Ref part of Tim Ugly and Dims post

Ed007, reading report in Daily Telegraph (I know it was in office room today) but it did a breakdown of Rangers debt, and it compared the famous "spend £5 we will spend£10" quote from Murray.It says Murray spent over £80m in a vain/vane attempt both uses of the word to buy european success.
It then compared celtic's debt to their debt and it calculated that for every £1 Celtic are in debt gers are £25 in debt, if they lose HMRC case the ratio goes to 1/120. Makes you think?
Also saw another article, not telegraph,

its very funny how every time time these papers write something derogatory about celtic they are gutter press lying bast*rds sensationalists etc but when they print something about Rangers it the gods honest truth and the word of god etc make your mind up bhoys lol {Ed007's Note - LOL it makes me laugh how Rangers fans didn't believe anything about money troubles but believed the fabled Jelavic bid stories. Oh how I sat myself and laughed!!! Then I shouted on Moneypenny and guess what....we both had a hearty laugh before phoning friends and family to all have a complete fit of the giggles and laughed the night away on one massive wave of hilarity. It does seems the only people associated with Rangers laughing are the fans. Has glue sniffing or eating lead paint made a comeback?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You may well laugh ed i know Rangers have money problems but i recall you saying that all the press do is lie and stretch the truth to sell papers you yourself slaged of one of the paper for saying your new player said he was using Celtic as a stepping stone yet i heard it yesterday on espn im not saying its true or untrue all im saying is that if the press stretch the truth to sell papers then we can assume that they may be stretching the truth here. lets be honest i own and operate my own business and the only person that knows anything about my finances for a fact is me lots of ppl can speculate how much i earn or owe but only i know for a fact {Ed007's Note - I never stick up for any newspaper, everything is geared towards sales, no matter what they need to print to sell their rags. I would imagine the tax man, your accountant, bank manager and mortgage advisor know what you earn? Sounds to me as if your business isn't run very well if only you know your earnings, fraud and tax evasion are a crime. My accountant makes sure my finances are all legal and above board. As a businessman then, can you explain why Craig Whyte's signature on a Rangers company cheque is not valid? You would imagine that anyone owning a company would have total control over the finances as is the norm, but not much of Rangers business seems to be run in a conventional manner. If it was judges wouldn't be ring fencing money for fear of any insolvency action against the parent company on the testimony of someone who has been involved in the take over procedure from the very beginning. Self made billionaire? Wealth off the radar?? PPfftt}

Agree1 Disagree0

The Telegraph was also dealing in facts and figures that are readily available not a sports (ahem) journalist's opinion of a game or player were something controversial has to be written to provoke a reaction

Agree1 Disagree0

Champions 3 years in a row,during a cash crisis,what the f*** does that say about the manky mob???? {Ed007's Note - It says they were champions three years in a row doesn't it? What cash crisis? I thought it was all made up lies...............}

you celtic supporters with a ticket for sundays game lucky lucky getting to go watch the champs and sit in a proper stadium just a pity your teams going tae get humped {Ed007's Note - Oh my God!!!! The intelligence level in here has nosedived tonight!! How did you get on at nursery today?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed nothing nasty here just a bit of banter take it easy man {Ed007's Note - Mate, that isn't banter. It's the kind of stuff I usually delete as childish and boring.}

Agree0 Disagree0

So it is OK for your mob to come on to the rangers page and talk s**te well a think it is actually you who is childish and bitter who cant take a joke if you don't find that banter what is banter to you or are you gonna delete this post and just be totally ignorant and am not the one who started this post by the way that was somebody else but a thought a would come on ask you why the guy is being childish when it is only banter if you don't find it banter your the only one who doesn't find it there was nothing secteran in his post maby you should learn to take a joke {Ed007's Note - Obviously you think that childish digs are banter, adults think different. I delete piles of posts everyday that say the same thing over and over, it is boring, that's it. If you don't like it don't come on here. It will save me having to read the garbage and childish posts that seem to tickle your tiny mind. You are really starting to bore me now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I did not know banter was a one-way thing, i must remember that when I go into work on Monday & remember to speak first ! Such a wee shame your real stadium will never home to the European Cup.... {Ed007's Note - Eh does the one in the trophy room not count? That is why we have a big gold star on our top. Do you practise being a complete idiot or is it a gift?}

