Can someone enlighten me what the heck has happened to Bangura? I know he got sent out on loan again but has he this time been abducted?

Thanks

Game was against part timers but I'm going to put that one tonight in the James Forrest 1 Haters 0 column.

And he wasn't even at 50% of what he can do.

Apparently claiming your players are world beaters on the back of playing part time players is already common practice in Glasgow so why not lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Had a great game but still needs 2 work on his end product and shots some of his shootin durin the game was terrible lol but he did put in a brilliant performance

GunnieBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

JF is an exciting player and once he can get a better end product he will be worthan absolute fortune. I have said it again and again he has been carrying injuries. Keep him fit look after him and he will look after us. Delighted he had a good game. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

James Forrest haters? I have never seen any posts proclaiming hate for Forrest. Plenty, and I include me in this, saying he needs to do more though. This is a start let's see how he goes. The talent is there let's see the application. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly, most of the players did well for their first competitive match.
The basic wing-play of Forrest is very good where his pace is fully utilised and switching wings during games helps him and the team create openings and his link-up play is great.
There are no 'Haters' but I have seen critics (including myself) at times; when he disappears from a game or his final ball/shot is sub standard.

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

@3) You bored GJ? that's just arguing for the sake of arguing mate lol

I've read all sorts about the lad on here I think you are maybe the only one taking the haters bit seriously.

I haven't seen a player spoken about in the way he has on here since Sammy's dark days. Overrated, Underachiever, can't cross, creates nothing, contributes nothing, only gets a game because he's Lennons favourite, give him away, wouldn't even have him on the bench, Crock, arrogant kid, lazy, heads up his arse, how he's picked for Scotland I don't know, timid, no left foot, bad attitude on the park and my personal favourite WAGE THIEF! And there's many more.

You've read them all yourself and you know where i'm coming from.

James Forrest 1 The unconvinced 0 doesn't really have the same ring to it but to save offending anyone i''ll change it for the next time buddy.

Stevensee88

Agree0 Disagree0

@Stevensee88/ Some of the quotes you mention are, sadly, accurate. But I honestly think a lot of it is frustration. Also let's not forget who he was against last night. I would love to see the kid move his game forward, as I said we all know the talents there. Lots of defenders of his claimed he was carrying an injury last season and that's possibly true. This is a big season for him, let's hope he becomes the player we all hope he can be. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, of course its frustration. I mean what Celtic minded person wouldn't want to see him do well? Especially given he is a product of the youth system. Some folk go too far though and make there point too aggressively with regards to Forrest as i'm sure you've seen with your own eyes.

Listen as I have said before on here Forrest's season was wrecked by injury last year and he was brought back to soon for the Juve game. All that appearance tells you though is Neil Lennon rates him as a starter in his best 11 for Celtic, and I agree. Not half fit though. If he can stay fit this season i'm confident he will be one of our most important players. I just think as an attacking entity Celtic are simply a different team with Forrest playing and we've missed him.

Good performance all round except Ambrose. The guy is an accident waiting to happen!

Joeshmo1888

I thought he was good. Better than Wilson. Was disappointed Balde didn't get on, not had a chance to see him yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose isn't that bad. JK

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, Ambrose played well!

LM67

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose hardly set a foot wrong mate. Made a few telling challenges in our box in the second half aswell. Few misplaces headers in the first half but he didn't set a foot wrong after the break.

Credit where its due.

He just kept it simple and cleared his lines instead of f*nnying about on the ball until he's closed down and dispossessed. Good performance for him to build on.

I'm normally one of his biggest critics aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

For a Player with little or no pre-season training, he did exceptionally well . And for that reason, I think, a man-of-the-match candidate .

The Sno Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Kelvin and Effe did good. Forster had little to do. Clean sheet.

