Don't panic guys we are not really in 9 million debt"

Yes you are! The accounts posted for year ending 31st Dec 2010 clearly show debt at £9mill! This is mainly due to reduced revenue from ECL games and a poor winter apparently.

You are correct that McGready was sold for £9.5mill but that is being paid in installments. As I said earlier, I would be a worried bhoy come summer. .

Daviet

Re DavieT- You are factually correct re current debt level but if you read the full financial statement you will also read that the club expect that to reduce significantly by June accounts due to "revenues received after 31/ 12" Regardless its a fairly manageable debt and not one to be overly concerend about. Incidently, it was reported as a trebling of debt but in reality since £6m debt was reported at June 30th it is scarcely that but as always (and not just with Celtic), the media are going for the big headline by looking back to the second last set 12 months ago. Given we've had no European football (and little income from there last year, poorish crowds by recent standards and huge squad and management turnover the results are fairly decent. So all in all, not a woried bhoy and no reason to be. I'd stick to worrying about the tax bill mate!

Why, hello fine scholar.

Please, if you would be so kind, as to f*** off and not come back?

Scum like you get under my skin. You're worthless and I'm frankly surprised you've made it this far in life. But, hey ho, I guess you got lucky.

To Davie T who's obviously been at the Buckie:

" The Scottish media are famous for trying to unsettle Celtic players"

It's interesting that Celtic fans hold this view, we feel exactly the same way about our own club!

Listen to Radio "Snyde" for further information!

I've never been to a match yet as I live in the States but its definitely a dream of mine to visit Paradise in the next few years my uncle used to live in Scotland in the 80's and went to quite a few games. He has told me about how great the Old Firm games and how awesome the atmosphere is and its like nothing you could see in the the U.S. I'm also a member of a Celtic Supporters Club here in Cleveland, Ohio that's working on getting some money together to go to Glasgow. I doubt I would have the patience to be an ed and put up with the type of incoherent nonsense the majority of people attempt to post. I come here to enjoy a friendly exchange of views/ opinions with other football fans. Not just on the Old Firm pages either, so you can go scour other club pages I have posted on (that should keep them busy for a while). It is the Eds site so it is completely upto him/ her what is posted/ edited and his right to add his own take on others opinions (lucky man being allowed such freedom of speech).
I also do not tell anyone what and what not to post, but when someone comes in ridiculing myself or others or attempting to tell other people what they should or shouldnt think even to the point of not having a productive counter argument it goes against everything this site stands for. Everyone is entitled to post and have their opinions respected (if you disagree, have a reason for disagreeing, and post your own opinion, which is also due everyones respect). If I do reply I have every right to reply in the context of the post to which I am replying, using the same tone/ language shown to me. Look over past posts of mine and towards me over the last year I have been here, you will see I only use the same language and tone of the poster. If someone has the decency to post in a courteous manner then as a fellow human being I will reply in a courteous and civil manner, If a post is downright caustic and derogatory, then hence, I will reply in that manner as I can only assume it is the only form of communicating that they must comprehend.
Name me one person on here I have used abusive language or dismissed their opinion etc to? You can't because the people I have done it with have no names? How can you form an opinion of some one (sense of humour, general outlook on things, makes coversation easier if you know) and and build up some camaradrie with some one you can not identify? I have apoligised before to anyone whom even my language has offended, but I can assure you I have never intentionally offended any of the genuine people on here. Believe it or not Celtic and Rangers fans can have intelligent conversations, and the patter can outweigh the hatred. While my anonymous fabn club scours all the other pages looking for other posts of mine look at the original posts where this nonsense between us all started, I posted a post that was 100% accurate that the Ed felt was better not to be posted. The Ed posted he wouldn't post it although in a courteous way, and in hindsight I agree. GTID joked about an Ed posting a comment about not posting something. No big deal really. The Ed then assured people the reason it wasn't posted was nothing to do with the usual rules (sectarian/ offensive). This got everyone's back up no end. At the time we were discussing using a log in system (i'm even sure it was the ed that recommended it ggrrrrr), I said why not just get people to use a name, not even register it, just a sign off. Then wham! I'm getting accused of trying to make rules for the site?? Wanting to be an Ed, closet Rangers fan, even a closet Celtic fan?? ? If someone posts anonymously the chances are they don't want associated with what they have said, which I guess helps the banter roll, but if an anonymous poster replied to me in a civil way, that is the way I will respond to him. MY POINT WAS I WAS AGAINST A LOG IN/ REGISTRATION SYSTEM, along with quite a few others. Our point, and the Ed agreed that most anonymous posts were short oneliners that a) didn't help form constructive discussion and b) they were just to wind the other side up. No one else involved in the discussion has took the abuse I have (it just goes over my head and some of its quite funny, i'd congratulate them if I knew their name as I do enjoy a good craic). So after what has happened since then, why not bring in a log in/ registration procedure, that way any post you make your registered name comes up, I've nothing to hide, I have a hotmail acount, which shouldn't be hard to work out! And just for the 400th time, in my teens raving/ partying days I dyed my hair shocking blonde, basically to piss my folks off lol people said I looked like Sickboy from Trainspotting and it stuck, so if you know where I live theres a chance you will know me by that. I only added the H for on here as a Celtic fan. I am not (that) sick in the head as you all think (well I fukn hope) lol. By the way, if you have read all this I only tyed so much to piss you off because I'm still up, (me and the Ed has a secret, but don't tell anyone).

Peace out FFS lads, theres more important things in life.

My first game was Celtic beating Hibs at Paradise 2nd of May 1979 , a Wednesday (had to go check the programme lol) The Hoops won 3-1, I can't remember it but my dad took me, for my 5th birthday, fly auld get, my birthday is the 4th and we played Rangers on the 5th lol 1st one I really remember was Celtic beating Aberdeen 2-1 round about Guy Fawkes Night in '81 George McCluskey was a family friend and scored, and my dad said Wee Strachan scored agains us? I would have been 7 then. My first time in the Jungle, knee deep in pish and loving it, I don't know if I watched more of the crowd than the game, I was gobsmacked with the whole thing. Whats everyone elses favourite stand or away ground? my away ground would probably be Hearts, because it's so tight and right on the pitch, closely followed by Aberdeen, just because of the full day out (and odd weekend), favourite ground abroad is The Berbabeu (father and uncle took me on the tour when I was a pup) but for a game its Old Trafford.