Agree0 Disagree0

As of what you call them childish posts like a said do you think it is OK for Celtic fans coming to our page and say stupid thing or do you think wee should just sit there and say nothing well mate that will never happen as much as you would like it but your saying about how yous hate reading our posts so does rangers fans hate yours post on rangers page so maby your mob should stop coming on to our page a tell you what a will do a deal with you if Celtic fans stop coming on to our page a wont ever be on this page again lets see how long it lasts {Ed007's Note - I have no control over the Rangers site. Do you actually read what I write??? I said I don't want to read the amount of childish posts that repeat the same thing over and over again. For someone who runs their own company and keeps their earnings a secret from everyone else you actually don't seem too bright. Is that you Shooter??}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED ref - I did not know banter was a one-way thing, i must remember that when I go into work on Monday & remember to speak first ! Do you practise being a complete idiot or is it a gift?}

Are you on the booze tonight...I was speaking about the original poster who called castle greyskull a 'proper stadium' {Ed007's Note -Apologises. I thought you were a Rangers fan the way the posts came in. I thought you were the 3rd poster again, I do apologise. It can be confusing when people don't use names.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The post about banter being a one way thing came from a celtic supporter, not to bright youself ed. {Ed007's Note - It was just because I am used to Rangers fans doing a 'Gordon Smith', saying things without wanting their name associated with it. When I reach your level of brightness I will start to worry, I would be about 8 again by my reckoning!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Apology accepted.... Chrissy :~) {Ed007's Note - Thanks Chrissy.}

I was going to say you would have to have been living under a rock not to have known Glasgow Celtic were the first British team to have won the European Cup with all players born within a 30 mile radius of Celtic Park BUT you just never know... Chrissy {Ed007's Note - Blog advert time lol :-)

I for one have to say we actually played not bad last nite bhoys!! Lenny seemed to have learnt a lesson from the Sion game. As the team were set up alot better and for long parts of the game looked like scoring too, Mind this team had a player on who cost £34 Million! Our whole team would be about that give or take. But overall I thought we showed we can do something in this very hard group, remembering that we should be in an easier group too as it was Sion who were in the draw. If we'd have been in it we'd have drawn a lot easier group that's for certain bhoy's.

Keep the faith, Hail Hail

Chrisbhoy67

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Celtic played very well last night in an away European game against a very good team. It's just a pity about conceding so early, but there was a lot of progress, compared to Sion. Thought Ki was outstanding. I'll bet the team are raring to go on Sunday - feeling confident we'll win.

No need to hear from the poorest team in scottish football. Maybe even playing 1st div (and I mean DIV) football next season!! LOL {Ed007's Note - It's a banter site, it's hard to banter if there are no other fans allowed.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate that will never happen 1 division football am laughing my my head of at this post it is not that am laughing with you am laughing at you rangers will get there self sorted and see when yous win the league then start slagging us which wont happen this season because wee will win four in a row and before yous come and say that well at least Celtic are in Europe maby yous are in europe but that isn't because yous won over the two legs that is because yous won by Sion cheating but if they didn't cheat a reckon they would have still beat you {Ed007's Note - If anyone can help out with what this means please feel free. He does seem to be intoxicated with the amount of laughing at absolutely nothing he is doing. Do you know what a comma is?}

Also saw another article, not telegraph, which said Whyte is playing a dangerous game by publicily criticising legal judgements, judges read papers and will not take too kindly to this. Article also went on to say as regards Martin Bain case, Whyte again is tredding dangerous waters, by making comments BEFORE industrial tribunal case. Most sensible employers know to keep quiet until after tribunals so as not to weaken their case.