Agree0 Disagree0

No he didn't. He was murder. This keep the ball in play at any cost nonsense is annoying. He cost us v juve and will cost us in big games again.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose IS that bad! He is an absolute bombscare! Don't get me wrong, please, loves to dribble and do his own thing. no DISCIPLINE! Got to go! ANYTHING over £2.5m I'd bite yer hand off!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose is a decent player. I watch him a lot and to class him as a bomb scare is just not fair. Of course everyone has a favourite player they love to hate and Ambrose seems to get it in the neck from a lot of fans. let's see who else gets it Sammi oh no now he's one of our most consistent players. james Forrest. He had a good game so got a reprieve. Stokes gets it in the neck but he had a great cup final. Izzy on he other hand has been poor in my opinion and what? He seems to walk on water. Kayal also gets an easy time. So its about opinions and that's what is great. My opinion is that Ambrose is a good player and NL and the coaches were mightily relieved he was available fpr selection last night. That tells you something. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank Davie, at least someone was watching the same game as me.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose and Wilson got off lightly last night, playing part-timers. They did OK, but made mistakes that went unpunished and when we play better quality we will not be so lucky.
Mulgrew and Wilson were our best pairing last season, but I reckon Van Dijk will be in there when he recovers.

thought ambrose played well someone must have told him to cut out the fancy football, and keep it simple, whole team played well as did cliftonville good game .meagle tim

Agree0 Disagree0

Did no-one watch the backward headers and the hoofing the ball over his head. Twice landing straight at the feet of a Cliftonville player. A full time team would have taken full advantage of this. As Juve did last year.
Even the best defenders know. Knock the ball out the park and regroup, you don't lose anything for giving away throw-ins.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Lustig was MOM by a long shot in imho, can't believe just how much he has improved.

Tompo88!

Agree0 Disagree0

Joeshmo your analysing every touch of the ball he makes and in a negative way. How many goals did we lose in pre season? How many did we lose last night. Why does he walk into the team? Nigeria aren't a great team but they are way above Scotland and he seems to get a game and seems to do well. You could take any player and criticise his game in detail. Maybe you just can't forgive his mistake V juventus. I don't know but I will say this. ambrose is a very important player for us and sure he will make some mistakes but he will also be IMHO one of our most consistent and best players this season. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big efe had a good game last night. Defended when he had to. Get off his case ffs we won 3-0. Honestly what's the guy to do? Invent a time machine and go back and not make te mistakes against juve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well sopot, we will agree to disagree. I think he will be found out soon and will struggle to make our starting 11.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Nae bother. Sopotcelt

Agree0 Disagree0

@17) Maybe your right Joe, maybe he will get found out this season (I thought that's what happened last season lol) but if Ambrose was to use his brain and common sense, study his game and where he made mistakes last year and listen to Big Johan then logic would tell you he should improve this year given the experience he has gained. I mean he has the physique, the pace, the heading ability and Barcelona over both legs proves he can get the positioning and timing part of it down but I stress only if he concentrates. I believe his concentration is the problem and he's not physical enough in games. He has the tools but let's himself down because of the silly mistakes born from laxsidasical defending.

Better defenders than Efe have failed at the top level in football because of there concentration so I hope he gets his head right and prepares himself for games better this year.

I think apart from one or two headers in the first 15-20 minutes most probably down to nerves and a lack of confidence he couldn't be faulted and if anything this is something for him to build on, no matter what you think of the opponents. I mean half of Scotland had money on Cliftonville winning or getting a draw last night after our performances over in Germany and no wonder it was farsical! I'm just pleased we done a professional job and got a clean sheet.

No problems there tonight .The score line is kind to Cliftonvile.

Kayak slotting into the cdf position very well, mofm performance and big Sammy on top of things.

I believe we need to sign a left sided centre back who can play at left back, a creative midfielder hopefully a right mid and finally a proven striker who can wear the number 7 jersey and score lots of goals. what do you think?
Barry97

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think we need to sign a left sided centre back who can play on the left side of centre back! And proper cover for LB, not one that can do both? Mulgrew can do both (iffy of late) why have the same? sign players for the right positions instead of scrimmping. do you work for the board?

Good professional performance tonight. James Forrest looked back to his best tonight, just hope he stays fit. On that form Mackay-Steven not required when Forrest is in that mood. Also I have given Kayal a lot of stick on here at times, thought he looked a 'bit' like his old self tonight.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was happy overall. Kayal is still awful IMO. Nice to see Stokes get an active role in the team. I think he will come good.

