re team for hibs i would like to see forster, lustig rogne mulgrew, matthews brown irvine ledley mgeoch , stokes hooper , 3-5-2 , as i think we need to start giving our youngsters a run and we can now do that under less pressure than normal , and playesr like sammi, forrest get a rest on the bench

Believable0 Unbelievable5

So u want to change to an unfamiliar system while blooding youngsters in a tough away game when we have a treble to go for? We're on a roll here so why risk disrupting the momentum. No let up, strongest team available should be fielded in every match to ensure we get as much points as possible n shut aw that garbage up about only winning coz their dying

Mikey Bhoy

Plenty time to give young players a chance after we win our next 7 games and have won the league. 5 games left to give first team experience, we cannot take the league for granted thats what Rangers fc (IN ADMINISTRATION) done.

Every day I am hearing or reading another dodgy deal or some sort of shady practice to divert funds or avoid payment of debt. However I do not understand how the authorities are not pulling the place apart finding proof and solving the problems and punishing the guilty??
I am absolutely certain if any other company or business had committed half of these alleged infringements and/or irregularatories, they would be closed down or at least suspended from trading.

Hi Ed and Celts.Just on a different
topic other than Rangers going down
the the pot(as much as you enjoy that topic. lol. If you were in the EPL with your current squad where do you think you would finish? I would say from 8-12 with your current team improving every season due to revenues. Also Ed who would you support if Celtic played the Mancs?
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - I agree we would be mid-table Smithy but to get the revenue like they down there we would be challenging in a few years. CFC are my team Smithy, it's just my dad's family stayed in Ashton Under Lyne for a while when they left Ireland and my dad always kept a soft spot for Utd and it passed onto me. A lot of CFC fans also like LFC and I wouldn't say I dislike them, I was there at the Hillsborough memorial match and I was actually on LFCTV (via phone) on the anniversary show last year.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Thars good to here Ed mate. I was to young to be their myself but my family have told me all about it and thats why I prefer Celtic to Rangers. I was their when Steve Mcmanamon scored that wonder goal and even though I was only young it is still up their as one of my favourite away days, just because of the ocassion and it was one of my first big away days following the mighty reds!
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - I remember that goal well. Not as good as BBJ's (John Hartson) though :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair enough Ed it was a very good goal from Hartson, were you there? How does tickets for the away games at Celtic work mate? For Liverpool it's a nightmare and I'm lucky to get to the majority of games. Is their a high demand and how much of the stadium do the home teams give you?
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - Yes I was there Smithy. Up here Celtic and Rangers get the majority of tickets for away games (stadiums) and they are still difficult to get. Both clubs have a vast travelling support mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Smithy, ask the ed if he sings YNWA before Celtic games ?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - You know me KB mate 'I do what I want, I do what I want.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

Smithy mate, ed. I was working up in Livingstone a few years ago, when one of the Chelsea / Liverpool CL Semis was on.
That town is on odd place, like a sixties planned new town. I eventually found this weird little pub in a shopping precinct. It had no windows and no natural light at all. All the Celtic fans were sat at the front of the bar, and were supporting Liverpool. So I got a few free pints mate. The Rangers lot were at the back of the bar by the pool table, and they were all shouting for Chelsea.
Celtic & Liverpool ed, you know it makes sense. FS, I'm off to bed, had a couple of guinesses. Slainte.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Livingston is strange. But I don't believe you were working, you have took that too far!!!}

Dazza, I want to see Brozek as well. Maybe get him on for the last half hour or so ? Mrs E

Brozek needs a few starts and keep Hooper on bench for hour. Would also play Sammy on left as he has been immense there.

"Ticketus is one of the many entities into which Octopus Protected EIS invests. Ticketus has purchased tickets for Glasgow Rangers games for a number of seasons in advance, as it has done for a number of years previously with the club.
does that statement not differ slightly from the one that David Murray stated ,that rangers had never used ticketus???
marty bhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Evening Ed , Excuse me but am i missing something here ? The Administrator has admitted that Rangers will not receive any season ticket money for the next 4 years , Ticketus have bought the tickets , ally that to the fact that they cant play in European club football while they are in administration , Mr Whyte is supposedly taking "a step back" for the time being (For good more like lmao) , so do they plan to carry on , survive , get out of administration and go from stregnth to stregnth on the income from the TV deal ? what planet are these people on , they have no money , no source of any worthwhile income and Mr Whyte has done one wae the swag bag .

The Gers have no money they're going to go bust, Whyte begs me to help them or the club bites the dust, but I can't stop the taxmen at my HMRC, cos I need all the money for my big jubilee. Now I am no expert her but just having a look around the web and came across this.

Craig Whyte has stated that he put £33m into his company to show that he could buy Rangers. I am assuming that company was wavetower now The Rangers F.C Group. Looking at their returns upto 17th Sept 2011 employees 0 is all that it states. No turnover profit loss etc.