I'm fed up with people saying that celtic can't survive without rangers, or we the fans will fade away without old firm games or without the rivalry with rangers. I concede that the sfa and spl would miss the rivalry and money, but we are a bigger club- with a diaspora stretching out all over the world. We are renowned for our style of play and legendary fans. Our club's foundations and history are unique and set us apart from the rest. Like you brothers and sisters I am Celtic through and through! We are not an extension of an entity called the old firm or rfc. Let us make that clear to those who deny us are rightful place of one of the worlds truly magnificent clubs. Belfast bhoy

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Dont be silly man the only reason were known all over the world is because of our rivalry. What do u think celtics wage budget would be after no investment came into the SPL at all .... How many tv companies will show Celtic games against st mirren .... how many tv companies will be clambering over to see how many points celtic win the league by this year ... No Gers = no competition, no competition = no interest, no interest = no money

last five years in Europe
Celtic 5 wins 3 draws 8 defeats (excludes Sion)
Rangers 1 win 8 draws 11 defeats.

Draw your own conclusions

David

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ur comparing celtics europa league opponents to gers champ league oppononets ... aye thats fair

Agree2 Disagree0

Lets face it, both records are pretty similar really as far as recent history goes. We pretty much give the commentators all the negative ammunition they need to knock the SPL but the fact is that English teams would be in the same boat if were not for Sky sponsorship. If Scottish teams can encourage young British and Irish players to come through the ranks and invest in the youth and give them their chance then that could create a decent footballing environment where kids could look up to local heroes instead of flooding the market with poor quality foreign duds, which both halves of the old firm have been guilty of. We should move back to the days of fielding a maximum number of foreign players and if the SFA makes a positive stance on this then it can only benefit the game. There would be a benefit for clubs to develop players as there would be opportunities for them to play. Levein and Houston would take all the Scotland team from EPL if they could and they have openly admitted it! Where would that leave the game up here? The Scottish game is not as down and out as everyone would have us believe, its just an easy target for now. Remember, last season Rangers progressed to the same stage of the Europa league as Man City and Liverpool with all their millions so a bit of a stutter this season for both teams should be looked at as just that. Good luck to Celtic in your European exploits but leave your good form in Europe ;)

Hi Ed
I'd just like to say I know there's a few bigoted rangers supporters out there but most of them are pretty decent so I think they should put the text for tommy on the big screen at halftime on Sunday I'm sure they would makes lot of money

CelticBhoy1967 {Ed007's Note - It would be a nice gesture but would it be worth the risk during a derby game?}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yeah your right if Celtic are winning rangers supporters would be in the huff
CelticBhoy1967

Agree0 Disagree1

Well im bear thats txt in twice. dont think it should be put on during the game as u never knwo hat the scenario could be but id defo have it up there during the warm up or what would be really nice would be to have Sir (sorry cant believe that aint his title) Walter put out a wee message afore the game. If there is one person the idiots in our support will listen to its him pretty sure if he was asked he woudlnt refuse.

Germinator {Ed007's Note - I was going to suggest that, or even a note from Smith along with an advert in the programme?}

Rangers fan in piece i had a lot of respect for Tommy burns and your right they should do the text for Tommy on the big screen it was a shame when he tragically died i remember it well it was the the day after rangers being in eufa cup final i remember waking up getting told it was horrible that happened

Hi Ed, I have posted a couple of times previously on this forum and try to be as fair minded as I can.

But I have just read the Scottish Daily Record , Keith Jackson, match report.

What game was he watching last night, he must be absolutely clueless, taking a wage from them as a football writer ( bogus football writer).

I look forward to Sunday when the Celtic faithful all turn up with bowler hats and briefcase's.