Ontario Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh aye brilliant he wiz against part timers!? i'm sure we could have Mckay Steven aswell? as we have no other direct wide players! All is forgiven after a win.

Bigbadjohn

Forrest will terrorise defenders in that mood John - Butchers Bakers or Candle stick makers, it makes no difference. He's got an eye for goal aswell. He will be a big player in Europe for us this season. Ian L

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think we should wait till he puts in a string of good performances against full time teams before signing him up for life! I really want this boy to do well & go on to become a Celtic great but just don't understand all the fuss regarding him, am I being harsh? L1888

Agree0 Disagree0

L1888, I agree with you. He looks like a kid in a playground the way he runs. It's just "head down, don't look up and run as far and as fast as you can" by the looks of him. He looked decent against the plumber (or whatever the defender's day job is) he was up against tonight. I don't rate him as being anything special. But who knows, he could turn out to be a star.

At last a voice of sense and in the know. John Hartson at halftime hits nail on the head about hooper. Anyone who saw and heard him say hooper will go to low level club because top clubs want to see if he can score 30 goals in EPL. I predict he won't but he will score. Why would you want to leave Paradise. Greener grass. Perhaps not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Doesnt matter if your in " The know" Hartson or no?!
Hooper wants to play away from this dross (preferbly EPL) and challenge himself, he scored 31 in a bad season apparently! 15 in EPL 1st season and 20 in 2nd season is a step up if that's what he wants to aim for? he's not Celtic so he won't lose any sleep over it.
Hartson had seen quite a bit before he came up here so can't speak for guys that want to try it for themselfs! he's done nothing wrong, wants to play EPL, We should have have sold in jan?!

IZZAGUIRE is slack again. Poor distribution positionally suspect and usual heart stopping pass back at halftime. SURELY we have someone in development squad who's better otherwise we need a new LB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ill take your SURELY as desperation? Unfortunately NO!
The develpment squad will disolve again' as has before but not under the same bracket, most if any not good enough and wil go on to play elsewhere. so yeah we need proper cover for LB, other prioreties but maybe on the same list, doubtfull knowing the board!

Bigbadjohn

Agree0 Disagree0

Izzy clearly has a brief from lenny to get far forward on the left wing. Many times further forward than midfield. The central defenders know this and have been briefed to look after the left wing when izzy is doing his forward runs. It's Lenny's tactic. Don't blame izzy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw Samaras giving him a talking to at HT as he nearly cost us a goal.
Over the past year he has shown that he is better going forward than defending and I would rather see him creating chances than causing chaos.
Obviously we need a proper left back.

Incredulous that today of all days, an ordinary Wednesday in July is the chosen day for the SFA to release a statement there's no case to answer for SEVCO newco t'rangers.

Or has it something to do with the start of celtic's CL campaign? Same SEVCO form as last year on Celtic CL nights?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do they think we don't realise it or think they are being super clever? Its just really pathetic. Listen bud, take it as it is I mean how sad a day is it when you have to release a statement on that kind of subject in an attempt to take some of the limelight from your rivals playing in the biggest club competition in the world. Just sit and think how far they have fallen mate. These sad statements, the WATP number plate on the "Best bus in scottish football"! It goes on and on and gets sadder and tackier by the day.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no confidence in the SFA at all. The new SPFL need to engage with UEFA to complain no confidence in SFA, it needs replacing. There isn't even a thin veil of respectability anymore covering the corruption. It's just blatant and in your face FU, F the regulations, F UEFA, were doing what we want to shaft everyone for SEVCO.

Would love to see Kara Serigne brought in as wanyamas replacement! At a reasonably good club in genk and I reckon we could get a good deal.
If not him then another genk star in jelle vossen. rated at 2.5 - 3m, and would be a great replacement for hooper.
other targets include helder barbosa as a left footed playmaker, jordan rhodes which looks unlikely and another centre half, i'd go for brede hangeland as I think his expiry with fulham is almost up, coulld be wrong tho, if we go for another young defender which does match our policy of signing young and developing then I trust the scouting team to deliver a gem.

any realistic transfer targets you guys have?

