i would leave hooper on the bench
for the benfica match. looks totally
uninterested all season and takes his
position for granted.
i would start with tony watt and
miku .if lassad was match fit he
would be in contention.
i do like hooper when he is at the
top of his game but its just not
happening enough, might be the
boot up the backside he needs.

I think what everyone is forgetting about Hooper is that he is a goalscorer. For him to do this we must create chances for him. This is the problem, as we are not. Brown and Wanyama are not very good at passing a ball and Forrest is not very good at crossing the ball. As Stokes is injured this only leaves Commons to create the chances. Have you not noticed that Hooper is dropping deeperand deeper in every passing game. On Saturday he was quite often further back than Forrest, but was this as a result of this player being lazy and not getting back.

Agree6 Disagree1

I don't know how you can start with the new lad after Saturday. I don't want to judge after one game , it takes time to settle , but one thing you must expect on a debut is work rate and I never saw that

Agree3 Disagree3

I agree op everyone is forgetting that hooper is a goal scorer ... think it might be to do with he fact hes stopped scoring goals thou

Agree1 Disagree0

If my memory serves me right, Hooper has scored against both European teams we have played this season, if he keeps that up I will be happy.......best of times for all on Wed night

Put on a 10 match accumulator and guess the only team to let me down? My own one.

Last time I bet on Celtic was in 1989 when we were drawn at home against a team no longer with us in the Scottish Cup. £10 at 4/1. Beat them and progressed to the final against Aberdeen. Thought I had £50 to go out with that night, but we got beat on pens.

Never again!!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Dont think tic or them were ever that price to win against each other

wee tip do not beat engish top 4 or scottish top 2 not value for money and everybodies cup final

din22

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he means he put £10 on Celtic to win the Cup outright at 4/1. That's how I read it anyway.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

ChrisBhoy is correct, 4/1 to win Cup.

I will try again this weekend, without Celtic. It is amazing how 10 teams priced odds on can quickly add up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Din22,

try the handicap or asian handicap bets where you bet on +/- goals. Ive had a few good accumulators come in with this.

Maybe a little controversial here but emilio is reminding me more and more of lee naylor. Both had great 1st seasons but if you look at it closely both in their first season were great going going forward but Both suspect at defensive duties. Emilio now in my eyes isn't offering as much going forward and that is only highlighting the defensive frailties. Only my opinion but attacking us down that side seems to be a massive weakness on my part. Just my opinion

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Can't agree more. Doesn't track back enough and cover his man. Can't bloody tackle without giving away a free kick. even going forward, the pace he had is not there.

Agree1 Disagree0

But surely he's still worth around £15 million if we sell him on?

Agree0 Disagree1

No-one said he was worth £15m son.

I think Izzy had a great season when he linked up with Commons. Commons got his head up and spotted Izzy's runs. Sammy doesn't spot Izzy running so Izzy can get caught out of defence when they break forward.

I liked the 3-5-2 formation Lenny tinkered with and felt Izzy would be best in the wide left position.

the biggest shock in scottish football history. used to be berwick beating 1872 or us losing to ict. why has this headline been dropped.. newco are a team of spl players who have not won an away game in three attempts in the turd division , is it just lazy journalism or are they just saying nothing and hope we will not notice. 0-0 annan , laughable.. shamrock

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Heard the statement after game at weekend that it was a famous win for st.johnstone! FFS says it all an established spl team on their own patch and it's a famous result? Total over exaggeration especially since they've beaten us a few times before.

Kris commons in my eyes very much overrated and very greedy, yes he can score but for the amount of times he shoots(greedily)hes bound too get 1or2, to often bullies mulgrew at set pieces(wether direct/indirect).today we were a min an a half into the three stoppage time mins when he attepted to try another spectacular to no avail. Also he told media he didnt know it was inter that we beat in ecf, playing for a club like ours you should know/learn your history
,.,.kbarry

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Couldn't agree more mate, the amount of times we lose possession cos he has a shot is ridiculous

Agree2 Disagree2

Tbf mate commons has carried us so far this season vital goal against aberdeen at home, saved us away at ross county, got the important 1st goal away in helsingborgs and has looked our biggest threat. Think thers a lot more more deserve ctriticised before commons aka hooper and forrest for a start

Nobody has mentioned euan norris's match changing decision in the 25th minute apart from stonewall penalty anderson was the last man and should have been sent off, again i call for refs to be questioned further, lets do it now rankers have died and we wont get accused of paranoia,.,.kbarry

Believable11 Unbelievable2

If managers, coaching staff and players get summoned to SFA for discipline, why not referees and linesmen?
It's the spl's league and the integrity of the league is dubious due to refs. The SPL need to haul the refs in for examination/ sacking/ down rating/ more competence training/ fine them for poor performance, worst refs in the European game...... SPL needs to get a grip of it or get refs from elsewhere.

Agree4 Disagree1

I mentioned it about 13hours before you did bud at 12:59:55

Agree1 Disagree0

But her at Inverness heavily criticising refs, Aberdeen appealing a red card and an apaling decision not to give Celtic a penalty and send off the offender. The SPL is being refereed by incompetents. The SPL board need to do something tangible or the integrity of the competition is under question.

Celtic are always slow starters .we will still walk this league the cl is our priority then the league will take Cate of its self no need to panic or worry .it could ne worse we could have drawn against the mighty Annan . Hail hail