Tax Man Sunday, Beach Ball Sunday, call it what you will, bring it on, I smell a victory for the hoops. {Ed007's Note - I read it online earlier. For years I have questioned why CFC and Rangers fans still buy 'red tops'. They prey on all of our paranoia to sell their papers. Most of their writers have their own agendas and allegiances without declaring them. I personally would rather hear from ex-players, at least you know where you stand with them i.e DJ, everybody and their dog know he is a Rangers man through and through, he doesn't try to hide behind a mask of neutrality. You might not agree with him but he is talking as pundit/Rangers supporter and not as a pundit/not really got a team.}

Oh no ! not the Union Jacks , that'll really put a spoke in our wheel , if you can't have a bit of banter then its a bad day ! i think we Celtic fans have a better sense of humour and a bit more immagination , the game itself is the real show , lets hope it is a good game , free from controversy an unsavoury incidents , may the best team win , hopefully that'll be Celtic .

Big Sammy played OK, some negative thoughts from some Celtic fans last night, come on bhoys, we are Celtic, faithful through and through, its them mob down govan way who go slinking away when the going gets tough, remember it was us Celtic fans who first came up with Cheerio, Cheerio, Cheerio as all the bears disappeared early from games, going back to the old Jungle and their song was "the Rangers end is empty, the Rangers end is empty with HALF AN HOUR to go"
We will be there on Sunday, cheering another victory. Oh and Tony and co, what goes around comes around, your turn is coming hail hail Timalloy

i have been listening to the phone in on real radio and clyde 1 and all i seem to hear is celtic fans talk about rangers problems its great to know that you all can de-flect the fact your team has not won the league for 3 seasons you all make me laugh, also i have heard for seasons about "negative football" but yet what i have seen and heard recently in and about europe is "negative football" take a look at yourself bhoys decide what you want, ps on a serious not all the best in europe !! :)
post this please ed
BALLYBOY {Ed007's Note - Anyone else notice the amount of Rangers fans that are 'made to laugh' by their financial meltdown? I wouldn't think it would have been funny, strange.}

Aye

I'm p*shing myself over here!

On a serious note, I don't really care how we win. Points win prizes afterall...

But I DO care about how we lose... somehow the justification of losing makes me feel better.

Typical Scot I suppose...

As said below thought Celtic played well I'm not a sammy fan but thought the big man played well as did ki,don't know if I have the green specs on or not but does anyone think ki was a bit gready on the ball ? there was a number of chances he had to pass to hooper n he just went for the 30 yard shot.

Also hats off to young Forest thought he was great on the wing.think we will give all these teams a really hard time at home & if we get 9 pts there n a draw away then we could get 2nd. All the same feel more confident for Sunday's game

Lenny.

Not a bad show but when are we going to stop shooting ourselves in the foot giving goals away in the first 5 mins of games happening too often

Sion's ladies team would have put up a better show against Athletico.....This a prime example why the LOSING side in the qualifying rounds should not proceed further in the competition.....Embarrassing to say the least.......Atletico could have held a barbecue and played musical chairs in their penalty box and still have won with ease.......Be prepared for the same on Sunday.....Ha! Ha!

Waster back to your own bankrupt site mug

Your mob don't possess players like Falcao, Turan and Diego, therefore our game last night will make sunday a walk in the park!

Incidentally how did the world beaters Malmo and Maribor get on last night?

Laugh Out Loud..are you comparing your soon to be bankrupt mob to Atletico...so funny ! Maybe sell some of your superstars them and get some cash in the coffers for Smarty Marty Bain, £35m for big kyle ha

Celtic were playing a REAL football team last night , there was no expectation that we would win , but after losing a bad early goal we settled down , and were well in the game up till the 2nd goal , we certainly didn't disgrace ourselves or our country , Malmo and Maribor were both humped by teams who Rangers would consider to be smaller clubs than themselves , so its not all doom and gloom at Celtic , we'll leave that to Rangers .

FFS!

At least try an wind them up properly.

Have a good think and come back with something more

I don't want to be tarred with you own stupidity brush...