GB7

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GB7 - have posted about Kara Mbodj (Serigne as you call him) on here a few times - he would also be my no1 target. An excellent straight swap for Wanyama. If we couldn't get him, there are others - Rabiu at Evian is a player I like, and I have heard us linked with D Zola at Le havre. although I don't know the player. If money was no object, I would advocate a bid for Kondogbia at Sevilla (came through the defensive midfielder factory at Lens). He is superb - really superb, but will interest clubs with bigger chequebooks than P Lawwell's.

Re jelle Vossen - have also posted on here about him already - I think that Genk simply don't need the money, and are too reliant on Vossen to sell him. he is their captain, and main goal threat - he will stay with them I reckon.

Other suggestions - I like Elderson - Braga left back, Nigeria international, big, fast, strong, good delivery, better in the air than Izzy. understand we had a look at him, but again EPL money may come calling. Jean-Pierre Laguerre

What about Cisse ffrom newcastle in a player + cash deal with newcastle?

Hes just been sent home for refusing to wear their shirt as the sponsor goes against his religion, not sure of the details.

I think Chelsea signed the lesser player from newcastle when the signed Ba.

Cisse would undoubtedly do a job for us and would be good for stokes, sammy and commons to play off.

I have no idea about value or wages, but a good marquee signing none the less.

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah his Religion being Muslim which also frowns upon alcohol, so don't see him wanting to wear a Magners shirt either.

I read an article the other week about this and how Muslim players have influenced the Premier League. There were Muslim players at both sides of the divide regarding specific sponsorship. Some saying they are against it and others saying its part of what they have to accept to play.

Like when Toure refused to accept the bottle of Champers after his first MOM.

Not Celtic-related folks, but I just thought I'd share my opinion on the Wayne Rooney saga.
He is earning somewhere in the region of £200,000 per week (might be more, might be less but let's not argue over a few grand!).
He is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world (if not the biggest).
When he puts his mind to it he is usually one of the first names on the teamsheet.
He has exceptional talent.
He has no need for more money.
His career to date has been super-successful.

And he's, quote, "angry and confused" because the club won't lick his testaculars and tell him he's brilliant. What a soft lad he is if he is.
If I were his dad I'd be saying, "Shut yer cakehole our Wayne, and get on with playing where you are. And if you can't do that then just come out and say you wanna go somewhere else. Now go to bed ya wee dosser!"

The thing is, he doesn't want to ask for a transfer because apparently that means he'd lose money since it's him who is asking to go. And Utd don't want to say he's for sale because that would mean he'd get MORE money via transfer fees etc.
Where does the madness end folks? Surely he has more than enough money to not worry about an extra few £££££ signing on fees.
Oh the fickleness of professional footballers. They have egos the size of mountains and a heart as sensitive as a mouse. When it suits them!

To be quite honest mate it gives me the boak. It is so sad the way the game has been hijacked by money.Rooney has always professed his love for Everton, he is worth an estimated £60m, so why not play for the club you love and enjoy your self? These guys forget the days when they played for fun as kids. This quest to earn ridiculous sums of money, in all walks of life is unhealthy. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate there are times when I genuinely fell glad we are not at that level. I know to some people that sounds like tripe but i'm being honest. The greed is sickening and the higher a club climbs nowadays the more mercenaries and c*nty agents are involved. The game is ruined. Rooney's just the latest example of it. What a f*nny that guy is. The fact he has already tried to work his ticket out of Manchester United once before a few seasons ago says it all. I would have chased him then if I was fergie. It must have frustrated the life out of an old school manager like him to see the way the game has gone. {Ed007's Note - AF and Man Utd are as much to blame as anyone else for the way the game has went. Utd have always spent serious money on transfers and wages.
Roy Keane was moving to Juventus unless Man Utd upped his wages to £52k a week in 2000, making him the highest paid player in England at the time.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't really follow the EPL a lot but this was a topic a while back.

On paper Ronney has had 2 good seasons at utd where he had scores 25+ goals. I also heard he makes over 13.5m a year, I think he's a good player but a move anywhere else IMO will be a side step?

There winning stuff and paying well I think he wants to what the grass is like on the other side.

Ed being a utd fan, I don't know if the above is true or not was passed during conversation ages ago.