Looking at all the other companies that he has screwed none of them have ever had a turnover anywhere near £5 m never mind a profit of £33m he alledged to have placed in one of his companies.

This is looking at all Craig Thomas Whyte/White born either in 69,71 or 12.

Seen this ?

Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels believes Ally McCoist could be Rangers' footballing saviour during their time in administration.

Shiels, who takes his team to Ibrox on Saturday, used biblical terms to describe his counterpart's role in Rangers' period of turmoil.

"It's maybe like the man from above when he sends Jesus down," said Shiels.

I mentioned on here previously about the 'Bad Smell' that will linger throughout this pantomime over the river and the stench is overwhelming.
Not only are the press and other 'celebrities' trying to goad Celtic into this but we have senior politicians and ministers putting in their tax-free tuppence worth.
We must not be distracted and let these desperate men succeed in undermining an honest, successfully run club for the benefit of these rogues.
Celtic must concentrate and focus fully for a ruthless and winning season and that will be a just reward for all the right reasons.
Let them get all the headlines for a while .while we go for trophies and the smell will vanish

The most die-hard Celtic supporter understands that Celtic can’t prosper unless Rangers are there
Alex Salmond

Mr Salmond said his comments had been misunderstood.

He added: “I didn’t mean to in any sense imply that the finances of Celtic Football club were in anything than a very sound basis.”

So Mr Salmond what did you mean if we cant prosper without Rangers but our financies are VERY SOUND

I think he is trying to backtrack as he is going to lose thousand of votes over this comment.

Found this snippet, what do you think?Still relevent 88 years on.

“On the Rangers terracing on Saturday there was congregated a gang, thousands strong, including the dregs and scourings of filthy slumdom, unwashed yahoos, jailbirds nighthawks, won't works, burro-barnacles and pavement pirates, all, or nearly all, in the scarecrow stage of verminous trampdom. This ragged army of insanitary pests was lavishly provided with orange and blue remnants.... Practically without cessation, the vagabond scum kept up a strident howl of the "Boyne Water" chorus. Nothing so bestially ignorant has ever been witnessed, even in the wildest exhibitions of Glasgow Orange bigotry……”The reporter went on to describe the assembled throng of Celtic fans.
“These complaints do not apply to the Celtic brake-clubs (supporters' clubs) whose members, reasonable sentient human beings, are models of decorum and possess official testimonials to their blameless behaviour.....They are fond of singing, and to this no-one can reasonably object. On Saturday, the boys sang to their heart's content. They gave us so many rousing choruses. "Hail Glorious St. Patrick", "God Save Ireland", "Slievenamon" "The Soldier's Song".... When Cassidy's goal made victory sure, it was fine to hear the massed thousands at the western end of the Ibrox oval chanting thunderously "On Erin's Green Valleys'.."

Just a small question. IF the police are investigating Whyte and it is found that money has been taken. Or fraud has been done. Do we get the 10 points back as surely this would not be Rangers fault if it is found to be fraud

I'll get this out of the way:

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT

You're all going to think I'm a total lunatic here but has anyone ever read 'Charlotte's Web'?

I'm sure I read it at primary school during reading classes and there's a fair bit of juxtaposition in the storyline with the current situation at Ibrox. I read the jist of the story on Wikipedia but if there are any out there who know the story like the back of their hand, get typing.

For starters, the name of the takeover was aptly named "Project Charlotte", and is written by the American writer E.B. White, a namesake of our friend Craig.

The story (see: Wikipedia, you'll probably understand better what I'm on about) is based around the friendship between a pig Wilbur (David Murray) who is going to be killed at Xmas, and Charlotte (a spider, Craig Whyte).

Charlotte makes Wilbur out to be great and saves Wilbur's life by weaving words about Wilbur (Whyte weaves a web of lies, companies, money sources etc. to get Rangers off the hook).

Later in the story, Wilbur repays Charlotte (he gets a cut of a monetary deal for getting rid of any finances).

At the end, Wilbur is still there with 3 friends with no more Charlotte. (Murray takes over Rangers again with new partners and bills etc. settled with Whyte having done a disappearing act).

Charlotte - described as being "at first bloodthirsty due to methods of feeding" (strange methods dealing with finances).

Wilbur - a pig in trouble.

Templeton - some other character who lends a helping hand, but only in exchange for food (money).

I dunno...is this going anywhere? If so, Whyte is merely a pawn in some devious ploy by Murray, but it's not as if that's never been thought of. But there are certain highlights of the book (at least from Wikipedia) which make sense in the context of the tax case.

may i put forward the following celtic
plc thought process to move to the
epl first you find friends and play
friendlies (Huddersfield ,Fleetwood Town)
then you request entrance for your
development team to the lower levels
of the Conference and start at the basic
standard moving through the leagues
until such time as you feel you can swap
squads and have your first team playing
i say the championship and your development
squad playing in spl voila we leave the
the plebs behind and play with the
big boys
