Forrest used to get the ball and run at players now when he gets the ball it's always a pass backwards he doesn't want to be there.

Forrest is mince aswell as being stroppy and unprofessional shouldn't even still be at the club never mind getting to wear the captain's armband today makes me want to puke him and commons as well as anyone who downed tools last season should be no where near Celtic.

Don't understand why Forrest gets a game when he's made it clear he doesn't want to sign a contract. Surely it's time to start playing players who want to be here and fight for the jersey and time to get rid of the ones that don't and clearly not up to it. As for commons, I know there's a lot of people on this forum that would be glad to see the back of him, personally for what we paid for commons and the amount of goals he's scored for us I don't get the criticism at all, but I guess everyone is entitled to they're opinion. I for one wouldn't be disappointed if he sticks around.

Forrest had potential and has pace other players don't bit he lacks quality and he is not a young boy any more, hasn't progressed time to move on.

Commons, Forrest, Brown and Bitton can all go and as soon as possible please. Some have given good service, others not. All however are not good enough and have been given enough chances to prove otherwise and failed. Time for some new blood please who are actually worthy.

Every manager everywhere operate from the same basis . They pick the players that they have who they think will do the best job for him .
I would be surprised if B Rodgers would be any different.

That would do me. I'd have the three mids just squeeze in a bit and give Roberts an absolute free license against LRI. Hopefully Ajer can step up. Christie for me, should be a decent enough player to bring on in a game this season. Pips GMS in my book as somebody to cause an opponents defence problems.

Armstrong and Tierney looked really good in first half thought Christie , Rogic and dare I say Ciftci looked good in second half. Mind you it was a friendly and even Efe looked decent.

The more I think about it and after watching the game today I've no doubt that we have a very exciting future.
Very promising young players in Ajer, tierney, Henderson, Christie, dembele and Roberts ( for next 12 months anyway ) are all under 21 and add sviatchenko and Griffiths are the players we should be building our team around. Play Armstrong deep in the middle and an injury free and fit Tom rogic and we have another 2 brilliant young players. Although most have served the club well, I think moving on commons, mulgrew, brown, lustig, Forrest and ambrose would be the best thing possible for the development of this young side.
Although I've been very critical of ciftci and have my doubts over how useful Allan is I think after watching today both could be useful and deserve until January to prove themselves. Ciftci in particular has impressed pre season and if he screws his head on we could have a useful player there.
On Biton and Johanson I'd happily take about £12m for both. Biton in particular I feel is a wasted talent and I'd much rather see Armstrong with more energy and drive.
On top of this an experienced CB, a RB version of tierney and a target man who can hit 30+ a season and we've got a team to compete in the Cl again.

I think Lawwell would take £12 m for Briton and Johannson if he got the chance, it would be more like the half of that i'm O . If Brendan Rodgers feels these players and others are holding the team back then money should be no obstacle in getting rid of them . if some older players are a negative influence we need them out no matter how little we get for them

I think today showed maybe up 18 or 20 youngish players who showed good talent and could be good for us . Janko was rotten at right back on Wednesday mainly because the ball was played to his feet . Today at left back the ball was played well in front of him and it was great to see him making break after break into the opponents penalty area.

Yeah mate, forgot about McGregor. He's another one if he screws his head on he will be useful. He's very similar I think to Armstrong but Armstrong edges it for me.

My mate who lives in Sweden has just text me saying Jordan Larsson is going to Celtic! He told me he was withdrawn from the team today cause he is traveling to Scotland! I have no idea if this is true but just checked and he's not in the Helsingborg squad today! This might just be wishful thing on his behalf who knows that I would post it anyway.

Why would we be signing Jordan Larsson? Would it be in hope that he could as good as HL for him not to live up to expectations and fans to be disappointed, i say leave him where he is and see if he can develop a bit.

In saying that not seen much of him to be honest but what I have seen I think he is maturing into a descent player, and I know he is getting some rave reviews over in Sweden, doesn't mean we should sign him just saying! It doesn't matter if he is Larsson son or Cruyffs son Celtic will only ever sign players they think are good enough to play for Celtic.

He has too IMO, by far one of our best in the CM role especially going forward.

It's who plays beside him that's the tough decision. I'd like to see Armstrong and SJ as they are both energetic and when confident play really well. Who sits back though and the 433 doesn't suit Rogic who I think can become a great player

God knows the best 11 we have and what formation suits us best, old fashion 442 maybe or 4312!

We should be playing Ajer in DM, that's the position he has played and the position he was bought for.
Although until we buy another CB I would play him beside Erik as he looked good there in the pre season games that I watched.

I think the second half of the imps game was crying out for a 4-4-2. I can understand your thinking with SJ and still remember his work rate in his best season was second to none in the team. I'm leaning towards MacG been given the chance, but I am also keen to see what Ajer could give to that CM role.
The few glimpses we have had of him suggests that he is very comfortable on the ball and unlike Bitton can put in a tackle. If he has a range of passes he may be a good shout, but then again Henderson can do that job and injects urgency in to the play. When Henderson plays that role he does tend to drift out of position at times and could leave us exposed. I don't envy the manager have to figure out who is the real deal and who flatters to deceive.