Lenny {Ed007's Note - Rooney has scored 197 goals in 400 matches for Utd Lenny. It's ridiculous the way the club are treating him right now IMO. I could go into a LONG rant about this but I will save you from the bleeding eyes from reading it, just consider that Rooney only cost £7m more than Anderson.}

i can't help but feel the departures of wanyama & hooper is a step back & shown a lack of ambition by the club in where I wish to see them in my own "opinion"
I believe the club had a great platform to build on from last season with no real attempt to keep wanyama or hooper at celtic more of whimpers,
lets get things first it is not a desire to play in the epl its a cover for they pay me more wages than my current club.wanyama left for £30,000 a week, hooper I would imagine near enough the same, i'am sure at the rite moment they would of signed deals with celtic at around £25,000-£28,000 pw at celtic again in my opinion we should be averaging their abouts for special players.
I don't blame the board as us the fans should sherk some of the flack aswell when o'neil was in charge we were selling record season book sales playing infont of 58,000, 60,000 European & spl and domestic matches, which encouraged the board to part with £40 million during the o'neil era.
the placed buzzed on European & domestic games, instead of the 40-50 thousand last season poor season book sales but influxed on big games will only encourage the board to cash in when need be, if celtic were selling good season books be more of a drive which helps build the club not dismantle it.
if a little of everything I said mixed would result in us being able to keep key players such as wanyama & hooper & build on them taking on this year champions league with 4 key player instead of the same position as last season praying someone pulls something out the bag.make the last 16 0r last 8 more of a goal not a dream.iam not saying we won't win things qualify etc, just at same start point from last season, everyone can say we have this player though and that 1 they were second choice to the departures.
I also hear we are a selling club I don't wish for a tasty bank balance nor for the club to run up debts either just a better balance on who to keep who to sell,
I think we will get a nice score to take back today and hope we sign in somepeople soon,
Patrick 83

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Patrick, it's not a step back for the club when both players make it clear they want to go. Whether it's for money, prestige or whatever, it doesn't matter. When a player wants to go they usually get their way. Clubs are helpless in that situation and money isn't really the answer. All it does is soften the player for a wee while and then his feet get itchy again.
Anyway, why would any fan want players who don't really want to play for the team anymore? They're clearly bored and they want to move. It happens.

You are missing a key point mate, they want to play in the EPL. Hooper does not fancy QPR as they are a championship side, he would prefer Norwich it seems.green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I take on board what u say chrisbhoy, green jhedi respectively, when hoopers first contract offer was made if it was in the region of the wages in my original post would you honestly say he would not of signed, I think his agent would of bit the arm off celtic which would of nailed him down to the club for 2-3 years on paper on good money with one more go at Europe to advertise yourself offers would of still come in we would of got a far better sale & had a quality striker for extra 2 years.
chrisbhoy when celtic played all major European games if when you seen the team sheet & wanyama & hooper were out as a fan would you ot of been disheartend I for 1 would be, that iam afraid is a step back.
as the fee we got great but keep getting players a big profit for a small glimpse of glory, or keep these players for a hold of glory, being a selling club is never going to get us out th blokes,
again if the money men spent money kept hold of 2 great players and if another 2 showed their worth on the European stage we would be 1/3 of a team of great players instead of always being to a year.then whay happens with the boards stratedgy if not in Europe, without spelling it out none of top clubs interested in our players so why buy if no European football, its short term gain in my eyes where as we should be going for gold
patrick83

Agree0 Disagree0

We are gambling with cashing in rather than making money from Europe, as the board have us not qualifying covered

Agree0 Disagree0

Never once heard Wanyama asking to leave? He was gift wrapped and flogged for an offer we couldn't refuse. Hooper's a different story.
Now we are 2 top players down along with the 4/5 that were released and Watt is also being shipped out, so we are short of quality and squad numbers.
NL repeatedly stated his desire to build a successful and competitive team to rank with the best of them, but we have technically, taken a step back, with the loss of 2 very influential stars and need full backing from the Board and the addition of quality players on the pitch.

