Just re-watched the game with a calm heed.
So thought I'd rate the players.

Gordon-8 now many on here will know I am not a big fan of his but he made 2 worldy saves out There. Just 2 wee moments were I thought WTF but overall was fantastic

Lustig-7 steady worked hard and great ball forward in run up to first goal

Boyata-7 looked nervous first 5 minutes after that settled and put in a fine display by keeping it simple.

Ajer-7 couple wee moments he got caught out a little but managed to recover each time. Good display

Teirney-7.5 worked his ass off and had the right winger in his back pocket all game. Dangerous going forward tae

Forrest-6.5 worked hard assist for goal and linked well with rogic on more than one occasion.

Brown-9 the general was pure class and control the whole game.

Ntcham-8.5 was like the puppet master at times the way he was pulling the strings in there.

McGregor-8 a buzz bomb with s feather touch some times. Great composure to slide that ball home. Great shift.

Rogic-8.5 on his game the man is a magician just wish we could get him fitter.

Dembele-9 on that form he is unplayable. Cheeky tae

Sinclair-5 was lively but game was being played at walking pace by time he arrived.

Griffiths-5 again lively but not enough time and game at walking pace.

Roberts-6 great play to win penalty.

Rodgers- 10 got everything right on the money.

Special mention to brother Madden. He must have been sick in his own mouth giving they decisions.

Can't disagree with they scores Kev. Overall, the team gets a 9.5 for me. The point 5 loss is simply because to give a ten it would have to have been flawless. Madden had a decent game but even a season ticket holding, sash wearing bigot could not have given our penalties. They are now in meltdown but at some point they will realise that we will already be champions or be winning the league against them in a fortnight. They will be terrified of that prospect of coming to a boiling paradise.
Personally, I think it will be all over this weekend. We will most probably beat Hibs but more importantly, I think they will bottle it against the Edinburgh Huns.
This is how it feels to be Celtic!

When u hear sevconians bleat about the financial disparity, yesterday had nowt to do with it. Better manager - end of. Only 2 of BR singings in starting 11 and one of them cost next to nothing. 9 players of which at least half were under performing under RD. Compare that to there signingπŸ˜‚.

When any Rangets fan can show me a quote from any paper, or rangers fan site, that bemoaned the disparity in resources when they had all Hectors cash, I would maybe give them something for consistency.

That Rangers fan Mathew Lindsay, cannot write a opening para without mentioning the gulf in resources. I would love him to post one, just one, similar reference when his beloved team had all the cash., hectors and the Bank of Scotland’s that is. He won’t because he never mentioned it.

The hope for me is we improve again, defensively at least and qualify for the CL every year ensuring they can never come back unless another guy with β€œoff the charts wealth”, pulls up.

We make us better in the CL, they are in for one helluva period being totally raging.

Let’s hope we assist fulsomely in their continued demise.

Can we have a banter page Hun of the Year Award starting next season based on whose given us the best laugh Ed although in the last few seasons I'd be struggling myself to vote for a winner but here's my Govan fud shortlist:

1. Mark Warburton

2. Pedro Caixino

If I'm forced it's no. 3 for me! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘β˜˜οΈ.

wee question,
Not a pop at anyone as I enjoy both entertainers.
Rod Stewart and Billy Connolly have seats for life at Celtic Park.
I am assuming they do not pay for these?
If that is the case, what have they done (other than be famous and support the club) to deserve this honour?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I can't stand Rod Stewart, he's an attention seeking twat and his music's pish. His concerts etc are just filled by people who like him simply because he's a Celtic supporter and that seems to be a good enough reason to assault your ear drums with that terrible voice.
Billy Connolly used to be funny but he's been so far up his own arse since he went to the US that he just makes me cringe. Kevin Bridges was in danger of going the same way but he seems to have reined it in a bit.
Why they get free tickets is anyone's guess though, Stewart wouldn't buy one that's for sure the miserable stingy ****!}

16 Apr 2018 19:39:04
Not a fan Ed? I'm sure I could picture you with long blonde hair and tartan troos giving it do yah think ahm sexy in your living room! πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I hate him with a passion, Rab. Never trust a Celtic fan that's worn a Rangers top. And never date the type of woman that goes to Rod Stewart concerts!}

16 Apr 2018 20:23:36
thanks for that Ed. I may be way off the mark here but, reading between the lines, you are not a fan of either. Apologies if I made a mistake! almost pmsl.
I liked Rod in the 70's and I was in a wee band playing at Singers club in Clydebank (Open Hand Band) We were topping bill but BC turned up and they asked him to do a turn. He did, took OUR money and fecked oof. He was hilarious in those days but never felt the same towards him as we we struggling to pay for instruments, van rental etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I didn't think he would have done something like that. I like his older stuff and liked him then but since he went to the US and then he was a pretentious walloper in those Billy Connolly's World Tour Of..... shows I just went right off him.}

