In Germany Hamburg are in danger of being relegated for first time in their history, they have one game left to save themselves, that is the good news, bad news is that our friends at St Pauli are just one goal (literally) from a dreaded relegation playoff, how ironic would that be, the hated establishment big club go down and wee St Pauli drop down another division and do not get to "renew aquaintences" with their neighbours

Shows the fluidity of the german league. Powerful attacking play followed by established powerful skitters. Sides collapse, too many to list. Shame you never had that tip earlier tim :).
Your shoes must be tread bare the amount of devil dancing you have survived and tipped with.
Clingfilm soles ;)

@Rglen8 my Frieburg tip was posted at 8.00am yesterday could not have posted it any earlier mate. Judging by your post, and apologies if I have misread it, you are having a bad run betting wise, I have been there, got the t shirt and written the book, my first advice is, DO NOT CHASE YOUR LOSSES, accept this as you cannot change it is is gone, what I do is many things, I stop betting, I change my routine, for example yesterday I bet on the football as my horse bets were awful. I have also learned only to bet with money I can afford to not, not money needed to pay a bill, food, or rent/mortgage etc, sorry if this sounds like a lecture, but I am talking from experience. Having learned many bitter lessons I try to be wiser with my betting, again what I do is when I am winning, I build up my "betting bank" once that is done any left over I indulge in a treat for family or myself, and even payy a bill, this year the bill I paid was my council tax, I paid it early, so each month I now have more money left. I am reluctant to put up betting tips today for reasons above, all I can say is take a step back and hope things improve for yourself.

Cheers timalloy. Na nothing too serious lol ill not be marching down to cash converters with the telly :). Posted after a late licence pub visit followed on from watching motd that I had recorded where the results went they way I thought they would, sauced (in the mood to talk nonsense with the bird in her kip) and fancied trying my luck with a few tips hence the drivel under your thread :). i'm rarely in the bookies and its always small flutters. i'm going to take up the duties of being my papas bookie mule due to his dodgy knees and the "best odds bookie" being a bit of a walk for him He is horses so to pass the time i'm keeping my eye out for the odd foot ball punt. Cheers tim

Anybody at the match last night get the feeling that Izzy staying out on his own thanking fans was a sign he may be leaving?

Cprs1 there is no need to ask izzy . Izzy always goes to the Celtic fans and faves them his top. Izzy is so delighted with Celtic , he will have to be thrown out .

Anyone know anything about our reported interest in Dutch defender Mitchell Dijks? From what I have read he is well regarded in Holland and plays mostly as a left back, although can cover at CB as well.

I think it is only a matter of time before we sell VVD but I think we would be making a huge mistake if we sold him before we had negotiated the CL qualifiers.

The reason I say that is twofold:

1. He is easily the best centre back we have and I think it would be hard to get a replacement in and then get him bedded into the team and used to the system and tempo we play.

2. It is likely that Denayer is going back to Man City and it will be bad enough replacing 1 CB as opposed to replacing 2.

What do the rest of you think?

I think it would be good if we could keep him for that but I really doubt he will be here for it, As it would devalue his price if he did stay and Pedro would not like that even though if we qualified we would get more from the CL qualification than we would by selling him but don't think Pedro is a gambling man so I think if there is not a bidding war for him the first team that reaches Pedros estimation he will be gone sadly

Tony2 boy Virgil will be gone if he and his agent insist in him moving . That's what has happened over the last four or five years when our best players have left .
If a player insists in going , I don't think there is much point in keeping him .
I think Delia has a bigger stay in transfers than Lennon and WGS , interesting that it has been reported that Deila , j Collins and Lawwell all met the Man City centre half that we are reported to be interested in , last week
I think Deila seems very confident that Virgil will stay and I trust him .

I seriously doubt that a CL team will bid for him, although I think there will be definite interest; so it would be in Celtic's interest to keep him until the quals are decided.
We always seem to prioritise the cash - just in case we don't qualify, but the Ambrose/Mulgrew partnership is a nightmare.
The success of the team was built on the solid centre back partnership and it will be paramount to replace with CL quality as soon as possible.

Deila added. "What can you do? You can grow potatoes out there."

I love RD, No no nonsense about him.

WARNING. A Timalloy tip. Back to the football, I have been backing against Bayern Munich as they have won their league and seem to have switched off, so today I am taking Frieburg 11/2, they are at home and fighting relegation, my other bets are both teams to score in Norwich/Ipswich game, bigger odds if you bet Norwich win and BTTS, third bet is Stenhousemuir to beat Queens Park. Remember any winnings I collect 10% commission lol

Inter Milan look a big price 7/4 at home against a juve side whose sole focus is the champions league final , inter coming off a cracking away win to Lazio last weekend, good Luck everyone 🍀 😊

@Fab1 don't worry it is usually me who gets all these brave disagreers, I will probably get them now as I reveal my main bet Frieburg won at 11/2, also had Norwich and BTTS at 3/1 only Stenhousemuir beat my treble but as I put bets on individually and perm them still came out on top, at least football tipping has rescued my reputation after my woeful horse tipping.