I feel sorry for them being honest they make themselves even more of a laughing stock. Gandalf the green

Personally I find the who-will-we-sign-Miller-Novo debate quite amusing. green jhedi

Here McLeod has strutted his stuff
With some of Scotland's top
Part timers for afew games b4 he got
Injured that easily tells you he's worth
More than 12.5m, if he can handle the
Pressure of playing in front of a couple
Of thousand fans at Borough Briggs then
Surely the Camp Nou would be a walk
In the park for the now 2nd division
Superstar.

Seen as this is a rumour site ma dad a taxi
Driver and he had him in his cab says a swap
Deal for Pirlo is on the cards

I got a good chuckle at that one myself GJ. I laughed even more at the OP saying he would prefer Novo aswell. Miller is playing every game, scoring goals and creating them as opposed to Novo who hasn't kicked a ball since the "Legends" match at Ibrox months ago where he played like a diddy against 40 odd year olds Dennis Irwin, Henning Berg, Ronny Johnsen and David May and wasn't good enough for a contract offer from East Fife. He's been doing the rounds at the masonic halls and didn't play for Celtic once over so I suppose that's the thought process.

As a born and bred Belfast Bhoy, i'm so excited about the game tonight
Two of Cliftonvilles squad were actually substitute teachers at my school when I left so it will be fantastic to see them line up against the Hoops this evening as I know they are both fans.
I'm sure the craic will be 90 and the after parties will be second to none.

I too am born and bred in our wee country but my goodness, I hope the Bhoys are way too hot for the Reds tonight. I've been to a few games at Solitude over the years and if I'm honest I look upon Irish League football in the same way the Engerlanders look at the SPL: there's some quality but overall it's not that impressive in comparison to other leagues. I know the teams can only do what they can do in the Irish League and I certainly don't mean to sound critical. The level of work that goes into running the clubs is fantastic and often goes unnoticed but the truth is, if we can't do the business against Irish League teams then it's a sad reflection on our own standards.
I don't mind if Cliftonville get a goal or two tonight as long as we get five or six in reply.
Irrespective of the expected carnival atmosphere we should be putting this tie to bed this evening even if it is an artificial pitch and it's early in the season etc. etc. It's the same for Cliftonville and our basic standard of play should in theory be much better than theirs.
Hope everyone has a good night but I hope the Bhoys have the best night of all.

If I remember correctly there was a rum our floating on here a while back that we were after Liam Boyce :)

You're 100% right there Damo. He went to Glasgow for a trial a few years ago after an excellent season for Cliftonville. I think we wanted him to come back again for another look but by that stage the German interest had surfaced and before anything was done about it he was away to Werder Bremen. In hindsight perhaps that was a move too soon for him at the time.
He is a talented lad, there is no doubt about that. He and Gormley have an excellent strike partnership and Celtic's defenders will need to be on their game to deal with them.

Seeing as it looks like Hooper is off to england. How about John guidetti to replace him?

I think we would all love that but realistically it will never happen. His wages now would be out of our range and there would be massive interest from all over for him. green jhedi

This is the day Scottish football lost any shred of credibility it may have had. The SFA have informed sevco that they will not launch their own investigation into the Green takeover of the dead clubs assets.

Forget the secret agreement between the SFA and Green. Forget the prediction of a financial meltdown.Forget the bending of rules to ensure there would be a team playing in blue at the dust bowl.Ignore the unnamed representative who told the ECA that this is the same club as the liquidated one. These now seem like petty, nothing issues.

It seems the SFA are satisfied with the Pinsent-Mason report into the affair. This of course is the investigation started and paid for by sevco. When this pretend investigation started the SFA told us that they would, 'ask for answers to specific questions'. What they did not say was what exactly the questions were. And let's be honest, there are plenty.

Since Charlotte Fakes arrived on the scene it is patently obvious that Whyte was involved, Green has admitted this.It is also clear that Green accepted money from Whyte, this is the cash that was resting in Mr Ahmad's mums account.Green has boasted of him 'conning' Whyte to gain his shares.Green has also played fast and loose with the truth, on a number of subjects. It also seems that a man who is on Interpols most wanted list is an investor in sevco. Seriously, what does it take to jolt the SFA into action?

It seems to me that what we thought for years is indeed true. There is a rangers/sevco bias ingrained in the fabric of the SFA. But is their an agenda from our own club to keep the status quo?

