certain ex-player is belittling the club and undermining our achievements.”

Lennon’s agent Martin Reilly added: “If you are going to have a pop at the club, Neil Lennon or Scottish football, you should a least make sure you get your facts right.

“M’Vila did not even play in the tie in Rennes when Celtic drew 1-1. And, in the return game at Parkhead, he was sent off as Celtic won 3-1.

“So, to bring Celtic into his comments during this Euro 2012 game told its own story, and it’s becoming quite tiresome.

“Craig Burley previously claimed that the championship Celtic have just won was devalued because of Rangers’ situation.

“Yet, he was calling for Neil Lennon to be sacked when he was 15 points behind in the same season.”

hi ed, ist time poster. just a thought, all this talk about rangers, they are finished, DEAD, BURIED, EXTINCT, it is now a newco. my point is surely they should apply to start in the 3rd division like any other team wishing to join the league. they have no team, strips or support. {Ed007's Note - If the mechanism to apply straight into the SPL they will obviously try that, they would be foolish not to.}

This one has been doing the rounds elsewhere 2day bhoys..
Just when you thought Gary Caldwell was ready to don the green hoops of Celtic once more, Aston Villa has stepped in and taken control of the chase for the ball playing Scotland captin.
Wigan slap £10 million  price tag on Celtic and Aston Villa target Gary Caldwell:
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has put a £10million price tag on Celtic and Aston Villa target Gary Caldwell.
Though Wigan have had no firm offers yet, Whelan said: 'I would say £10 million for Caldwell isn't outrageous.
'He is a player we do not want to sell and I would love it if he started next season with us.  Gary Caldwell is a brilliant captain He keeps the boys together and is a great leader.”

Mr Green fingers you'll be pleased you can stop posting about this now. Gary Caldwell has signed for Celtic and will be made captain. I think he's worth all of the £10m we've paid, money well spent :-) {Ed007's Note - Great news, finally it is all falling into place :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary. Stop pretending you are Mr Green Fingers. You are and will remain an ex-Celtic player.

10mill that is almost as funny as whats been going on a the dead mobs place....omg and i highly doubt Celtic would go after him and if they do i would not enjoy watching the games because it will just be a wait and see what he will do next to score against us. it would truley be 12 against 10 against us and thats not including the refs.

Versatile Rangers veteran Lee McCulloch states that he is staying at the club no matter which league they are playing in next season.

Aye...I read everyday of the flurry of bids for him lol

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Common sense move by McCulloch,he has made his money and is nearing the end of his shift.He will be hailed as a hero and no doubt be in demand on the after white lighting speaking circuit in various "social" clubs.Division three teams better get extra mouth guards ordered.........green jhedi

Most of us have newspapers lying around that are older than them.........green jhedi

Just a wee thought. If the latest knight on his charger, sir cardigan, is serious about his attempt at becoming a saviour shouldn't someone ask him about his EBT's. Because I don't think he would pass the new strict SPL's guidelines on afit and proper person test. Hmmm.

ED how can THE r#ngers fc b allowed to join the Scottish league surely as a new football club they should b told to apply for Scottish lower league. If we want to go to England we would have to apply to start in the lowest league just like any other country. Also seen a badge they might have with union jack Wots that all about fookin hate them already and they've just been formed. C#NTS

Believable5 Unbelievable1

If your right about the union jack being on the badge why woul that bother you and bring on a rant of hatred , tedbear {Ed007's Note - You do know that 'Union Jacks' can only be flown on Royal Navy boats don't you Ted? If it isn't on a boat it is referred to as The Union Flag. I'm sure all true blue supporters of the old club knew that, right?}

Agree0 Disagree1

If you read the post ed i was asking , if true this is going to be on the badge why would that cause anyone to go on a hatred rant , a cant work that stuff oot mate , tedbear

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see the union jack or union flag being adopted by TRFC.
Nothing wrong with it as such as it does incorporate the saltire,or St Andrews cross. Which is after all the national symbol of this country.
Have to agree with tedbear Ed, why would the OP get so worked up,even if it were true?
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - Why would a club side put a flag of something that isn't even a country on their strip POB? Plus under rule B.10 all clubs must register their 'colours' by 1st of June, I can only assume this would cover badges etc to appear in the Directory of Clubs. TBH if they did use it it would only be pandering to the old WATP section of the old Rangers support and trying cling onto the 'Quintessential British Club' BS. Surely it is time to move on from that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The union flag or union jack is the flag of the united kingdom , northern ireland , great britain , tedbear

Agree0 Disagree1

If you want to be british regarding football ( not nationalitiy ) then go play in the british cup/ british league . Only problem is they don't have one so you can start it up and once the spl fold as many newco fans predict all he teams can do a newco and come and join you's.

Tedbear, probably for same reason that your mob go radio rental every time they see a green/white/orange tricolour. and if the union flag represents uk / gb where is the welsh part of it..bb {Ed001's Note - try reading up and you will find out that: Wales had no explicit recognition in the Union Flag as it had been a part of the Kingdom of England since being annexed by Edward I of England in 1282 and its full integration by the Laws in Wales Acts 1535–1542, and was therefore represented by the flag of England. Wales is a principality, not a true country, has been for hundreds of years.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes ok 001 i stand corrected , but i alread knew that. it's just that i live in the present day and not when the atlas was pink. why do the welsh play n the six nations at rugby, if they are not a ''nation'' . and lets me and you go to wales and ask the welsh people if they are a country , or part of england.. i know you are technically right but i also know that you are morally wrong. if your way of thinking is right does that mean that england have two teams in the euros and the world cup. i just don't see why the union flag represents, george, andrew, patrick and leaves david out , he had across as well ,but you alread know that, i think on this one we will agre to disagree..bb {Ed001's Note - why do we have to disagree? I was merely explaining why it is not there, never said I agree with it! Please don't judge my personal beliefs on my explanation.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok bud..bb