16 Apr 2018 22:13:53
I think football clubs in general like the celebrity fans as it gives them a higher profile.
At least Billy Connelly has an association with the club whether you like him or not. compare him to Prince William who claims to be an Aston Villa fan. I wonder apart from trying to make himself out to be a man of the people, made him pick them to be his team.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - What association with Celtic does Billy Connolly have that warrants a free seat for life at Celtic Park? And as for Prince William, he's been supporting Aston Villa for around 20 years because he didn't want to just jump on a bandwagon and support a Man Utd or Chelsea and after school pals took him to an Aston Villa game 'incognito' he enjoyed it so much he decided to follow them. I doubt a 15-year-old kid thought of looking like a man of the people when deciding his team.
At least Willie's never been pictured wearing another team's top like Rod the Fraud, he even wore an Aston Villa tie to sis sister-in-law's wedding.}

16 Apr 2018 18:31:18
What a result again. For me Griff was unlucky to be on the bench but boy does the moose turn up in yje big games. Was thinking to myself. I can't remember a time when the gulf was so big. Was thinking if there was a single sevconian who would make our squad. Don't think so. Also. Every player in the squad yesterday would be they're best player by a mile. Snd that squad excluded Armstrong and mousonda who would be there stand out player. I cannot see any way they can realistically challenge us in next 5 years. For me we are just gona go further ahead. I can't help think it would of been better for Scottish football if they had stayed dead. Perhaps then another team. Giving time, would having risen to the challenge.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2018 20:51:09
Benny no one is rising to the challenge any time soon. The only way the door opens for them is if we go backwards. Over the next 24 months we could lose Moussa, Rogic, Armstring, Brown (retires) Tierney maybe even Ajar. That would bring in maybe Β£60mill? So if we used that money to replace no one gets to us and we continue to qualify for CL brining in Β£25mill plus each year. If we lose Rodgers and the above we would go backwards but that would be Celtic causing their own downfall. That is the only way anyone is taking us out.

Right bhoys where do we all stand on Tommy Rogic? I was of the opinion that it would probably be best to look for at least somebody to challenge, and in time, replace him, given his fitness record. However since he's came back into the side, and done what he's done. I'm torn. Would it be foolish to give him a bumper deal? Or is it a no brainer given his talent. Can we afford the luxury of having a player who might miss half a season, but is one of the first names on the sheet when he's fit.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2018 17:06:28
It's a no brainer me JT any big game player / big goalscorer stays IMO again if the boy was " problem free " he would easily command bigger wages than he does now elsewhere

16 Apr 2018 18:12:47
I would love him to renew as he is an outstanding player. The only thing that he is missing is pace but I think his quickness of thought and close control compensate for that.

Let's hope we manage to tie him up on a new contract and we get at least another 2 seasons out of him.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Apr 2018 18:56:10
It was evident when he was missing that we lacked his class and our play was very predictable. However, he has always had a stamina and fitness issue - so it's not a new dilemma.
I think - even if he does miss a number of games - it's a real bonus to have someone who can create goals/ chances out of nothing, especially during the run-in, when others are tiring/ jaded and he is like a new signing with big goals in big games every time.
Tam Must Stay.

JimTim: I asked a week or 2 ago, if you had the choice and could only pick 1 player. which one would you keep.

Rogic or Armstrong.

2 players of different qualities.

Who would you keep, as it looks like Armstrong will leave Keep Rogic.
Pick 1 = Armstrong.
Cpould we keep the 2 then yes please.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2018 22:32:53
That's a tough one Peter. If I could only pick one it would probably be Armstrong. Slightly different players as you say though. I think the replies here have made up my mind. Feck it, sign Rogic up. When he is fit he's a joy to watch and it costs serious money to get a player of his quality right now. As for Armstrong, I'm expecting to move on. The manner of his last extension suggests he sees the time as being soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 22:00:40
My opinion of Tom Rogic is the same this week as last week and other weeks .
At times on Sunday Rogic was excellent but at other times he let the game run past him . Most of us that like Rogic would love more Rogic.

A highly opinionated and intelligent man is Micheal Stewert, i rarely disagree with him. that's simply because the guy can explain difficult situations in a simple and clear way. Most of the other diddies just stutter and stumble their way through analysis.

16 Apr 2018 08:56:35
So. 'only one man can sort this out' seems to be the mantra among hurting sevconians. you all know who the one man is though right? The blessed cardigan himself. Seriously. There's a peek into the psychology of sevco right there. Living in the past with no clue how to move into the future.

This is and always will be their problem. After murrays 'astute financial planning' years ended the first rangers, what do they do? Any guy with a few quid, kid on money or real, gets carried down edmiston drive. No, really, remember Craigy Bhoy with the throngs at ibrokes? Chuck in (see what i did there) a few no surrenders and and your golden. let the fleecing begin.

Yesterday was a ritual humilliation. A massacre, a doing or anything else you want to call it.
They are very lucky to have got out at four. The sooner these fans realise this is not rangers but a watered down version, minus the tax and debt facility, and stop looking for someone to invest, in what exactly?, the better for them.

