I have to sympathise with you guys and your editor as well as you, ve not had much to shout about recently neither have yer pals at govan either..my feeling is that both the big clubs down in Glasgow tend to string you all along a bit being honest about it.titles and cups euro qualification this player does this that player does that in my humble opinion the game has been ruined as a sport by the money and greed that the pursuit of wealth causes, arguably the best celtic team 1967 was a group of players who were very skilful players and in terms of todays market would have been worth a kings ransom but they were not like that they played football and it was about doing well for their club and country that does, nt exist nowadays you do still remember dont you ? where in your opinion has all that been lost then? not old fashioned nostalgia friends..its caused by money.. {Ed007's Note - Sympathise with me? Take a bow son, that is the best post EVER}

A little OT but we should make an approach for the American Womens goalkeeper. Even if we got beat every game she'd well nice to look at...would need to keep her away from McAvennie though.

Have a look at the G@rs forum, it's absolutely hilarious. They think that they have this £20m kitty to splash on players because Whyte mentioned that it's there "if it's needed". After failing to sign their immediate targets because they couldn't compete with salaries elsewhere, why then would any of them believe this "Sales Pitch"?

It just doesn't ring true to me, especially as Whyte's also sitting on the £18m debt he's undertaken (which hasn't been, and will not be, written off until HMRC case has been concluded).

Ed7, my friend, what do you honestly think of this article with Whyte in the Mail? Does it seem viable?

I'm not that worried about a goalkeeper, seems like we're getting Pletikosa, who has accumulated 80 caps for Croatia. I think we may have a modest transfer kitty and we need to release/sell some squad players before we sign anyone else at the moment......Miko {Ed007's Note - I thought you were bad mouthing me Miko lol Did you read that post? There is no way Shooter is going to invest that kind of money, he doesn't have that capital to invest unless the liquidation scenario is on the horizon. The stadium needs work, contracts that have been offered to players, and the wage bill which is ever rising seems to eat into the "warchest".}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

You're our Ed big chappie, would never bad mouth you. Hail Hail....Miko {Ed007's Note - I know mate, still waiting on an answer to it. I think maybe some Rangers fans can't take the truth and are starting to realise that John Greig etc were right}

Agree0 Disagree2

Rangers fan in peace.... I'm sure whoever we buy that Celtic will still put up a good challenge so you've no need to worry. Will we make it 4IAR? who knows but what i do know is that there's been way too much focus on Rangers this past three seasons and its allowed your chairman/board to take the foot off the gas without anyone noticing. Take care. {Ed007's Note - Rangers fans are always welcome here buddy, in peace or at the wind up}

Agree3 Disagree0

Obsessed. Totally and utterly obsessed. This Celtic page should just merge with the Champions page... it's all you ever talk about anyway WATP {Ed007's Note - We need something to laugh at till 10 o clock tonight before the new Star Wars Family Guy starts, we don't all read papers for entertainment}

Agree1 Disagree0

How do you know he doesn't have the capital ED? Do you work as his accountant now or something?

Billyboy1 {Ed007's Note - Knowledge is a wonderful thing, so pure and beautiful and I don't read newspapers, so why should I explain myself, have I been wrong so far?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Ed, well said Haw Billytoy, flip the question, what evidence do you have that he does have the capital?

The evidence is damning.....Miko

Agree0 Disagree0

They better now show something else in place of the Family Guy Trilogy. WWC has gone to ET due to some crappy defending...for a sec i thought Loovens was playing for the Yanks.

That should read "they better not"

"{Ed007's Note - Rangers fans are always welcome here buddy, in peace or at the wind up}"

Cheers Ed. My comment on this occasion however was my honest opinion. I really do think there's been too much focus on Rangers. Its a kind of "lets all laugh at Rangers" mentality and i can undertsand that.. but at the same time dont any of you Celts think its one of the main reasons for 3IAR? (i'm not saying its the only reason) {Ed007's Note -Your opinion is 100% respected on here mate, and at least you are explaining it rather than childish "3ina row hahahahahah". Rangers should maybe do their business without talking to the press first, look at CFC last summer doing that. That is probably why it has became a "laugh at Rangers" scenario. Gloating always come back to bite you on the bum}

