Would anyone else like to get a hold of the stupid little sheet that let of that flare, and give him a good clout round the lug? That's a premeditated act that he new would get Glasgow Celtic in big trouble. WHY? Markie

Markiebhoys, I'm sure a few folk would love to. These people are that stupid that they don't seem to realise it's the club that gets punished. I wonder what the people round about him/her said when they set it off!

Think i'm the only 1 who doesn't see what's so bad about setting off a flare lol it's done all the time every weekend all over european leagues but there is never an issue but we set 1 off in the europa league and suddenly it's a crime

It may just be a flare Gunnie, no harm done, fair enough. But UEFA have rules in place which anybody with half a sober brain know about. Just don't do it.

Gunnie I'm with you on this one when it comes to flares but I also accept that they are very risky and pretty dangerous and shouldn't be used. It's balls that Celtic have been cherry picked to be punished and other clubs fans get away with it but bottom line is they are banned.

I agree with Markiebhoy .
I think the problem with someone with a Celtic top letting off a flare at a European Game is that Hugh Dallas has a job with UEFA disciplinary committee.
Other teams seem to get away with breaking the rules but as long as H D has any say we will be punished every time.
I don't think it was solely the flare that caused the problem, I think there was also the question of Celtic fans allowing their heads and arms to be hit by policemen batons, and also Celtic fans breathing in pepper sprayed by police .
Surely Celtic fans should have been well use to this treatment from the Strathclyde Police and should know how to react better.

There was a quite clear picture in the paper during the week, of the guy waving the flare, he was the picture of happiness, reminded me of the look you see on a weans face when they're waving a sparkler about at a bonfire night, can we not have a kindergarder outside for these grown up weans, where they can wave their flares to their hearts content, away from supportes that just want to watch the game, some of the other guys to the side of this person didn't look to comfortable with the fireworks display.

Are people not getting mixed up a little bit between UEFA and clubs respective FAs? As far as I'm aware UEFA, acting on UEFA tournaments, punish EVERYBODY for such incidents. Did Aberdeen not get hit also? There's no excuses, we get 'dragged' into problems like this enough. Half expecting to see a "f*ck UEFA" banner at the Inter tie now, then suddenly our club are being targeted again.

That's the thing guys it might be seen to some as just an oversized sparkler, but the fact is you can't light them inside a stadium. I mean the punishment could be no fans allowed for our next away game against inter! Just don't do it! I was wondering to about the guys round about him. Surely one of them could have given him the kick in the stones he deserved. Markie

He must have purchased the flare in the country OR, he has broken several aviation laws by transporting dangerous goods without a license. (assuming he flew there). I assume he did not hand carry it through security!
Have they established that he is not a local? Dead easy to put on a football strip then cause problems.

As I said before there was a good picture of the flare waving cretin in the paper during the week, it should be easy to identify if he's celtic supporter or not, and if he is get him to dip into his pocket to pay the fine or ban him sine die from celtic park.

I'm sorry, but I fancy her. I wanna marry her! I'm sure it's possible. I love the sideburns! :)