They owe the 'holding company', i know i know, around 15m and Close will be looking for around four million. Tax and VAT rumble on through the close season but income does not. And without any overdraft facility it's gather the gingies time.

Accept where you are. Try and run efficiently and on a strict budget to try to generate cash from outgoing players. This has to be done now surely? The problem is days like today will become normal, and this will not fill ibrokes. The peepul need success and Timmy put in his place.

Our club have been working on this model for over twenty years. You really expect sevco to do it in, what. two three five? Going back does no good. I'm sure colin stein would still win a few headers, good luck with that.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2018 09:21:18
Was discussing this last night GJ. The best thing this deluded club can do is try to run itself properly and get to the levels of Aberdeen, Hibs, and Hearts off the field. They think they can just get loan after loan to try compete with us? It does not help when you have fans obsessed with thinking they are number 1 and should be number 1. Have they learnt nothing from the original clubs death. You would think yesterdays annihilation would be a wake up call to these idiots. As for getting WS back, quite refreshing to know they are only taking their Tardis back a decade normally it's centuries.

Agree3 Disagree0

16 Apr 2018 10:01:05
I've been saying the same thing since 2012 - ever since the ostriches, hun-media and the cheats who got Oldco liquidated, maintained the 'same club' garbage, were fooling only themselves.

If they had been honest enough to admit that TRIFC was a new club, they would have been able to enjoy the series of promotions to the SPL and competition with Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts and Kilmarnock etc for respectability and progress; instead of carrying on this charade and pretense about past lives and woulda, coulda, shoulda mentality.

The only gap that is closing now is the one between TRIFC 2012 and the administrators and who knows what?

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Apr 2018 10:05:49
When you listen to some of their fans, I had the particular pleasure of one yesterday, the sense of entitlement they have is gobsmacking. I had to firmly remind this joker yesterday that they don't deserve to just turn up for second place, their run in will be the most difficult thing they will face this season. Forget us, we are in another stratosphere.

Their big cup finals against Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen and Killie could actually break them this year and with no European football to contribute to their coffers, they are dead in the water next season.

I also asked my 'pal' why they didn't accept the huge offer for Morelos and his answer? They needed him for the league run in and will sell in the summer for Β£15 million. Good luck with that I said, teams don't usually shell out Β£15m for a guy who takes the huff and couldn't score up the red light district.

@stan, they are where they where pre souness and latterly murray. liquidation should have been accepted and a new rangers minus the baggage and expectation formed. In reality they should not have been in the senior leagues, rules is rules but not here apparently, but they were and could have become the new gallant pie eaters.

Big crowds, young team blending with experience and four -five years later in the SPFL, A hardened team of early twenties with 60-80 league games under the belt. They would have been a force first season. But led by sneaky ally and the rest they played at being 'rangers'. Hows that working for them.

Bhoys you all make great points. Formallygreenjhedi makes a great point about if they had started bringing through their own 5 years ago. They probably need to start that now so they are 5 years behind. I can't see how they come back. Will they get through Europa qualifiers even if they finish 2nd or 3rd? I am not sure they will. Also i can see 3 x trebles coming up. Who can stop us. Make sure we don't beat ourselves by being complacent but no one is close especially Rangers who I really believe are heading for trouble off the field.

Performances may not have been pretty this season but domestically when it has mattered we have delivered. On our day we can be sensational and ruthless. Throughout the season we have had joys and anger, every emotion possible but that is the norm following a club you love. We all have our favourites and at times we think we know better than BR, the truth is this squad of players have unfairly had to work it's way into the CL group stages while others are given entry for finishing 4th. Playing an astonishing amount of games far more than any other club, not to mention horrendous bad luck with injuries. As the dust settles after handing out another thumping to our Zombie rivals we should all do our bit to show the Manager and every player in that squad how proud we are of them. Laugh at the other lot, they wanted the draw, the gap is closing we hear, do not be fooled they are as bad on the field as they are off it. This summer is a foot on the throat moment the Celtic Board can bury this lot for good. I for one am going to enjoy every moment. Enjoy the rest of the season Tims. Hopefully it ends with the double treble and everyone can then enjoy giving our captain a day to remember on his well deserved Testimonial. I hope he remains at CP long after his playing days are over. Legend.

Got to agree that - apart from a couple of European games - we have handled every big game with confidence, class and efficiency.
To have only lost two domestic games (so far) in two years is the most consistently successful Celtic side I have seen since The Lions. Hopefully, the summer 'window'does not see too many of our stars leaving - a clear-out of surplus and the addition of more quality to maintain domestic dominance and achieve a realistic run in Europe.

Just in and I will watch the highlights. In all my days I've never been so relaxed as today (compared to 90 min of nerves and palpations! ) . Bossed the game from start to finish. My only disappointment is taking the foot of the pedal and not getting more.2 good saves by CG in a frantic 2 minutes of ranger's pressure. There lucky to have had 10 men on the field at the end with some of what they got away with. Broony was immense and MD always steps up v that lot! HH.