Agree0 Disagree0

I take your point ed but i'd say the tax case wind-up, Walter having no contract, no signing of players, and especially the predicted "Fire Sale" a few january's back could be among the main reasons for Celtic missing out on trophies. In the month we were supposed to have the fire sale Celtic should've bought some decent players but they saw the problems Rangers had and simply brought in Willo Flood. They should've crushed us into administration and they had the chance to do it. {Ed007's Note - Rangers would have never went into administration. I agree that CFC missed the boat to become the dominating force in the SPL no doubt, but hindsight is a magnificent thing}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a scary thought but Celtic could quite easily have 10 in a row right now. Rangers' last day wins in 2003 and 2005 coupled with Celtic failure to crush us a few january's back... wow Could so easily have been complete domination. Ibrox would have about 3 season ticket holders and struggling to finish second. lol. Missed the boat though. ;-)

Evening Ed have you any info on the Craig Bellamy will he, won't he sign Although the media said the move won't happen there's still a lot of whispers and rumours the a deal may be struck Have you heard anything ?

Barrybhoy {Ed007's Note - There is a rumour going round, but I think that is all it is TBH, McNamaras comments seem to have poured fuel on the fire}

cant believe we aint got a keeper in yet.every day i pick the papers up expecting some news.this area is a real problem.the club have dragged there heels in this area and should have acted early in the window.we could have 2 new cb's and there relationship with a new keeper is vital.hope we dont live to regret this.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

The lack of movement has been shocking in my opinion, a goalkeeper is a must yet we chased forsters signing up a dead end, we want craig gordon yet admit we cant afford him, we need a forward to help out hooper as stokes, samaras too unreliable rasmussen average at best, are we doing all we can to get the title back?so far it doesnt look like it, i personally think theres a very small amount of cash set aside for transfers, hope im wrong but nothing suggests otherwise.basherbhoy

Agree3 Disagree2

Hope the board aint trying to fool us.no matter how close we came last year we were not good enough and finished 2nd.the team needs better quality and with a week to go it does not look like happening.imagine a week to go and no one had bought there season tickets.but the numbers are up on last year.so the fans have bought into it pity the board aint. Just watched Neil Lennon being interviewed on RTE, the miriam show. This woman certainly asked him some good questions. The only one he didn't answer, was what that little snake mcoist whispered in his ear, but Lenny laughed and said i'll tell you one day".He has got too much dignity to spill the beans, but i reckon he should have told us now. She also asked him what he thought about the people who say he brings it on himself, and Lenny said, why did Nial Mcginn, and Paddy McCourt recieve bullets. He looked really relaxed, and seems in good spirits. Just type in Miriam show RTE, for the 12 minute interview.

I see our reserve boys were beaten by Partick in a friendly. By all accounts Hooived was a disaster and the only guy to come out of it with any credibility was big Rasmussen. This guy HAS to be given another chance. The big lads more than capable of getting us 25+ goals a season, he's a born goal scorer.

TrampsPants

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Err no he was a disaster and needs to be punted immediatley.

Agree1 Disagree1

I heard he didn't do to well . Id like to see a lot of fringe players moved of the books

Agree1 Disagree0

Rasmussen was the worst player on the park, he is an embarresment to the hoops

I was just going by what the sunday rags said.

Ras was brilliant, his movement way awesome. I think we should start him along side Hooper, he will win us the league.

Hoopy the hound {Ed007's Note - Why come on and post as a CFC fan and then your last post was full of bigoted bile, you won't get a chance to answer, because you are banned from the site.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I heard that no one really shone yesterday, particularly our older fringe players. Hooiveld went off injured and Rasmussen was offside every 5 mins. Not sure about Izaguirre who was given 60 mins but he's on his way back from injury so don't really care either.

As for the result, the majority of the team was the under 19 squad so a 2-1 defeat isn't a bad result. Either way we weren't exactly pumped - perhaps evidence that a reserve/U19 team in the lower divisions wouldn't be a bad idea and wouldn't just be fodder for more experienced sides.

Canny believe u said Lennon and dignity in the same sentence, that's pretty funny :D

Agree2 Disagree1

To much dignity don't make me laugh he shows no respect or dignity to any 1 and that includes Celtic by his childish antics he was a disgrace last season and I only hope he smartens up this yr though I very much doubt it

Agree3 Disagree1

Your absolutely right, he totally deserved those bombs in the post. What a complete and utter f**d you are.

Neil lennon is a true gentleman and the scum don't like him because he stands up to bigotry, and thats wot rangers stand for.