Since Mr Desmond gave his 'Rangers is a great club' speech last year I have had a niggling feeling about this.He should have said, clearly and unambiguously, they WERE a great club. All through this omnishambles our board have been quiet, apart from an occasional press release. Why?why are we not demanding a proper enquiry into the goings on at the SFA and sevco? Are our board treating us the way politicians treat the populace?

There is no point in pushing the 125 years unbroken tag if you do not have the minerals to back it up.Forget the then, now forever bulls**t! Celtic remained silent through the same club debate while using these advertising strap lines. Are they going to do the same through this? Celtic must now demand transparency from the SFA.If we do not get it then we should request UEFA investigate the governing body.If we do not, the Celtic power brokers are adopting a back of the bus policy. We have not, and by the look of it ever will, have a fair shake of it. green jhedi

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't fret. anyone who knows company law knows it is an entirely new setup. some people do not know what liquidation means but leave them be. look on uefa.com . no mens rangers football club so there you go. let the vile sfa etc get on with it

What is lurking in our cupboards? Sopotcelt

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ If we let the spineless and corrupt SFA get on with it, will it ever end? As I said late on, it is the Celtic attitude I am most frustrated by. green jhedi

Did they listen to the tapes of Green, Ahmad and Whtye? . Obviously not . It was also revealed today that Media House, s Jack Irvine was paid £10,000 to place negative stories in the media involving rival teams ie Celtic . They also encouraged media to take Oldcos side when it came to sectarian matters . It's really sad that no so called press men are willing to take up the fight and expose this corruption . And corruption is just what it is . Ogilvie can breathe again . DH

Agree0 Disagree0

@Sopotcelt: Nail on head mate? There must be something causing this reluctance to get involved. Just picked up a rumour that Celtic and Hearts received payments to compensate them for the EBT years and the loss of European revenue.green jhedi

Craig Whyte furnished the Ibrox Board and Pinsett Mason and SFA with a 330 page legal document proving his link to sevco5088. His sworn testaments by his business partner and tape recordings prove everything. It's a matter of record Green bought the assets from D&P with sevco5088 and the media made a huge issue of the assets being hived off from sevco5088 to SEVCO (Scotland) ltd some time afterwards.
Craig Whyte must now go on channel4 to get his honest position across. To protect himself and rangers fans from Green/ Ahmad's lies.
The new SPFL clubs must now take up the issue of the SFA being fit and proper to govern football and the SPFL in this country. The SFA is irredeemably corrupt.

Agree0 Disagree0

If this goes to court and Whyte and Green were in it together what then for the SFA?

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I hated the 'Old Firm' tag as we were always lumped with them for the derogatory stuff and sectarianism; I hate to say it seems both clubs are more linked than we would believe. It totally stinks!
There has not been one ounce of umbrage from the Celtic board at the blatant corruption and cheating of the governing body who have bent over backwards to aid a new club and turn a blind eye to outstanding accounts and breaches of protocol.
The umpteen meetings on re-organisation and finally the same sh1t - New -Name of the SFPL.
As usual it's a case of "Bend over and take it and there will be plenty more where that came from" unless someone has the ballons to man-up?

Read today that big Sammy wants a new deal, best news iv heard out of parkhead since we signed van dijk. Give him a 3 year deal and make him one of our top paid players, think he is already but increase his wages anyway. He deserves it. He is Loyal and I don't care what anyone says, hands down the best player at Parkhead.

Looking forward to seeing him destroy more champions league defenders this season

re players we should buy to replace hooper post, I would like to see us going for scocco in argentina, he apparently knocked back an approach from sunderland saying he would only play in europe again with a club in the cl, I don't usually like loan deals as its players clubs want rid of but he is top scorer in the league and as he is still an al ahly/al ain?.player this could also be an option, he has dual nationality (italian) which would make a deal easier to process, the argentine league is also somewhere I think we should be looking for players, as their players adapt to most countries in europe and are usually technically very good, on dual passports right now 9 of the top 10 goalscorers have either italian (8) or french passports, and looking at the estimated costs of the players is a cheaper market than most european countries,,,, deep river bhoy
